PLANET IN ITS OWN HOUSE

Posted by [email protected] on August 20, 2018 at 8:55 AM Comments comments (0)

A planet in its own house such as Jupiter in the ninth house, (the ninth house is naturally ruled by Jupiter), is almost as strong as having a planet in its natural sign, such as Jupiter in Sagittarius. A planet is at home in its natural house position and its energies are comfortable and expressed well there. Of course, the aspects have an influence on this but if the aspects are more positive or easy flowing ones then the energies will be easily released.

It is important to take into consideration the house a planet is located in as this helps to define how the energies will be released and expresses what areas of is involved. Having a planet in its own sign and also in its natural house position (Jupiter in Sagittarius and found in the 9th house) will be very strong and the energies of Jupiter (expansion, good fortune, optimism and favorable outcomes) would have great opportunities to be released in a positive manner when a transiting planet makes an aspect to this placement and energizes the natal potential.

The energies of the transiting planet as well as the aspects it makes will of course have to be explored; however, even when a challenging aspect or difficult planetary energy makes contact to the planet, the potential for a positive outcome is very high.

Having the Sun in Leo, for example, in the fifth house, would suggest that this individual is very self-expressive, probably has abilities either in the performing arts or through their creative expression and would undoubtedly have the best interests of others in mind, especially their children and lover. The ability to move ahead in their endeavours and the opportunity to reach their goals would be enhanced.

If, for example, Saturn was in square to this position (in our example) and in the second house, this individual would probably have to work a little harder at reaching these objectives, but would still likely reach these goals, and in turn potentially creating more inner stability and potential of making a good earn as well. Their creative expression would be enhanced and they would easily sell themselves to others in a favourable manner.

Do you have planets in their natural house placement in your Astrology chart?

SOUL OR FINAL DISPOSITOR PATTERN

Posted by [email protected] on August 17, 2018 at 9:45 AM Comments comments (0)

The final Dispositor in Astrology is basically the chain of command. One planet, sometimes two planets, rules the chart. If there is a planet in its own sign, for example, Saturn in Capricorn, it becomes the final Dispositor or chief in command.

The Dispositor pattern is determined by the planets in the signs. For example, start with the Ascendant and for this example, we will use Sagittarius as the rising sign (Ascendant). With this example (Sagittarius as the rising sign), the rising sign or Ascendant is ruled by Jupiter (the natural ruler of Sagittarius), Jupiter is in Aries and so Aries natural ruler is Mars. Mars is in Scorpio and Scorpio is naturally ruled by Pluto. Pluto is in the sign of Leo and Leo rules the Sun. The Sun is in Aquarius and Aquarius is ruled by Uranus. Uranus is in the sign of Cancer and Cancer is ruled by the Moon and the Moon is ruled by Scorpio bringing the ruler back to Pluto. In this situation so far Pluto (which is in Scorpio is in its natural rulership) is the Soul Dispositor.

We have not yet touched on Venus which is in Sagittarius ruled by Jupiter and Jupiter is in Aries ruled by Mars. We have already followed that route which brought us to Pluto.

We have not touched on Saturn which is in Libra ruled by Venus which is ruled by Sagittarius going back again to Jupiter and following that same route to Pluto.

We have not touched on Neptune which is ruled by Venus and Venus is in Sagittarius bring us back to Jupiter and ending that cycle to Pluto. As you can see, Pluto is the common denominator and will be the final Dispositor in our example.

If we used another example such as Saturn is in Libra and Venus is in Capricorn these planets are in mutual reception (Libra rules Venus and Saturn rules Capricorn). These two planets will be very significant in the person’s life. Having these two planets in each other’s signs stop the chain of command and makes them both very significant in the chart.

If planets are in their own sign in a chart, for example Saturn in Capricorn, the examination goes no further and this becomes the final Dispositor. Sometimes there are two interplanetary links that constantly come to the forefront. In this case, both of these planets are extremely important in the birth chart and together they share the rulership of the Astrology chart.

The ruler of the Ascendant is also been called the ruler of the chart, and its planetary ruler is of extreme importance as well. For example, Sagittarius as an ascendant will make Jupiter extremely important in the life of this individual.

If Libra were the rising sign, then Venus would be very important for this individual.

Remember that the ascendant sign is how we relate to the world. It is our outside expression and the individual with Libra rising would then be very social, very pleasing to meet, would seek harmony and balance in their life and would resonate in this way to those that they meet especially during their initial contact.

The final Dispositor is the planet which other planets depend on and this planet will have a profound effect in the individual’s life. In the example we used at the start of this post, Pluto will play a prominent role in the unfolding of this individual but so will Mars as the co-ruler. Jupiter in Aries will also play a significant role in this individual’s unfolding. As a result, these two planetary links provide the needed stimulus to propel this individual forward in reaching their life’s objectives.

Follow your chain of command and see which planet or planets affect you in a direct and creative manner. This will be the driving force and motivating factor in your life.

The final Dispositor pattern is known as the Dispositor Tree.

WHAT ARE YOUR TRUE COLOURS?

Posted by [email protected] on August 16, 2018 at 8:35 AM Comments comments (0)

Do you adjust your face to the world to fit what you think is expected of you by others in any given situation?

Are you comfortable with a chameleon type lifestyle?

Are you comfortable showing your own true colours?

The human race has flourished due to its ability to adapt. We all adapt to our life conditions to survive. To feel that it is necessary to adapt our persona to different situations in life, however, is unrelated to our physical survival. This only serves to please others. Through experience and self preservations many of us have learned that the only way we can feel perfect in our own skin is to wear it with confidence and pride. After all, the best person we can be is the exact person we truly are.

If you disapprove of a characteristic, you don’t have to own it. See it for what it is and then let it go. It does not define you. The energy of love within is the true energy of self. All the rest are only learned characteristics.

Let your true colours shine through (just as Cyndi Lauper once sang). Be yourself. You surely will be happy and comfortable with the outcome.

Your life becomes a reflection of your thoughts and focus. Encourage growth; focus on the positive, be grateful and be genuine to yourself!

TIGHT ASPECTS IN ASTROLOGY - PROGRESSIONS

Posted by [email protected] on August 15, 2018 at 8:00 AM Comments comments (0)

We are continuing our look at tight aspects in Astrology from August 8, 2018 (Natal aspects) and August 13, 2018 (Transit’s aspects). Today, we are winding up our look as tight aspects by focusing on progressions.

We reiterate that when deciphering a chart whether this chart is a natal chart, a transit, a progression, a solar, a composite or any type of chart for that matter, it is important to consider specific points of interest. The planets or significant points (Ascendant, Midheaven and to a lesser degree the IC and DC) closely joined to one another by aspect are points of interest and should be noteworthy.

When it comes to progressions the unfolding of events is quite similar to transits, although many progressed aspects often come from an internal perspective and may not actually manifest in the external world.

The progressed Sun has an orb of influence of three degrees, one and a half degrees approaching and one and a half degrees separating. This means that its impact will last approximately three years. Its most powerful influence is when it is within thirty minutes of being direct and the closer to being direct the stronger its energies will be.

The progressed Moon has a three degree influence as well, one degree approaching, one degree direct which is the peak energy and one degree separating. The progressed Moon moves one degree each month while the progressed Sun moves one degree each year. As a result the progressed Moon will be in effect for a total of 3 months.

As mentioned in our earlier post, the transits of the Sun, Mars and Uranus act as timers. This also applies to the progressed Moon. These luminaries and planets will help initiate events when transits are in place. Many transits (an example might be transiting Pluto squaring natal Venus still off by half a degree of being direct) can be set off by as much as half a degree before being direct by these transits.

In comparison, when deciphering a progressed aspect to the natal positioning, many Astrologers use a 12 to 15 minute approach to being direct. This is due to the slow movement of the progressions, particularly the outer progressed planets. I would suggest that you only take in to consideration a five minute angle when speaking in terms of the outer planets in progressions. (Outer planets being Saturn through Pluto)

A natal aspect becoming direct using progressions and the exact timing when it becomes direct either moving from retrograde to direct or direct to retrograde over the precise position in the birth chart is also very important. Remember to take into consideration that one day in the progressed chart equals one year of actual time. The natal potential can unfold during these times.

An example of this might be a natal sextile becoming direct with Neptune and Pluto having a profound effect in the month or several months leading up to when if forms an exact sextile. It might be out by as much as 2 degrees in the birth chart but when it becomes direct through progression it is emphasized and can have profound effects.

There are many multi layers that must be examined when translating the story an Astrology chart is telling. What we have touched on in these three posts on aspects is only scraping the surface.

INTUITION

Posted by [email protected] on August 14, 2018 at 8:45 AM Comments comments (0)

Intuitive guidance can be utilized at any time if you are open to the message. It has no prerequisite. Intuition could be called the voice, the seeing, the smell, the touching, the tasting, the understanding of the unconscious. In most cases it is subtle but in some cases it speaks clearly and concisely. These are the times we cannot question its validity.

Intuition can come as a warning, can contain needed information and can be counted on. It provides insight when you cannot find the answers with our rational mind. It is available when you need it most if we quiet the babbling mind. Intuition is a profound tool at our disposal, although it is rarely forceful. We can utilize the information (in whatever form) that comes to us or we can allow is to pass us by. It is a choice.

The mind will continually question information obtained intuitively. It will question its validity most always. We will instinctively know or feel that the information we receive is truth. Our gut will tell us so. Sometimes we can be so wrapped up in events that the information go by with little notice and we will recall, after the event is over. It is then that we wish we had listened to that “hunch”.

When the situation is dangerous, intuition can be anything but subtle. The message can be very pronounced. The more you pay attention to your intuition, the clearer the messages will become and the easier it is to recognize their importance.

Let your intuitive insight be your guiding. Recognizing that it stems from your higher self, and it can always be relied upon.

Intuition is your guiding companion.

TIGHT ASPECTS IN ASTROLOGY - TRANSITS

Posted by [email protected] on August 13, 2018 at 8:55 AM Comments comments (0)

We are continuing our look at tight aspects in astrology from August 8, 2018.

As mentioned, when deciphering a chart whether this chart is a natal chart, a transit, a progression, a solar, a composite or any type of chart for that matter, it is important to consider specific points of interest. The planets or significant points (Ascendant, Midheaven and to a lesser degree the IC and DC) closely joined to one another by aspect are point of interest and are more noteworthy.

Our August 8 focus was on natal aspects. Today we will continue by looking at transits and on August 15 we will wind up our look by focusing on progressions.

All transits are at their peak experience when they become direct. Saturn is the only planet that is the exception. Saturn’s influence is often felt more strongly once it has passed being direct and is two degrees separating, after which its energy wanes off. Many of the transiting planets particularly the outer planets (from Saturn out to Pluto {yes Pluto}) can be felt up to 5 degrees approaching and are still in force but weakening up to 2 degrees past direct.

The transits of Uranus, Mars and the Sun can be used as timing tools as they are reliable indicators of events when their degrees are direct. Uranus, in particular, is a good indicator of an event when it is direct. It is important, however, to acknowledge that you require at least three planetary links that are similar in their expression to ensure a potential life event. One link alone will often not produce sufficient energies to create an important event and may even go by with little to no noticeable consequence at all.

It is also important to take into consideration the aspects between the planets involved in the transit and how they are linked in the natal chart. The birth chart always tells the story or the potential and is the motivating force behind all transits. An unaspected or weak natal positioning will work quite differently from a powerfully positioned aspect in the natal chart. The natal potential always has to be taken into consideration. A person will not win the lottery unless it is written in the birth (natal) chart.

Again, we will continue with tight aspects with progressions on August 15, 2018.

NEW LEO MOON SOLAR ECLIPSE

Posted by [email protected] on August 10, 2018 at 9:10 AM Comments comments (0)

We had indicated on August 8 that we would continue our look on tight aspects in Transits and Progressions today. However, we thought it much more important to discuss the New Moon, Solar Eclipse which will take place tomorrow, August 11, 2018. We will continue our look at tight aspects on August 13 and 15.

The New Moon (Partial) Solar Eclipse begins at 5:57 am EDT and is 18 degrees in the sign of Leo. It should be noted that because the moon is visible during daytime hours, the night skies will be quite dark which is ideal for viewing the Perseid meteor showers (if Momma Nature co-operates) which peak, I believe, on August 13.

Those with their Sun, Moon, angles or other planetary links to this position will not only be influenced by this New Moon position but also by the Solar eclipse. This will be the third and final solar eclipse of 2018. This eclipse can be viewed (again if Momma Nature co-operates) in the north Atlantic in northern Canada, the Arctic, northern and eastern parts of Europe and some northern and western parts of Asia.

The energies of a Solar eclipse is said to last the equal amount of years as hours of the time span of the eclipse. The average Solar Eclipse lasts 3 to 4 hours, so the average duration of the energetic influence would be 3 to 4 years. This partial eclipse will be much shorter than this in totality. There are times when an outpouring of events and insights (particularly with this eclipse being linked to Mercury) occur on the given day of the eclipse.

The issues or knowledge that arises during this event (although not limited to this period) will be what needs to be discussed over the upcoming duration of the eclipse influence (in years). So what is brought to the surface will need dealing with over the whole period when activated by transits to this location in the Astrology chart. The eclipse becomes much more relevant when we have positions within the birth chart that are within 3 degrees by aspect to the 18 degree mark of Leo.

Progress is often made during the upcoming years, although some changes that do take place can be very transformative and will require adjustments due to the correlation of transiting Pluto which is quincunx this position at 19 degrees of Capricorn.

Unfortunately, some people fear eclipses as they have found that it brings the unconscious into consciousness and makes them aware of subtleties that would not normally be recognized.

Some, on the other hand, experience a hyperawareness with a feeling or knowing that they are capable of doing most anything during this period and this is certainly not to be feared.

We will also have a quincunx to transiting Neptune during this period. Neptune is currently at 15 degrees of Pisces. A quincunx speaks of adjustments and awareness consciously or unconsciously of what can be done, sometimes through intuitive understanding due to Neptune’s influence. You will have to take note of where this eclipse falls in your natal chart as well as the houses where transiting Neptune and Pluto are found. These will be areas of life that will be affected during this upcoming period. Transits that form an opposition and the conjunction over this placement in the upcoming years at 18 degrees Leo can have a most profound influence if activated in your chart.

The sign of the New Moon Eclipse (Leo) is also very significant and the energies are linked to the sign and its natural unfolding. Leo is a fixed fire sign often suggesting enthusiasm for life, engagement and a strong belief in self and personal capabilities. Leo is not easily sways, although the best intensions are always at heart in matters of importance. Leo is eager to help and assist and often feels as though they know what is best for others. During this period, perhaps we should pay attention to this and follow our heart and do what is best.

The New Moon also stimulates activity and is a good time to begin new things (Planting seeds in the garden of life). It is said that a solar eclipse can help us break patterns of behaviour that no longer serve a viable purpose and we can reboot our vigar in moving ahead in our life’s matters. Encourage your eagerness and utilize these energies appropriately.

The transiting planetary positioning suggested by the Sun/Moon conjunction in Leo and the quincunx’s from Neptune in Pisces and Pluto in Capricorn form what is called a Yod or Finger of God formation. This configuration often speaks of emotional or psychological readjustments and the focal planet (Sun/Moon) by house and sign positioning is the area of life that needs our attentiveness. Yods often indicate turning points when we can meet the demands set up often due to a crisis in our lives. We can then work on a constructive resolution to the dilemma and come out ahead in the end.

This can be the perfect time to move away from problem areas of life and to make creative changes that not only affect our life’s course but will also help others in ways that we may not even be aware of.

The sextile between Neptune and Pluto can bring opportunities for resolution often through direct confrontation with self and an honest focus, which in turn creates positive impacts in our life.

AFTER THE STORM COMES THE SUN

Posted by [email protected] on August 9, 2018 at 8:50 AM Comments comments (0)

Have we reached our tipping point?

The world in many ways seems to heading for collapse.

Politically, specifically, there seems to be much unrest. Could this signal the point of collapse? If so, how will this affect us?

Does this state in politics reveal that the duties and motives of some politicians are misrepresented?

In the free world, politicians are supposed to reflect and act upon the choices and sentiment of their people. If our politicians are not doing this than either they are not fulfilling their duties or our understanding of leadership is incorrect.

It feels at times that we are in the midst of a storm and it appears that many are being swept into the turmoil of its force. After any storm, however, is there not a clearing and then the sun returns?

Some of us recognize that what is currently taking place is a simple storm and nothing more. It does not have to be catastrophic and debilitating, but once it clears, it should enhance a welcomed change.

There are many that are awakening to a clearer understanding of self and in turn a clearer understanding of the path our world is moving towards. It does not have to be devastation or disillusion. It is a foreseeable turning point where we can learn to work together. There can be a unique interchange which has not been adhered to up to this point.

We are on this road together. Many are awakening to their true self and their authentic light is shining bright.

We cannot help but see it if we are looking for this energy. We feel it within the core of our being and we understand that it is unfolding and expanding at an increasing rate.

In the face of adversity, stand tall. Know that you are meant to be here and experience today’s events.

Have faith in the process. Believe in yourself and stay open. Allow love and compassion, and you will bring love and compassion to our world.

You do not have to own the sentiment or energies of those around you. Their energies and focus are theirs, not yours. Stay true to who you are and do not own the turmoil around you. This storm too will pass.

TIGHT ASPECTS IN ASTROLOGY

Posted by [email protected] on August 8, 2018 at 8:50 AM Comments comments (0)

When deciphering an Astrology chart whether the chart is a natal, transit, progression, solar, composite or any type of chart for that matter, it is important to consider specific points of interest. The planets or significant points (Ascendant, Midheaven and to a lesser degree the IC and DC) closely joined to one another by aspect are points of interest and are more noteworthy.

All aspects in a chart play a part in defining the individual or events in question but the closer a MAJOR aspect is to being direct the stronger its influence. (Direct being defined as being at the same degree.) (Major aspects are 0° -conjunction, 60° -sextile, 90° -square, 120° -trine and 180° -opposition).

MINOR aspects are important as well but major aspects hold the greatest relevance when interpreting a chart. It should be noted that a minor aspect within minutes of being direct can have a more profound affect than some major aspect that is, for example, at 2 degrees of separation. (Minor aspects include but not limited to inconjunct -150°, semi-sextile -30°, quintile -72°, semi-square 45° and sequiquadrate -135°)

The conjunction followed by the opposition and then the square are the most powerful aspects in Astrology. The challenging aspects are usually more significant because they challenge us and force us into action. The planets that are making aspects to one another have to be taken into consideration as well as the energies of the aspect itself to get a clear picture of the story being told.

For example, Pluto square Mars is a much more powerful combination than Mercury square Jupiter, even if the square between Mercury and Jupiter were tighter (closer to the exact degree). Once again the distance between planets and their energies with one another have to be taken into consideration.

This information applies to natal interpretation as well as in composite charts while transits behave quite differently. We will look at transiting planets in our next Astrology post on August 10, 2018 and then on August 13, we will focus on progressions.

HARVESTING KNOWLEDGE

Posted by [email protected] on August 7, 2018 at 8:45 AM Comments comments (0)

There are many, many learning tools at our disposal in this classroom of life.

Some individuals seem to enter this life equipped with ingrained understandings of many advanced principles, while others are learning and formulating concepts as their life progresses. The further we delve into our life’s lessons, the more we realizes how much more knowledge there is still to process and just how little we are actually are aware of.

As mentioned, there are a great many tools available to us and our greatest teacher is life itself. We can study in classrooms and groups through organized activities that will enhance our understanding. We can accelerate our understanding of spirituality, metaphysical concepts and occult practices through reading, meditation and other practices. No matter how prepared and informed we may feel, we will not arrive at the next stage of understanding until we are spiritually ready. The higher self, our inner connections, the universal energy (call it what you will) knows when the timing is right. One of our greatest lessons relates directly to the fine art of learning patience. (Oh that is such a hard one!)

Those “advanced” students in the spiritual classroom know the secret to achievement (if this is what you want to call it). They utilize all that they understand daily through practical applications. They are human and they accept failure but they do not own it. They are human and they get excited with advancements but they do not let ego run with this either. They accept that there is little to no purpose in understanding what they have been taught if they are not fully practicing what they know. Without question, this can be difficult. It takes much work and dedication.

Beware of self-deception as we begin to feel like we are mastering the techniques at hand. In reality we are more than likely just at the doorstep to real progress. Ego often stands in the way of real understanding and development.

Be content with knowing and continually practice what you do understand.

Gratitude is a giant step forward. It is a personal choice to fully live our knowledge as knowledge alone is nothing more than a garden filled with produce left unharvested.

STATIONARY PLANETS IN THE NATAL CHART OR IN TRANSIT

Posted by [email protected] on August 3, 2018 at 10:40 AM Comments comments (1)

Planets from Mercury to Pluto (yes we are including poor little Pluto) have cycles referred to as retrograde and direct motion. The Sun and the Moon never go into retrograde motion.

The Planets, at times, appear to slow down in the heavens. They then appear to stop their forward motion. During this appearance of their stoppage of motion, it is known as stationary retrograde (because the planet is about to go into retrograde motion). The planet will remain in this stationary position for up to a few days duration, depending on the planet in question. After the planet moves into retrograde motion (appears to be moving backwards) and completes this retrograde cycle, it once again slows down and then appear to come to a stop. This is termed stationary direct in Astrology. The length of time a planet is in stationary direct also depends on the planet involved.

The outer planets remain in their stationary position much longer than the inner planets.

Some Astrologers, including this Astrologer, share the concept (through experience) that the stationary direct as well as the stationary retrograde have a very powerful influence on the energies in a natal chart.

It has been noted that an individual with a planet in a stationary position in the birth chart will have emphasize on the energies represented by the planet in question. There is also influence from the sign that the planet is in and the house that stationary planet is located in.

Some Astrologers through client chart studies have found evidence that the stationary planet can be the most powerful influence in the birth chart and that the energies of this stationary planet will rule much of the activity that will be released. At some point in the person’s life, these energies and the influence of the planet will become very significant. The energies of the stationary planet have been linked to the defining purpose of the individual’s life.

This Astrologer believes that if there are other signatures within the birth chart that point in the same direction and imply something very similar, this is the case, particularly if the North or South nodes are involved in the equation.

It has been suggested that someone with a stationary retrograde planet in the birth chart will at some point experience the energies related to the planet involved within the area of life the house dictates as well as the energies of the sign it falls under. However, the individual with the stationary retrograde will only discover how to use these energies after a time of lengthy inner reflection coupled with life experiences that will lead to an awakening of sorts again depending on the planet and its placement. This may take time as well as much self-study or thought-provoking experiences before it is released. This is quite similar to a retrograde planet in the birth chart as it suggests that there is some inner reflection required before action can be taken.

The stationary direct individual has a different experience although the process is the same. The stationary directs influence depends on the sign the stationary planet is in and the house placement. However, the stationary direct individual has a much more easy time unleashing the energies associated with the planet and its placement (much less self-study and reflection). Things seem to work more smoothly and on a more outward expression. The motivating factor that facilitates the desired information or acknowledgement and understanding can be released at a much early stage in life or under less restrictive conditions. The Stationary direct influence works in a similar manner as a planet that is in direct motion.

The energies released and the influence of the planet involved is of primary importance but the direct stationary energies seemed to come through in a much more flowing, less restrictive manner than the energies of the retrograde stationary planet.

These energies work in a similar manner through transit. For the period of time the transit influence is in effect, the individual will be subject to these energies being released. The difference between a transit and a natal positioning is that the transit is temporary in nature while the natal influence will express itself when the individual is ready during the full life cycle.

OUR LIFE???S SIGNATURE

Posted by [email protected] on August 2, 2018 at 7:35 AM Comments comments (0)

We have all come into this life with unique character traits, each identified as our own. Many of us will find people we can converse with due to our similar evolutionary stages in life, but it is next to impossible to find someone who can completely comprehend the intimate internal climate of our own personal sphere of existence.

This understanding can make some of us feel alone.

Nonetheless, we can have a wonderful intimate bond with those that recognize this connection which is beyond the material world.

Is this our souls’ connection?

The people that seem to come and go quickly in our lives are often put in place to help us during traumatic life interchanges or to start us in a new direction on our path. They seem to appear almost magically and teach us valuable lessons that we might have been wrestled with by ourselves for long periods of time. They are here one moment and then gone the next. Some call these individuals angels of spiritual intervention and they were destined to a short but important interchange.

Your life’s signature develops as you do. Often those that we call family or friends have a long term influence in our journey but those that quickly come and go can have a very important influence on the flow of our personal signature.

We learn from all of these individuals. We can take on certain characteristics from them or we can be determined to never take on certain characteristics they display. Either way they are valuable lessons and they influence our life’s signature nonetheless.

For some of us, we muster up the courage and good fortunate to look deep within and we experience the honour of appreciating our true inner self. We are able to get glimpses of the soul personality. This in part is a stepping stone in our awakening process.

Our life’s signature experiences constant touchups.

Will we every understand our true identity?

A PLANET ON THE MIDHEAVEN

Posted by [email protected]com on August 1, 2018 at 10:45 AM Comments comments (0)

Today we are going to focus on a planet on the Midheaven (the MC).

A planet connected to the Midheaven by conjunction (up to 2 degrees before the MC or in the ninth house and up to 5 degrees past the MC or in the tenth house) is said to have a powerful influence on our goals in life. It will also impact our life’s path, our occupation or profession as well as our public image and standing in the community. About 5% of the population will have this energetic influence in their chart.

When you take into consideration the energies of the planet that “lives” on your MC within the degrees indicated and you utilize the energies available to you, the chances for success are enhanced.

Quite often the sign on the MC will provide clues as to what type of job would be suitable for the individual and the planet tied to this placement will add to this influence.

For example, someone with Gemini MC would do well in teaching and may have literary abilities especially if the north or south nodes are located in Gemini. The North Node would signify that this is part of the life’s plan, while the South Node would indicate that this was significant in a previous incarnation or these abilities would come natural to the individual and that they could use these abilities in this life.

If, for example, this individual also have Mars tied to the MC either in the ninth or tenth, this placement would further enhance these abilities. Mars always provides the push to move ahead. Even if tied to Saturn in some way, this push would be enhanced and would help propel this individual forward.

If Jupiter were the planet closely linked to this position, there would be good luck and expansion potential.

If the individual in question had Saturn linked to this MC positioning then there would still be drive and ambition associated with this position, yet it would be expected that this individual would have to work hard for the end results. Saturn would test the resilience and suggest possible delays before potentially providing security and structure as time passes. It may take longer and the drive may not be as extensive or forceful as it would be with Mars as the driving force on the MC. There would, however, probably be less mistakes along the way with the Saturn influence and this link would provide longevity and stability over time.

If Uranus were tied to this Gemini MC, there might still be links to writing and teaching yet this individual would be innovative and may move towards their objectives in sudden bursts of inspiration. Their writing skills may be considered provocative although probably insightful but they may also be considered somewhat eccentric in their approach.

Neptune in this location might indicate that there are literary abilities and these might be linked to mystical writings and spiritual concepts.

You can see that taking into consideration the surrounding planets to the MC can provide a much clearer insight into an individual’s approach to what they could do for a living and how that might be released.

These are potentials and there would have to be an thoroughly examination of the individual’s Sun sign, rising sign, and Nodal positioning to get a clearer understanding of how these energies might be released or be harnessed.

FINDING THE SOLUTION

Posted by [email protected] on July 31, 2018 at 10:15 AM Comments comments (0)

There is generally a feeling of great satisfaction when you are able to rectify an issue on your own. You followed your inner guide and took control on a very personal level. By conquering this issue you not only reassured yourself that you can rely on that inner guidance but you also build confidence in yourself. This will assist you in recognizing the tools that are available to you at any time. By attempting to resolve the issue, successfully or unsuccessfully, you have grown stronger.

There will be times, however, when we have exhausted all efforts at resolving problems and there just does not seem to be a resolution at hand. We go to great lengths applying ourselves to resolving a situation and yet nothing of substance seems to materialize. We can then reach the end of our ropes and are ready to give up. As a last resort, we reach out for outside help. Sometimes all it takes is another person just listening and as we explain our situation, the answers come into focus. Other times it is just that ear that we need to not feel alone. There will be other times that we need someone else’s guidance as we are so close to the issue that we are not seeing (or thinking) clearly.

Sometimes the issue becomes so overwhelming that even our closest friends or family cannot help provide us with answers. This is certainly the time to reach out for professional assistance, to people that are trained in helping specifically with issues that you are experiencing. Do not allow your ego to get in the way of the solution.

Whether we recognize a solution or someone else has to assist us in finding a resolution, in the end, we are the ones that have to do the work. Whether you stand alone or with others, you are strong enough to overcome. Recognize that strength. Know that you have what it takes and stand tall in the face of any life situation.

MINI FORECAST FOR SUN IN LEO

Posted by [email protected] on July 30, 2018 at 9:50 AM Comments comments (0)

Today, we will be touching on Saturn and Pluto both in the sign of Capricorn and their effects on an individual with their Sun in Leo.

For those individuals with their Sun in the sign of Leo, you will be experiencing the quincunx between your Sun and Saturn for the rest of 2018 and throughout all of 2019. You will have to check on the degree of your Sun to see when these energies will be at their peak. (An exact quincunx between Saturn and the Sun is when Saturn is exactly 150 degrees from your Sun in Leo).

Saturn is the taskmaster, the teacher and its energies challenge you to get your life in order, to seriously check things out and make any necessary adjustments. However, this is not something that goes by without some kind of valuable lesson and it is a must that you take an honest review or inventory on life.

You will have to take a disciplined approach to tackle anything that comes your way and in particular any obligations and duties that must be met. This could include your profession, your goals in life, your ambitions, any restrictions and anything that may take some time to orchestrate into a forward motion. Check the house transiting Saturn and the natal Sun are in for further clarification into what areas of life will be involved.

Pluto on the other hand deals with transformation and regeneration often implying some type of power struggle, perhaps with authority figures especially when these two planets combine later in 2020. Changes are undoubtedly in store and life’s direction may suddenly change due to adapting to new conditions. This will be brought on by transiting Uranus (this aspect to Uranus will only apply to those with their sun in the early degrees of Leo).

It is important to recognize that Pluto and Saturn, although working through different energies, will bring forth what needs to be put in place as time passes. Saturn tests our resilience and will eventually lay a more solid foundation which is able to stand the test of time. Pluto although quite disruptive also points us in the right direction and may force change or force us to adapt to life’s conditions as we move towards our life’s objectives.

Remember, nothing in life is by chance and these occurrences are put in place to foster growth and teach as we develop and grow.

Adjustments are necessary along the way, which at times, may be a little overwhelming, but if we learn to go with the flow rather than fight what is taking place, the adjustments will be welcomed and recognized for what they truly are.

INDIVIDUAL & HOME PARTY ORACLE CARD READINGS

Posted by [email protected] on July 28, 2018 at 10:45 AM Comments comments (0)

Holm Astrology offers https://www.holmastrology.com/intuitive-readings" target="_blank">Oracle Card readings to individuals and to groups (home parties).

What is an Oracle Card reading?

Simply put, Tarot cards, for example, are oracle cards but they speak a language specific to Tarot and that is the language the reader has studied. Holm Astrology uses Astrology symbol cards which speak the native language of an Astrologer. It is the reader’s job to translate the message of the oracle cards to the language understood by the client.

For an individual, the card reading would be one on one and can be conducted in person or over the phone at a cost of $65.00.

For a home party, if the host invites a minimum of four guests (five including the host) for parties held in and around the City of Barrie area the host’s reading is free. The minimum number of guests is negotiable outside the Barrie area. We will travel.

All participants of a home party receive a one-on-one, minimum 30 minute private reading at a discounted rate of $60.00 each. Again, as a thank you to our host, their reading is free!

These parties are quite popular and can be an evening out for your guests or an afternoon "tea".

Contact www.holmastrology.com/contact-us to book your party or to obtain more details.

SYNCHRONICITY

Posted by [email protected] on July 27, 2018 at 9:05 AM Comments comments (0)

Do you believe that significant events in life happen by chance?  Do you believe little events happen by change?

Are there deeper meanings to these events or are they just coincidence with little, if any, importance?

Carl Jung introduced the concept of “Synchronicity” and defined it as “temporally coincident occurrences of acausal (by meaning not by causality) events.” He also referred to them as "acausal connecting (togetherness) principle," "meaningful coincidence", and "acausal parallelism” according to Wikipedia.

Do not close the door to higher learning and the teachings or messages of the universe. Some individuals believe that synchronicities are one response in our process of evaluating importance. Some believe that synchronicities are extremely relevant and spend much of their time deciphering their meanings. Others do not believe at all in any type of purpose of the seemingly “coincidences” that happen in life.

A healthy approach would undoubtedly be somewhere in the middle. Our minds might take over if we spend too much time analyzing these events, or in contrast we could dismiss something of significance simply because we have decided that we do not believe in synchronicities and we ignore them (consciously or unconsciously) when these occur.

The more we pay attention and recognize the relevance of synchronicities in our lives, the more we seem to notice these events without effort. Staying in the moment and responding to life’s events through positive reaction helps us overcome obstacles. Accepting instead of reacting to life’s events stimulates growth and an overall feeling of peace and gratitude.

All we truly have is this moment and when synchronicities occur perhaps the universal energy is speaking to us.

Why when we leave the house and we feel as though we have forgotten something do we see someone walking down the street with an extra large cooler? We ignore our hunch and the visual message and we realize later we had forgotten our lunch.

There can be times when we do not know which way to turn and suddenly seemingly out of nowhere someone comes along and inadvertently offers advice that is exactly what we are looking for or we read a post that triggers a realization that was perfect for the moment.

Why are there times, that for no apparent reason, we decide not to do something we had been planning on doing because we slept in only to find out after the fact that there had been an accident?

How often do such events happen? If we had recorded each time something like this happened to us, how full would that record be?

Pay attention and recognize that on some level we are being guided and that events are synchronicities and do not happen by chance. At least this is my belief. Each of us has the freedom of choice.

FULL MOON LUNAR ECLIPSE JULY 27, 2018

Posted by [email protected] on July 26, 2018 at 10:15 AM Comments comments (0)

We will be experiencing the energies of a Full Blood Moon along with a Lunar eclipse on July 27 at 4:22 p.m. EDT. (Blood Moon is not a technical name).

As we have suggested in the past, a Full Moon is a time to harvest, a time when we gather together the fruits of our labors in the garden of life. If we are well prepared and have nurtured our goals, the harvest will be successful and abundant. If we neglected the seeds that we planned it may be time to re-address what still needs work, forget harvesting and either nurse the seeds back to life or start over again.

As of July 27, 2018, the Full Moon will be in the sign of Aquarius and is at 4 degrees. The Sun is tightly conjunct the North Node and the Moon is conjunct Mars. This can make for an interesting combination. The Sun is our driving force as are the energies of Mars, so this is actually a very good time to forge ahead. The North Node deals with our life’s path and important people who we come in contact with that may help propel us in our intended direction.

Leo’s energies push self-confidence, putting our best foot forward, hoping for some recognition for our efforts and striving towards our creative potential. With this combination, our emotional expression will be enhanced. There may be some type of objections to our plans or people who stand in our way but in some manner, by doing so they will propel us forward. Perhaps those that stand in our way assist in enhancing our determination and cause us to push forward that much harder. These individuals unknowingly can make it clear to us that we are in control of our own destiny.

The path ahead may be quite clear at this time and if you look to see which houses are affected by this Full Moon in your Astrology chart, these will be the areas of life being affected for you personally.

The Lunar eclipse will bring up some strong energies within these areas of life indicated in your Chart. (Most of us will be affected emotionally in some way or another). The energies and their influence will last in months as long as the eclipse lasts in hours.

On July 27 we will experience the longest lunar eclipse in the 21st century. It is estimated to last approximately 1.75 hours and will be seen in Asian, Africa and the Middle East. According to Earthsky.org, it will take almost 4 hours from first shadow until the Moon’s light reflection is fully returns. Even though the eclipse is not happening overhead elsewhere in the world, the influence of the energies will still be experienced.

To clarify, if the eclipse lasts 1 ¾ hours, its affects will last 1 ¾ months.

Pay particular attention to any planet especially by conjunction, square or opposition to this placement in your Natal Astrology chart. The energies resulting from these aspects and the houses affected will impact this experience.

Many people fear eclipses (whether Lunar or Solar) and although at times they can test our resilience, they should not be feared. Eclipses often bring needed change into our lives and propel us forward.

We will also have a square to the Sun and the Moon by transiting Uranus which will be at 2 degrees Taurus. Although Taurus is often about a slow and steady approach to life matters, Uranus is about drastic change and sudden but often important pushes in the right direction. We often get hints along the way of a new direction, a change of attitude or something new coming our way. We have opportunities to move in this direction now. These changes are usually needed as we have outgrown our development in the area of life concerned and need to reach out for something new. If we do not make these needed changes then often Uranus will force them upon us. If we wait for Uranus to force the change, the push can be in a much more harsh manner then if we just initiated the change on our own.

This should be an impactful experience for anyone with planets or angles connected to the 4 degree mark in their charts. For those with little influence from the natal chart, the whole experience may pass with little noticed events but pay attention to your emotions and emotional responses.

The more planetary energies involved and angles taking part, the stronger the potential for changes in your life. Do not become overly concerned as to whether this is a challenging experience or not. All change is beneficial and the less we fight, the easier the transition. Some of us will welcome change with open arms and this will be a great experience. If you are affected by these events then the changes put in place are the requirements of the soul’s development.

The Moon in the sign of Aquarius suggests that these changes that are at hand may concern groups of people that are of like mind. Aquarius wants to propel forward needed changes that not only affect themselves but also enhances others to push for needed change. Aquarius has humanities concerns in mind and the purpose is to help others help themselves out of stagnation or complacency. Generally, people can become stuck in habitual patterns and do not recognize that they are keeping their self from advancing.

The Moon in Aquarius may want us to make personal changes to our life’s direction, but will also push us to help others that may need outside assistance. Since this is a time when we can push forward and attempt to reach personal goals, we may want this for others as well.

Will you recognize the benefits of this influence immediately or will it take time for you to recognize that the energies of this Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse are just what the proverbial doctor ordered?
