- Juno | holmastrology.com
Juno relates to your relationships and fairness, honesty and equality. Juno offers information on what may assist you with these relationships. Juno Juno is an asteroid discovered in 1804 and is located between Mars and Jupiter. Juno’s main attributes in Astrology focus on the need for fairness, balance and equality, especially within important relationships such as a marriage partnership. Juno’s energies want things to run smoothly, be just and honest. Its energies do not do well when inequalities are part of the picture or infidelity comes into play. Juno’s focus is commitment and has high regard for trust and justice. It insists on fair play, especially within partnerships. The house where Juno is located in the natal chart, along with its aspects, describe in what manner Juno’s energies seek these attributes and in what area of your life it is focused. Some say that Juno has some elements similar to Venus, specifically those of love and affection. It also carries with it similarities to Libra because of its link to relationships and its need for balance and fairness. It has been said that Juno sees below the surface of things and alerts us when things are moving in the wrong direction (due to its need for being treated with respect and equality). Like Libra, Juno seeks to balance the scales. As with Libra, it is not balanced but has to do with the need to balance and find justice. As mentioned, Juno’s sign and house position along with the aspects it receives from other planets within the natal chart speaks clearly of its impact within romantic relationships and committed partnerships such as marriage. Juno and its significance in the birth chart relates to your relationships especially concerning fairness, honesty and equality. Juno offers information with what may assist you with these relationships. When touched by transit or progressed planets, Juno will enlighten you as to what the road ahead might entail, how to see the warning signs, and offers guidance on how to move forward with the energies at hand. - Outer Planet Return
THE OUTER PLANETS' RETURN CYCLES (URANUS, NEPTUNE & PLUTO) The outer planets also have return cycles although the only one we might experience would be the Uranus return which occurs around the age 84. The remaining outer planets (Neptune and Pluto) have much longer cycles and we would never live long enough to experience these returns. We can, however, experience sextiles, squares and some minor aspects from these planets to their natal positions. The outer planets move slowly and they are more connected with generations (affects many people at the same time). The main difference in their influence will be their alignment with other planets, their house positions and aspects to angles in the birth chart and through transit. This will be how they interact in our personal chart. The Uranus opposition is quite notable and because of this, we will touch on it here. The Uranus opposition occurs in and around the age of 42. Some individuals experience this opposition as early as 38 and others can have it as late as 44. This is known as the mid-life-crisis in layman’s terms. It speaks of a need to break free of anything that is restrictive and there is a strong desire to begin something new and unique. If you are going through a stressful period and you are between the ages of 28-30, 57-59 or 86-88, you are experiencing your Saturn’s return. Some individuals consider the influence of this aspect "irrational". What takes place comes from within and there is a strong need for change or even a revolution of sorts because life has become stagnant and no longer satisfies our need for growth. People have been known to pick up suddenly and change jobs or leave partnerships that have been in place for long periods of time. To some this may be completely out of sorts but to others not so unusual. Much depends on the rest of the chart by natal positioning. Uranus is the planet of unpredictability, and we can expect the unexpected in whatever areas of life (houses influence) are involved at the time. Things may take unusual turns and move in erratic manners. The events are often sudden and unexpected by those around the people involved. The main purpose of this timing factor in our lives is connected to the soul's need for growth and sometimes new experiences will be just what is needed. It is best not to worry about life situations as our attitudes always have a big hand in what unfolds. Expect some change under this influence and always know that these changes are put in place for our greater good, no matter how things look under the aspect's influence. - Saturn's Return
Saturn's Return SATURN'S RETURN Saturn takes approximately 29 years to complete one full cycle around the Sun. Saturn has a profound impact in our lives. It produces situations that can be stressful (if we so allow) and presents us with lessons whenever it (Saturn) becomes activated in our charts. Saturn is the teacher and it presents us with a crossroad in our development. We are forced to take a good look at our lives and we should make any needed changes when Saturn suggests it. These times can be very trying and can last a significant period of time, especially if there are other planetary forces at work during the same period. We have touched on houses and their energies. Depending on which house Saturn is located in within your birth chart and what aspects it is making to other planets, these particular areas of life (houses) will become activated. The intensity and duration depends largely on the other planets that are stimulating the area, how long they transit and what aspects (aspects are angles between planets) they make to each other. Saturn can also have a lasting effect if, for example, it goes into its retrograde cycle while making an aspect in the natal chart. If you are going through a stressful period and you are between the ages of 28-30, 57-59 or 86-88, you are experiencing your Saturn’s return. At Holm Astrology, we go deep into your Astrology Chart to look at how Saturn’s return period is or will affect you. We can assist with an understanding of the lessons being tabled by locating Saturn’s position in your chart and its natal aspects, its transiting aspects and the duration of its influence. Armed with this information, you can better understand the lessons at hand and utilize the energies available. When Saturn has completed its cycle, you can be certain that a new person will emerged with a greater understanding of self and experiences (now behind you) that should have been well learned. Also Saturn will usually offer a more stable and secure structure to your life as it settles in after its initial impact of returning to its birth position. - Chiron
Chiron Chiron Chiron is a comet that was discovered in 1977. It has an orbit that oscillates between Saturn and Uranus and actually crosses orbits. In Astrology, Chiron seeks out enlightenment through affirmation of its ability to heal wounds especially those wounds of others. They say that the internal wounds formed in early life, such as self-worth and insufficiencies, are carried forward into adulthood and that these wounds are particularly hard to overcome and heal. Through these internal struggles and the lessons that they teach, we are able to help others often before we can help ourselves. As Chiron swings between the orbits of Saturn and Uranus, Chiron can bring with it enlightenment and new avenues of expression by exploring competent and reliable information often learned through life’s experience. There is a need to rise above the original wound even though it can be very deep and can require much work to find new directions or alternatives that assist in moving beyond the injury and rising above the issue. The sign and house position of Chiron show what area of life is involved and the character traits of the wound. In many cases, this is thought of as a spiritual wound and it also shows where we have great healing potential that can help others who have experienced similar wounds in their lives. In order to heal ourselves, we have to face the issues, and we will need to work tirelessly to overcome the effects these wounds have on us. It is said that the first house positioning of Chiron is the most challenging, perhaps due to the personal nature of the wound, as the first house represents us personally. In most cases, the healing powers that individuals develop during their lives are very powerful. Many with a challenged Chiron become doctors, psychologists and healers including modern day techniques such as reiki, hypnosis, etc. Chiron’s energies do not necessarily have to be overly negative, as hard work often produces great results. As we learn to overcome deep-seated challenging conditions, we gain internal strength and learn valuable lessons. The house placement will often define where we have reoccurring difficulties and there is an urgency to repair these concepts and believed notions in order to move beyond the hurt. We are able to heal ourselves but not without hard work and a very disciplined approach. Sometimes the healing comes in sporadic moments of enlightenment or happens when we are not expecting it, but a rational and an honest approach will often work quite well. On some level, our Chiron’s placement by sign and house position is indicative of the ability to heal human kind, and this is not to say that it will be on a grand scale, although we cannot rule this out. We can all certainly help others. We will, however, need to heal ourselves before we can do work with helping others. The issues/injury we speak of in connection with Chiron often are a big part of our life’s story and most of us unfortunately hold on to these wounds for many years. Some individuals will be unable to integrate the healing requirements due to self-doubt and preconceived notions. If we recognize that, in most cases, we are the ones holding ourselves back. We CAN make great strides in overcoming our adversities. Comets, Astroids, Etc. Ceres Juno Astrology 101
- Neptune Retrograde
Neptune Retrograde The outer planets remain in retrograde for longer periods than the inner planets. Those that have Neptune in retrograde in their birth charts will certainly be affected. Those that have Neptune stationary in their birth chart will be even more powerfully affected. “Powerfully” may not be the appropriate word as Neptune’s energies operate in very subtle ways. Its influences are felt often through intuitive channels and the unconscious mind. In direct motion, Neptune often suggests cloudiness with our reasoning, potential deception or we may not be facing facts. In its higher representation is suggests idealism. It also could suggest a romantic involvement often associated with an idealistic view of the partner or situation. It is also linked to artistic abilities coming to the surface. Neptune is linked with fantasy and visions while in direct motion, but its energies turn to reality and dealing with the actual facts when in retrograde. Open-heartedness and level-headedness linked to common sense are terms that could also be associated with Neptune’s retrograde cycle energy. Since Neptune deals primarily with the mystical and spiritual side of our consciousness, during the time when Neptune is retrograde, you may find that you realize more concrete solutions or answers to questions pertaining to these pursuits. This applies particularly to those with Neptune retrograde in their birth charts. Look to see which house Neptune is transiting through during this cycle and also look where Neptune is located in your birth chart. Neptune’s retrograde cycle is approximately 150 days in length, and it spends about 14 years in each sign. Its return cycle is approximately 165 years, so we never experience its return in our lives. About 40 percent of people have Neptune retrograde in their birth charts. As a result, Neptune’s retrograde energies are quite common. When Neptune is in its direct cycle, there can be a cloudiness about life, depending on how it is aspected in the birth chart. There may be deception and deceit or often illusion and disarray when it comes to seeing things as they are. When Neptune turns retrograde, it becomes more genuine and more lifelike as Neptune can be illusionary when direct. It is more reliable and life becomes more real although what you see, at times, may not be all that pleasant. There can be a real feeling of let-down after a period of feelings of idealism and wonder but the truth is what we want, regardless of how it may look. Because of Neptune’s influence, when we view the world as it is, a part of us still wants to see it through rose coloured glasses. There is the unrealistic hope under this retrograde influence that what we see might just vanish; but it will not, and we have to face facts Life becomes more practical and realistic with the retrograde cycle, and this can also include “visions” that are real. This can also include mystical understanding that is also real and identifiable. Neptune retrograde is not a bad thing but it is truth in a broad scope. - Imum coeli-or-ic | holmastrology.com
IMUM COELI OR IC The Imum Coeli more commonly known as the IC is usually found on the fourth house cusp (depending on the house system used by the Astrologer). In the equal house system, it can also be found in the second, third and fifth houses, which will alter the influence of its meaning. In most house systems, the IC is found on the cusp of the fourth house indicating a parent, arguably either parent, but in this Astrologer’s opinion, it involves the more submissive, mothering, caring parent.) The fourth house cusp or IC also deals with the home, the family and your roots. It is known as the basis or foundation of our life and although this area of the chart is considered quite private, it still has a dominant affect in our lives, especially when transiting planets make aspects to this area. It should also be understood that this highly influential area while in aspect will not only affect our home and family (fourth house matters), but will also affect the opposite end of the spectrum, the MC (10th house matters). Transits to either of these areas of the Chart will affect the opposite ends of the Chart. So when the home and family are being affected in our lives and security wavers, it may be due to demands from the MC, which deals with one’s status, occupation and ambitions. When either the IC or the MC is receiving a conjunction from a transiting or progressed planet or a luminary (the sun or moon), the opposite will be receiving an opposition. When one of the IC or the MC is receiving a square from a planet or luminary, the other will also be receiving a square. When one is receiving a trine, the other will be receiving a sextile. Hence the impact of a transiting planet or progressed planet will affect both areas of the Astrology chart. The IC describe our most personal needs, as it is connected to the natural sign ruling the fourth house, which is Cancer, ruled by the Moon. As a result, it defines emotional needs, nurturing characteristics, and our attitude towards family. It will be colored by the sign ruling the fourth house cusp, as well as any planetary links found within the fourth house, particularly when a planet is conjunct within 2 degrees of the cusp on either side. A planet or luminary within four degrees in the third house will also affect the IC. If, for example, Uranus were conjuncting the IC, it would be in opposition to the MC. We could, as a result, expect changes sometimes drastic in nature to the home and family, such as a move and influences in our occupation and status in life. These changes could be of a rather sudden nature and a need for freedom and breaking free in order to create change would be on the agenda. Much would depend on the overall conditions of Uranus in the birth chart and its location by house and sign. The IC and MC, particularly in early life, depict incidents linked to the parents which in turn will affect the child. This parental influence on a child shifts as we mature. The influence widens in such a way that we are no longer just influenced by the parents that dictate our lives, but we are also now affected by an extended version of the family and our place in the overall structures of life. Much emphasis is given to the MC and the Ascendant in an Astrology chart. We also, however, have to consider the IC and the DC when deciphering what impact planetary movement will have in our lives. - Planets in Retrograde
Planets in Retrograde Planets in Retrograde All the planets except the Sun and Moon go into retrograde motion. Retrograde suggests that the energies of the planets are not in full expression or allowed freedom of expression. The energies are stifled in some way. In some cases, we can wait for the energies (Planets) to go direct before taking action. In the case of the outer planets however, the retrograde cycle is so long that it would serve little purpose to wait for the energies to go direct. Saturn is the only exception to the rule. When Saturn is in retrograde motion, its positive energies are released. So stability and structure are enhanced and lessons, delays and obstructions are not as readily in place. We really don’t know where we are headed, yet we can always hold our heads high and make our way through the currents of change presented to us daily. Life moves us along with or without our approval. We juggle our objectives and set courses for the road ahead without really knowing where that road might take us. Our objectives are likely feasible and attainable, yet it is okay to reach for higher goals as the higher we aim the higher we can reach. You may question what is the purpose for striving to achieve or to pushi ahead in life. After all, life is uncertain. It is human nature to need goals and objectives to strive for as it gives us tangible purpose. We learn perseverance in dealing with the different climates life presents us with and need to be adaptable as we coming to terms with where life is taking us. We find solace in those that provide support and tell us to hang on. We maneuver our way forward and we learn to listen to the advice of our inner voice and those who care about us. We will learn to walk with our heads high through difficulties and we gain immensely through adversity. There certainly will be times when life smiles at us and we must remind ourselves to relax and enjoy these times. Life is a continual lesson, a continual current of change. We have gained inner strength particularly in the darkest moments. This is a test of resilience. A test of faith in others and ourselves. Count your blessings and acknowledge your accomplishments. Believe in yourself. Listen to advice and know that you are never alone. You can depend on life teaching you whatever you need to know and then moving you in the right direction, always! #astrology #HolmAstrology #astrologer #spirituality #themoment #spiritualjourney #schooloflife #psychic #Medium #innerstrength #adversity #lifestruggles #learning #growth #resilience #obstacles #inthemoment #newblogpost Holm Astrology not only offers Astrology charts but also offers individual intuitive readings or group parties. The timing usually lasts about 6 to 8 weeks depending on whether Jupiter moves into its retrograde cycle. Transiting Jupiter Sextile Natal Mars Currently (August 2024) Transiting Jupiter will move into retrograde on October 8, 2024, and it will be at 21° in the sign of Gemini. Its stationary period is about one day. This stationary period is very intense for those who have a planet at this degree, especially those that have major aspects within 1-3° direct from the natal chart to this position. Jupiter’s influence, while in retrograde, will last many months and those affected will feel its intensity when it crosses the degrees of influence in their personal natal chart. We are discussing the sextile in this post, but the trine is also similar to the effects of the sextile, and both are energies we hope and wait for. The sextile implies opportunities that will be presented and that we need to act to take advantage of. The sextile is a positive aspect and indicates openings and prospects for when things might flow in a more constructive manner. Jupiter is the most opportunistic planet in Astrology. Jupiter provides growth, expansion, good luck, rewarding experiences and allows things to move forward. When applied to challenging situations like someone experiencing a fatal disease or illness with no prospect of recovery, it can also indicate the ending of situations pushing things ahead so that no further suffering takes place. With Transiting Jupiter Sextile Mars, we have a great push to advance in some manner, depending on the houses involved in our chart. The houses are areas of life, and this will be where these energies are initiated. Wherever Mars is located in the Natal Chart, this will be the area which offers opportunities for growth and expansion. If, for example, Mars is tied to the MC (midheaven), this will suggest that opportunities in abundance may lie within the scope of your career or ties in with your objectives and path in life. Your status may change and this flows in a smoother manner. With the sextile, however, you must take advantage of the energies at hand, or they may not manifest in the manner that they could if you were to push for results. If Jupiter is travelling through your 11th house and it makes a Sextile to your Mars/MC’s position, you may receive help from groups or from friends to make things happen. If Jupiter is travelling through the 12th house and still making this sextile to your Mars/MC, assistance may come from unknown sources, or you may receive help from the subconscious or other realms of influence. This may be hidden from you or perhaps you do not know about this energy or where it has come from. Transiting Jupiter Sextile Natal Mars is an aspect of great expansive, beneficial energy. It is an energy, however, that you must work with. The benefit will not simply fall in your lap. Take advantage if this transit is affecting your chart. A professional Astrologer can help you understand the potential with this aspect and other aspects forming angles within the natal chart. #astrology #HolmAstrology #astrologyposts #astrologer #astrologersofinstagram #astroworld #zodiacsigns #psychic #OracleReadings #transits #aspects #sextile #JupiterSextileMars #expansion #opportunity #push #energy #newblogpost Holm Astrology not only offers Astrology charts but also offers individual intuitive readings or group parties. We have achieved heights we never thought were possible and gained inner strength and resilience. PERSISTENCE PAYS DIVIDENDS For those overwhelmed by their current journey, we still say, “never give up”. Persistence pays dividends. Fight through any adversity. Make your way forward one step at a time and find a resolution or a path around whatever stands in your way.
