We continue with our look at the New Moon in the sign of Pisces at 9°.  See www.holmastrology.com/post/pisces-new-moon-2025 .   Astrological houses and their effect on the Pisces New Moon Today, we will focus on some of the houses where this New Moon may be located in our Natal chart and how the house energy will influence the New Moon’s energies.  Check your chart to confirm where the Pisces New Moon is located.   If the New Moon in found in the first house, this suggests something of a personal nature which affects us emotionally, especially if this placement also incorporates the Natal Moon which will enhance the already intense nature of this positioning. It may affect your health and likely in a more positive manner.  Because Mars is part of the equation (again please read our previous post for details), you may feel more energized and may start something such as an exercise program that will help vitalize you.  This may be quite vigorous or intense and could involve martial arts, weightlifting, etc.   In the third house, this may indicate that perhaps you begin a writing or reading project.  Perhaps you decide that it is finally time to put your thoughts into words and start to write a book.  This will likely take some time to put together and change the course of your everyday activities.  Perhaps siblings and/or schooling are involved on some level.  One thing is for certain, it will involve communication and learning one way or another.  If Mercury is part of the interlinking energies, this will be enhanced, but if Saturn is part of the process, things may be delayed or obstructed in some way and often hard work is implied.   If the fifth house is involved, this may have something to do with your children, or you may be starting a new romance.  Having more fun and the enjoyment of life will be enhanced if Venus is involved as well as love and affection and perhaps attending to more socializing events.  This can be the time for your heart to grow through love and romance, but this placement does not guarantee that the relationship, if this is what is taking hold, will become one that moves into a marriage type experience. It may be just for the moment, but you should enjoy one another and know it is in the moment that counts.   We will look at one last possible placement.  Let’s say that this New Moon is in the tenth house, the house of career, goals and life status. If so, then these areas may be affected.  The tenth house may indicate that with a strong push to achieve you can make yourself known to your superiors for your hard work and a genuine concern for those around you, especially if the sixth house ruler or planets within this house are affecting your New Moon’s positioning.  Your goals and aspirations may also be highlighted and perhaps because of an engagement or marriage, especially if the ruler of the seventh house or planets within the seventh house also play a part in what is taking place, your status is changing.  Others may notice and you may gain recognition in some manner if positive energies are in place.  This is a good time to reach your objectives and push for good results.   (Let’s not forget to incorporate the energies of Mars being Trine and Jupiter being Square into all the above indicators as they can have a profound effect as well.)    I hope this review has shown the importance of the astrological houses and their effect on the Pisces New Moon and on any other event taking place in the astrology chart for that matter. Even with a new start we carry forward many different facets of our previous life.  You may decide that you want to leave everything behind, but memories, for instance, stay with us. In some cases, memories can bring a sense of comfort and relief, and in other cases, memories can be a source of pain and anxiety.    What do you want to hang on to and what do you want to leave behind?   What does your new start entail and what will it bring?    Some of us fear change while others relish change.  Fear is a result of the unknown and expectations and in most cases, what we worry about never surfaces.    A New Start Perhaps, it’s best not to be overly concerned about what lies ahead (our destination) and focus on the journey itself.  Anticipation, fear and anxiety are not the ideal travel partners.   When we start a new journey, that new journey is required or we wouldn’t have taken the first step to begin it. Once you have done your due diligence, follow through with commitment and refuse to compromise.  As the saying goes, “Stick to One’s Guns”!    We often make resolutions at the beginning of a New Year but few of us actually carry through.  We make a decision, but something comes along, and it just seems too difficult to continue, or we get sidetracked.   Refuse to Compromise There are many excuses from “It’s too hard”, “I will surly fail”, “It’s not how I hoped it would be”, “it doesn’t really matter”, “I don’t have a problem”, and the list goes on and on.  More often than not, there are roadblocks to success, but most of these roadblocks stem from our mind. Our mind manufactures the excuse, and we follow blindly.   The resolution (or call it whatever you like) must be attainable, and you have to weigh this out in the planning process. You push yourself in the beginning but when the going gets tough, you give up. Is this laziness?   In reality, you hold yourself back by accepting the mind’s excuses (better known as empty chatter). Make a real commitment to your goals and take one step at a time.  It is not a race, it is a journey.   If your mind gives you an excuse to quit, ask it why? If it gives one of its ridiculous excuses, counter that excuse with a positive reason to continue. You are NOT your mind!   The old say goes, “nothing worth having comes easy”.  For every thought that stands in the way, there is a positive thought that helps you to achieve what you set out to do.    Do not give up. Believe in yourself! Remind yourself to do your best. If you stumble, get right back up and step forward again. Why would you want to stay down?   After the first success, reaching the next goal will come a little easier because you will now have more confidence.  Refuse to compromise.  Stick to your guns. We posted our article on Sun in Pisces on February 12, 2025.  Here is a link for your convenience.  www.holmastrology.com/post/sun-in-pisces-2025   Aspects for Sun in Pisces 2025 Today, we are reviewing the more significant aspects that will be affecting Sun in Pisces over the next solar return.   Saturn will be transiting through Pisces making a Conjunction for those with their Sun in the mid to late degrees of Pisces.  Saturn moves into Aries at the end of May, 2025 returning for its final pass-through Pisces in early September and finally stay in Aries from mid-February of 2026 forward.  Neptune will also be moving into Aries towards the end of March, although it does return to Pisces for a short stay from October 22, 2025, to January 26, 2026.  Saturn and Neptune will make a tight conjunction in Aries from February 15 to February 21, 2026.   The Conjunction of the Sun with Saturn suggests that although you may have certain goals in mind, the way forward will likely be linked with some sort of adversity or lesson.  Perhaps the goals seem to have obstacles in the way and reaching them requires much work and discipline.  It might be like having to jump through hoops and nothing seems to go as smooth as you wish.  These goals will require a lot of attentiveness and if you are thorough and don’t try to fast-track or jump required steps, the potential to reaching your goals is heightened although the outcome may not be exactly the way you had planned but good none-the-less.  You may feel that the work required is too strenuous or too challenging.  If you follow through, however, the results are reliable and often working towards your objectives can bring solid results that may have a lasting influence or result.   Neptune in Pisces will conjunct the Sun in the end degrees of Pisces as well.  This suggests, without using the influence of Saturn, that your goals and the road ahead may be tied closely with the energies of Pisces.  Make sure that you are seeing things clearly and be objective, especially when Saturn is also involved in the process.  Spirituality can be heightened and once you see things clearly, Saturn will help to determine what is useful and reliable and also what is real and what is imagined.  This is a revolving door that can lead into clear perception and spiritual enlightenment depending on what the rest of the chart is implying at the same time.   When these two planets (Saturn and Neptune) move into Aries, they will make a semi-sextile to those with their Sun in the early degrees of Pisces.  This aspect is considered a minor aspect and is only given an orb of influence of one to two degrees.  The energies of a semi-sextile have been known to be a little irritating or slightly positive.  It can bring confusion as there is difficulty involved due to both planets (the Sun and transiting Saturn as well as Transiting Neptune) are in completely different elements and modalities.  They often do not work well together although it has also been linked to being in the right place at the right time regardless of whether this is considered favorable or not so favorable.  In most cases, the Semi-Sextile is of little importance as it is not considered an energetic or important aspect. Again, sometimes, however, what seems like nothing of importance becomes much more significant later.   The Conjunction of Saturn and Neptune in Aries will likely have quite an impact.  Neptune’s link with the otherworldly, sight unseen, mystical side of life will be working with Saturn, the planet of reality, sight seen, worldly and very concrete.  Together they will open the door to seeing things as they are through our spiritual connectedness, and being in Aries, you may be pushed to act in a more aggressive manner in using what you have learned while both Saturn and Neptune were in Pisces. We have had clients relay to us that they consider themselves out of alignment.  Some suggest that they are way off while others feel that they are getting closer to their alignment.    How do we become aligned?    Alignment The alignment that we speak of is being aligned to our inner self, our higher self, and our inner guide.    When we are in alignment this essence is recognized as not only hope, but also as peace, contentment and love.  You have already found it because it has never been lost. As you align it surfaces. It is within you, always has been, always will be. It is a part of everyone.   We do grow as individuals as we mature into ourselves and in the process, we change and develop.  We walk down many different roads taking us towards our objectives, even when we are not sure what exactly these objectives may be.   Being aligned with our inner core allows us to listen, be open to and to following the advice we are presented with from within.  We always have options, and we are never forced to move in any particular direction even when it appears we are without choices.  We always make the final decision on any action we take.   The more open we allow ourselves to be, the easier it is to hear the voice of reason, the voice of calm and the voice of collaboration.  When we begin realizing that this inner guide is actually assisting, the clearer the messages become.  Our inner alignment or higher self is also tied to our collective source which resonates at an even higher level.  We are fragments of this higher vibrational energy, and this source energy is complete and is indivisible.   How do we understand from a human perspective where this energy comes from?   How do we understand the message that it is inferring?    It is my opinion that we are incapable of understanding with our earthly minds. This higher source energy enfolds all of us and is in constant communication with us.    When we are in alignment, this essence is recognized as not only hope, but also as peace, contentment and love.    How do we go about finding this?    You have already found it because it has never been lost. As you align, it surfaces. It is within you, always has been, always will be. What are your personal gifts or abilities?   Exchanging Gifts Do you have psychic or medium abilities, do you have musical or artistic abilities, do you have the ability to translate your deeper thoughts into writings, do you have the ability to repair, or do you have people skills?   These are some of the many gifts that we may have.  Gifts can be linked to almost anything from the mystical side of life to the practical side of life.    Ask yourself what you are doing with these gifts. Are you sharing your gifts with others and what is your impact by sharing these gifts?   Your purpose may be to teach your gift to others so that they may grow and evolve, which also helps you on your evolutionary path.  You may not realize the impact you can have on others and at the same time the impact others can have on you from the connection you create.    We should share our insight and talents with others and at the same time recognize that others have something of significance that will in turn inspire or motivate us. We can learn information that might otherwise not have been available to us if we are only open to others.   Energy exchange is important, maybe more important than you just using your expertise.  We share this earthly experience even though at times we feel solo on our journey. All that we do affects others.  What we know can help others.  What we do with our lives can benefit others, and in particular help us.    Be open to exchanging gifts, gifts of knowledge and know-how and, on the other hand, be open to receiving what others have to offer. We are part of a whole and being part of that whole when we help or teach others, we too benefit.   Be open to exchanging gifts without measure. Be open to receiving.  Without help from others and without opening up to our own gifts, we lose the benefit of these gifts.  Gifts are meant to be shared, not hoarded. Sun in Pisces 2025 The Sun moves from the fixed, air sign of Aquarius into the mutable, water sign of Pisces on February 18, 2025.  This is quite the contrast as anyone who shares this cusp of Aquarius and Pisces has two distinct energies working within.  (See www.holmastrology.com/astrology-101astrology  for more information on the distinct energies of these two signs.)   Pisces, under most conditions, (depending on other configurations within the natal chart) has a gentle, calm, passive demeanor and is very sensitive to other people as well as their own surroundings.  They need quiet places to retreat, gentle well-meaning associates and friends, and often enjoy the open waters or an ocean view.    Most Pisceans are kind, caring individuals with great empathy for others, mainly because they understand what it is to suffer from the deeper layers of consciousness.  They can get hurt easily and have a hard time hiding how they feel.  They must learn not to take on the energies of others, especially if these other individuals are going through heart-wrenching and emotional experiences.   Pisces individuals truly care, and you can find them in volunteer groups, where caring and compassion is required.  They can make great nurses, psychologists, and addiction counsellors. Insecure individuals are often drawn to Pisceans, but so are aggressive individuals who believe they can take control or take advantage of caring Pisceans.  They must be careful who they become close to in life.   Pisceans are very sensitive individuals, and because of this, many Sun in Pisces individuals are known to have intuitive abilities.  Some are psychic and most go deep into “feelings” rather than to analyze.  They are known for their caring natures, but because of their intense need for peace and tranquility, when they are confronted with adverse conditions, they tend to be drawn to drugs and alcohol because they do not want to face this adversity.  Some hide their proverbial heads in the sand or try to cloud life’s challenging situations.   The area of psychology and the unseen can draw them in.  Their philosophy might be “who can I help and what can I do to make others’ lives deeper but I don’t need rewards”.  Some are known for being martyrs as it is not important for them to receive recognition or compensation for their efforts. This post has nothing to do with me personally; it is about you starting with you.  Starts With Me You hold the key to your personal success story.  You are the one you can count on and the one to guide you through anything.  There is no one better equipped to handle any situation.  Even if you seek personal assistance, others plant a seed (one from a perspective you may not have considered), but it will be you that makes the decisions and takes the action to nurture that seed.  No one else controls your destiny even when it appears that way.   If someone has control over your decision making, it means that you have agreed to let that person take the reins.  Even if you are against what they are insisting upon, and you feel as though you have no say in the matter, it is you that has decided you have no say.    If someone else rules over you then perhaps you need to make a stand or step away.  If you are afraid of that individual, perhaps you should remove yourself from their presences. Obtain assistance, if need be, to feel safe.   Make no mistake, you are in control. If you don’t believe this, it might be time to have a second look at what your mind is telling you and what you have decided to adhere too.    If it is your mind controlling you (which it is), remind yourself that you are not a slave to your thoughts. You are the ones listening to the thoughts. Your thoughts are fickle.  They will adapt to whatever is appropriate for the moment.  Take quitting smoking for example.  Pay attention to the absurd excuses your mind will give you to make your think it is okay to just have one cigarette.   Be strong in whatever you want to commit to. Ignore that chatter and excuses your thoughts will throw at you. Full Moon in Leo 2025 On February 12, 2025, we will be experiencing a Full Moon, (which is the culmination point of events started when the Leo New Moon six months ago) in the sign of Leo at 24°.  Because this placement is in the second decant, there will not only be an influence of Leo’s energies but also some influence by Sagittarius’ energies as well.   Full Moons and New Moons have emotional in nature and play with our sensitivities.  They bring things to the surface.  Again, the Full Moon is the harvest time of whatever began during the New Moon stage, so we now reap the rewards of our efforts over the past six months.   Emotions now likely run high, and this will be the time to correlate any unresolved issues and look at what we have done to bring them to the surface and deal with them head on.  Because this Full Moon is in the sign of Leo, matters of the heart will be a part of the energies.  You may now find that awareness comes to the surface, and you feel that you are in the know. As a result, you want to express yourself clearly and concisely.  You are open to dialogue, and everything comes from the heart.  For some, this may be difficult as they normally keep things inside, but now is the time to let them out and be open and honest.   Because of the issues of the heart, and if you happen to be in a relationship, this will be the time to either step things forward or hold back and retreat.  There may be risks in matters related to love and affection, and you may feel that you know best.  Things may not go smoothly, and you can expect the unexpected.  This is largely due to the Square from Uranus. Since during a Full Moon the Sun and Moon are always in opposition to one another, Uranus’ square is also square to both the Sun and Moon creating a T-square.   A T-square suggests things are out of balance, and because Uranus is involved, something new needs to take hold.  A revelation due to Uranus’ energies may come as a complete surprise or somehow be unexpected, but over time, you will begin to realize that the energy in place will push you in the direction that is required.  Uranus says, “wake up, it’s time to take notice and do something about it”.  Uranus is known as the awakener and pushes us out of complacency and asks for change, but if we do not move in that particular direction, Uranus will force us into it.   Something is missing, and once you pay closer attention, you will see whatever is missing is what is creating this imbalance. This is why change is essential.  The actual change does not have to be complete and total, as, sometimes only a minor change of attitude or direction is all that is required. In other cases, however, there is a strong need to move in a different direction. (A complete look at the Astrology chart will explain the extend of the change).  This will likely not be an easy solution, but pay heed, as what needs to change will be changed one way or another, with or without your consent.   Again, much will depend on the overall condition of the birth chart currently, including the aspects from the transiting planets to other planets and important angles during this time frame.   The Full Moon in Leo 2025 will involve issues of the heart. Emotions will run deep and due to Uranus’ influence, there may be a need for change, which can be unexpected. Incorporeality Most of us carry within us a deeper belief that something lies beyond this realm of existence.    Those with some sort of spirituality connection believe in deeper realms, some with traditional religious tones, others with more pagan and/or spiritual beliefs. There are also those who are agnostic (neither believing nor disbelieving) and those who are atheist (disbelieving in God or Gods).   Some type of spiritual belief systems can help us through trying experiences.    Many of us believe that something lies beyond this life’s experience and after we pass from this world, we carry on or manifest into the next level of existence.  Some individuals have actually experience incorporeality experiences and are adamant that they have personal proof that there is much more than what meets the eye in our earthly existence.   Your beliefs may resonate with others, but this really is not important.  You live your own personal existence sharing some of your insights with others, but in many ways, your concepts are your own.  There is no need to convince others what we believe or understand to be true. We neither have to prove our understanding nor push it on to anyone else.   Be open to all that is. Aquarius New Moon The New Moon on January 29, 2025, which is 9° Aquarius, marks the beginning of a Lunar Cycle.  Each New Moon occurs 29 ½ days apart and marks a time of new beginnings, fresh starts, change, and planting new seeds in the garden of life.  Sometimes we may not be too sure about where we are heading and so we set goals and turn inward for some answers.  All New Moons and Full Moons evolve much around emotional interaction although the sign that they are in and the aspects they receive from other transiting planets at the current time also have an influence.   When the Moon is in Aquarius, the emotions may be more subdued than say if the New Moon were in Cancer or Pisces. As a result, this time may not be overly emotional in nature.  This does not mean that we are cold emotionally under this influence, only that we react more from an intellectual level than an emotional one.    There is concern for humanity’s journey and the ways of the world. On some level, we may interact, even if only from within, with the thought processing.  We may reflect more on our fellow human beings and truly want to help, and so we may try to assist those in need.   On a personal level, this is often a time of change and setting goals for the future. There is a great deal of contemplation taking hold in our lives under this influence.  The mood is generally hopeful especially since transiting Jupiter at 11° in the sign of Gemini is making a trine to this positioning of the New Moon.  This can lead to a furthering of our ideas and making plans that should tie into the Full Moon six months from now also in the sign of Aquarius.   We can clarify our goals during the energies of this New Moon (which is often during the first month of the new moon) and we may turn inwards for the answers or guidance that we seek.  This can be quite private as we pause and reflect on where we might like to utilize this energy.   The houses that are involved (New Moon’s position in the natal chart) and aspects with transiting Jupiter and any links we have within a three-degree orb of influence within our natal chart will help define the areas of life involved in the process.  An experienced astrologer can aid in uncovering what this might mean for you personally.   Much of the influence during this timeframe (the end of January 2025) has connections with Venus, Neptune and the North Node all of which are in the sign of Pisces rendering in emotion and sensitivity as well as, in some cases, psychic intervention. Saturn is also in Pisces (although not connected to the previous planets and North Node) and does initiate stability in the process.    We also have transiting Mercury and Pluto making a tight conjunction in the very early stages of Aquarius suggesting transformational interaction creating change connected to human consciousness and its evolution.  Pisces’ and Aquarius’ energies are linked to human consciousness. Hopefully we see a much-needed change for mankind as we move into the realm of Pluto in Aquarius, Neptune in Aries and down the road Uranus in Gemini.  These are all powerful energies linked towards change and evolution.   With this Aquarius New Moon 2025, there is concern for humanity’s journey. Life is Your Playground Life was full of amazing adventures when we were children. We never worried about tomorrow and lived completely in the moment.  Life was our playground, and every day was filled with excitement and wonder.  We lived on the edge of our seat and experienced each moment in full emotion, yet no emotion was long lived.   We were completely enveloped in each moment and some moments were joyful while others were engulfed with disappointment but always filled with anticipation.  We didn’t know what was next, but we built on each moment and explored each avenue.   Now as an adult, life still is our playground if we decide not to be at the mercy of our thoughts, and we allow ourselves to stay in the moment. Wonder and excitement can continue to be a part of our adult life. We can still have fun and explore life while living in the here and now. Embrace the wonder (just as you did as a child) without being overly concerned about where life might take us (because we will go there with or without worry).    Live your life just as a child would, enjoying and truly experiencing the moment AND just as you did as a child, let go and move forward especially when life throws its lessons at us, presenting us with things that we would prefer not to experience but valuable lessons, nonetheless.    Attitude is the remedy and focus creates. Life will still happen, so focus on the wonder and beauty as life is your playground.  Look at all that is in front of you with fresh eyes, with a new perspective, with wonderment.
