ARE YOU READY?

Now that we are over two weeks into the New Year, it would be a good time to reflect on what last year held for us.  Whether we considered it a good year, or not so good, does not matter anymore as it is now a part of our history.  As with each new day we experience, we are now in the process of a new beginning with a new year, 2024.  What lies ahead is uncertain, but the potential is always there for either great or small steps towards our objectives.

Are You Ready?

After our reflection of last year, perhaps rather than focusing on objectives linked to material achievements moving forward, we can ponder on what needs work on an inner basis for 2024.  There is nothing wrong with focusing on objectives linked to our material world, but that is so commonplace. Let’s change it up and ask ourselves what we can create in this new year. Let’s even contemplate what we would want to bring forward if this were to be our last year.  (We are not suggesting that it is your last year but looking at life from that perspective can push us towards something that truly matters deeply for us).

Changes from within offer the potential to bring lasting results and truly can bring out the best in us.  We might not see it in our immediate surroundings, but we will likely feel it on some level within. 

You will have to be honest with yourself and not push away anything that requires sincere reflection and possibly hard work (not to mention challenging realizations).  The more difficult the reflection, the more rewarding the experience and the aftereffects.  It is yours to conquer and rise above.  We may have to rethink some of our personal pursuits. As one change occurs, others often follow.

There is no failure even though at times it may feel that way. “Failure” is only a valuable lesson that helps us to adjust and move forward.  How then can we call it a failure? We can’t fail in our efforts, even what we call a failure brings valuable information and lessons. 

Again, in a year from now you can look back to review what you have accomplished in 2024 with great satisfaction due to yourself honesty and effort. 

For today, be open and know that you are ready to step forward.  It is your time; spend it wisely. 

All the best in your pursuit of wholeness in 2024.

THE COMPLEXITIES IN LIFE

All individuals (even those that are referred to as awakened) have challenges in life. Some of us understand that our focus can ease issues or magnify these challenges. Even with this understanding, at time, we can still get lost in our thoughts but those that have worked with their thoughts regularly can regain control faster and with less anxiety than those that allow their thoughts to control their response to life.  We all can struggle with maintaining a healthy attitude and with letting go of hurt and loss.

For those that are led by their thoughts without realizing they do have control or without questioning their mind’s focus, they believe that life is a struggle, that they will never overcome and that anxiety is a normal daily experience. 

Some do not question that they are not at the mercy of their thoughts, that there is assistance available and that finding an enjoyable way forward is attainable. 

Holding on to hard life lessons serves little, if any, purpose at all. It does take work to move beyond the lessons (not punishments) but it is not impossible.

Struggle in life is common but it builds strength, resilience, determination, etc.

Do not ask “why is this happening to me”.  Ask, “what can I learn from this?”

Step back and look at your situation from an unattached perspective. How does it look now?

We are only human. Lessons can be difficult, but our attitude and focus can magnify the lesson far beyond what it actually is.

Take one step at a time and know that you WILL find your way and WILL learn the lesson at hand, if you so choose.

You learn the greatest lessons from challenges. You are stronger than you realize. There are others there to support you, but you must take the step.

Celebrate life and all it contains even the complexities in life.  See it for the blessing it is!

SIGNIFICATORS OF CHANGE

Change is a guarantee in life. Sometimes change requires our participation and other times, change just happens.  It is my opinion that change happens because change is due.

There are times when we just know that our lives will take huge turns because of outside influences.  In some cases, who we become after the turn of events would be unrecognizable to our earlier self.  Significant changes occur especially when we are younger and learning the basics, when we morph into adults and again, later in life when we develop into mature adults.

If we were to look back even five years, we are not who we were then.  Our core identity, deep within, however, never seems to change. It just expands. 

Some of us refer to these changes as levels of enlightenment and awakening.  Some find that our destiny just seems to mold us.

Significators of Change

Life circumstances change and we adjust.  Relationships change, occupation can change, lifestyle and appearances will change.  We either adapt or struggle with what life presents to us.  Sometimes life makes suggestions (or should I say insists) for change and we can’t ignore it. We get little hints that changes are required along the way (significators of change).  With these hints, we can dig deep into ourselves to rediscover or recognize who we are and what we are becoming to facilitate adjustments to enhance this masterpiece. If required, we can completely change direction and start anew, if need be.

Change is inevitable. We can decide to take that leap of faith and trust life with the changes it is presenting. Believe that change is for the better even when it does not look that way initially.

We must learn when to move ahead and when to stay where we are. We often get glimpses of what potential lies ahead.  We are not at the mercy of life as we can adapt and change with the circumstances. We are at the mercy of what we decide to take on as our own and our attitude towards life’s blessings and its lessons.
