We will focus on Transiting Pluto Opposition Natal Saturn. T Pluto is about transformation and in some cases revolution which speaks highly of the upcoming change from Pluto in Capricorn to its eventual placement in Aquarius. Pluto in general insists that those influenced by its energies have a close, deeper look inside, be honest in this review and make appropriate changes where needed. Pluto can instigate power struggles and ego disputes, but it calls for change at its deepest levels. In Aquarius, Pluto would hope that mankind begins change with humanitarian concerns especially at the moment (November 2023). It may touch on revolutionary response to the wars and the humanitarian needs and hopefully bring about peace talks although any transformation comes with some resistance, and we can expect some turmoil before resolution can be found. When it comes to an opposition from T Pluto to N Saturn (which some will be experiencing at this time), we can expect that there will be some resistance to the changes taking hold in their lives. Saturn wants to hold on to tradition or situations even when they are outdated. It has great perseverance and determination although Pluto is even more determined and certainly has the insistence that we meet whatever demands are currently required to make the necessary changes. Change is apparent for those affected. Even if there is resistance, major alternation will be made. Pluto will overpower Saturn. Those influenced by these energies and having any authority may be swayed by others to make the required changes and they can take a leading role in moving ahead. There will be power struggles, but changes need to be implemented whether this is for the greater good or if they are of a personal nature (as indicated in your chart). How do you present yourself to the public? Do you project confidence? Perhaps you are a gentle individual who does not like strife or aggression. We will be experiencing a New Moon in the sign of Scorpio @ 20° on November 13 @ 4:27 EST. This New Moon is highlighted by its opposition to Uranus and its conjunction with Mars. Transiting Mars and Transiting Uranus are in tight opposition to one another. This Scorpio New Moon sets the stage for new beginnings often associated with occult energies (due to its placement in Scorpio). All water New Moons are “feeling” focused but this positioning of the Moon being in the third decant suggests that not only is there the influences of Scorpio, but there is also a connections to Cancer. This proposes that the family might be involved as well. There is intensity and the potential for power struggles because of the tight connection with Mars. Pluto rules Scorpio, and Pluto and Mars together can indicate quite the power struggle. There will likely be no halfway measures associated with this connection. The opposition from Uranus suggests that we expect the unexpected and that change may be part of the process. Also, an awakening on some level has great potential for unfolding. There may be sexual overtones connected with this New Moon’s placement. Don’t forget this is the start of something that will reach maturity, or a culmination point in about six months from now when we have the Full Moon in Scorpio. Change can be disruptive and take place when you least expect it. There may be something about what unfolds that is unexpected and it pushes us in new directions. This is likely to be a deep psychological time when we are asked to reach deep below the surface to uncover anything that has not been dealt with properly. So, you have been working very hard to achieve your goals, but they are not working out the way you had hoped. Perseverance and patience are hard lessons but they lead to growth and expansion. The Natal Ascendant and its aspects clearly defines the way we represent ourselves especially when we first meet the general public. Much information can be gained when looking at the sign and aspects from other planets as to this angle. The transits of planets over the Natal Ascendant are quite remarkable and distinguishing. We cannot ignore the changes that take place on these occasions. Each planet will have its own definitive expressions and the outer planets carry with them the most significant emphasis on your life and behavior. Today we are focusing on Transiting Pluto trine the Natal Ascendant. Do you have the tenacity to just keep going no matter what you face or do you lack determination and drive? In reality, giving up on living is not an option if we want to live life. We can and must learn each lesson that is in front of us. It does take determination, but we cannot allow the pressures of life to rob us of the right to live. There are many events in life where we do not have a choice if we learn the lesson or not. Some events may not have a resolution (that fits into our idea of a positive outcome). We wage wars sometimes and the battles cannot be won. Resistance to change is futile. That is when we can adjust simply by changing our outlook on the change. Letting go is not giving up. There are times when letting go is the intelligent route to take. Holding on can create stress and disease and we generally hold on because of a mental concept we are also holding on to or we simply fear the unknown. Our mental attitude can be our own worst enemy. Persistence and drive or allowing events to unfold are choices that we must make. Although the road ahead may seems bleak, we do not know what is on the other side of a life lesson. There are times when we seem to have to reach bottom and nothing more could possibly go wrong. We feel deflated and overwhelmed (but isn’t this when we stop resisting?). We are focusing on Transiting Pluto Square Natal Saturn in this post. For those individuals with Transiting Pluto (which will soon enter Aquarius) squaring their natal Saturn this will be a time of transformation and change in life. Saturn moves through each sign over a period of approximately 2 ½ years. This suggests that those experiencing T Pluto square to their Natal Saturn would have to have their Saturn either in the late degrees Libra or early degrees Scorpio or Natal Saturn in the late degrees of Aries to the early degrees Taurus in their birth charts. Saturn would have been either in Scorpio beginning 1953, 1982, or 2012 or in Taurus beginning 1969 or 1999. Pluto will be affecting these individuals for approximately 1 to 5 years depending on where their Natal Saturn is located. Much will depend on the houses involved (areas of life) and the natal positioning of Saturn in their charts (challenging or favourable aspects to Saturn). There are no halfway measures about Pluto as it transits through the birth chart. It brings an end to outdated conditions that no longer serve a purpose and brings to birth something much more suitable to life’s current conditions. There will likely be quite a struggle for those experiencing this square in their charts, as Saturn enjoys what is familiar and does not like change or disruption to the norm. There may be restrictions and delays to the inevitable but over time (and this could take as much as 1-3 or 4 years for things to be understood and accepted) life will transform to a great degree. Security might be part of the process and perhaps what we have been aiming towards and working diligently to obtain might be what this is about. Life structures will change and if Saturn in the birth chart is poorly aspected this will likely not be a pleasing time. There could be some difficulty moving out of what is comfortable into the new. This may not be clear in the present moment, especially if Neptune is part of the profile somehow. Pluto will instigate change and often through rather dynamic ways. There may be issues with authority or ego disputes. Control and power issues will likely be part of what unfolds over time. There will be concerns about what this new turn of events will bring but Pluto moves you where you need to go. It opens the door for growth through underlying events or energies that push us in certain directions. What was stable and secure now needs revamping or completely overhauling. After this timeframe is over, what was in place will no longer be part of the picture moving forward. In most cases, it is best to go with the flow and not to fight what is inevitable. We are focusing on Transiting Pluto square natal Jupiter. T Pluto moves very slowly through the Zodiac, about 1° per year. Its impact is therefore quite significant as it will be in place for 3-5 years with its major aspect lasting at least one year. The outer planets are important because of their slow movement over positions in the natal chart. Pluto is about transformation and regeneration and often produces some type of power struggle as changes take place. We might want to fight its energies, but in many cases, it is futile to attempt to control Pluto’s driving force. It is like swimming upstream when we know that sooner or later the current will take us downstream which is actually where we need to go. Pluto will bring up anything that needs to surface and often makes us deal with parts of ourselves or life conditions that may not be overly pleasant or may be challenging to deal with. As with all the outer planets, especially Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, their energies are in place because we are at a point in time where we are ready for some type of advancement or awakening to take place. Transformations are at hand. Jupiter is known as the greater benefic and often creates potential for growth, good fortune, advantageous situations and in general good luck and opportunities. In some cases, Jupiter, because of its expansive nature, can bring an end to situations that have been tormenting or in some cases brings an end to suffering. Much will depend on the houses connected to the positions of N Jupiter, T Pluto and the Natal positioning and aspects to Pluto. The Square aspect is often a sign of struggle and obstacles to be overcome. The aspect creates tension and adversity which must be dealt with. It is a positive tool as, due to the strength of the challenge in place, we often feel we must deal with the challenge in our own appropriate manner. As a result, the square is a push to resolve issues. E.g. If T Pluto was moving through your second house which involves finances and security measures, Jupiter which would be in say the fifth house, could suggest that there are issues pertaining to your children or perhaps a creative outlet now needs financial support. Because the fifth house also deals with romantic involvement, perhaps there needs to be some financial aid in place or perhaps this needs to be addressed on some level (because of the link with security and finances from second house). The rest of the chart will have to be taken into consideration before a complete conclusion can be reached. Most likely, some transformation is in place and undoubtedly in a big way that will make you delve beneath the surface and deal with whatever hurdle has surfaced. This is an opportunity to see things as they are and make the necessary changes that need to be made. There is nothing halfway about these energies. The transiting Nodes take 18 months to move through all of the signs of the zodiac. Depending on the astrological house system you are using, it will take approximately 1 ½ months to move through a house or sign. As houses depict areas of life, the nodes moving through a house will define areas of life where we are gaining knowledge. We get a deeper understanding of the areas of life governed by the house position of the nodes. Remember that there are two nodes; a North and South node and they are always in opposition (opposite) to one another so both houses will be affected by our nodes. The Nodes are attached to our soul’s mission and we have come to experience life more fully in each area of life that the nodes are influencing. In general we are here to serve on one level or another and although the Nodes definitely teach us valuable lessons in life, once learned and understood, we can offer up information and assistance to those that are interested to assist them in whatever way we can. The nodes are tied to our destiny so when we are experiencing our nodes in action, stimulated through house contact and planetary links, we have obligations to uphold. Remember we came into this life to fulfill our life’s goals which are closely linked to the nodal positions at birth. We have to give a little of ourselves in order to complete our soul’s requirements, as we have much to offer. Remember your higher connection to yourself from a spiritual standpoint and the earthly measures we take in order to get one step closer to our higher purpose. We have come to serve a purpose and to learn lessons through experience and to add to the greater whole. We are at the helm of our experiences but often when the nodes are under hard aspect, or activated through transit, we may feel as though we are at the mercy of life’s events and life seems to have control over us. This is when we have to use our inner guidance, our spirit guides, our astrology charts or those wise individuals that walk this journey with us to work through life’s events. Many times the overall plan behind our experiences may escape us consciously and we have to have faith in the process and recognize that there is something much bigger than what is obvious to us in human form. The North Node always pointing us towards our objectives. When the North Node is transiting a point in our chart, it asks us to go deep into our lesson. It asks us to think about what we might want to do or where we might want to address change or gain through experience. The North node operates in the same fashion as Jupiter, so it offers us opportunities and provides us with good luck and generally makes us happy and more content in our life’s search. The South Node acts in similar ways to the planet Saturn. The South Node wants us to pay attention to what can be learned through the potential rough spots that we may encounter along the way. It offers lessons and responsibilities and makes us aware of our liabilities and makes us work on these areas of life which are in focus and the energies of the planets that are being activated through this contact. Although we may have to sacrifice or let go of something, it also offers up chances for spiritual growth through these experiences and lessons well learned. This knowledge will be used as our lives progress. Remember to stay open to advice being offered from both nodes and use the energies of the North Node to facilitate growth in your life’s quest and use the energies and lessons of the South Node with caution and care but recognize the importance of what it is that is being said for your greater good. All aspects regardless of which aspect it is has something important to give.
