Leadership What makes for good leadership?    Are personality, looks, education, experience, and/or respect important qualities for a leader?   The qualities of a leader are varying in importance by each person you ask. Two repeated qualities are “reliability”, and “honesty”.    We need to count on our leaders, in whatever role they play, to provide us with truth and to stand by their commitments under all conditions.    We do not necessarily have to like a leader’s personality although it certainly helps.    In my opinion, any leader should have compassion, be understanding, have patience and listen to advice.  An open mind allows for growth.   Are Looks and styles important?  They shouldn’t be.   Does a leader need to be respected and admired?  Admiration is not required but respect is crucial.   Are there many leaders that fit this criteria?    There are varying levels of leadership. It is hard to generalize an answer. There are those that rise to the top and receive respect which they have earned through their actions.  Those respected leaders have the good of those they lead in mind whatever the leading role may be. Are you a leader of a family team, work team, social group, provincial/state, or more? How are your leadership abilities?   A good leader listens before making decisions to ensure the best outcome for all involved. The position of the North Node, by sign and house, is extremely important. The sign and house position will change the energies specifics of what transiting Neptune square natal North Node will indicate for you.  We will only touch on the energies of the Square from Neptune to the North Node without sign and house involvement.  There are numerous variations when taking the house and sign energies into account. Shifting with the Wind of Change The winds of change affect us all.  There are times when we can manipulate the way life is wanting to move us and then there are times when we just have to go with the flow.  One thing is for certain, when the winds of change come, it is time for a shift.    Change can come suddenly or provide us with warnings.  Often, if we are provided with intuitive warning, we can prepare for these changes.  Our current way of life and the familiar routine may no longer suit our soul’s requirements. We may fight the process but over time we recognize that the changes are in fact required.   These changes can be internal, external, involve others, or be very personal.  Change can have several different faces, but when it’s time, it’s time!    Do not hold on to the old, outdated ways.  You cannot move forward to the next rung of life if you refuse to let go of the current one you are holding. If you know what must be done, go ahead and do it.  With or without your consent, life will move you in the direction required.  “Allowing” makes that transition much easier and likely much faster.   If life is hard right now, know that this too will change. When deciphering the information in this article, the placement of the North Node and South Node in your astrology chart will be extremely important.  The North Node has to do with what we have come into this incarnation to learn from, achieve, and build on, and the South Node speaks of what we should let go of and what is comfortable for us (this is determined by the sign and house position).    Transiting Saturn Sextile Natal North Node When Transiting Saturn makes a Sextile to your Natal North Node, it also makes a Trine to your Natal South Node.  This can be a time of great opportunities when it comes to your path forward.  You may find that your eyes are finally open to what the next step might be as you move forward through life lessons seen as adverse or a slow progress forward (again related to the energies associated with the North Node’s positioning).    An example might be for someone who has a North Node in Aries (and therefore a South Node of Libra). On January 3, 2026, at 5:04 a.m. EST, we will be experiencing a Full Moon in the sign of Cancer at 13°.  This will be a supermoon and is known as the “Wolf Moon”.   This Cancer Full Moon (as with all full moons) forms an Opposition to the Sun, and in this case, it also forms an Opposition aspect to Venus at 12° and Mars at 14° in Capricorn.    For this Full Moon to have an effect on you (a Full Moon is a culmination of what began when the New Moon was in the same sign {Cancer} some six months ago), you will have to have other planets or angles (ASC, DC, MC, or IC) making a Conjunction or Opposition to the full moon’s placement within a three-degree orb.   CANCER FULL MOON 2026  As mentioned, the Full Moon is a culmination cycle indicating the end of cycle which began when the New Moon was in Cancer (in this case).  When in the sign of Cancer, the family might be involved, the whole idea of nurturing is heightened and this could be towards self or another in need. Mothering and supporting are important. The Transit of Pluto square to its Natal positioning usually occurs around the late 30’s but can extend as far as to the age of 60.  Much will depend on the Natal positioning of Pluto in the birth chart and the placement of Pluto during its transit.    As a side note, transiting Neptune makes a Square to Natal Neptune into the early 40’s and Transiting Uranus makes an Opposition to its Natal position around the age of 41-43.  Finally, Chiron makes its return to its birth position between the age 49 to 51. With the understanding that all of these placements are extremely significant, no wonder this time in life is referred to as the mid-life crisis.   Transiting Pluto Square Natal Pluto We have already discussed many of these placements in past articles, so we thought we would focus on the transit of Pluto squaring its Natal position.    Pluto’s action is usually quite intense, although it can make its way forward in a rather subtle manner in the early stages.  Over time, it certainly makes its presence known.  The energies are often attached to psychological matters and often forces us to look deep within at any of the so-called dark or hidden areas of our nature.  These areas are considered taboo, and we may not want to face them.  However, this is the time when we will confront our so-called demons, better still our inner fears.   This aspect is a time of deep self-analysis and transformation when we re-evaluate things, especially how we feel about our personal power (or lack thereof) and the control we think we have over life or the control that we think we lack in our life.  This is often a time of personal crisis, because we must be honest and face that which we may not want to!  How else will we conquer our fears and eliminate things that no longer serve us?    We must have a deep, honest, open look at what goes on within before we can make changes to those parts of us we allow to be on automatic pilot.  Letting go is of prime importance, as in many cases holding on is futile particularly to those things that stagnate us. Pluto sometimes demands action from us and if we do not act, it will force action onto us in a more dynamic or drastic manner.   It is easy to get caught up in what is taking hold during this astrological aspect, but these are the times when the valuable lessons are in place, and we can learn a great deal.  We come out stronger, more resilient, advanced in our understanding and ready to challenge life in a much more mature manner.  Do not fear transiting Pluto square natal Pluto.  Learn from this aspect. Aspects to Sun in Capricorn 2025 We posted an article on December 17 for Sun in Capricorn.  Today, we will review some of the transiting outer planets making aspects to the position of the Capricorn Natal Sun.   Saturn and Neptune will be making a Square to those with their Capricorn Sun sign in the early degrees. Neptune moves beyond Pisces and stays in Aries beginning in late January (January 26, 2026) and Saturn moves into Aries on February 14, 2026.  Both planets enter Aries on a permanent basis in 2026 but have an influence on the Capricorn Sun prior to these dates as they maneuver their way forward.   Saturn, the planet of structure, and Neptune, the planet of obscurity and the intangible, can create havoc when they square your Sun.  There likely will be power struggles when it comes to your plans, the personal changes you might want to make and your path ahead.  Saturn likes the familiar and what feels comfortable. Saturn’s energies are unwilling to change even when change is necessary.    Neptune may not see things clearly, can be vague and may be unsure of which path to take.  Neptune, however, also leans towards the mystical and finding our way through avenues that are not considered concrete which, of course, is what Saturn wants.   You will have to weigh out the pros and cons. It will be necessary to organize ideas into viable structures and to find a happy medium. Although Square aspects are known to be quite difficult, they also push us to find resolution and can bring great rewards for hard work.  The square aspect forces us into action because the tension is too challenging to ignore so you must work your way forward to find resolution. This, as a result, makes square aspects valuable as we must act.   The astrological houses in your chart where these planets are located will indicate what areas of life are influenced.  For example, the fourth and seventh house might have something to do with family and the home, and challenges coming from the marriage partner concerning what action you feel you need to take.  If it is the tenth and first houses involved for example, changes or challenges might be in place at work which will affect you on a personal basis. You will need to adjust and find ways to alleviate the worries that you experience during this aspect’s influence.   The are many possibilities depending on the houses involved. You will also have to look at any other transits or progressions making contact at the same time in your astrology chart.  Look at the natal potential of your Sun, Neptune and Saturn as this will help you find a resolution to what is unfolding.    The aspects to Sun in Capricorn 2025 by Saturn and Neptune have opposite wants. Purposeful entanglements Each and every person we meeting over our life’s journey has purpose for us.  Some are long-lasting while some are quite fleeting.  Some bring important messages and teach us lessons along the way.  Some are here to show us something within ourselves, some are wonderful attributes and others that need to surface so we can make changes. Some can even appear to teach us about the enjoyment of life.   Not all lessons being taught by others are easy ones.  Some can be very disruptive or challenging, while others, bring out the very best in us. We learn to endure hardships with these people, sometimes through direct influence and other times through life’s ever-changing directions.  The true meaning of deeper love and affection can come through sharing life’s ups and downs. If we can ride the storm together, we often come out stronger and more resilient and with a deeper connection.   Some relationships can be quite difficult, both emotionally, psychologically and physically. There is value in trying to work through the difficulties as long as both parties are willing to work together.     A love relationship, for example, can drift as we can become complacent. Every relationship no matter how deep the connection requires work and that work must take place daily.   In many cases, the change that begins the process of healing must begin with you.  Both parties are part of the picture, but it takes one to start the process. Once taken, it will take both people to address a solution.    Take responsibility but don’t take it all.  It takes two to create any situation.  It does not have to be you that begins the process of healing, but it might as well be you. Winter Solstice The Winter Solstice (Hibernal Solstice) takes place on Sunday, December 21, 2025, 10:02 a.m. EST in the northern hemisphere. December 21 will have the least amount of daylight as the sun will be at its lowest arc in the sky for the northern hemisphere. Shortly after December 21, our precious sunlight will begin to increase again (only by seconds in the beginning.  The additional light will be more noticeable in the evenings.) As much of nature sleeps and the light is limited, we can use the long nights to reflect on our life’s journey. Go inward and plan your intentions for when the energy and the light return. Follow Mother Nature example as she knows best. Many animals are now hibernating or slowing down, resting and waiting for the return of light, for the return of warmth, the return of the energy that nurtures us mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. Our obvious current lesson is patience. Utilize this time wisely.  You can use it to look deep into your shadow self. Bring light to the darkest corners of your being but do not judge what you find. Fill each corner with love and allow spirit to grow. Is it coincidence that during Yule season (the rebirth of light), Christians celebrate the birth of Christ for example (the rebirth of salvation)? This is a time of celebration for many, whether it is Yule, Christmas, Hanukah, Kwanzaa, Bodhi Day, Saturnalia, and the list goes on. We have much to celebrate. Be filled with promise, with faith in all that is. Be filled with gratitude, with love and with inner healing light! On December 20, 2025, we will be experiencing a New Moon at 28° in the sign of Sagittarius.  Anyone have planets or angles with a three-degree orb of this placement especially by Conjunction or Opposition will be influenced by this placement.    Sagittarius New Moon 2025 New Moon’s energies signify the beginning of a cycle.  This is a fresh start or a time to plant seeds that will eventually grow, if nurtured, into something worthwhile in the garden of life.  It is a good time to go within and examine what truly matters to you now.  Set your intentions on what is important to you.    The Sun and the Moon are currently aspected by a Conjunction. The Sun represents our egoic self and the Moon dealing with our sensitivities and emotions. These are now connected and heighten in intensity.
