SOLAR AND LUNAR ECLIPSES We have two luminary Eclipses that affect humankind and likely all other species on earth. The energy influence of a Solar Eclipse and a Lunar Eclipse are both said to last approximately 6 months. Some say the Solar Eclipse lasts longer than the Lunar Eclipse stretching into one year of influence. The strongest period of influence is about 4-6 weeks after the eclipse and some individuals can feel the energies prior to the actual event as well. The Solar Eclipse always occurs during the New Moon and is said to expand in its energy over a period of some six months as mentioned above. It will impact your chart if it is within 3° of any planet in your birth chart, particularly the Sun and Moon. It will also highly affect your Ascendant and Midheaven. Its prime push is, with some impulsive action on our part, to create new beginning. Sometimes we are aware of what needs to begin and other times it can happen very unexpectedly. Because of this, it is suggested that you wait for things to settle before making any sudden or major changes to your life that may be regretted after this energy has subsided. Opportunities often present themselves, and in some cases rather dynamically. It may be hard to hold back as sometimes it feels very appropriate to move ahead with what seems to be the right choice under the influence of a Solar eclipse. The Lunar Eclipse always happens when we are having a Full Moon, which suggests that it is time to shed things that no longer suit our evolutionary growth. Sometimes things surface that may have been hidden in the past or swept under the proverbial carpet. We need to let go and move forward. This can be a challenging situation and the emotions will run high. It can bring a complete and sometimes sudden end to things, although in some cases we might already have been aware of this coming. Once again, change can happen suddenly and unexpectedly. We should take our time if at all possible. Sometimes things just happen that seem destined and almost out of our control. Some people fear the Solar and Lunar eclipses. In most cases, these events bring forward what is needed. The houses in your Astrology chart that are touched by the eclipse and the planetary energies will provide the information needed to have an idea of what to expect. This can be an especially significant event if other transits and progressions mirror what is suggested when these events take place. Our next eclipse will take place on August 12, 2026 at 20° in the sign of Leo. If you have any planets or angles involving this degree, most importantly the Conjunction and Opposition, the energies will have an impact on your chart. LAWS OF LIFE There are times when an offering or event suits you perfectly. It’s exactly what you have been looking for. You might have been waiting a long time for something like this to show up in your life. Life, on occasion, just lines up perfectly to your dreams. You may have thought those dreams would never come true but here it is! It’s a dream come true. It couldn’t be more perfect. How did this take hold in my life, you might ask? After a long period of challenge and disappointment, it almost seems unreal. Reflect on your frequency or focus over the recent past. Your attention likely had been drawn away from the struggles and hardships. You may have become accustomed to having to give extra effort to move forward so you were not hyper fixated on the struggle but on the hard work you were putting in. It was normal so you learned to allow. Because of this, your “struggle” frequency has changed to allowing. Your whole attitude began to adjust and before you realized it, life too began changing, especially in the moment. Why, you might ask. It is likely that it is your nature to fight and push back even with things are inevitable. If we allow instead of resisting, our focus goes through a shift. Is it really that easy? It was likely so easy that you didn’t really notice the shift. This is one of the laws of life. Available to everyone. We often look too deep for answers. In many cases, others may have pointed this out to us, but we didn’t accept it or did not act on it. Today, we can; so live it, love it, appreciate it and keep that focus on it. Neptune Sextile Natal Midheaven Transiting Neptune sextile natal Midheaven (MC) speaks directly to creativity connected to goals in life, your life’s path and your career. This is a positive aspect which insists on assistance from outside resources in reaching your personal goals. In some cases, this can be quite spiritual in nature due to Neptune’s influence. It can also be linked to creativity, such as a musician writing a song and finding inspiration in the process that might not have been available prior to this time. Neptune’s inspirational nature can add creative flow to music, acting, and anything connected to visualization or psychic energies. Meditating on how you want to proceed with your endeavors is highly suggested. You likely will get insight into how to move forward in ways that you could never have imagined previously. It is as though a helping hand is guiding you, and you get positive feedback from your efforts. If this is related to your career, you will find that your ideas seem to flow more easily and people may listen and even move ahead with what you are suggesting. Perhaps, for instance, you are putting together a presentation setting out ways to increase productivity. Now would be the time to make this suggestion and others will likely pay heed. Without your utilizing these energies and just sitting back thinking about what a good idea might be, the potential for this energy coming to fruition is unlikely. Often it is up to you to make things happen. Do not wait for things to fall into your lap and waste the opportunity. If your goals in life or path forward have to do with the psychic world, this would be the time to invest some of your valuable time towards going deeper. The potential for in-depth analysis is quite possible under these conditions. Mediation is suggested as mentioned and asking for assistance from deeper sources will likely open doors that otherwise might have been closed. Depending on your stage of development, it is quite possible for those that are already on this path that they find inspiration and ingrained knowledge surfacing under this aspect. Much will depend on which houses are involved and how Natal Neptune is aspected by other natal planets. Always look at the Natal potential and other transits to get the full picture on how this will transpire in your life. While transiting Neptune is making a sextile to your Natal MC, it is also making a trine to your Natal IC. As a result, the home and family will also be quite involved as will possibly one or both of your parents. Transiting Neptune Sextile natal Midheaven aligns your career or life’s path with your intuition and creativity. Use the energy available wisely! Some events in life can be quite overwhelming. We may spend countless time trying to put our lives together only to find that something is missing. It doesn’t all fit together; so what did I forget? You need to pay attention to the details because life can let you know that you missed something. There are indicators that something is not right, that you need to move ahead or that perhaps you don’t move ahead with your plans. Do you pay heed to these nudges? Sometimes fear gets in the way and we resist moving forward. Is it fear of failure, lack of confidence, or lack of ambition? Never let fear, laziness or doubt stand in the way of progress. Even if you tried and failed, you will have gained valuable information that sets you up for success on your next attempt. Do not get caught up in fear and worry. Sometimes you need to let life lead. Other times, you need to charge forward. Pay attention to details. If you fail, welcome the experience and knowledge gained setting you up for later success. We are here to experience and learn. We posted an article on the Sun in Leo on July 20. You can read the article at https://www.holmastrology.com/post/sun-in-leo-2026. 2026 ASPECTS FOR SUN IN LEO Today, we are focusing on the 2026 Aspect for Sun in Leo. Over the next year or so, those with their Sun in Leo (depending on the degree of their Sun) will have their Sun making a Trine to transiting Neptune and Saturn as well as a Sextile to Transiting Uranus. These aspects are considered quite favorable and should make life a little easier for those with their Sun in the degrees aspecting these outer planetary movements. Neptune (in Aries) and Uranus (in Gemini) are in the early degrees of the sign, while Saturn moves from 0 to 14° (in the sign of Aries for the 120° trine). We will not go into detail on these aspects as this article would be far too extensive. We will discuss the energies of Transiting Pluto which is also in the early degrees in Opposition (180°) to early degree Sun in Leo, and Jupiter making a Conjunction (0°) to those with their Sun in Leo beginning June 30 and moving into retrograde on December 12, 2026. Jupiter then goes direct again April 12, 2027. Jupiter goes as far as 27° Leo and moves down as far back as 16° before turning direct again. This will affect anyone with their Sun through any of these degrees at different periods throughout Jupiter’s movement in Leo. Jupiter expands on energy related to the Sun during this period and often brings good luck and fortunate conditions to life as it makes direct contact with your Sun. Events in the areas of life indicated by house position will move along favorably, and you can benefit from this. Of course, the Natal potential is realized during this time but much depends on the other natal aspects to the position of your Leo Sun. You also have to take into consideration how Natal Jupiter is aspected and its house position in the natal astrology chart to get a clearer picture of what might unfold during this time frame. This may affect your goals in life, life’s passage forward, opportunities in personal terms, physical health and matters pertaining to your growth which can be favorable during this timeframe. Now to Pluto which is making an Opposition in the early degrees of those with their Sun in Leo brings attention often from others or related to others on the course of your choosing. Transformation is at hand and a new direction in life may be revealed. Most Astrologer look at the Opposition as a challenging aspect and I agree, but at the same time, what takes hold in life, which is often out of your control, over time, takes you to where you need to go, no matter how it may look in the beginning. It will likely take about 2 years to understand the process of what unfolded over this period. The 2026 aspects for Sun in Leo suggest changes take place in personal terms and the potential for ego disputes is higher than normal. Do not sit back and do nothing. Pay attention to the underlying energies taking place. How is this moving you forward? This is a learning process and often quite significant as others point the way. We are taught by our reaction to what takes hold. Happy solar return to our Sun in Leo readers. May the 2026 aspects for Sun in Leo from Saturn, Neptune, Uranus and Pluto be easy and life be enjoyable! Has a new path presented itself to you? Adopt the New Direction Life’s path has many hills, valleys and bends. It changes like the seasons and in some cases, these changes can be abrupt. We may fight the process initially only to realize the change is not a choice. This can be challenging, but it would not be taking place unless we are ready or meant to take this new path. The journey forward may be unknown but embrace the change even though it is vague or uncertain. We never truly know what lies ahead with any type of certainty. In some cases, we are forced to walk a new road leaving our past course in the rearview mirror. Again, the journey ahead may appear challenging, but it will have its rewards. It likely is exactly what is needed. It will open new doors. Nothing happens without a purpose, and although we might not easily recognize that purpose, it exists. Wrap your arms around the new. Life always takes you where you need to go for the moment. Nothing stays the same. Even little twists and turns can be difficult to understand but our comprehension will catch up eventually. Adopt the new direction. Acknowledge the fear but step forward anyway. Yours is a life of discovery. The time is ripe for change and your attitude can make it challenging or enjoyable. SUN IN LEO 2026 The Sun moves into the sign of Leo on July 22, 2026. Leo individuals are born to be leaders. This is due to their confidence and ambitious nature. They want to make a name for themselves or at the very least receive recognition for their efforts. Leonians are team leaders and failure is not an option. If they come up short, they can be hard on themselves but usually recover well. They require feedback for their efforts. A pat on the back to acknowledge their efforts goes a long way. Leo individuals will not be held back. Progress is often steady and their relentless approach to life’s challenges are often met with vigor. Sun in Leo is a Fixed, Fire sign which suggests that there is a strong push to advance but under their own terms. A helping hand from others (as long as it’s not manipulative) can be welcomed. Leonians make the decisions and others follow their directions. They are very sure of themselves and trust their own judgement. Leo individuals (including some with the rising sign of Leo or a strong placement of planets in the fifth house which is ruled naturally by Leo) stand out in a crowd. They are charismatic and are known to be quite generous in many ways. These individuals are always there to lend a helping hand even if the recipient may feel they have everything well under control on their own. Stronger personalities may not like Leo’s drive for control of situations, but Leonians do this from their heart. Leo rules the heart. Leo individuals like to have fun and, in many ways, refuse to grow up. There is often a child quite alive within and this child is allowed out to play. The fifth house, naturally ruled by Leo, is the house of gambling and the enjoyment of life. Leo individuals take life seriously but also want to live a full life venturing beyond what the general public may look to do. These individuals are loyal, committed, generous in their actions, protective of others and stand their ground when adversity confronts them. Many are considered quite courageous. Most Leonians will not back down from a fight. This is not to say that they are physically aggressive, but they will, from a verbal perspective, stand their ground. Make a friend in Leo and you might have a friend for life, unless you hurt them emotionally. They don’t forget emotional pain which runs deep. They hate disappointment and always wish the best in life for themselves and for others. Happy solar return to our energetic, confident, charming, bold, from the heart Sun in Leo 2026 readers. We will take a quick look at the 2026 aspects coming up for Sun in Leo in our next Astrology post on Wednesday. NEPTUNE IN ARIES Since Transiting Neptune moves through a sign of the Zodiac in approximately 14 years, it is this astrologer’s opinion that it carries forward with it the energies of the previous sign that it just transited through, an orb of influence, if you wish, from the past sign. I have not done a consensus with other Astrologers, but I certainly think it is worth considering. Transiting Neptune moved into Aries on a permanent basis (no more retrograding back to Pisces) on January 26, 2026. It was in Pisces for approximately 14 years prior to this date. I like to a 3° orb of influence as this is when the energy is still recognizable from its previous sign placement. So, Pisces will still have an influence although weakening towards the end of 2026. In Pisces, many people found a renewed or first-time interest in the psychic realm. The door seemed to open, even if only with curiosity. Information and experience were gained throughout much of this cycle. Looking at the house where Neptune was transiting through and the Natal positioning by house and aspect in your personal Astrology chart provides you with more information as to how this might work out for you personally. This is not to say that everyone became overly affected in this manner, as Neptune also has its other side which includes illusiveness, confusion, and vagueness. Pisces can be often associated with drug and alcohol consumption and the wish to escape harsh reality. This may have also been associated with other individuals in your life. Neptune also has other facets to its personality, far too many to mention in this short article. If Neptune in Pisces had a psychic influence on you perhaps Neptune moving into Aries carried this forward in a much more personal way. Perhaps you can begin using this ability in a more personal manner and you have and will paid more attention to how you are living your life according to higher psychic/spiritual principles of love and compassion. Perhaps this is the time the door opens more from an internal perspective and allow Neptunes’ energy to infiltrate your inner being. Have a closer look at your true potential and begin using this openly. Make changes in this direction, where needed, so that you can foster in the change that is required in your own personal environment. This in turn will affect all of us as the ripple effect moves through each of us. Just a thought. What is your opinion? Transiting Neptune in Aries can push us to put our dreams into action. Our spiritual connection can now be an active part of our lives instead of just being a dream. PERPETUAL MOMENT Occurrences can happen in a flash. No time to prepare. No time to digest. No warning whatsoever. I believe that all things happen for a reason, although it can be hard to understand why. One single event can change the course of our lives. We wonder where we are heading. Anticipation can cause anxiety or worry. Even good changes can cause stress, but it can also open new roads to explore. These, as with any moment, are magnified by our attention to each detail. Life is miraculous and we can be astonished by experiences. More often than not, we move through life unaware of what lies ahead. We ponder outcomes without influencing them. We can get lost in our thoughts and can create unnecessary stress by worrying and wondering about possibilities. Remember, focus creates and amplifies. It is not always obvious but happens, nonetheless. Motion knows no boundaries. Simply allow, as life’s journey awaits us. Prepare but eliminate expectations. You really do not know where you will be tomorrow, so enjoy this perpetual moment. Focus on the here and now; it’s all we have. CANCER NEW MOON 2026 On July 14, 2026, we will be experiencing a New Moon at 21° in the sign of Cancer. When we experience a New Moon, the moon is always in Conjunction to the Sun. A new Moon signifies the beginning of something new focused on whatever energy it is influenced by. In this case, Cancer and the house which it is transiting through in your personal Natal Chart will provide the area of life effected for you. Cancer is very much associated with family and nurturing those close to us. It has to do with emotional expression and not only nurturing those around us, but also the need for personal nurturing. In many cases, because this New Moon is in Cancer, the feelings (emotions) are aroused, and we may feel more intensely than normal which touches us deeply. This is particularly true if you have planets in your chart either Conjunct this degree (21degrees Cancer) or in Opposition which would be in Capricorn. You can allow a 3° orb of influence. Squares, Trines and Sextiles also apply, but the Conjunction and Opposition are, by far, the most important (influential) angles. If this positioning affects the first or seventh house, for example, you would be a strong part of what this speaks about, and it likely encompasses your relationship, especially your spouse. It could also imply that this is about a shared business, like a partnership and in some cases speaks of open enemies. Transiting Mercury is also tightly connected (Conjunction at 19° Cancer) to the New Moon’s position. This implies that communicating and analyzing the situation is a part of the process. Mercury rules the mind and, if for example, this is in the third house, it might involve your siblings or perhaps something going on in the neighborhood. Since a New Moon is always about new beginnings, it is important to take action. Much will be determined by what you do about the situation or the potential at hand in roughly six months’ time when we reach the Full Moon in Cancer. The Cancer Full Moon is the harvest time of the seeds you plant now and nurture along the way. The Cancer New Moon 2026 creates an emotion focus on family and loved ones. Remember to also ensure that your own needs are nurtured and taken care of too. Is your cup half empty or half full? When you know there is a 30% chance of rain, do you think about the 70% chance of sunshine? Where is your focus? Life is as you view it. What you focus on will be your potential. Do you hold on to hardships or do you value the lessons and appreciate the knowledge once the lesson has been learned? Can you see the ray of hope? Your perspective is what matters. Your expectations are what count. Your belief structure molds reality. When you are fixated on one thing, you see nothing else. We have touched on this several times, but we can’t stress how important this message is. There is nothing more significant in your life. You have control over your focus and attitude. So, I ask again, is it a 30 percent chance of rain or a 70% change of sun? It’s your choice! Transiting Saturn Trine Natal Pluto Under challenging conditions, Saturn tests us and asks us to reconsider our plans with strategy and commitment. This is not the time to sit back and stagnate even though the way things were, prior to this aspect, may have felt comfortable. Saturn seeks stability and structure. Pluto wants to transform our commitment to prepare for something new. The norm is what comforts Saturn. Pluto pushes changes that will allow us to adjust to what is needed for our future. What was in place prior to this time, we may have outgrown. This is a time for rebuilding and building anew, not just a quick rebuild but something that will stand the test of time for our future. Something that is reliable and will force you to replace old habits and patterns that might have suited the times way back when, but now no longer serves your needs. This period, which requires inner strength and ambition, can push you ahead although it will take work to get to where you need to be in a year or two from now. This will not be an overnight success. It will take a lot of work and discipline and in some cases assistance from reliable outside sources. You likely have great inner strength although you might not recognize it. Asking for a little assistance when required will go a long way and does not diminish your strength in any way. There may be power struggles but listening to your peers and making decisions that are valid and can create a slow but steady change is what is required at this time. Don’t let fear stand in the way. Worrying about what might happen does not build character which is part of what you are doing under this aspect. You are getting rid of anything that might be holding you back and gaining inner strength along the way. Stubbornly holding on to what ”was” does not serve a purpose for you. This is a time for regeneration and transformation at its highest level. The energies are favorable at this time although things likely move a slower pace than you want. Transiting Saturn trine natal Pluto may bring upheaval but with effort this results in meaningful transformation. Work with the change, and listen for guidance that leads you to your new path.
