We are going to take a quick look at a couple of aspects that will affect Sun in Gemini this year. See our post on Sun in Geminin posted May 15 at https://www.holmastrology.com/post/sun-in-gemini-5 Aspects for Sun in Gemini 2025 Those Geminians with their Sun in the early degrees of Gemini will have several major aspects with the outer planets, some of which are already in place and others are to come.    On July 7, 2025, Uranus, although temporarily, will move into Gemini.  It stays in Gemini until November 8, 2025, then it returns to Taurus.  Uranus then again goes into Gemini April 26, 2026, and from that day forward for about 7 years remains in Gemini before it moves into the next sign, Cancer.   Transiting Uranus seeks change and sometimes in a rather dynamic fashion.  It is known as the awakener and does just that.  It clearly shows what needs revamping, what needs a new direction and what is required, often because what was in place no longer suits our evolutionary quest and our essential direction in life.   Uranus is quite unpredictable, and its action can be sudden and unexpected.  Quite often we get little hints that change is needed prior to its eventual demanding push, and we can make these moves if we so desire on our own. However, these changes will happen as they are not a request, they are a necessity. Change is required and these changes take place with or without our conscious consent as they are necessary for our continued growth.   When in aspect to the Sun, and especially by conjunction (the most powerful aspect of all the five major aspects), our goals in life and life’s direction are part of the unfolding.  On a deeper level even our essences is subject to concentrated focus and evaluation and some change is often a requirement.  Much of what transpires will depend on the placement of transiting Uranus, the natal Sun and Natal Uranus by house placement and aspect configuration within natal chart.   Transiting Pluto is already making a Trine to those Geminians with their Sun in the early degrees of Gemini.  Transiting Pluto currently (May 2025) is in retrograde at 3° in Aquarius.  As mentioned, Uranus speaks of change of direction and now Pluto speaks of disruption to the flow of things because a full change of direction is required.  There are no half measures about the actions of Pluto.  Pluto can be dynamic although often begins in a rather subtle manner opening doors that are now needing to be open.  Although both Uranus and Pluto speak of the need for change, Pluto being in Trine suggests that the shift of direction is likely very absolute and very productive and favorable.    If, for example, Pluto was either moving into the seventh house or already in the seventh house then the potential for a change in relationships of significance, usually the partner and is subject to moving in a different direction.  The relationship will undergo a transformation and regeneration if that is a requirement and then move forward in the direction that is most suitable for the individuals concerned.    The likelihood of the Sun, in this example, being in the third or fourth house is quite possible so not only will it affect the life path and inner regeneration, it will also have something to do with the home and family and communication techniques.  If in the third for example, then communication is highlighted especially in everyday affairs.  If in the fourth house, the home front and family or perhaps one of the parents being part of the conditions unfolding is likely.    There are other aspects in force for Sun in Gemini but this post will only touch on these influences.    Happy solar return Sun in Gemini! This post is dedicated to those that have an open mind when it comes to reincarnation and life after death.  This Return Trip Everyone, but especially those that are sure or have strong beliefs that we are not here for the first time, must take responsibility for our lives.  We have picked this life, to be with the people we are close to us, even those that seem to hinder us in some way. We have chosen this road and all that lies behind us and before us.   Yes, we have picked even the challenging situations, because they are valuable teachers.  We also know that our higher self, which some believe is the accumulation of all individuals we have been prior to this life, will only do what is best for our journey.  We may not understand the purpose behind some of the challenges we find ourselves facing but our higher self knows what we need to learn and how to advance our eternal growth through our experiences.   You may wonder why my spouse is so wonderful and what did I do to find such a perfect mate or alternatively you may question why would I have pick such an individual? They seem to challenge me at every turn.    What will I learn from our interaction?    How will I grow as an individual and how am I affecting those that surround me?    We interact with one another for reasons much greater than we might be aware.  There are deep connections with certain people that most likely we have shared experience with prior to this incarnation.  Our family and family of friends likely decided to join us again with our approval.  No matter how the relationship appears on the surface, we are linked together with total agreement.   Why have we met so many obstacles throughout our life, and experienced so many hardships and such sadness? Alternatively, we may ask why have we been swept away in such pure love and appreciation?    What are our Karmic implications, good or bad?   Why do we not know clearly why events have taken place?   Why can we not remember previous lives to understand more clearly why things happen the way they do?   So many questions yet too few answers.  Are our earthly minds capable of understanding the reasoning?   It is quite acceptable to go deep and question why we are here and what we have come to learn. This inquisitiveness will help us to dive much deeper into our earthly journey instead of riding the wave of life without purpose or meaning.   Go deep into the whys behind this return trip. On May 20, 2025, the Sun moves from the fixed, earth sign of Taurus into the mutable air sign of Gemini.    Those with their Sun cusping Taurus (born in the first 1-5° of Gemini) will have tendencies also linked to the sign of Taurus.  Those individuals with their Sun in the last degrees of Gemini will also have Cancer tendencies especially internally.  These are cusp degrees.   Sun in Gemini Gemini, as mentioned, is a Mutable sign and these individuals are changeable, able to adapt to almost any condition, sometimes quite moody with changing temperaments frequency and quite often restless needing constant variety in life.  They usually do not like to stand still or to be idle. Geminians tend to go with the flow rather than fight against the current.    Those with their Sun cusping Taurus still carry the same traits as the above-mentioned, but also have concerns about the finances, wish to move forward in the same direction rather than constantly changing direction, are more steadfast in their approach and more reliable.  Financial security is often more important for those with Taurus cusping than those with the Sun in the middle degrees of Gemini.  Decants must also be considered.   Those Geminians with their Sun cusping Cancer are more concerned with family affairs, are also more emotional than the typical Gemini. Sensitivity and the need to protect their family runs strong with the late degree Gemini individuals.  Decants again play a part with the later degree of Gemini.    The Sun sign of Gemini is an air sign suggesting these individuals are ruled by their mind and quite adept at conversation, unless Mercury is poorly aspected in the natal chart.    Mercury rules Gemini and most Gemini take an interest in learning.  Education is important in the schooling of the mind, whether through actual academic learning or the schooling of life.  Geminians like to know a little about a lot, but many tend to skim the surface. The planet Mercury has to do with our thinking process.  It also has to do with evaluation, speculation, integration and information.    The placement of Mercury in the Natal Astrology chart, by sign and house position along with natal aspects determines how your mind operates and how it deals with information, both favourable and challenging.  Regardless of how your Mercury is aspected in your natal chart, you have options as to how you wish to deal with life’s adversities and also how you wish to move forward when opportunity strikes.   The Transits of Mercury & Its Retrograde Motion As Mercury moves through the Zodiac, it forms aspects to all of your planets over a relatively short period of time, quite opposite from the movement of the slow outer planets.  Mercury is known as a neutral planet, suggesting that it needs stimulation from outside sources before it becomes activated.  A transit to your Natal Mercury is quite different in energy from an aspect by Transiting Mercury to your natal positions.   Transiting Mercury changes signs at least once every month unless it goes into retrograde.  Retrograde motion is when a planet appears to move backwards in the Zodiac.  Outer planets are in retrograde about half of the time through the year.  Mercury remains in retrograde for about three weeks at a time.  It can change signs while in retrograde motion, therefore moving over the same degree in your chart three times until it finally moves direct again and continues its forward motion.   Many individuals fear Mercury while in its retrograde cycle but this is a bit of a fallacy.  What Mercury suggests while in retrograde is that you review your current plans before actually moving forward with them.  Mercury retrograde is a time for studying and integrating and then moving ahead when Mercury moves out of retrograde and back into direct motion.  We are not saying stop your plans to do or buy something. We suggest caution, however, if you are signing documents as the outcome may not go as planned.  Some challenges may interrupt the flow of things.   It is also important to know that those with Mercury retrograde in their birth charts may have more issues when Mercury is in retrograde by transit.  It should also be noted that Mercury must affect a planetary position or angle in your natal chart by no more than 3-4° of orb for it to have any type of effect in your chart.    For example, if Mercury crosses your Sun in Gemini at 3° and your Mercury is retrograde in your birth chart, it will have an impact on your chart especially if Mercury conjuncts or is in opposition to this placement (the Sun in Gemini in our example).  Squares and Trines along with Sextiles have a lessor effect, and the energies will not be as bad as you might think they may be.    Those individuals that do not have Mercury retrograde in their natal charts may experience nothing more than a minor setback, if at all, during Mercury’s retrograde cycle.   As a side note, all planets except for Saturn while moving through their retrograde cycle do not operate at full capacity.  Saturn, however, seems to operate with far less restrictions while in retrograde than it would in direct motion.    The transits of Mercury & its retrograde motion are short lived as it moves quickly though the Zodiac. Mercury is neutral and needs stimulation. Use Mercury’s retrograde periods to plan and then act when Mercury goes direct. Part II   As mentioned on Monday, May 12, 2025, this is an astrology article which speaks of the outer planetary movement taking place now and in the near future.    As mentioned yesterday, Pluto has already made this change moving from Capricorn into Aquarius and in the next coming months Neptune will move from Pisces into Aries, Uranus will move from Taurus into Gemini and Saturn will move from Pisces to Aries.  Jupiter will also move from Gemini into Cancer while the inner planets (Mercury, Venus and Mars) continue in their movement from sign to sign on a much more rapid pace.   During this time frame (which is over a period of about one year), Pluto will be in Sextile to Neptune, and Saturn and Trine to Uranus.    Neptune will Conjunct Saturn, and Trine Uranus, and Saturn will also Sextile Pluto.    These are all favorable aspects coming into play and this should indicate a time when the world goes through some transformational energies which hopefully will be widely accepted, and change will begin to unfold in a positive manner.    We focused on Pluto and Neptune in yesterday and today we continue with Uranus and Saturn.   Outer Planets Are Indicating Big Change With Uranus moving into Gemini, which is a much more comfortable placement for Uranus being invigorating and pushes for the seeking of enlightenment. As a result of this transition into Gemini a door will be opening for us.  Clearer understanding is likely, as well as an awareness beyond what would be sought when Uranus was in Taurus.  Uranus ruled by Aquarius brings forth awakening energies which will push those in tune with their higher self and inner self. This should stimulate many others to awaken to the possibility of a newfound freedom that works equally for each and every one of us.   Saturn moving from Pisces to Aries will have similar effects of Neptune moving through Pisces. Neptune and Saturn will also connect by aspect and join forces beginning in May, 2025.  This should bring to the forefront proof, beyond reasonable doubt, that the mystical side of life is alive and well. There will, however, be a real push to make things practical and more credible perhaps embracing the understanding that there is much more to our existence than the everyday life of work, sleep and eat.   Hopefully these energies, working together in harmony, bring forth what is needed during these turbulent times. We likely will be able to begin focusing our helping mankind reach its potential as well as to clear up the unrest that our planet is currently experiencing.    Our combined expectations, our preconceived notion of what is possible, our belief structures and focuses and our efforts together create our reality.   The outer planets indicating a big change on the horizon are Pluto, Uranus, Neptune and Saturn. Utilize the energies and be open to the possibilities. Part I This is an astrology article which speaks of the outer planetary movement taking place in the near future.  We have divided it into two sections to keep each read a little shorter.   Outer Planets Indicating Big Change Pluto has already made this change moving from Capricorn into Aquarius and in the next coming months Neptune will move from Pisces into Aries, Uranus will move from Taurus into Gemini and Saturn will move from Pisces to Aries.  Jupiter will also move from Gemini into Cancer while the inner planets (Mercury, Venus and Mars) continue in their movement from sign to sign on a much more rapid pace.   During this time frame (which is over a period of about one year), Pluto will be in Sextile to Neptune, and Saturn and Trine to Uranus.    Neptune will Conjunct Saturn, and Trine Uranus, and Saturn will also Sextile Pluto.    These are all favorable aspects coming into play and this should indicate a time when the world goes through some transformational energies which hopefully will be widely accepted, and change will begin to unfold in a positive manner.    Pluto moving from Capricorn to Aquarius should prove very interesting, to say the least.  Hopefully humanity, as a whole, will go through a transformation and trigenerational process which brings things together.  Business has been a huge part of Pluto moving through Capricorn and now higher principles should be part of the process due to Aquarius’ influence.  There likely will be some struggles as we slowly move into the Aquarian energies because transitions are always difficult to adjust to, but with time, we should adjust nicely and a new world order should take hold. We become more of a worldly family which works together rather than being isolated.   Neptune moving through Pisces has been an enlightening era and now hopefully as Neptune begins its entry into Aries, we will push ahead with our own objectives which can be tied to Neptunian principles of the mystic, the intuitive side of life as well as brings forth the caring nature which has been promoted throughout the time Neptune was in Pisces.  Some individuals may feel a little lost, especially in the beginning as they may not be overly sure of what is workable and realistic. We will experience the energies of a Full Moon in Scorpio at 22° on May 12, 2025.   A full Moon is a time for releasing situations that no longer serve a sustainable purpose.  Things are no longer working, and it is time to purge in order that something new can be brought forward into life’s condition for the next new moon.   A Full Moon can also be a time to reap the rewards of the efforts you put into your goals since the New moon in the same sign as the Full moon some six months previously. In this case, the Scorpio new moon last October. The New moon is a time to plant a seed in life and the Full moon is the time to harvest the rewards of your hard work. The work that you have been doing over this period, depending on how much energy was applied, is now reaching a culmination point and you are ready for a change of direction.   Full Moon in Scorpio 2025 Sometimes this affects relationships of significance because there have been too many disputes or misunderstandings, and a resolution is now a requirement, for example.  The tension has been high and, because we are speaking about the energies of Scorpio, transformations are at hand and regeneration should be part of the process.  You want change, and this often requires you to go deep within, being honest about what now surfaces or what has been surfacing over the past few months.  You must face things as they are. You can’t expect others to change even if their input would be appropriate. This is your responsibility.   We are not suggesting that it is a one-way street. Both parties need to communicate and resolve any discrepancies that might be in place and embrace potential change.  The truth will surface, and it will involve the release of deep emotional connectedness as Scorpio runs deep when it comes to emotion but tends to keep too much inside.  Release is what this Full Moon required as do all Full Moon energies.    Again, this Full Moon in Scorpio, which is a fixed sign, is at 22°, and because Scorpio is so fixed, it may be hard to let down your guard and shift, but that is what is required.  We allow a 3° orb of influence to confirm if this position has any influence in your Natal Chart.  The Conjunction and Opposition are the strong aspects.    This positioning of the Full Moon in Scorpio at 22° is a little out of orb with transiting Uranus which is close to 27° in Opposition to this placement in Taurus. It does suggest, however, that the required change may come suddenly and unexpectedly and may cause disruption and some turmoil. Uranus, however, opens the door for change especially when things have either gone dormant or no longer work. Believe It Or Not For those that follow Holm Astrology’s astrological and “food-for-thought” articles, you might ask yourself if you agree with what is written at times.   Even if you question, you certainly are open to possibilities.   You may ask where this information comes from, especially some of the mystical topics we touch on.   Astrology itself is a science based on mathematics and has been handed down through the ages.  There is evidence that Astrology dates back to the 3rd millennium BC. I recently had a student of 7 years convey that he first came to class to disprove Astrology and obviously 7 years later he could not do that.   Our food for thought posts likely come from higher sources, although in this case some input from me is also quite apparent.  These posts stem from both personal and clients’ experiences shared over years and through my personal journey searching for truth.    The material does not solely come from me. I experimented once and asked the powers that be not to influence my writing. The result was less than ideal when I had finished the article. I openly invite higher sources to assist in my articles and when I am open the articles materialize within five to ten minutes at any time of the day or night.    What you read, process and accept is in your hands. The purpose of these articles is to awaken our readers and to plant seeds for us to look at things/life from different perspectives. With life’s journey, we want to provide food for thought and to reassure that if we are armed with the proper tools (and attitude) we can create a masterpiece.   Keep an open mind. As Transiting Saturn makes an Opposition to the North Node in our birth chart, it will also Conjunct our South Node.  The North and South Nodes are always exactly180° apart.    The South Node and Saturn are said to carry with them similar energies.  Both are considered malefic or non-desirable when it comes to their energy.  Transiting Saturn Opposition Natal North Node The Opposition to the North Node suggests that other people are often involved in what is taking hold in life.    The energies of Saturn in opposition to our natal North Node can have a lasting effect and can cause some concern because it appears as though someone is trying to stop your momentum forward.  You are being held back from moving in the direction that you want to go.  There can be obstructions along the way, twists and turns that you might not enjoy, and you will likely feel as though you are being tested by outside forces.    Things will finally start moving or flowing again once Saturn has moved out of orb. Unlike other transiting Planets, sometimes due to Saturn’s delay, its most powerful influence may be encountered when it is 2° past being direct.    For example, if the North Node is at 25° Pisces and Saturn is at 27° Virgo, this will be when these energies are at their peak.  Interestingly, transiting Saturn Mid-April and into May of 2025 is making contact within this suggested aspect, while both in transit.  So, if you have this influence also in your natal chart, this specific timing will be a very powerful in your life, and you will have to wait for these energies to clear.  Much will depend on the houses involved as this will define the areas of life involved.   Perhaps issues of the past may now be surfacing and although you would rather push them aside, this is the time to face them and review thoroughly and discreetly.  Do not try to avoid this as the time has come to deal with whatever this is indicating no matter how challenging it may seem.    There may also be issues related to the father or an authority figure in some cases. If this relates to an authority figure, it might also relate to your career or someone who has a hand in decision making.   If this is tied to the seventh house, for example, then the marriage partner might be part of what this is about.  Troubles in communication may be suggested if the location is within the third house of the chart.  Romantic or issues with authority with your children may be part of what this is about if your fifth house is involved, and so on.    Remember this one aspect, and by itself, it is not enough to ascertain a complete story of what is unfolding but it will provide you with some insight.  The whole picture needs to be evaluated with a look at the full chart.   Transiting Saturn opposition to natal North Node is a valuable yet difficult lesson. After these energies pass, you will feel great relief. Is it time to put your feet up?    A Brief Interlude It is important to let go and let loose a little.  There is a lot going on in the world right now with a degree of confusion and dismay. It can be unsettling when we are not sure where we are headed.  It might even feel as though it is a bit too much.  You are in need of some down time.   It can be hard not to get caught up in the uncertainty.  Our future might seem unclear. Life continually shifts with or without notice.  Sometimes it feels as though we are at the mercy of life.   These energies are powerful and if we become overwhelmed, our health can even be affected. The nervous system does not appreciate the abuse and the brain being on continual high alert. However, we have dealt with many storm up to this point in life. Prior to this time in your life and due to these lessons, we have gained strength just by dealing with them and knowing that we overcame the hurdles in front of us.  We are stronger than we sometimes acknowledge and are growing exponentially from these lessons as long as we do not own the events and we can see them strictly as lessons.   We must remind ourselves that these too will pass.  Everything in life has its time sequence. Everyone has lessons that feel like barriers, but we come out on the other side, wiser and stronger.    Intentionally make time to relax and do something you enjoy. Laugh and surround yourself with nature, music, friends…. anything that you appreciate deeply.   You will recover from this temporary experience.  You will learn much from these times of difficulty and become more equipped for your future because of them.   Stand tall in the face of adversity and know that it is temporary. Make time for a brief interlude. Live in the moment. Review your attitude. You will move forward, if you believe in yourself. The Sextile, which is considered a major aspect in astrology, can be given an orb of up to 10° of separation but becomes even more relevant when it is closer (this Astrologer uses a 7° orb of influence) to being direct.    In early February 2025, the sextile between transiting Uranus and Saturn was beginning to activate in our consciousness and within the world.    Transiting Uranus Sextile Transiting Saturn 2025 Uranus and Saturn in their individual nature are opposing forces.  Uranus represents change and often in sudden unexpected ways.  Saturn, on the other hand, represents stability, structure, discipline and restriction.  One planet’s energies bring required change while the other’s energy will resist change often due to concern because what is in place feels stable and reliable.    Uranus calls for revolution and brings in the new because what has been in place no longer works and has become stagnant. The energies have already served their purpose, and we are outgrowing them.  Uranus shakes the foundation, and Saturn resists and remains intent on staying on the current course.    One force must learn to adapt to the other force, and the opportunity, which is what is implied by the Sextile, must be implemented.  These two planets’ energies must find a compromise to work together in the most appropriate manner.  It is obvious that change is required but under what circumstances and how difficult will it be to maneuver forward?    Saturn must bend a little on what it holds true and comfortable, and Uranus must back off a little as well because too much of a shift is something that might be considered erratic and even dangerous.    When evaluating what this means in the overall world scene today, it suggests that a change is needed but radical and sudden manifestations do not work. This erratic energy will cause much chaos which not only affects everyone on some level or another but shakes the very foundation that things are built on.  The old order of things needs to change, but, at the same time, those energies in place that have been used can still be utilized during the transition, because experience has its importance when in the face of change.     People in positions of power need to reach out for assistance in moving forward from those with understanding of and experience with the new being integrated.  There cannot be dictatorships and there must be cooperation amongst those in positions of authority.   The house positions in your chart where these two giants are currently positioned, along with other factors (natal position of planets and aspects), including other transits affecting your personal chart, need to be all taken into consideration to arrive at a viable conclusion.   The energies we are focused on were powerful especially in March and April, particularly so in the last few days of March into the first two weeks of April 2025.  These energies will be backing off somewhat now, getting weaker but still in force until late September through until early December of 2025.  The energies will become strong again at the end of 2025 and early 2026, finalizing their influence at the end of March into early April 2026.   Transiting Uranus and Transiting Saturn in sextile 2025 will bring about opportunity to replace the old ways that no longer work. Uranus must slow down a little and Saturn must allow a forward change.
