INTERNAL REVIEW

It’s important to have a look at who we are from time to time.  These reviews often open doors to realizations and hidden matters.  Sometimes what comes to the surface is not all that pleasant, while at other times we are blessed with the realization that we are moving forward and growing exponentially. 

Have you taken the time to do a little self-study?

If so, what have you learned about yourself?

Internal Review

If you look deep enough, you will find that you have been making progress.  Just the fact that you are reviewing your life speaks about progress. 

If you like what you see, amplify these qualities or abilities and share them.

You may have to work hard to find any given piece of the puzzle but once you have mastered this piece, there are rewards.

How is your growth beneficial and what can you do to bring more of this forward into your life? 

How has it built you into the person you are now and what path will now open because of the steps you have taken?

Always be honest with yourself.  No matter what you find, do something about or with it.  There is a reason that this has surfaced. Realize that it might be time to use what has surfaced or pass on the information so that others can benefit from it as well. 

Enjoy your progress after your internal review. Don’t limit yourself. There is always more to do.  Find your natural skills, use the path forward and advance. You are your only hurdle.

How are your living conditions?

Living Conditions

Different parts of our world are living under very dramatic conditions.  There are uncontrolled wildfires, droughts and famine, war and oppression. There are extreme weather conditions. There are many other influences taking hold in people’s lives, some of their own making, and some strictly from outside influences.

Perhaps it’s time we have a little closer look at our own lives!  We become so accustomed to our conditions that we can take them for granted and even complain about the good in our lives. Perhaps, we could stop complaining and put what is happening in our own lives into perspective. In many cases, those of us reading this article have it far better than most others in our world.  Some in our own community do not have a roof over their heads or steady food in their bellies, and as mentioned, this could unknowingly be our neighbours.

Compare your living conditions to others living in our world. Perhaps we can pay more attention to the good in our lives and acknowledge that in many cases our complaints are minor, and we live a good life.

Look around you.  Can you help? 

IT IS TIME to be grateful.  It is time to take a closer look.  When we put our circumstances into perspective, we may realize our lives are not as bad as our mind makes them out to be.  Life is full of little miracles. We should put this into focus and see what is right in front of us.

So, let me ask again; how are your living conditions?

REFUSE TO COMPROMISE

Once you have done your due diligence, follow through with commitment and refuse to compromise.  As the saying goes, “Stick to One’s Guns”! 

We often make resolutions at the beginning of a New Year but few of us actually carry through.  We make a decision, but something comes along, and it just seems too difficult to continue, or we get sidetracked.

Refuse to Compromise

There are many excuses from “It’s too hard”, “I will surly fail”, “It’s not how I hoped it would be”, “it doesn’t really matter”, “I don’t have a problem”, and the list goes on and on.  More often than not, there are roadblocks to success, but most of these roadblocks stem from our mind. Our mind manufactures the excuse, and we follow blindly.

The resolution (or call it whatever you like) must be attainable, and you have to weigh this out in the planning process. You push yourself in the beginning but when the going gets tough, you give up. Is this laziness?

In reality, you hold yourself back by accepting the mind’s excuses (better known as empty chatter). Make a real commitment to your goals and take one step at a time.  It is not a race, it is a journey.

If your mind gives you an excuse to quit, ask it why? If it gives one of its ridiculous excuses, counter that excuse with a positive reason to continue. You are NOT your mind!

The old say goes, “nothing worth having comes easy”.  For every thought that stands in the way, there is a positive thought that helps you to achieve what you set out to do. 

Do not give up. Believe in yourself! Remind yourself to do your best. If you stumble, get right back up and step forward again. Why would you want to stay down?

After the first success, reaching the next goal will come a little easier because you will now have more confidence.  Refuse to compromise.  Stick to your guns. You’ve got this!
