Transiting Neptune entered Aries on March 30, 2025.  It does go back into Pisces for a short period of time (October 22, 2025, to January 26, 2026) and then after January 2026 remains in Aries until it moves into Taurus in approximately 14 years.    The Sextile aspect (60° between two planets or angles) is considered a major aspect. (The Conjunction, Trine, Square and Opposition are also major aspects.) Normally, we find we begin to feel the energetic influence of any major aspects at about 3-5° prior to becoming direct as well as about 2-3° separating.  When direct (exactly at the degree), this will be the time when the aspects’ energies are most intense.  A transit from transiting Mars, the Sun or transiting Uranus will set in motion the interlinking energies of the planets (used to establish correct timing) that are making aspects together.  The progressed Moon can also be used as a timer.   The Sextile aspect is an aspect of opportunity and like the Trine often presents the individual with favourable opportunities, easy flow, pleasant or generally good outcomes, but unlike the Trine (which operates in such a way that little work on the part of the individual involved is required) the Sextile often needs a push or effort from the individual to create results from the opportunity.   Neptune, operating in its positive sense, brings to the forefront artistic abilities, creative potential, the want to help others and for those so inclined, can open the door for greater psychic perception. More insight and intuitive abilities can rise to the surface potentially providing those affected by this aspect with opportunities for advancement with these subjects.   Natal Mars, depending on its position in the birth chart, often produces a driving force and is a motivating factor for achievement.  It can also have something to do with our sex drive and can become aggressive in this pursuit, depending on which sign and the natal aspect configurations affecting Mars.  It can be confrontational, easily aroused and provide us with a push when we need it (and at the most opportune moments).   Neptune Sextile Natal Mars Neptune and Mars together can provide the push needed to bring forward some of life’s mysteries, create artistic opportunities for advancement and lead to favorable life events because we now have the ability to push ourselves a little harder with few reservations.  The opportunity is in place, but it will be up to the individual involved to make things happen.  Sitting back idle will not help with achieving what may be wanted. There are significant turning points in life which usually follow a period where we have done a full review and analysis of all that is in place. It is important to have these reviews regularly.   After careful analysis of our situation, we often instinctively know that it is time to make minor, and sometimes major, adjustments to our thinking or to our journey.   Life sometimes can seem to dictate but we always have options. Our current situation no longer fits. These times can be challenging (depending on the circumstances) or they can be uplifting and again, exciting.  Much depends on our attitude and what is unfolding.    Transitions are generally painful.  Ask anyone who has given birth.   Our outlook or needs can change, sometimes temporarily, other times permanently.  If change is required, it is best not to fight it. Uranus temporarily will move into Gemini on July 7, 2025, then back into Taurus on November 8, 2025 and finally move into Gemini for approximately 7 years on April 26, 2026. We thought we would touch on this transit as it will create a more easy flow for Uranus’ energies.   Taurus is stifling the energies of Uranus, (in its fall position which is a placement of general weakness for what the planet represents).    We have been learning to diversify and not depend on any one thing that brought us security and stability during Uranus’ stay in Taurus. Uranus does not sit well with ingrained structures that do not want to shift, even when a shift is required.  Uranus wants to open doors and awaken us to new possibilities and new beginnings because what has been in place, no longer suits our evolutionary quest.   Taurus is quite content with leaving things as they are.  It seeks security especially in areas concerning earthly achievements.  It moves tentatively, preparing for what might be required in the future as it slowly shifts where it feels shifting is required for the security it seeks.    Any shift which Uranus would have been trying to implement would take a long time to transpire and would not come easily.  There were concerns about what this change might bring. There would have been concerns as to whether these changes were safe, although the potential for building a solid foundation would have been in the forefront of any change taking place.   Soon, we will begin to feel it shift a couple of degrees prior to Uranus actually moving into Gemini. Our ideology will shift, and we will be more open to dialogue and ready for change. We will be mutable enough to shift without too much interference or worry about what this change might bring.   Gemini is easier going than Taurus, is able to shift where needed, is open to discussion and new dialogue and is adaptable when it comes to new enterprises.  We will be able to move ahead, think in broader terms and evaluate without cause for concern or worrying about the outcome. We will understand that change is required and that anything that is stagnated will no longer serves our purpose for the future.    As Uranus moves into Gemini, the thought process undergoes change, and we are intrigued. Our thoughts are stimulated by potential and concepts can maneuver their way over hurdles that have been in place. This will result in slow but likely steady growth.  Now, we can use what we have learned and open our minds further into exploration. We have a high-powered conjunction coming up with Saturn and Neptune.  Neptune entered Aries March 30, 2025, and will return into Pisces on October 22 and then make its return to Aries in January, 2026.    Saturn moves into Aries on May 25, 2025 and returns to Pisces September 1; finally moving back into Aries in the middle of February 2026.    Saturn and Neptune will be aligned in the early degrees beginning in May, 2025 and staying in close proximity in Aries until September 1.    Uranus makes a Sextile to this positioning in July while Pluto (in Aquarius) will also make a sextile to this placement.  Those individuals with planets or angles in these areas in their astrology charts will be influenced by the overall configuration taking hold during these times.  More will be written as we maneuver our way closer to these other planets making aspects.   Saturn and Neptune Conjunction in Aries Today, we will be touching on the influence of the conjunction of Saturn and Neptune.    Saturn has to do with reality, focus, is serious in nature, disciplined, organized, structured and reliable.  Saturn is driven by the conscious mind and is in tuned with the material world and what the material world has to offer.   Neptune is illusive, mystical, spiritual, psychic, can be somewhat vague, can also be unreliable and often has to do with dreams, the meditative experience and is driven by the unconscious.    So how will Saturn affect Neptune?    Saturn tends to create stability and will clarify exactly what the psychic realms mean on a personal basis, due to both planets being in Aries.  Saturn will ask you if you are seeing things clearly as they are. Smiling Faces Sometimes we have to use our intuition to understand what a smiling face represents.  Sometimes a smiling face is exactly what it appears - someone who is happy, happy to see you, showing they care and/or want to help.  Other times, a smiling face masks sadness or even worse.  Some can be conniving, scheming on how to pray on the innocent. Confirm who is offering you anything particularly on-line, whether it be assistance, messages, information, etc.   Look around you. Look at the services that are offered to those in need generally manned by volunteers.  We live in a close community and have many resources at our disposal.  The general direction of our world is progressive although it may not look that way currently.  It is only the few that cause uprisings, don’t give a damn and put money and themselves first. Too many of us have become distant, untrusting and even vengeful. Don’t get caught up in all that you read and hear.   Standing up for your values. Allow yourself to care.  We need to survive and there is nothing wrong with being comfortable but our sole purpose is not to incur personal gain at any expense. We are living in a material world and learning the lessons that can only be taught under these conditions.    Love, compassion and caring rise above all else. ARIES NEW MOON 2025 This Aries New Moon on March 29, 2025, at 6:57 a.m. EDT marks the beginning of a needed change for something significant.  The Aries New Moon will also be a partial solar eclipse which will be visible locally.   Quite often the energy of an eclipse also marks the ending of one thing making way for the beginning of something new.    Ask yourself what needs change?    You must also accept the changes that will be brought forward.  This is or these are needed and sometimes occur because of events outside of your control.   An Eclipse (and it does not matter whether it is a Solar or Lunar eclipse, although the Lunar eclipse is more on an emotional level) will be beneficial although it may take some time to recognize its energies’/change’s benefits.  Sometimes things happen out of the blue and they are not expected.  Important events tend to bring things to the surface.  You may find that during the Eclipse you reach what some would call a turning point, and once reached, there is no looking back.   An Eclipse must affect (make contact by aspect to planets or angles) your chart for there to any an influence to you personally.  An Eclipse that falls within 3° (some astrologers give it a wider orb of influence of 5°) to any planet, any angle in your Natal chart, lines up with either the Solar chart or the Progressed chart will have an impact in your life.  Eclipses are not to be viewed as bad or good, for that matter. They are energies pushing for required changes that take hold in life because this change is required.   You may find you have more integrity than normal and can do things that you might not have been able to do prior to the influence of this New Moon/Partial Solar Eclipse.  In many cases, it is best to wait until after the eclipse has completed its course before making important decisions.  The decisions may affect you in personal terms, especially with Aries as the point of interest. Others may also be affects because of your decisions or actions.    It is time to move forward with your objectives however, and life is about to change the course of events and bring honesty to the surface.  The truth shall reign, and it sometimes happens very quickly.   This is the time, because of Aries being the sign of this eclipse, to push for what you need personally.  This should not be presented in such a way that ego is involved or that others are hurt intentionally, but what we do will affect others (keep this in mind).    Important people may enter or leave your life at this point, but there is a reason for this. Eventually, time will reveal why this took place.  Accept what unfolds and know that it is for the best, no matter how it looks under the current situation.    A solar eclipse’s impact can last for several years, but the most intense time will be the first 12 to 18 months.  Much will depend on which houses are involved in your chart, the energies in place and the overall condition in the birth chart that is affected by this positioning. ANTICLIMACTIC Sometimes we build up expectations to much more than what actually unfolds.  This can be a relief if our minds have run with a disaster scenario. We can also blow the positive out of proportion and in the end be very disappointed.   Hopefully, more frequently, we usually end up somewhere in the middle.  It can be hard to not let our imagination run with us, bringing all kinds of potential into our imagination.  We manufacture situations and circumstances and can be completely lost within them even though they are not real.   We may think that our lives are about to take a turn for the worst and picture many different scenarios that may transpire. We may imagine that we lose our jobs, have a marriage breakdown, get into an accident, cause relationship issues with friends and the list goes on and on.    What actually transpires in likely far from what we conjured up in our minds.  We can worry excessively, become anxious, cause dis-ease, etc.   It is best not to get carried away with our imagination as it causes unneeded concerns or potential let-downs because what we thought would happen didn’t or couldn’t materialize.  Worry only accomplishes our enjoyment of the moment but never has a productive influence.   I am sure many of us have thought about how life would be if we won the lottery and built this up in our minds and when the final draw happened, we were truly devastated.  Our minds can take us down many different paths.  If we took a step back, it is quite interesting to watch as a spectator where the mind try to take us at times.   In the end, it is important to experience what unfolds without living it a million times in numerous scenarios created by our imagination. We can do our best to avoid unwanted outcomes, if we actually have a part to play in that outcome. We have lessons to learn, and it is so much easier and healthier to let life lead and teach us.  You might be pleasantly surprised at what unfolds.    My point is to “live in the moment”. The moment holds all that we need and is not anticlimactic.  Avoid unnecessary, fabricated anxiety or expectations. See here www.holmastrology.com/post/sun-in-aries-2025   Aspects to Sun in Aries 2025 Today we will focus on the aspects to Sun in Aries 2025.   There are currently several planets either already in the sign of Aries or that will be entering this sign shortly.  (This article was written in March of 2025). The Planets involved include Mercury entering Aries on April 15, Venus entered Aries on March 6 (and completes its Aries visit on March 30), Mars enters Aries April 9, Saturn entered Aries on February 14 and Neptune currently moves in and out of Aries/Pisces until it enter Aries permanently in January 2026.  As you can imagine, this is a powerful place where these planets will group and align.   Aries represents an aggressive push for achievement and self-driven motivation.  As the Sun enters Aries, the drive to achieve goals, make personal changes, career advancement or change, financial adjustments, communication techniques, home and occupational directions, development with your children, romance and commitment and deep contemplation are all potentially active areas that may unfold over the next period.  Much depends on the planets involved and the house placements in your personal chart.   Touching on the outer planets Neptune and Saturn will have a profound effect on many Sun in Aries individuals especially with their Sun in the early degrees of Aries (anywhere from 1-10°).  There will be a strong desire to stabilize goals and aspirations and to commit to making personal and professional decisions.  There may, however, be times when you are not quite clear with which direction to focus your attention, and things will, at times, be unclear as to where this will take you in the future (Neptune influence).    If these aspects are favorably influenced by other significators in the current transits and if the natal potential is also favorable, there can be a degree of inspiration attached to what is unfolding and a movement towards understanding and centralizing mystical interpretations.  Some Ariens with artistic talents, acting or musical abilities, that have these aspects positively placed in their charts, may now find inspiration.  Advancement and achievement may go hand in hand and the push you have been or are currently applying may move you in a direction that over times proves to be quite favorable.    This whole period with this significant alignment will push the average Arien towards looking out more for themselves, making sure that they are working towards becoming more stable even under current world conditions.    Once again, the house placement of your Sun will be very important and revealing as time goes by.  The natal positioning of your Sun by aspect as well and the relationship regarding natal Mars will also play significant roles in the upcoming time frame.   Happy solar return to our Arien readers. Spring's Illumination Today, Thursday, March 20, 2025 at 5:01 am EDT, we experienced the Spring vernal equinox (Ostra), the balance of light and dark. With spring comes the promise of a new start, rebirth, and renewal. Our world and our lives shed their heavy wintery blanket, and light begins to shine forth. There is a promise of longer, brighter, warmer days. Sprouts will eventually begin to push their way through the soil, trees’ buds will burst, the grass will green, and snowflakes and ice pellets transform to warm raindrops.  There is so much promise. Even without the telltale signs of nature, we know in our heart renewal is coming. Beyond the feelings we experience, in a more intangible way, we see the changes in the shadows, we feel them in the air, we hear them from nature and smell it in the wind; of course, if we take the time to place our focus on these things. Along with this new life springing forth, we experience the ability to have fresh starts in our own lives. This is a time of renewed vigor; it is an awakening so to speak. This can draw us nearer to the warmth and sunshine in our hearts and souls, not just in the world around us. We can mirror and utilize the energy brought on through the change of the seasons to stimulate and push us into our personal pursuits, new or old. A new beginning is at hand with the promise of personal growth, all depending on the seeds we now plant and continue to nurture in the future. This is the time to renew our motivation, to push ahead and find outlets that can help us renew our commitment to ourselves for further growth, expansion, and evolution. Springs seems to afford us the energy to move ahead more willingly in our endeavors, particularly those focuses we allowed to go dormant during the winter when we were more focused on going within to our dark corners.  Now that we have a better understanding of those dark corners, they can now be illuminated by the sun and our own personal light. This renewed vigor can propel us into new-found areas that may not have been available throughout the dark winter. It is truly up to us what we plan to do with this energy and whether we utilize it or whether we just allow it to dissipate. Mirror the seasons. Take advantage of the energies at hand. The Sun is moving from the Mutable, Water sign of Pisces into the Cardinal, Fire sign of Aries on March 20, 2025.    Sun in Aries Aries is known for wanting to do their own thing.  They truly believe in their decision making, even if they need to redo portions or parts of what they have started.   Arians love new adventures and want to experience everything that life has to offer and can be relentless in their pursuit of these experiences.  They have a positive methodology and believe in themselves.  Their approach to life is very positive and they have a lot of confidence in their objectives.  They rely primarily on themselves and will admit when they make mistakes. These individuals get right back up when they fall.   They are truthful, perhaps almost to a fault, as they speak their minds and saying things as they are.  They are not overly swayed by other’s opinions but will listen to guidance and then forming their own views on whatever information they have gathered.    Aries individuals are enthusiastic about nearly everything and are considered quite fearless in their approach.  Their energy is almost unlimited, and they will tackle anything with great enthusiasm and vigor.  They truly feel that they know what is best, especially when dealing with things that involve them personally.   All signs of the Zodiac have their own shortcomings. If we were to examine some of these for Aries, it might be said that they can be somewhat reckless at times and because of this, they must redo things.  They can be a bit too impatient with others. This may be due to their competitiveness and they don’t like being held back or to have to move too slow.  They can be short-tempered mainly because they are a fire sign, as can the other fire signs, Leo and Sagittarius.   In general, most Aries individuals believe their own interests come first, largely because they like to help others but realize that in order to do this they must first get their own affairs in order.    Sun in Aries individuals are caring, honest, truth speaking people who are great entrepreneurs and business people. Get To The Point Many of us choose a roundabout manner or we are vague when we are sharing challenging news, sharing a difference of opinion or following up on a difficult decision.  It is not always an easy task letting someone know something that you know will create emotional stress or something they do not want to hear.  We try to break it to them gently but have a difficult time saying it as it is, only because we are concerned about the outcome.   In the meantime, many awaiting difficult news truly want you to be honest and say it as it is. Some do not want to engage in challenging conversations or difficult situations but the time has come for this to come to the surface, and you do not have the right to hold back.  It’s uncomfortable but necessary.   Holding back or not being direct serves no purpose other than dragging out what needs to surface anyway.  If you are the bearer of bad news, don’t hold back. This article is written in March, 2025. Transiting Neptune is moving into Aries at the end of March.
