Are you caught up in doom and gloom?    Do you want to stay where your mind is living (your focus)?   Many people have mentioned they feel lost and overwhelmed due to outside sources.  Many are overwhelmed by the current financial environment of uncertainty.   Everyone faces hurdles, some obvious, some not so obvious.  Life holds many experiences.   We have options available to us to relieve the challenges of everyday life.  All things in life are temporary. Absolutely nothing is permanent. Change is guaranteed.  We must learn to act when we can and accept when change is out of our hands.   The most important act we can take is to examine our focus or attitude towards any given event.  We have talked about this many times, but it is so important, we MUST repeat it!  If you are dealing with something causing anxiety and worry, you have to step back and look at it from a clear, unemotional perspective.  What can you change, especially, how can you change your attitude towards this life lesson?   It is not an easy task to shift our thoughts and expectations, but we are all capable of making the adjustments necessary to ease the tensions being felt.   Shift your focus to the great things in your life, whatever they may be (no matter how big or how small).  Release your focus on what is missing; focus on gratitude.  Don’t ignore the life lesson as the lesson is there to be learned.  If we ignore it, it will only heighten the circumstances as we cannot escape these lessons. We can’t hide our heads in the sand.  We must face the situation head on dealing with it in a constructive manner and not get caught up in believing that it will not go away or that we cannot fix the problem.   If we see the positive, we feel the positive.  If we focus on negativity, all we experience is negativity.  It takes work.  We are not suggesting that this will come easy, but refocusing is similar to a muscle.  Keep exercising it and watch is strengthen.  Be persistent.  Do not give up or give in.  Be determined! Dig in your heels!    It has taken years to develop your attitude, it will take effort to change it.  You can do this!   Find resolution by looking within first.  Is your attitude your greatest source of anxiety? Today, January 21, 2026, the Sun moves from Capricorn, a cardinal, earth sign, into Aquarius, a fixed, air sign.    Transiting Pluto has been in the sign of Aquarius since early 2024 and drifted back into Capricorn until November 20, 2024, when it finally took up full time residence in Aquarius and will remain for many years to come.   Pluto will have a profound effect on those with their Sun in the early degrees of Aquarius for all of 2026 and all of 2027 and remains in Aquarius as mentioned for many years.  Pluto is the agent of transformation. The ruling planet of Aquarius is Uranus, which is also quite the agent for change, so our Sun in Aquarius followers will be in for dynamic changes in their own personal journey.    Sun in Aquarius Sun in Aquarius can expect changes in how they define their journey, who they are, and their action plans and they may do so in vibrant ways; in some cases unexpectedly, or suddenly and quite uncommon for their character. Our achievements or lack thereof are based on our personal definition of achievement. To one person, the very act of taking the first step towards a goal is achievement and to another person, achievement is crossing the finish line of their goals.   We must prioritize our goals.  You must first ask yourself how important each goal is to you.  How much effort are you willing to put into each goal?   Review Last Year's Achievements When we reflect on our achievements, bear in mind their priority to you. A half-hearted effort will achieve a less than perfect outcome.  If you gave it a half-hearted effort, it cannot have been that high on your priority list.   If you achieved what you set out to do, congratulations on your effort. It is important to give yourself recognition for your effort.  If you fell short of what you wanted to accomplish, examine why. If it is important, set a new plan for yourself to achieve this goal.  If it is not very important, maybe it’s time to let it go and move on.    Internal dialogue is extremely important. Do not allow yourself to wallow in self-pity if you fall short.  Your approach to life should always be positive but also realistic.  If you fell short, ask yourself what you learned.  If you accomplished what you set out to do, reflect on your plans and efforts used and be proud as you would have had to work hard to make this happen.   In most cases, it’s best to work on yourself first (on your attitude and your own personal belief structures).  You can’t accomplish if you believe from the beginning that you will fail.    Set some goals for yourself for this year.  Make them realistic.  Reach for something that you know is attainable, something that is worthwhile. Believe that you can do this.  Focus on one step at a time. On January 18, 2026, we will have a very active New Moon at 28° 43’ in the sign of Capricorn. It is considered a very active because it is surrounded by Conjunctions.    It has the transits of Mercury and Mars at 26° Capricorn and Venus and Pluto at 1° and 3° Aquarius, respectively making aspects to the New Moon.  These planets are within the suggested range of 3° and Pluto is at about 4°.  At the same time, we have transiting Uranus making a Trine at 27° Taurus and the transits of Saturn/Neptune at 28°.  These latter two are making a Sextile to the position of the New Moon.  These are powerful indicators of a heightened energy which can last for up to one year.   New Moon in Capricorn 2026 Although the effects of the current New Moon will not be fully harvestable until the Full Moon occurs in Capricorn some six months from now, this is the best time to set your intensions and begin new projects.  The results will bring fruition again in about six months, but much will depend on how much effort you exerted working towards achieving these goals. This is especially highlighted with the influence of the sign of Capricorn.   Your intensions should relate to the energies of Capricorn as this is the sign of the New Moon.  As a result, you can set intensions influencing career objectives. This could include beginning your own business, or pushing towards a promotion and gaining recognition for your work ethics and diligent efforts.  It would be beneficial to get closer to those in positions of power, particularly authority figures and your superiors from whom you have either earned respect or who have earned your respect.  You can learn a great deal from these individuals, but you will have to be persistent, diligent and patient as things will likely take their time moving forward.   Mars and Mercury, being Conjunct to the New Moon’s position, suggest that you will have a good idea on how to maneuver your way forward.  Mars will push you, and you must make sure that you do not rush things, even though you may want to.  The Trine from Transiting Uranus can bring you the unexpected, and it may work in an unforeseen manner, often taking hold when you least expect it.  Saturn and Neptune, being Conjunct one another, will insist that you take a realistic view of your goals, but at the same time, your imagination may provide insight into the best way to promote your ideas.   Uranus, Saturn and Neptune are all positive elements and the energies they provide offer greater opportunity for success as time passes.    The House position of the New Moon will play an important role in the energies.  The house signals the area of life best suited to promote your objectives.  The houses connected to Transiting Uranus and Saturn/Neptune will play a powerful role as well.   The strongest period for those that have planets or angles within 3° of this New Moon position (Capricorn 25° to Aquarius 1°) will be three days prior to the direct contact of the New Moon, which will be January 15 and up to and including three days after (January 21) although the influence is felt for about two weeks and longer for those that are sensitive to outside energies. Look for results in approximately 6 months, and don’t forget that the energy you put into your intensions will be reflected in the harvest you reap.    You can make a list of what you wish to accomplish as intensions often work better when we also have them in the written form. It makes them more real.   With the New Moon in Capricorn 2026 be diligent in your efforts and learn the art of patience. We are taught throughout our life, but especially at an early age, how to behave.  We learn primarily from our parents or primary care givers and gain more insight as we begin to mature into ourselves, which takes a lifetime.  We learn how to adapt to life’s situations often taught through experience.  We learn how to manage or overcome adversity.  We learn about love and affection, hopefully beginning at an early age with our parents and once we have learned to love ourselves, we learn how to share our love with those around us. Social conditioning We become conditioned to react or respond depending on our upbringing and self-study.   We can be dictated to by our peers and others.  We may sometimes wonder if we are just puppets interacting the way we should without our consent.  Are we supposed to behave this way or that way, or is this just what we have become accustomed to doing?    We may follow advice but, in many cases, the best advice comes from within, that little voice within which we all hear but not often listen to.   We are not suggesting that we fight the advice we are given, but as adults, we should now be in a state of knowing of what is right and wrong. We can make up our own minds without the chatter from others.  Authority figures are not always right, but they are worth listening to if they are teaching from experience.  Many have had years of experience and can guide us in the appropriate direction.  Ultimately, however, the final decision is ours personally.   Do we follow along blindly or make our own decisions? If we fall, we can always get back on our feet and learn from the experience.  These are the greatest life lessons.   In reality, we walk our own road, follow our own personal path, make our own decisions regardless of what other people have pushed on us. It is always up to us to make that final decision if we have the maturity to stop and question.   Life is the learning tool that we all share. As transiting Saturn moves through the Zodiac, it challenges us, it teaches us valuable life lessons and then tests us.  Things may not move along as you might want them to, taking longer to reach goals or to get action.   Transiting Saturn Sextile Natal Midheaven With transiting Saturn sextile natal MC (Midheaven or Medium Coeli), the energies and lessons are often directly related to your career, your life’s status, your goals and aspirations.   Although the Sextile (a 60° aspect) is considered a favorable aspect, it still requires work because of Saturn’s connection, and it requires dedication and continued effort from you.  You must be reliable, steady, structured in your approach, although the working environment or your career might be subject to some challenging conditions.  This may affect your status in life as some individuals will find this energy difficult; and because of this, it can put strain on any partnerships that have been formed, especially with the spouse.   There may be setbacks with goals until Saturn is outside its influence on your MC, (which is approximately 4° separating).  Saturn is often at its peak when it has passed the natal position which in this case will be your MC by 2°.  No other planet has this delayed effect, and other planets will be at their peak when direct.   With Saturn sextile natal Midheaven, there is a potential opportunity although it will take more work than might be expected. Leadership What makes for good leadership?    Are personality, looks, education, experience, and/or respect important qualities for a leader?   The qualities of a leader are varying in importance by each person you ask. Two repeated qualities are “reliability”, and “honesty”.    We need to count on our leaders, in whatever role they play, to provide us with truth and to stand by their commitments under all conditions.    We do not necessarily have to like a leader’s personality although it certainly helps.    In my opinion, any leader should have compassion, be understanding, have patience and listen to advice.  An open mind allows for growth.   Are Looks and styles important?  They shouldn’t be.   Does a leader need to be respected and admired?  Admiration is not required but respect is crucial.   Are there many leaders that fit this criteria?    There are varying levels of leadership. It is hard to generalize an answer. There are those that rise to the top and receive respect which they have earned through their actions.  Those respected leaders have the good of those they lead in mind whatever the leading role may be. Are you a leader of a family team, work team, social group, provincial/state, or more? How are your leadership abilities?   A good leader listens before making decisions to ensure the best outcome for all involved. The position of the North Node, by sign and house, is extremely important. The sign and house position will change the energies specifics of what transiting Neptune square natal North Node will indicate for you.  We will only touch on the energies of the Square from Neptune to the North Node without sign and house involvement.  There are numerous variations when taking the house and sign energies into account. Shifting with the Wind of Change The winds of change affect us all.  There are times when we can manipulate the way life is wanting to move us and then there are times when we just have to go with the flow.  One thing is for certain, when the winds of change come, it is time for a shift.    Change can come suddenly or provide us with warnings.  Often, if we are provided with intuitive warning, we can prepare for these changes.  Our current way of life and the familiar routine may no longer suit our soul’s requirements. We may fight the process but over time we recognize that the changes are in fact required.   These changes can be internal, external, involve others, or be very personal.  Change can have several different faces, but when it’s time, it’s time!    Do not hold on to the old, outdated ways.  You cannot move forward to the next rung of life if you refuse to let go of the current one you are holding. If you know what must be done, go ahead and do it.  With or without your consent, life will move you in the direction required.  “Allowing” makes that transition much easier and likely much faster.   If life is hard right now, know that this too will change. When deciphering the information in this article, the placement of the North Node and South Node in your astrology chart will be extremely important.  The North Node has to do with what we have come into this incarnation to learn from, achieve, and build on, and the South Node speaks of what we should let go of and what is comfortable for us (this is determined by the sign and house position).    Transiting Saturn Sextile Natal North Node When Transiting Saturn makes a Sextile to your Natal North Node, it also makes a Trine to your Natal South Node.  This can be a time of great opportunities when it comes to your path forward.  You may find that your eyes are finally open to what the next step might be as you move forward through life lessons seen as adverse or a slow progress forward (again related to the energies associated with the North Node’s positioning).    An example might be for someone who has a North Node in Aries (and therefore a South Node of Libra). This would encompass the need to step forward with your own ambitions.  It must be personal although others might be affected as well. The time has come to recognize your personal ambitions and to press forward to fulfill them. With the North Node in Aries in our example, you cannot rely on others to do the work for you (which would likely have been the case in a previous lifetime, or you might have been so tied up in helping others prior to this lifetime that it seems almost out of character to move towards something that suits your personal needs).   With the South Node in Libra, continuing with this configuration example (NN in Aries, SN in Libra), in the past, you were always in the shadows of what was taking place.  Now, your objectives must be met and with the example South Node, you may be able to use your compassionate and diplomatic nature to assist in maintaining this process that is required.  You have ideas on how to maneuver your way forward but a part of you wants to do this for others, when in fact you need to do this for yourself first. Others will likely benefit over time, but you must advance for your own benefit first and foremost.   Saturn may make this progress a little more difficult because it insists that we work diligently for our rewards.  You will have to put in the work required to achieve your objectives and do not let any negativity delay the process.    Saturn sextile Natal North Node is energy designated for you! On January 3, 2026, at 5:04 a.m. EST, we will be experiencing a Full Moon in the sign of Cancer at 13°.  This will be a supermoon and is known as the “Wolf Moon”.   This Cancer Full Moon (as with all full moons) forms an Opposition to the Sun, and in this case, it also forms an Opposition aspect to Venus at 12° and Mars at 14° in Capricorn.    For this Full Moon to have an effect on you (a Full Moon is a culmination of what began when the New Moon was in the same sign {Cancer} some six months ago), you will have to have other planets or angles (ASC, DC, MC, or IC) making a Conjunction or Opposition to the full moon’s placement within a three-degree orb.   CANCER FULL MOON 2026  As mentioned, the Full Moon is a culmination cycle indicating the end of cycle which began when the New Moon was in Cancer (in this case).  When in the sign of Cancer, the family might be involved, the whole idea of nurturing is heightened and this could be towards self or another in need. Mothering and supporting are important. You want to get to the bottom of what is taking place regardless of whether it is considered good or bad.  You want to find the truth of the matter.    The work you have put in since the Cancer New Moon is reflective of the results you will reap.  Now is the time to harvest your efforts. Because this is a Cancer Full Moon, your intuitive side may be enhanced, and you just seem to know or even better “feel” what the situation calls for.  The house position in your astrological chart defines the area of life involved, but family and the home likely are a part of this scenario.   Because Venus, the planet of love and affection, and Mars, the planet of drive and ambition, are involved through transit, this could be speaking of an important relationship.  Don’t forget the Sun, which is always in Opposition to the Moon during the Full Moon cycle, is now Conjunct the placement of Venus and Mars.  This makes it quite personal and may also affect your path in life.  You feel that you know how to move forward, although if there are challenges within the framework of the natal chart at the same time, there can be hurdles.  You seek out control of the situation by making decisions for those involved with a sense of confidence because of the concern and genuine care and love you have for these involved.   There will be a drive to meet the needs of those involved and although family is likely involved, you will also have to take into consideration your own personal needs.  You matter as well, and you can’t do things just for others. You must think about your needs.    This is a powerful time where other people are involved due to the Sun/Moon Opposition.  They may influence your decision making by trying to force their opinions on you.  You must make the final decisions unless you agree wholeheartedly with what they are saying.   Cancer Full Moon 2026 is an emotional time, likely involving family and loved ones. You feel driven to nurture and help.
