ONE STEP FORWARD AND THEN ANOTHER

The saying usually says, “one step forward then one step back” or “one step forward and two steps back”. These suggest that we are not progressing or that we even losing ground. 

I prefer the more progressive statement “one step forward and then another step forward”.

Taking a step back does not have to be a regression.  We can step back to see things more clearly or we can take a couple steps backwards to tweak or correct something. 

A step or two back may feel like a failure at times, but in reality, we have learned a valuable lesson for moving forward. Challenges are not put in place to punish us.  They are valuable lessons to teach us.

The difficulty lies in our perception and our willingness to keep pushing forward.  What was learned by our step back?

How can this be used to assist in moving forward?

Looking at life from a positive more constructive perspective opens the door for more positivity in your life.  It may not look that way in the moment, especially if what you are working towards is now being held back or may even seem like it is in jeopardy. 

Instead of feeling defeated, take the information and use it! Continue stepping forward with the understanding that a delay may indicate that the timing was off or that you needed to restart armed with this new information.  You may be surprised and even thrilled with the outcome.

So, one step forward and then another.  See what lies ahead without expectation.  Do what needs to be done. One step back (for a quick review) may open a door to allow two easy steps forward.

NATAL AND TRANSITING PLUTO

Pluto in the natal chart has a lot to do with change and transformation.  The sign it is in and the house where it is located in the natal chart will influence Pluto’s energies (as with any planet).

The birth chart is a snapshot of the heavens at the moment of birth.  This natal snapshot never changes.

The word transformation is the best description of Pluto’s energy, as it indicates the area of life where the foremost shifts will take place.  There are no halfway measures when we are speaking of Pluto.  Likely something must come to an end for something new to begin.  The change that takes place, in many cases, completely replaces what used to be in place.

When Pluto is in transit, you can expect major transformations to take hold in the area of life, (house positions) linked with the planets or angles within the birth chart.  Even if there are no other natal or transiting planets in the house transiting Pluto is transiting through, there will still be changes that take place especially when it crossed the house cusp and moves into the next house. 

When transiting Pluto reaches another planet or angle in the Natal chart, this area will become highlighted along with the energies of transiting Pluto and the other planet or angle which is involved.

Pluto’s energies are transformational and regenerative. Some major change can cause disruption but you will know in your heart that what “was” no longer fits your evolutionary path and dynamic change is required.  As mentioned, there are no halfway measures when it comes to the transit of Pluto and change is almost unavoidable, but over time you will realize that it was necessary.

The Natal blueprint must be closely studied to give a complete and comprehensive explanation of what will unfold. Whatever does unfold may take up to three years to fully comprehend with Pluto. 

Pluto is often unstoppable, and it is best to swim with the current of change it is presenting.

OPENNESS AND HONESTY

Openness and Honesty

It is said that if you are open and honest in life, life treats you the same.  You get back what you put out overtime, but not in obvious ways. If it were obvious, it almost would eliminate freedom of choice.  The balance takes place over time although in some cases reveals itself openly and sometimes very quickly.

We should live the way we live and act the way we act not out of hope that life will treat us fairly, but simply because this is how we want to live our lives.  We must live from our heart and be open and honest not only with others but also with ourselves. 

Sometimes we try to fool ourselves by not accepting what we have done. We place blame on others instead of taking responsibility for what is ours.  After all, we are only human and will make mistakes here and there throughout our lifetime.  Mistakes are wonderful learning tools.

Don’t be too hard on yourself.  You will always have an opportunity to reflect on decisions you have made and opportunities to correct some things that require being corrected.  Not everything can or will be corrected, however.  Some things in life cannot be undone.  If you cannot correct something you have done, at the very least be genuinely remorseful. Empty words are just that, empty, and you can’t fool yourself in the end.  Your true self knows what you feel and do.

Let go of ego interference.  Be the best person you can be.  Live up to your own personal expectations and accept any shortfalls that might take place along the way.  Look at life through eyes of love, and life will look back at you in a similar manner. 

You reap what you sow, so live accordingly.  Openness and honesty are the best path forward. Put your best foot forward.
