  • No Retrograde

No Retrograde No Retrograde Planets in a Chart The energies of a planets in retrograde in an Astrology chart tend to make us look inward. Those with several retrogrades in their chart (and the magic number seems to be 5) tend to be introverted, even subdued and much to themselves. The energies have difficulties working their way to the surface and are stifled. It takes great effort to bring the energies to the surface and make the necessary adjustments to challenge these so-called deficiencies. Personally, this Astrologer does not believe in deficiencies. I tend to look at it as harnessed energy waiting for the opportune moment to be released. Those people without retrogrades in their birth charts are in the minority. It is said that roughly seven percent of people have this phenomena. It is believed that the energies of all the planets are released and given free reign and allowed to flow freely. This in turn can create an individual who may lack patience and they often avoid using a cautious approach. The waiting game is not part of their nature and they much prefer to move things along. There is usually great energy behind these individuals and they work tirelessly towards the achievements of their objectives in life. They have strong willpower and are persistent in their efforts to succeed. They move forward similar to Aries often advancing with little afterthought, if any, and they rarely disbelieve in their own abilities. As a result, they are normally quite successful. Some individuals without retrograde planets in their chart do fall from time to time; however, this will not stop them from getting back up and moving ahead again. Their determination is steadfast and they rely on no one for approval or even assistance. They believe in their own abilities and also stand behind their failures for they are valuable lessons. These lessons are not cause for alarm. “Let’s just start again and see what happens” could be their motto. “If it does not work this time, perhaps it will the next time”, or “I will just need to make some minor adjustments” would be statements you would hear from these individuals. They are self-reliant and self-determined. These traits can make them great entrepreneurs. They are willing to take the plunge and often without much reserve. Most of these individuals would prefer to work alone. This, however, can make them somewhat aloof and even distant as they unconsciously withdraw into themselves. They may even feel misinterpreted and wrongly judged by others, because of this loner type mentality. But this is only in extreme cases and it is wise to take into consideration the whole chart before coming to any conclusions. There are many things in the chart that can offset some of these characteristics, but moving forward and going it alone is quite common for someone without retrograde planets in their natal chart. • The Eleventh House

The Eleventh House The Eleventh House The eleventh house deals primarily with group endeavours, clubs and organizations that we would like to be affiliated with. Within these groups, we seek to find fulfilment and often as a group we define our ideals and ambitions. This is the house where we define our goals. These are often inner goals and through the discovery of these aspirations, we can uncover our contribution to the world. How we uncover this involvement may be discovered through the sign ruling this house cusp and planets found within the house. The relative ease or difficulty in reaching these aspirations are influenced by the planets in this house and the aspects formed through contacts with other planets. The eleventh house is also the house of friendships and the ruler along with any planets found within this house will define the type of individuals that we may associate with. Friends and acquaintances are often found within a group consciousness and gatherings of like-minded individuals. Planetary links and aspects to these planets will define the degree of difficulty in maintaining these friendships or relative ease in forming them. The fifth house is the opposite house to the eleventh house and often defines the love that we give out into the world. The eleventh house has to do with the love received, usually through friendship and group acquaintances. If the eleventh house ruler is under developmental tension, defined by the sign’s ruler and aspects to this ruling planet, there are often difficulties when it comes to a balance between love given and love received. Often the individual feels as though they are doing all the giving and not enough is returned. If for example you have Scorpio ruling the eleventh house, then the ruling planets would be Pluto and Mars . This would suggest that the organizations that you would want to be involved in would probably have metaphysical undertones and this could be a driving force within the structure of these groups. Much of your maturation would be developed through interchanges within these groups, would lead to transformations that at some point in life would cause you to re-evaluate who you are, and what you could do to change the world around you. Astrology 101 The Eleventh House is naturally ruled by Aquarius. The Eleventh house deals with GROUPS and FRIENDSHIPS. • The Sixth House

The Sixth House The Sixth House is naturally ruled by Virgo , the sign of service rendered to others and this is primarily what the sixth house is based on. It could be considered a somewhat sober house, in that it calls you back to the business of practical living. The fifth house was all about romance and having fun and the sixth house is very real and functions on a much more serious note. In its highest sense, the Sixth House teaches us to love one another through selfless acts of service to others. However to promote this higher level of service, it has to be done willingly. Included in the field of service is our working conditions and environment. This is also a focal point of the Sixth House. Within this setting, we meet up with our working associates. Often with planetary links connected to the Sixth House, they will reveal how we relate to our working atmosphere and contacts. The Sixth House also deals with health matters, although chronic health conditions are connected to the Twelfth House . Much can be assessed in connection with our health when we look at the conditions of the Sixth and Twelfth houses , along with the Ascendant's aspects. The Sixth House is where we have the potential to clean up and strengthen our health through routine exercise programs and healthy diet. The Sixth House can also indicate, depending on conditions surrounding this house, eating disorders. The Ascendant, the Twelfth House and the Sixth House are important areas that can help us to pinpoint physical conditions, although it is always suggested that one seeks medical advice above and beyond Astrological indications. Astrology points the way but outside assistance is always recommended especially when health is a specific concern. Even if the Astrology chart indicate health issues related to these houses, these houses can be transformed into houses of wellness as there are many roads to healing, such as meditation and health consciousness which can be achieved through many avenues. There are many solutions available to issues suggested within the horoscope. The strong aspects (which will be discussed under "Aspects" as we further develop this website) such as the conjunction, square and opposition are the greatest learning tools available to us all. The easy flowing aspects like the sextile and trine create calm conditions and opportunities. We gain so much more from confronting our challenging aspects and making them work for us, instead of against us. We are never at life’s mercy. There are always alternatives. The Sixth house also deals with small animals and our pets, but in most cases the central areas of focus of this house deal with service, health, hygiene and the working environment. Astrology 101 The Sixth house is naturally ruled by Virgo . It is the house of SERVICE and HEALTH The First House The Second House The Third House The Fourth House The Fifth House The Seventh House The Eighth House The Ninth House The Tenth House The Eleventh House The Twelfth House

  • Uranus

Uranus Uranus, the planet of revolution and sudden often drastic change, can often causes havoc in people’s lives when in transit. It is the ruler of Aquarius the water barer, and is commonly known as the awakener. Its influence functions as a huge factor in making necessary changes in your life. Uranus makes changes in areas of life that have outgrown their purpose and require alteration. Uranus held to liberate us from anything that could be considered traditional or restrictive in nature. It creates a desire for the new and unique and often produces this in unexpected and in unconventional ways. Uranus moves through each sign in approximately 7 years and takes a full 84 years to circle the zodiac. During its movement it creates quick results and a feeling of liberation and freedom from restriction. Uranus governs universal brotherhood and is humanitarian in its nature. It will force you to have an honest look at life's issues and then make necessary changes. If you choose not to adhere to what is being proposed, it often acts in a much more abrupt manner and in a manner that will be often out of your control. Uranus also has been known to produce shocking awakening when the eyes have been closed to what is required. It governs universal truths and intuition and anyone with strong Uranus tendencies has a unique way of translating these truths, quite often in an abrupt matter-of-fact fashion Uranus’s action is unpredictable, imaginative and also very inspirational. It is the higher octave of Mercury and therefore is considered a planet linked to the mental process. It deals a lot with potential outcomes and is future oriented. Uranus pushes us to come out into the open and express our uniqueness and creativity as well as advanced mental quickness and agility, similar to Mercury , although the thinking process may be considered bohemian in its nature. • Moon's Nodes

There are two nodes of the Moon, the North & the South Node. They are known as destiny’s gate or the axis of fate. These Nodes have a karmic and spiritual relevance and some say they are the meeting point between the higher powers and humanity as a whole. This is where the spiritual energies enlighten humanity with their life’s mission. It speaks about where we should be heading (North Node) and where we have come from in a life that has significant ties to this one (South Node). Moon's Nodes There are two nodes of the Moon, the North Node and the South Node. These areas of the chart are always in opposition (180 degrees apart). The South Node has connections with our past, and we bring with us qualities that we can use in this life to help us connect with our current life’s mission. The South Node is an area or energy that we are comfortable with, as these energies are instinctively familiar. The North Node, however, is completely new and rather unknown to us. Most of us are a little uncomfortable with the energies of our North Node (NN). However, life tends to keep pushing us towards our NN objectives. We are linked to the NN as this is what we need to learn and to develop and use as our journey continues. It takes some courage in surrendering to our NN energies and direction in life. New areas are opened and revealed to us over time, and they are necessary traits to be acquired in order to facilitate the growth required by the soul. The North and South Node often provide us with information so we can decipher why we have come into this life and what our purpose truly is. It is said that what happens in this life is tied to what we have experienced previously. The North Node is known as the dragon’s head while the South Node is known as the dragon’s tail. These nodes although coming from different perspectives will aid in our quest and foster growth through life’s experience that will eventually lead us to where we are meant to go. The North Node and South Node are defined by sign and house position. For example since they are always 180 degrees apart, if you have a NN in Pisces in the third house, you will have a SN in Virgo in the ninth house. The house position is similar to having the ruling sign position. As a result, if, for example, you have the NN in the first house, it is like having the NN in the first sign of Aries. The SN would be in the seventh house which would be like having the SN in Libra. Between the energies of the Nodal sign position and the Nodal house position, you will get a good idea of what life’s mission might be. Many in early life are led by the SN node tendencies as this is a comfortable place. As we mature into ourselves, we begin to develop our NN abilities and move into our destined path. Back to Top Planets & Aspects Linked to the Nodes The planets and the aspects that link up to these two nodes should be treated in the same manner as any other planets’ energies in the Astrology chart. The aspects are also treated as any other aspects in the chart. The planetary energies tie in with the Nodes and emphasize what these energies imply. For example, Mars tied to the South Node may indicate that in a previous life you were a fighter or someone with a vile temper or a leader who lead others through force. The North Node tied to Mars may suggest that in this life you are to pursue your objectives with vigor and use your inherent strength to accomplish what you set out to do. Mars would give you the impulse to address what the sign and house position of the North Node suggests. When a transiting planet conjuncts the North Node, and if for example it were Uranus, this may be a time when you should follow the desire to break free from any type of restriction that has held you back and has stopped you from achieving what the North Node is suggesting. This may happen on the spur of the moment and without warning. It may push you in a direction that requires immediate decision making and the desire for something new and enterprising especially if the North Node is in the sign of Aries for example. If Uranus were transiting your South Node, this would suggest that it is not the time to do these things and that you should weigh things out before making any commitment to change and follow a new life direction. It warns of sudden decision that might hamper you later in life. Rash decision making would not be recommended. You should take time to ponder your actions before making any moves regardless of the desire to move ahead in a new direction. You could check out the house that your North Node or South Node are in to give you further information about what area of life is involved. You could also check out which house your natal Uranus is in to add to the underlying information being provided to you through your chart. In most cases, if you take the time suggested with the South Node (and remember the South Node has similarities to Saturn’s actions) you can make informed decisions rather than jumping, which is what Uranus would want from you. The North Node and Uranus however, would suggest that you take that giant step and move in that intended direction in your life, as the North Node is similar in its action to Jupiter and usually provides good fortune and positive outcomes. You always need to look at the overall picture of what is happening in your chart before making any life changing decisions. Back to Top Transiting Moon's Nodes The transiting Nodes take 19 years to move through all of the signs of the zodiac in an Astrology chart. It takes approximately 1 ½ years to move through one single sign. As houses depict areas of life, the nodes moving through a house will define areas of life where we are gaining knowledge. We get a deeper understanding of the areas of life governed by the house position of the nodes. Remember that there are two nodes, a North and South node, and they are always in opposition (opposite) to one another. Both houses will be affected by our nodes’ placement. The Nodes are attached to our soul’s mission and we have come to experience life more fully in each area of life that the nodes are influencing in the birth chart. In general, we are here to serve on one level or another and although the Nodes definitely teach us valuable lessons in life, once learned and understood, we can offer up information and assistance to those that are interested in the information we have to offer which will assist them in whatever way needed. The nodes are tied to our destiny so when we are experiencing our nodes in action, stimulated through house contact and planetary links, we have obligations to fulfill. Remember we came into this life to fulfill our life’s goals which are closely linked to the nodal positions at birth. We have to give a little of ourselves in order to complete our soul’s requirements, as we have much to offer. Our higher connection to self (from a spiritual perspective) and the earthly measures we take assist us in getting one step closer to our higher purpose. We have come to serve a purpose and to learn lessons through experience and to add to the greater whole. We are at the controls of our experiences but often when the nodes are under hard aspect, or activated through transit, we may feel as though we are at the mercy of life’s events and life seems to have control over us. This is when we have to use our inner guidance, our spirit guides, our astrology charts or those wise individuals that walk this journey with us to work through life’s events. Many times the overall plan behind our experiences may escape us consciously, and we have to find the faith in the process that is required and recognize that there is something much bigger at work than what is obvious to us in human form. The North Node always pointing us towards our objectives. When the North Node is transiting a point in our chart, it asks us to go deep into our lesson. It asks us to think about what we might want to do or where we might want to address change or gain through experience. The North node operates in the same fashion as Jupiter, so it offers us opportunities and provides us with good luck and generally makes us happy and more content in our life’s progress when we follow its energies. The South Node acts in similar ways to the planet Saturn. The South Node wants us to pay attention to what can be learned through the potential rough spots that we may encounter along the way. It offers lessons and responsibilities and makes us aware of our liabilities. The South Node makes us work on these areas of life which are in focus and the energies of the planets that are being activated through this contact. Although we may have to sacrifice or let go of something, it also offers up chances for spiritual growth through these experiences and lessons that need to be well learned. This knowledge will be used as our lives progress. Stay open to advice being offered from both nodes and use the energies of the North Node to facilitate growth in your life’s quest. Use the energies and lessons of the South Node with caution and care but recognize the importance of what is being said for your greater good. All aspects (regardless of which aspect it is) has something important to give. Leaving the door open to this understanding will allow the positive energies of all aspects to generate opportunities in our lives. Back to Top

We really don’t know where we are headed, yet we can always hold our heads high and make our way through the currents of change presented to us daily. Life moves us along with or without our approval. We juggle our objectives and set courses for the road ahead without really knowing where that road might take us. Our objectives are likely feasible and attainable, yet it is okay to reach for higher goals as the higher we aim the higher we can reach. You may question what is the purpose for striving to achieve or to pushi ahead in life. After all, life is uncertain. It is human nature to need goals and objectives to strive for as it gives us tangible purpose. We learn perseverance in dealing with the different climates life presents us with and need to be adaptable as we coming to terms with where life is taking us. We find solace in those that provide support and tell us to hang on. We maneuver our way forward and we learn to listen to the advice of our inner voice and those who care about us. We will learn to walk with our heads high through difficulties and we gain immensely through adversity. There certainly will be times when life smiles at us and we must remind ourselves to relax and enjoy these times. Life is a continual lesson, a continual current of change. We have gained inner strength particularly in the darkest moments. This is a test of resilience. A test of faith in others and ourselves. Count your blessings and acknowledge your accomplishments. Believe in yourself. Listen to advice and know that you are never alone. You can depend on life teaching you whatever you need to know and then moving you in the right direction, always! #astrology #HolmAstrology #astrologer #spirituality #themoment #spiritualjourney #schooloflife #psychic #Medium #innerstrength #adversity #lifestruggles #learning #growth #resilience #obstacles #inthemoment #newblogpost Holm Astrology not only offers Astrology charts but also offers individual intuitive readings or group parties. Follow us on Facebook , Instagram and X 1 day ago Transiting Jupiter Sextile Natal Mars Rated 5 out of 5 stars. 5.0 | 1 Rating Transiting Jupiter can have a profound effect while making a sextile to your natal Mars. The timing usually lasts about 6 to 8 weeks depending on whether Jupiter moves into its retrograde cycle. Transiting Jupiter Sextile Natal Mars Currently (August 2024) Transiting Jupiter will move into retrograde on October 8, 2024, and it will be at 21° in the sign of Gemini. Its stationary period is about one day. This stationary period is very intense for those who have a planet at this degree, especially those that have major aspects within 1-3° direct from the natal chart to this position. Jupiter’s influence, while in retrograde, will last many months and those affected will feel its intensity when it crosses the degrees of influence in their personal natal chart. We are discussing the sextile in this post, but the trine is also similar to the effects of the sextile, and both are energies we hope and wait for. The sextile implies opportunities that will be presented and that we need to act to take advantage of. The sextile is a positive aspect and indicates openings and prospects for when things might flow in a more constructive manner. Jupiter is the most opportunistic planet in Astrology. Jupiter provides growth, expansion, good luck, rewarding experiences and allows things to move forward. When applied to challenging situations like someone experiencing a fatal disease or illness with no prospect of recovery, it can also indicate the ending of situations pushing things ahead so that no further suffering takes place. With Transiting Jupiter Sextile Mars, we have a great push to advance in some manner, depending on the houses involved in our chart. The houses are areas of life, and this will be where these energies are initiated. Wherever Mars is located in the Natal Chart, this will be the area which offers opportunities for growth and expansion. If, for example, Mars is tied to the MC (midheaven), this will suggest that opportunities in abundance may lie within the scope of your career or ties in with your objectives and path in life. Your status may change and this flows in a smoother manner. With the sextile, however, you must take advantage of the energies at hand, or they may not manifest in the manner that they could if you were to push for results. If Jupiter is travelling through your 11th house and it makes a Sextile to your Mars/MC’s position, you may receive help from groups or from friends to make things happen. If Jupiter is travelling through the 12th house and still making this sextile to your Mars/MC, assistance may come from unknown sources, or you may receive help from the subconscious or other realms of influence. This may be hidden from you or perhaps you do not know about this energy or where it has come from. Transiting Jupiter Sextile Natal Mars is an aspect of great expansive, beneficial energy. It is an energy, however, that you must work with. The benefit will not simply fall in your lap. Take advantage if this transit is affecting your chart. A professional Astrologer can help you understand the potential with this aspect and other aspects forming angles within the natal chart. #astrology #HolmAstrology #astrologyposts #astrologer #astrologersofinstagram #astroworld #zodiacsigns #psychic #OracleReadings #transits #aspects #sextile #JupiterSextileMars #expansion #opportunity #push #energy #newblogpost Holm Astrology not only offers Astrology charts but also offers individual intuitive readings or group parties. In the face of opposition, we can find ways to maneuver our way through, and with persistence, our efforts pay off. We all have certainly lost some battles or at least that is the way it felt, but we gained experience from these encounters. We also feel like we have won some of these predicaments. We have achieved heights we never thought were possible and gained inner strength and resilience. PERSISTENCE PAYS DIVIDENDS For those overwhelmed by their current journey, we still say, “never give up”. Persistence pays dividends. Fight through any adversity. Make your way forward one step at a time and find a resolution or a path around whatever stands in your way. It is worth the fight regardless of the outcome as you will begin to realize that there is a core of strength within that you may have never realized before. We are resilient by nature and can and will withstands adversity if we decide to. Keep up the good fight and know that you can and will not only persist but overcome on some level, even if it may be a change of attitude. You are stronger than you realize, and you have inner resources available when you believe in yourself. Thought process, belief structure and expectations mold our lives. You will persevere; you will find a way around or over any obstruction and walk away a better person because of it.
