On September 22, 2025, the Sun moves from Virgo, a Mutable, Earth sign into Libra, a Cardinal, Air sign.  (As a side note, there are three modalities in Astrology: Cardinal, Mutable and Fixed. It seems long term relationships are far and few between.    Long Term Relationships During the course of a committed relationship, marriage or otherwise, there will be challenges.  The newness of a relationship only lasts so long and then wears off. The excitement begins to settle, and then the true “getting to know each other” actually begins. We become more comfortable in the relationship and our deeper personality traits now surface. This can be unsettling in some cases, and we can let little insignificant or large surprising traits irritate us.   We learn to adapt and accept our differences, or we can challenge and stress over these differences to the point that they may be deal breakers.   Some individuals will learn to adapt and are willing to make changes to themselves, while others may refuse to make any changes as they feel they should not have to change for someone else.    In relationships, we cannot expect someone to change to suit us. We can only make changes ourselves, either in character, circumstance or attitude.   This can be where some relationships crumble while others gain momentum. At this point, due to acceptance some relationships actually become stronger as love, hard work and acceptance are the backbone of a relationship. There will always be times when the relationship experiences difficulties. The outside world influences everything it touches but if we recognize that the source of irritation is from outside the relationship, the bond can deepen.   For those individuals currently going through one of these phases, recognize that in most cases, a slight change of attitude can make a world of difference.  Acceptance, compassion and support for one another is essential. Most irritants are temporary. Remind yourself to review the circumstances and look at the influence of the events around you.  Illness, family, world situations, finances, worry, fear, anxiety and attitude must be taken into consideration.  These can have profound consequences on relationships.    After reviewing outside circumstances, you likely will come to realize that your relationship is good but other parts of life may need some adjustments.   For those that are experiencing difficulties in their relationship and have been for some time, be sure to have clear communication. Seek counselling as a professional can offer advice that you may not have thought about.    Long term relationships take hard work, perseverance, love and compassion. Neptune Conjunct Natal South Node If you have transiting Neptune in Opposition to your Natal North Node, it will also be Conjunct your Natal South Node’s position.  The Conjunction is more powerful than the Opposition, therefore, we will focus on Neptune and the South Node.    It should be noted, however, that the Oppositions, however, always have something to do with other people, and in this case, it’s quite possible that they are interfering with your path forward.   The South Node has energies similar to Saturn and having the South Node Conjunct Neptune suggests that there is a degree of uncertainty and things are unclear about the path forward.  The house placements will define the area of life involved.    Neptune tends to cloud things when in challenging aspect.  Perhaps, you feel as though you are to blame for a recent issue in life, or alternatively, you may feel that someone else is the problem and they are making things difficult.  In most cases, it would be wise to reconsider and to take some responsibility although at the same time not to take total responsibility because likely the other individual is quite involved in what is going on too.   Currently (September 2025), Neptune and Saturn are in proximity to each other.  This in itself suggests a problem with distinguishing between what is real and what is not real.  You may have your eyes closed because what is taking hold is quite challenging and you may not want to see things as they are.  Perhaps you may feel that things will likely clear up over time and you may very well be right, but you cannot “hide your head in the sand” even if this is the case.  Be realistic and don’t worry where you don’t need to. Beware of exaggerating things in your head under these conditions. It is never a good idea to worry about possibilities.  See things as they truly are. It is best not to let your mind run wild.   Under these conditions, if you were to use these energies in an appropriate manner, you can intuitively know what is unfolding and ask for assistance from someone you trust to tell you the truth no matter what it may be.  Your intuition is strong now, but imagination can play a part. You must find out for sure what is imagined and what is real.    As Saturn moves out of orb, there may still be some difficulties lingering until the South Node is no longer in orb as well.   Neptune conjunct natal South Node suggests uncertainty. When challenged, Neptune can cloud matters as well. Give and Take in Appropriate Proportions It is important in all relationships (marriage, friendships and even in business) to have a balance of give and take.    With maybe the exception of a business relationship, we need to feel loved not just needed.  A relationship is based on balance. When we love, we give unconditionally but over time if we feel we carry the weight of the relationship, conditions begin to materialize.   All relationships take effort and hard work from all parties involved.   As they say, “Rome wasn’t built in a day”.    For many, in the beginning of a relationship, it is pure bliss. Before we go into details with Jupiter square natal Ascendant, we should share that this positioning of Jupiter squaring the Ascendant is highly influenced by the condition of your Natal Ascendant by aspects from other natal positions, as well as aspects coming from other transits. This must be taken into consideration when assessing our aspect focus today.   Jupiter expands on things.  In most cases, even when it is making a Square which is considered a challenging aspect, Jupiter still expands energies and can bring things to a head.  Jupiter’s natural tendency is to bring good fortune, favorable conditions, and opportunities.  Even with the Square aspect, this holds true, although not without some work or challenges.  Perhaps the road to success is somehow blocked and there are hurtles to overcome before reaching the desired results.  Perhaps the result is not quite what you had wished for but is still favorable.    Because we are referring to the Ascendant, what unfolds is often personal but also out in the open for the public to see.  It will be “out front” and obvious.  This may have something to do with relationships, work, life’s objectives, etc. Much will depend on the houses involved. Look not only at transiting Jupiter’s placement but also at its Natal position by house and aspect. This will give a clearer picture of the potential outcome of Jupiter’s square to the natal ascendant.   The Ascendant can also deal with health and if, for example, the Sun, the sixth or twelfth houses are part of the connection, health will be involved.  If, for example, someone has been seriously ill for some time, this square aspect might indicate an end to the suffering.    It should be noted that health, or any other indicators for that matter, must be suggested in more than one place in the chart while reading the transits.  For something to have the energy to unfolding and have a real effect on life, we need at least three different positions suggesting something of a similar nature before we consider the energies as a solid possibility.   Another example could be if perhaps you are traveling under this aspect. You may run into some unexpected difficulties especially if Uranus is part of the picture, but things will usually work out fine after the difficulties have been dealt with.   Having a look at the ruling planet of your Ascendant will also provide indicators. (For example, if Scorpio is rising, Pluto is the ruling planet. Open the Door Open the door. Jupiter Sextile Natal Neptune This is a favorable connection between Jupiter, the planet of good fortune, expansion and opportunities, and Neptune, the planet of spirituality, intuitive inspiration, mystical association, and potential links to creativity such as musical talents, and inspirational creations.  Individuals with a connection to the psychic realms by intuition, psychic creativity and those that are sensitive to energies may find that all of these potentials are enhanced and subject to expansion.   These tendencies are the more positive energies attached to Jupiter and Neptune, and because we are referring to the Sextile aspect, which is an opportunity aspect, we do not have to integrate the more challenging characteristics of both Neptune and Jupiter.    Sextiles are similar in the energies of a Trine, although in most cases, the Trine suggests easy flow and a general feeling of optimism, while the Sextile often requires action to take advantage of the energies. Learning to be patient is by no means an easy task, yet we are often faced with the need for patience daily.  They say patience is a virtue and through experience, we must agree that practicing patience leads to less stress. Those that have learned patience know that things move along just as they should and sometimes even though we feel ready for the next step, in reality, we may still have a little more to learn or practice before moving forward.   Patience and It's Rewards We must develop patience to remove stress from our lives. Most things take time, and when impatient, we just create anxiety and worry when these are not necessary.    If it feels as though life is standing still or moving at a snail’s pace, utilize the time to reassess things. We may just find solutions to issues we would not have found if we had moved forward when we were not ready.   There is nothing wrong with being excited to proceed with goals or dreams. Without dreams we place limits.   We will get to where we need to go in good time, and we will also be ready for it when it arrives.    Use the quiet times for mental processing to be ready when opportunities come knocking. Also remember to take time to rest and recharge, too.  These are essential.   If the process is not moving as quickly as you would like, do a review of what is important.  Practice patience and its rewards will compensate you. You can learn patience the hard way and create stress and anxiety, or you can learn to accept the pace life insists on moving at. Jupiter, while in transit moving through each sign (which takes about one year), will at some point make a Sextile to your Natal Saturn.  The natal aspects to Saturn in the birth chart will have great importance with this placement.  If Natal Saturn is poorly aspected, this placement of Jupiter will not be as simple a lesson as it would be if Saturn were well aspected natally.   Saturn in the birth chart speaks directly of the area of life that is challenged in some way.  Even a well-aspected Natal Saturn still represents an area of concern, and hard work is often indicated.  Some struggles can be anticipated but with certainty and a positive attitude things can work well for you if you apply yourself in whatever direction is required.  Saturn is the teacher/the disciplinarian of the zodiac and suggests that we need to work for our rewards in life.   Transiting Jupiter tends to bring easy flow and opportunities when it touches our natal planetary positions and angles.  Natal Jupiter’s position is an area of growth and opportunity.  You must integrate the natal potential with all transiting aspects but particularly when dealing with Saturn and Jupiter together.  Jupiter expands and builds potential, while Saturn restricts and delays the opportunities at hand, creating some structural obstacles that need to be rectified and worked through.  Structures often refer to our attitude and beliefs as well as challenges found within the environment itself.   Sextiles are similar to Trines in that they can help with situations, bring opportunities and add to the overall picture in a favorable manner.  The difference is that we must engage ourselves to reap rewards with Sextiles although sometimes things may just fall into our lap. Two steps forward and one step back.  It feels that way sometimes, but in reality, we are always moving forward.   The biggest issue with advancement is we judge our progress and our perceptions are not always accurate. At times, it certainly feels as though we are advancing, but at other times, we feel stagnated or held back with little to no progress.  At least this is our perception.   Every step of the way on our journey is a learning process.  Sometimes the lessons are challenging, sometimes less challenging. Nonetheless, the lessons are always valuable.   Perhaps we need a little adjustment or tweak to our thinking process?    Our perception and attitude towards life greatly affects the journey.   We can get caught up in setting goals for large achievements and not receiving recognition from others. We can feel as though we have failed by not reaching the pinnacle of our goals. We ignore the progress that was actually made.   Give Yourself a Pat on the Back for Always Moving Forward! One step at a time should be our timetable.  Focus on learning from the experience. Utilize the information gathered from these lessons. There is no such thing as failure. We are capable of switching that perception at any time.    You are always moving forward. Change your attitude from disappointment to gratitude for all that has been learned and for all that is.
