Life is ever changing and offers experiences as it develops. We, at times, move through a life adventure seeking something of value and other times, are so absorbed in our heads/thoughts, that the events pass us by with little to no awareness from us.   When we are in the moment, these events bring with them much excitement, pleasure and/or learning potential, but if and when we are experiencing life on the surface or without focus, we gain little insight.    The key to getting the most out of life seems to be to live in the moment and experience completely each and every event that life sends our way.  We tend to judge each event particularly by its monetary value. Judgment, however, is only a concept of what we believe has significance.    Each experience teaches us something.  Each experience tells us something of ourselves.  Some individuals live to experience life, while some just pass through life experiencing the mundane and having no interest in what life is teaching or offering them.    There are bits in life that are tragic, and these events can send us down roads that we wish we did not have to travel.  There are also events in life when everything seems to be miraculous, and life feels as though it teems with wonder and excitement. Oh, the influence of attitude!   We move through life, moment by moment, with great expectations at times and without any expectations at other times.  Perhaps it is best to have no expectations as sometimes we experience failure, sadness, despair due to our expectations.  We do, however, need to set goals for ourselves but with flexibility so that we can adapt with our ever-changing circumstances.    Every passage in life prepares us for what is to come next or for what potentially lies in the future.  A bad experience (which is an opinion) does not necessarily mean that life will now always be stressful. This experience was a lesson from which we can grow and improve.   What we focus on, we magnify. If you focus on stress, then you will magnify the stress in your life. If you focus on gratitude and appreciation, then you will magnify gratitude and appreciation.   We really do not know what life’s lessons will bring, but we do have options on the way we perceive what life is presenting.    Looking at life as a learning experience places “the lesson” in focus which fosters growth and development. Transiting Neptune stays in each sign approximately 14 years.   Neptune entered Pisces in the spring of 2011 and will be moving into the sign of Aries in the spring of 2025 but moving back into the final degrees of Pisces when turning retrograde and then returning to Aries and remaining there from the beginning of 2026.    As with all sign changes, as Neptune moves into Aries, there are some ramifications of the previous sign, Pisces, and some reflections of the upcoming sign, Aries.  This is like an orb of influence usually beginning to show its influence in and around 3° degrees prior to entering the next sign.   While in its own sign of Pisces, Neptune was working well connected to the energies of spirituality, enlightenment and awakening into the psychic realm.  Many individuals can relate to this over the past 14-year span. Many people became interested and entered this realm of influence. There is much uncertainty in life. We really don’t know where we are headed, yet we can always hold our heads high and make our way through the currents of change presented to us daily.   Life moves us along with or without our approval.  We juggle our objectives and set courses for the road ahead without really knowing where that road might take us.   Our objectives are likely feasible and attainable, yet it is okay to reach for higher goals as the higher we aim the higher we can reach.    You may question what is the purpose for striving to achieve or to pushi ahead in life. After all, life is uncertain.   It is human nature to need goals and objectives to strive for as it gives us tangible purpose.   We learn perseverance in dealing with the different climates life presents us with and need to be adaptable as we coming to terms with where life is taking us.  We find solace in those that provide support and tell us to hang on. Transiting Jupiter can have a profound effect while making a sextile to your natal Mars.  The timing usually lasts about 6 to 8 weeks depending on whether Jupiter moves into its retrograde cycle.    Currently (August 2024) Transiting Jupiter will move into retrograde on October 8, 2024, and it will be at 21° in the sign of Gemini.  Its stationary period is about one day.  This stationary period is very intense for those who have a planet at this degree, especially those that have major aspects within 1-3° direct from the natal chart to this position.    Jupiter’s influence, while in retrograde, will last many months and those affected will feel its intensity when it crosses the degrees of influence in their personal natal chart.   We are discussing the sextile in this post, but the trine is also similar to the effects of the sextile, and both are energies we hope and wait for.  The sextile implies opportunities that will be presented and that we need to act to take advantage of.  The sextile is a positive aspect and indicates openings and prospects for when things might flow in a more constructive manner.   Jupiter is the most opportunistic planet in Astrology. Jupiter provides growth, expansion, good luck, rewarding experiences and allows things to move forward.  When applied to challenging situations like someone experiencing a fatal disease or illness with no prospect of recovery, it can also indicate the ending of situations pushing things ahead so that no further suffering takes place.   With Transiting Jupiter Sextile Mars, we have a great push to advance in some manner, depending on the houses involved in our chart.  The houses are areas of life, and this will be where these energies are initiated.  Wherever Mars is located in the Natal Chart, this will be the area which offers opportunities for growth and expansion.    If, for example, Mars is tied to the MC (midheaven), this will suggest that opportunities in abundance may lie within the scope of your career or ties in with your objectives and path in life.  Your status may change and this flows in a smoother manner. With the sextile, however, you must take advantage of the energies at hand, or they may not manifest in the manner that they could if you were to push for results.   If Jupiter is travelling through your 11th house and it makes a Sextile to your Mars/MC’s position, you may receive help from groups or from friends to make things happen.  If Jupiter is travelling through the 12th house and still making this sextile to your Mars/MC, assistance may come from unknown sources, or you may receive help from the subconscious or other realms of influence.  This may be hidden from you or perhaps you do not know about this energy or where it has come from. Many of us never give up.  In the face of opposition, we can find ways to maneuver our way through, and with persistence, our efforts pay off.    We all have certainly lost some battles or at least that is the way it felt, but we gained experience from these encounters.  We also feel like we have won some of these predicaments. We have achieved heights we never thought were possible and gained inner strength and resilience.   For those overwhelmed by their current journey, we still say, “never give up”.  Persistence pays dividends. Although this post is about the transit of Jupiter to your natal Saturn, we would like to point out that transiting Jupiter is also currently square Transiting Saturn around August 19, 2024. This current transiting aspect will be similar in energy to the information in this post but will change dynamically when you take into consideration the houses involved in your chart.   While Jupiter tends to exaggerate and expand whatever it touches, Saturn tends to add responsibility and indicates hard work. When these two planets come together, growth and expansion along with added responsibility will take hold.  In many cases, this has to do with your occupation although, again, much will depend on the houses involved if this is in your chart.   If you are born with this square aspect in your natal chart, you can expect that when it becomes active through transits or progressions, your responsibilities and obligation are likely to increase.  You may find that there is more work for you to do and perhaps you will not get recognition for your efforts. Alternatively, perhaps you are getting noticed for your hard work but not seeing an income increase which is reflective of your hard work.  You may just be working harder or taking on more responsibilities. Although you may not reap the rewards for your hard work and disciplined effort at this time, you may find that as you continue working diligently towards your objectives, you will get notice by your superiors at some point in the future.  Saturn tends to delay things, but Jupiter often promises rewards eventually.   Squares are challenging aspects but because of their intrusive behavior, they force us into action.  On some level, we need to find a resolution to these difficulties, and we tend to work hard to resolve any problems that might be presented to us.    Jupiter pushes us toward expansion and brings good luck and growth with our objectives, while Saturn tends to delay or restrict things.  Part of us wants to move forward and work towards our objectives while another part of us says that things are okay the way they are, and all that hard work may not be worth the effort.  There is a real push and pull, both at the same time.    Saturn will cause us to worry and be anxious. Saturn can cause concern and doubt that what we are trying to do will never work in our favour.  There may be obstacles which stand in the way of progress, and there will not be any short cuts in reaching our final destination. This is actually a good thing because missing steps when Saturn is part of the process never work in our favour.    Jupiter brings good luck, fortunate conditions, good timing and opportunities that might not otherwise present themselves to us.  When Jupiter is involved, this is the time to make plans to advance our objectives as things will usually flow more steadily and the potential for success is increased.  However, with Saturn being part of the process, as mentioned, you can expect some worries and anxiety over your objectives and a concern for failure. We should not listen to these thoughts however as the potential for growth and good luck is in place under this aspect. Sometimes we need a little interlude from our active life.    We never seem to set aside time for ourselves.  There always seems to be no rest, no time to reset our emotional batteries, no time for relaxing meditation, no time for what is needed for our inner self.  It is imperative to make the time, particularly when it seems as though we don’t have any time to spare.    We can put down the phone, put the kids to bed a couple of minutes earlier, leave the dishes for later, leave the television turned off, etc. Make time just before bed for at least a five-minute meditation.  If we really want to find peace, we need to take that first step. No one else can do this for you. You must make you a priority.   There are tranquil moments within the busy schedule, but they can sometimes slip by unnoticed.  Again, hold off turning on the television or connecting to social media. When sitting waiting for a meal pickup, waiting to pick up the children or waiting for a doctor’s appointment, utilize the time to release and let go.  We do not need a long time but the longer the better. Five minutes in quiet meditation is helpful, half an hour is advantages, an hour is invaluable.   We must make time for ourselves. How can you create the time your mind, body and soul needs?   You are not too busy to make it happen. You must make yourself a priority, just as much of a priority as you do with every other task and responsibility you take on. Again, happy solar return to our Virgo readers. Here is our link for our 2024 information on Sun in Virgo. Much of what we are writing about will depend on which degree the Sun in Virgo is in the birth chart and which houses are involved.  It is important to have a look at the potential provided in the natal chart to understand the outcome of the transits that we will speak about.    Transiting Neptune and transiting Saturn are both in Pisces which makes them in opposition to those with their Virgo Sun within the same degrees currently occupied by these two powerful outer planets.    Oppositions are considered challenging and often involve other people.  In many cases, our plans are disrupted because of these individuals, and we must find a way to deal with or get past their influence.  In most cases when other people are making suggestions, we should listen to their advice. In some cases, their advice will be very helpful and in other cases, they may cause a hinderance.  We must learn to work with both depending on what is being proposed.   Neptune in the case of oppositions to the Sun (currently in August, 2024 Neptune is at 29° Pisces) suggests that you may not be able to see things clearly or do not have a clear understanding of what is taking place.  There may be some vagueness to your goals and aspirations because people seem to be feeding you wrong information or information that does not jive with your plans.  Depending on how long this has been in play in your chart and the houses involved, this may have been going on for a long time or you may have felt it coming for some time now.    Saturn on the other hand (Saturn is currently at 17° Pisces and in retrograde) will be in its retrograde cycle until mid-November, 2024. Saturn works more favorably when in retrograde than when it is direct.  There will still be delays and some obstacles in the way at this time but with hard work and a well-organized effort, you can accomplish much during this phase.  Your superiors may be of assistance, but things may not move ahead as quickly as you might wish they would.  Things seem to move too slowly but there likely is a logical reason for this if you were to take a closer look.    Your objectives, and on a more personal level, your inner self is going through a time when things will shift.  It will likely be some time before you get a real feel for which direction life is taking you.  You may be doing some inner reflection and will make significant changes at this time but be patient and listen to advice. When you make up your mind as to which direction to follow, the door will open. You are currently learning about yourself and will make changes as time passes.   The 2024 aspects for Sun in Virgo signify a vagueness with your goals with delays and obstacles all likely coming from others. Be patient. Change is coming, both inward and outward. When we become ill, it is important beyond all else to have a positive attitude.  We cannot fight back with a defeatist attitude.  We must keep ourselves focused on healing and believe that it is possible.  Care for the body. The mind too plays a large part in the healing process.    Of course, there are different degrees of health concerns and there are some which are much more difficult to cure.  Your mind frame, however, plays a significant role in the journey and the outcome of any illness or disease, no matter what the prognoses.    For those individuals battling the odds, your attitude especially plays a significant role in how everything unfolds.  It can be very easy to get caught up in how defeating a disease can be (and certainly the way you are physically and mentally feeling) and we then lose sight of the real meaning of life.    For those with minor illnesses, when you finally return to full health, pay heed to how well you now feel in comparison to only days preceding. Recognize what a true blessing being healthy is.    For those that have conquered a disease like Cancer, it’s a new lease on life. We should listen to the little voice within that challenges us to make changes to our habits (both physically and mentally), the way we live our lives and our belief structures.   In general, those that go through life with very little health concerns should consider themselves lucky as this is not the norm.  Regardless of what you experience in life, life is a blessing. Do not forget how fortunate you are.  Most importantly, recognize that your focus creates especially over time. Focus on how good things are and all the important lessons that we have been taught throughout our life’s experience.    When illness strikes, stay positive and focus on good health, both physically and mentally. Recognize that your focus creates. Have you been trying, for what seems an eternity, to reach certain goals?    Sometimes there seems to be obstacles no matter what way you turn. You are just about to give up and out of the a door opens that was locked previously.   Many of us have experienced this.   How long does it take for everything to align so our goals can materialize?    If our goals do materialize from all our hard work, will they be what we had hoped for?   Some goals in life do not materialize, while others do.  I have to point out that when some goals do not materialize, we should be celebrating as we cannot foresee some of the effects our goals could have brought about.  On the other side of the coin, reaching our goals can bring about much more than we ever dreamed.   In the long run, the results are not any more important than the effort we put into trying to reach them.  This might be hard to digest when we did not reach our ultimate goal, and all our hard work seems to have been for nothing.  Next time we might dig a little deeper and try harder; or alternative, we might know earlier when to back off and cut out losses.    We gain perspective and learn from our efforts.  We advance in one way or another through what we either accomplish or what we failed to accomplish.  The ladder of success is not always an easy one, but one worth climbing.  Sooner or later, you will reach that ultimate goal even though it may not look like your thought it would. Guaranteed, however, we will be stronger because of our efforts and perseverance.   In the end, it is not just about reaching our objective. It is about building resilience; it’s about perseverance; it’s about building character through our own efforts.    Internal struggles work the same way.  We build resilience when we deal with internal issues and gain strength as we make our way through them.  We learn from our mistakes and once again persevere.  We learn what it is to fail, to fall short, and we learn how to get back on our feet and begin once again.   Inner strength is built from life’s struggles.
