Our Decisions We make many decisions daily!  Even when it feels as though others are dictating our path, we always make the final choice.  We cannot blame others if the direction we choose results from someone else’s influence.  They may impact us, but we always make the final decision.   It is extreme important to weigh out all the pros and cons before committing ourselves to anything but once we have made our decision, we must step forward. Uranus Opposition Natal MC When Uranus makes an Opposition to your MC (Midheaven) it also Conjuncts your IC (Imum Coeli).  The Conjunction to the IC being the more powerful aspect of the two suggests that changes are in place when it come to the home and family.  The home itself may be going through changes, perhaps there are redecorating plans underway, renovations or you may be in the middle of moving to a new location.   Because you might be moving perhaps you are downsizing as children have moved on or you are trying to accommodate a senior member of the family. If the fifth house is also being activated perhaps one of your children is entering college or university.  Perhaps your parents have been living with you and now because of safety or health issues you may be placing them in assisted living. The list of possibilities will be indicated by all influences to this aspect.   This aspect may also be affecting your job.  Perhaps because you are moving into a new area, you may have changed jobs perhaps you have now moved closer to your job.  Oppositions usually involve other people so perhaps your spouse must make these changes and this is affecting your career.    Changes are in place in the workplace, and your job is being directly affected. Pluto Square Natal Nodes Pluto square the natal Nodes (north and/or south nodes) suggests that there are power struggles when it comes to moving in the direction of choice.  There is the possibility that you are now entering a new path in life although it will be linked to what the North Node’s energies suggests which is defined by its sign and house position.  This new route may not be a comfortable one, but over time, you will realize that it is the correct path (again linked to the North Nodes sign and house position in your Natal chart).    The path of the North Node can be challenging as, again, it is unfamiliar.  The North Node is your destiny so it is best to go with the flow rather than fight against the current of change.  Leave behind what no longer serves a viable purpose and move forward with an understanding that you will be moving in the direction required during this life.   In some cases, however, the path being currently taken is not your destined path. Other individuals may be influencing your decisions. You must make certain that the choices you are making are not because someone else suggested that that this would be the best route to take for you.  Square aspects indicate obstacles to overcome and challenges to be met.   Because the Nodes are always exactly opposite one another, Pluto Square the North Node will also be Square the South Node. This will create a T-Square.  Wherever Transiting Pluto is in your Natal Chart, the energies represented by the opposing house will be an area of life that requires your focus.  The T-Square is similar to a chair missing its fourth leg.  It is out of balance and requires your attention where the fourth leg should be located so that you can create the balance needed.   Pluto is a dynamic planet, and while in transit, Pluto can cause a corrosive interaction if you have a Natal Planet or Angle within a three-degree range Conjunct the position of Transiting Pluto.  If you have a planet or angle at the opposing position of Transiting Pluto, you will now have a Grand Square forming between the Transiting Nodes, Transiting Pluto and your positioning interchange at the Opposition to Pluto.  This aspect can be very challenging. Life fluxes. At times, life just seems to fall into place and at other times, to the contrary, it seems to fall apart.  For some of us, instinctively we know when change is approaching.   We may be quite content and comfortable with where life is taking us but then we feel a shift approaching. We may, however, not know what direction this shift may take.    Upsurge in Life Circumstances Change in life is guaranteed. All things are temporary (including change).  Do not make permanent changes because of temporary issues. Life will adjust and take a new direction.  Nothing stays the same.   Challenges and struggles can feel as though they have been going on forever, and we can become reluctant to believe that life will move forward.  It has been so long that we might question our abilities to see our way clear. We can even feel as though hope can just create disappointment.   Deep within, we know we have to take that step, even if it feels like taking a chance, to initiate change. Advance with caution but nonetheless, advance.   There are times that life will change with or without our permission. Acceptance can make the change far less challenging. As promised in our Aries Full Moon article on October 6, ( https://www.holmastrology.com/post/full-moon-in-aries-5 ), we would like to touch on a few very significant transits that will affect us all moving into 2026 and carrying forward for some time after that.    Noteworthy transits in 2026 The transits include Pluto and Uranus as well as Neptune and Saturn.    Transiting Uranus and Pluto will be making a Trine well into 2028.  Neptune and Saturn form Sextiles to these transiting planets. Saturn will move out of orb in the spring of 2026, while Neptune continues its Sextile influence with both Uranus and Pluto well into 2028. The sextile to Pluto will remain in place for many years.    Uranus stays in Gemini and Pluto stays in Aquarius while Neptune will remain in Aries over the period defined above.  Saturn is also in the sign of Aries but as mentioned moves out of orb in 2026.    These transits will affect many individuals during this time frame especially those with planets or points in the early degrees.  Any planet or angle close to these degrees by Conjunction, Opposition and Square will have a noticeable effect while those with planets or angles in Trine or Sextile will also feel the effects and under most conditions in a positive manner.    Both challenging and helpful aspects, if viewed from the right perspective, are influential and over time will be realized as positive in some manner. The more challenging aspects, however, will likely have a intense effect, at least during their intense periods when they are close to being direct.    Pluto and Uranus together forming Trines with one another in general indicate easy flow, opportunities and favorable conditions especially related to change, new beginnings and in many cases getting rid of things that no longer suit our evolutionary path as we move forward on our journey of life.   Uranus often speaks of upheaval and unexpected changes in sudden and unusual ways.    Pluto speaks of a turning point when issues are confronted and changes take hold which open the door for a new beginning. To begin anew, an ending of some sort must take place. This allows what needs to surface to have a chance to do so.  Both Uranus and Pluto are considered to be agents of enormous change, and we can expect some power struggles during the transition. In some cases, there will be resistance to change as Saturn and Neptune begin influencing as well.    All of these planets are in force at different periods strengthening in energy here and there.  Saturn resists change while Neptune often makes things uncertain.  However, both planets are in sextile to Pluto and Uranus suggesting that an opportunity is at hand.  Sextiles imply opportunities but also require us to make things happen.  Things may move along quite nicely for those with positive aspects in the natal chart applying these positions, but it is suggested that you do the work that is necessary to reap the rewards available at this time.   There may be a part of you that is uncertain about the path ahead under these influence, and you may worry about making mistakes, but as time unravels, you will note that this is exactly what was needed.    The natal chart must be comprehensively studied to get a clear overall picture of how these important transits will affect your life personally.  Remember although these outer planets often suggest that matters are predestined, it is always up to us how we want to deal with things which is absolute with our attitude.    Uranus and Pluto are both in Air signs suggesting that the mind can operate well under these conditions, and you can figure things out.  Neptune and Saturn are in fire signs and will help push you forward as they are action oriented. These latter two are also very personal in nature because they are in the sign of Aries.    These noteworthy transits in 2026 through to 2028 will affect each of us at one point or another. Are you ready?    Does it feel as though the timing is right?   If you are looking for something, the very act of searching can hold back the process.  It might not stop it entirely, but it will likely slow things down considerably.    We never truly know what lies ahead, yet we can feel as though things are about to move in a new direction.  What this direction may look like is unknown but set your intensions, do your due diligence and step forward.    How long it will take to fulfill your goals is yet to be determined.  It has taken you to this vary moment to get to where you are now. Full Moon in Aries Today, October 6, 2025, into early tomorrow morning, we will be having a Full Moon in the sign of Aries, at 14°.    The Sun and the Moon are always in Opposition when we are experiencing a Full Moon.  They are always in Conjunction when we experience a New Moon.   We use an orb of 3° when deciphering if any Transits are making aspects to the placement of the Full or New Moon.  In this particular case, there are no major aspects affecting this Lunar position.  There is, however, the Trine between Transiting Uranus and Transiting Pluto which are at 1° Aquarius and 1° Gemini respectively.  In turn, both outer planets are also making Sextiles to Saturn which is at 1° Aries and Neptune which is currently at 27° in the sign of Pisces.   A Full Moon often depicts the harvest time for plans or goals set forth during the New Moon about six months ago when the New Moon was in the same sign as the current Full Moon.  In this case it is Aries.  The fruits of your labour will depend on how much energy and dedication was put into your goals over this six period.  The astrological houses involved will define what areas of life are affected.  The Natal Planets or Natal Angles which are within the 3° range of this placement will also have an impact on your personal journey.   This Full Moon, being in the sign of Aries, suggests that what you initiated six months ago should have been very personal in nature.  The focus of the Aries New Moon would have been about your own needs and your own individual direction.  You had to look after your own interests which may not have coincided with what others wanted.   To assist in our explanation (and remember your astrological houses involved are important), we will give an example.  If, for example, the Aries New Moon was in the seventh house, it would most likely have involved a relationship of significance, like your partner.  It may also have had something to do with a business partnership, although not necessarily your partner in life.  This would have involved you personally and perhaps you had to make plans at that time with your needs having to come to the forefront.    Perhaps a divorce or separation, especially if Pluto or Uranus might have been involved, is what was initiated. Perhaps a new marriage was involved, if by chance Venus or the natal Moon might have been involved.    Now, at this time, these initiated events come to fruition under the Aries Full Moon.  Again, these are just ideas from the seventh house placement in our example, and it is imperative to take into consideration what the whole chart along with all transits involved are also representing.    The Full Moon in Aries now completed the Aries New Moon cycle and whatever was set in motion personally should now come to fruition. We meet many different individuals over the years.  Some individuals end up forming important relationships with us, others come and go.  Important relationships can last for years; some even a lifetime.  These relationships can be with marriage partners, parents, children, friends, co-workers, etc.    For those open to reincarnation, it is believed that these important individuals have been with us previously.  Some with clear insight can recall prior relationships or at the very least get glimpses of them.   Some relationships aren’t always easy to maintain.  It has been said that “nothing worthwhile comes easily”.   Significant Relationships For any relationship, we must persevere at times and learn the art of bending when we need to and conceding when appropriate.  Arguing about who is right often serves no purpose and is initiated by ego.   With individuals in some relationships we have many similar interests and yet other relationships we can be quite different from one another but nonetheless the relationship carries on.    Materials rewards seldom hold a relationship together, even though security is important. The bond must be much more than that.   If we have been together previously, it is likely a blessing that we have come together again.  We frequently learn the most valuable life lessons from those we become close with.  Love and affection are deep and, in some cases, they can be buried. From a deeper perspective, we come together to assist in our combined journey.  We grow together and help each other along.   Forgiveness is a huge part of lasting significant relationships as there are times when we can feel mistreated. Communication is key and so is compassion and forgiveness (a short memory for past events is also helpful). We are all human and prone to make mistakes.   Wrap your heart around significant relationships. Some may not be easy ones, but most are worth the effort.  The more challenging relationships are the ones that we learn the most from although those that are loving and affectionate also teach us lessons too.    Life is a mystery. Neptune Opposition Natal MC When Neptune, through transit, is in Opposition to your MC (Midheaven), it will also be Conjunct your IC (Imum Coeli).  The Conjunction to the IC is more significant than the Opposition to the MC.  When Neptune makes a Conjunction to your IC which has to do with your home, the family and your heritage, the IC also has some affiliations with end-of-life conditions.   Neptune’s behavior is linked to mysticism, the psychic realms and, when afflicted, it can speak of confusion and disorientation.    When Neptune Conjuncts your IC, there is an emphasis on the home and family, in particular.  If a family member (the IC and MC also relate to your mother and father) particularly the most nurturing parent has been ill for some time and they are nearing the next phase of their soul’s evolution, then, depending on the rest of the chart, this aspect may be suggesting their passing. You would have to check the chart of the parent involved to see how their fourth house is delineated.    There may be some confusion about this parent, and you may be experiencing vivid dreams, if you are so inclined, about the outcome of the situation.  If this speaks about the home, perhaps things at home and in particular the home front itself is reflective of life’s situations.  Have things become very challenging at home, and do you need to examine what needs to adjusted with the family or with the physical home itself?    When Transiting Neptune is in Opposition to the MC, there is a need for clarity with life’s journey, particularly related to your occupation or your goals in life.  Is the situation around the home or with the family playing havoc with your career?    Does one of these aspects of your life seem to need your attention more than the other and if so, what might you need to do to create a balance if that is what is needed?   This can be a challenging position but intuitively you may know what is needed to correct and move forward.  You might have to ask others when it comes to your career options or perhaps others are interfering with what is taking hold with your occupation due to the opposition aspect.    This issue is quite workable, but it will likely take some time. You will be aware as Neptune approaches its Conjunction with your IC.  Neptune moves very slowly at about 1°/year, so this whole process can easily take up to three year or longer to be resolved, depending on the exact position of your IC. This is as a result of Neptune going into retrograde each year and backtracking over your IC. Neptune will cross this position three times.  Neptune begins to lose its influence when it is about 2° past being direct.   Transiting Neptune opposition natal MC will push for clarity likely with your occupation. When you actually take notice of the tides of life making changes, life adjusts.  What seemed hopeless will now have more promise.  A shift is often minute in the beginning, but you sense the shift. You begin to feel different intuitively.   As you shift your attitude, you will feel more energy.  You begin to feel vitality; you feel a surge stemming from within.  You no longer feel lost and although it may have been a rough ride, you just know that the life lesson is coming to an end.    Shifting Times Usually these trying periods that happen prior to a shift (let’s call it the transition period) can feel as though they last a lifetime, with exceptions of course. As we have discussed previously, these transition periods are times for review, preparation and even rest.   When you utilize the transition period, you can experience the elation. Be grateful. In the recent past, we posted information transiting Saturn in Opposition to Natal Uranus. Here’s a link for your convenience.  Saturn Opposition Natal Pluto Today, we will focus on transiting Saturn’s Opposition Natal Pluto and will use Pluto in Libra as our example. This would affect Gen X and some early Millennials (1971 to 1984).  Pluto did slip back into Virgo and ahead into Scorpio temporarily during this time frame, however.  Check the ephemeris to confirm if your Pluto is in Libra.    The energy of Uranus often brings sudden and unexpected changes into our lives.  Pluto is similar but, in most cases, it is not so sudden in its nature, and the changes it brings are not unexpected.  Pluto often depicts a complete and total change, while Uranus suggests a change is needed but the change brought on by Uranus do not have to be a total change as it is with Pluto.  Pluto is much more dynamic in its expression and often creates turmoil and chaos while initiating the change that is required.  Change either by Uranus or Pluto is always requirement.   Pluto’s influence is often out of our hands, and we will need to learn to go with the flow rather than fight what is taking place in our lives.  With Saturn as part of the picture, Pluto says that what once was must now be in the rearview mirror. Change will take place no matter how much we fight the process.    Rarely will Pluto let things lie, unless the changes that are coming into force correlate on some level with what is already in place.  This is extremely rare and when Pluto is active, we must learn to adapt. It is important to acknowledge that this new path is not only necessary, but also mandatory.   If we use the same houses as examples as we did in our Saturn Opposition Natal Uranus post (Transiting Saturn in the first house and Natal Pluto in the seventh), we can expect almost with certainty that the relationship is not working as it is now.  In many cases, the recent struggles that are being experienced especially if Saturn is sitting on or just into the first house (meaning that Pluto is near the seventh house cusp), the challenge although certainly involving you is set in motion by the partner or someone related or impacted by the partner.  This is not to say that the relationship is destroyed, but it is most certainly in turmoil, and the issues need to be addressed.  Work needs to be done in an impactful manner.  Watch for disagreements and arguments, and in some cases violence.  The energies of Pluto are being impacted by Saturn, which can be quite destructive and painful to the ego.   There are no half measures about what is taking hold under this aspect but stay strong and persevere. This too will pass, and a new life situation is materializing as we work our way through some of the life lessons that are being presented. Remember, Saturn is the teacher but also the disciplinarian.  Saturn Opposition natal Pluto present hard times and events often out of our hands.
