There are many individuals born to be teachers who will cross our paths during life. They come into our lives bearing the knowledge and truths that we need to hear for that moment in our lives. Some enter quickly but leave us just as quickly. Some teachers are part of our lives for years. Some are significant to us for very apparent reasons but these important teachers’ time with us can last only minutes. Most of our teachers are with us in our lives on a regular basis. As we mature into ourselves, we teach our children just as our parents taught us. Then as we begin to age our children in many ways become our teachers. They teach us on many levels. We can see our reflection in them and realize how we helped shape who they are now, or even possibly how we disrupted their growth in some way. There are times when they teach us valuable lessons but it can be difficult to stand back and accept the information that they are providing because of our egos. We are accustomed to being the ones assisting our children as they grow, not the other way around. Our spouses are probably one of our more important teachers and we receive knowledge from them on an ongoing basis. We are always learning from each other. This is why we have been brought together or at least part of the reason. We also come as a couple to experience life together and share our love and appreciation for one another. There will be times when we will be faced with issues and confrontations, but if we let go of our ego and stay open, we will allow the growth from these lessons to take hold. Life is the greatest teacher of all. When we are faced with challenges and even tragedies in our lives we often wonder what possible good could come from these experiences. The Astrology Composite chart is a report that provides information on the interaction of two individuals as a couple, either through a romantic relationship or business partnership. This chart can also be used to determine the union between any two individuals, such as a parent/child relationship. The Composite charts define any personal relationship between any two given individuals. The chart is determined by the birth chart of the two individuals and the midpoint between each planetary placement as well as the midpoint between the ascendants and midheavens. An example of this would be someone having their Sun in Capricorn at 15 degrees and someone else having their Sun at 25 degrees Aquarius. There are forty degrees between the two solar locations and dividing this in half, you would have 20 degrees, making the midpoint 5 degrees Aquarius. If you have your Midheaven in Pisces in the early degrees, (2-9 degrees) you have had transiting Neptune influencing your Midheaven ( also known as the MC) for approximately 2 years. I am sure you will have experienced notable effects on your occupation, your status in life, as well as some of the goals you may have set for yourself during this period. Check to see how Neptune and the MC are influenced by other planetary links in your natal chart to evaluate their overall condition. If Neptune is generally well placed in the birth chart, this period might express itself in very positive ways, although probably somewhat cloudy or unclear. Have you caught yourself in the act of avoidance lately? Are some of your life’s cornerstones becoming a bit hard to keep in their appropriate place? Are you somehow out of alignment? There are times when life’s events approach us in such ways that they seem just too difficult to digest. We take a protective approach by trying to ignoring or push aside these issues rather than dealing with them in more appropriate manners. We push these conditions or issues aside hoping that they will disappear or at the very least lesson in intensity. However upon reflection, we realize that they cannot be pushed aside as they will return again and again until they are faced. Facing challenging conditions in life can be very trying and at times extremely difficult, but running away from life’s challenging conditions never solves the issues. We have to come face to face with each hurdle in order to deal with it, learn and then move on. It will be difficult but sometimes ignoring an issue only invites a larger, harder lesson in the future. Often when one finally decides to deal with the issue, we recognize that the problem is not near as difficult as it appeared. The mind has a tendency to exaggerate things and often blows many issues out of proportion. When we face issues, we see them as they truly are. Confronting our fears always lessons our anxiety to any situation although the ego would like us to think otherwise. How often, for example, do people worry about health issues and become completely distracted from life as a result of their focus on “maybes” and “what ifs”. Many will spend timeless days worrying about something and then eventually discover that there was actually nothing wrong. The stress of worry can manifest many symptoms and if not kept in check, can manifest true “dis-ease”. Power of suggestion such as those suggestions through media advertisements can plant seeds of worry. With the continual, repetitive suggestions that we are bombarded with in all types of media, we can develop physical conditions and believe that the feelings we are experiencing are real. If left long enough we experience prolonged agitation and nervous anxiety builds and then we can become obsessed with an idea. If we take control of our thoughts and fears to focus on more positive ones, we can ease many situations and finally release ourselves from any perceived physical conditions. If, however, you feel that there is actually something physically wrong, a physician should be consulted. If there is a health issue, it can be dealt with immediate. If there is not a health issue, you will be reassured that there is nothing wrong and remove the worry. Often times, we will come to realize that our concerns are ego generated and once this is acknowledged, the conditions will usually fade spontaneously. If we find the conditions persist, talk to someone. Finding relief should be our primary concern either through medical avenues, if warranted, or through focusing our thoughts in a more positive, grateful direction. What life changing event would you not be able to accomplish if you were to stop and experience the moment? Would it not be a recharge for mind, body and soul to stop for even one minute to focus simply on that moment? You can sit down and enjoy a moment of rest. It feels wonderful to stop and relax our tired muscles, but the stress will not dissipate if you do not also stop our mind. It too can be considered a tired muscle. Contemplating what needs to be done next only enhances the stress and offers no peace. Stop for a brief moment today regardless of where you are. Stop the mind from thinking about what is next. Take as long as it takes to quiet the mind and a couple moments longer if possible. You will notice a calm that slowly surfaces. You will be relaxed and will shed that stress created from the rush of life. As mentioned, it does not need to be for long although sometimes those quiet short moments can feel much longer than they actually are. If you allow the mind to wander to “how will I get things done”, “I can’t stop” or “I will get behind”, you have defeated the purpose of this exercise. Understand and know that this quiet moment will not interfere with your day’ production. In reality it will undoubtedly increase your ability to achieve. You do not have to get caught up in the rush of life and taking a few minutes whenever needed will bring about feelings of calm and serenity, but you HAVE to “make” the time. It is a choice. The New Moon phase is considered a time for setting new goals and putting the necessary ingredients into motion to fulfill these goals. When the Full Moon moves into the same sign or house position that the New Moon was in when you set your intentions, you will find that your goals are now coming to fulfillment. The Full Moon cycle is often linked to the feelings of reaching an end of a condition. This is when ideas come together and you have the ability to visualize the whole picture and often will instinctively know what the next steps should be to reach that goal. In the New Moon phase, you could set plans by outlining what your intentions might be and what is necessary to facilitate this change or growth. As times goes by, reflect on how some of these goals begin to manifest, as life is always filled with opportunities. The intention is now set and as we enter into the Full Moon cycle particularly if there is a link to the sign and house position of the original New Moon phase, we will discover that either these intentions can materialize or they can deepen. If you set your intentions on the areas of life determined by the house and sign position of the Moon, the potential for success is greater than if you set intentions in areas of life that are not linked to the house and sign position. For example, if the New Moon is in Taurus and in the fourth house, you might think about adding furniture, beautifying your home or doing work on the house, as Taurus often speaks about material comforts and the fourth house has to do with the home environment. If using the same sign and house placement, if you decide you want to try to find a new relationship, the end result may not work out as well for you. In this circumstance, you might want to wait until the New Moon is in Libra and the house placement is in the fifth house. Libra is all about partnership and important relationships among other things and the fifth house can deals with romantic involvement. If by chance the New Moon Cycle begins under a void –off-course Moon, (the moon making no aspects leaving one sign and entering the next) (for example the Moon is in Aries and at 27 degrees 15 minutes and is square Mars, and it will not make any more aspects to any other planets until it is 1 degree and 23 minutes Taurus, this period is known as Void-Off-Course). This could last from a few minutes, several hours or many days. It has been noted that when making plans when the Moon if void-off-course, goals usually do not materialize or things go wrong and/or not as planned. It would be better to wait until the moon is making an aspect and not void-off-course. It is not suggested by this Astrologer that you wait when making plans or decisions in life for these opportune moments to come, but there is a better chance to make things work or taking less effort if you were to follow these guidelines. It should be understood that there may be other mitigating conditions within the Astrology Chart making these goals difficult or challenging, in turn delaying outcomes or challenging your ideas. There will be times in life when we have to stop for a moment and recognize we made a judgement call that did not turn out the way we planned and because of this we call it a mistake. These so called errors or wrong turns may not be a mistake at all but a valuable lesson moving forward. There are specific learning tools placed at our disposal at every turn in our lives. These tools force us to make decisions. We are not at the mercy of events. They are actually there for us to gain valuable information which we can draw from at a later date. These so called errors in judgement should not be viewed as mistakes, and the lessons they teach should not be taken lightly. We ARE to travel this road for experience. Instead of viewing these events as errors and allowing ourselves to be fixated on feelings of doubt and uncertainty (ego reaction), we must accept the event as a growth period. Be thankful for the event. If all that comes from the experience is self doubt and sadness, we have not learned our lesson and invite another event to unfold to re-teach the lesson as this lesson is imperative in our soul’s growth. If it were not, we would not have experienced it. The second round of the lessons may be somewhat disguised but the core remains the same. Often our lessons when not confronted and acknowledged properly, returns with more vigor and dealing with them the next time round will be a little more tedious. Our higher self knows that the lesson is important in our development so the second round will be more difficult to ensure that the lesson is learned. It is suggested that we pay attention when we are in a moment of truth and take the necessary time to make the proper adjustments to the situation at hand. From time to time, we will make what we perceive as “mistakes” and “poor judgements calls” along our life’s road. Do not be hard on yourself for these decisions or actions. Do not fear these lessons. Celebrate your development. Without these lessons we would stagnate. We truly need these challenges to push us in the appropriate direction. When life’s next decision presents itself, analyse, organize and move forward informed. Have no regrets and take action. Understand that the lesson might have an outcome completely different than we intended, but the experience will guide us to our next level. Everything in life has meaning and we are always on track. We are never off route of our true course. Embrace these experiences and understand their significance and know that you are not alone in this venture. We share this life and all of its experiences. The house position of the Moon’s (Lunar) North and South nodes is very important. Not only do the nodes have relevance in the sign they are placed but the house position is important as well, partly because house placements define areas of life. As we mentioned in a previous post, the North Node by definition speaks in part about what you have come to do in this life. If you take into consideration the sign placement of your North Node and house position, as well as the positions and placements of the South Node, you can begin to get a clear picture of why you are here and where you have come from. Today we will focus on the North Node in the third house. With the North Node in this house, communication is one of the key ingredients in this life. You have a unique way of expressing yourself and do this in your own style and will not follow along blindly by what is dictated by others. You probably do well at expressing yourself especially later on in life, unless there are mitigating circumstances especially linked to Mercury in your Natal chart. You will learn primarily through life’s experiences and day-to-day living. There are often key interests in specific subjects and you are a gatherer of information. You will use this information while seeking evidence and proof along the way. You are not the type to take life at face value and enjoy exploring the deeper facets and uncovering the truth of the matter. This is an excellent place for study and intellectual pursuits, as often the mental capacities are heightened. Some with this placement become proficient writers and may follow this line of pursuit once they find an area of expertise and enjoyment. Recently we touched on the ability to just be ourselves and being comfortable in our own skins, regardless of other people’s perspectives or opinions. We have come to or are striving to come to an understanding that we are who we are. Each of us has our own special gifts that we not only use for ourselves but we also share with the world, on whatever level is required. Standing strong for who we are and what we believe in and being proud of this uniqueness is the foundation that binds us together yet distinguishes us from others. This could be considered our truth, but going one step further, we establish what our truth truly is and to following these truths in our everyday lives. Setting a standard for our truth is important, but primarily it is important and relevant only specifically for to as an individual. We make our own judgements on the way we view and live our lives personally. These are concepts and ideologies that we facilitate and adhere to. They are ours personally and ours alone. No one can take them away from us, except if we ourselves choose to falter. Our truth is defined by self and we cannot make anyone else follow our path. The road we travel sheds light for our eyes only but the residual glow can lighten the way for others. There will be times that we feel that our path seems less visible and unclear as at times the light will be missing because we refuse to see it. Once again, it does not matter what others think of the path we have chosen for ourselves. Some will adhere to some of the same principles and be aligned with our route, but there will also be many who are nowhere near our point of travel and will have their own opinions on our path. This does not matter. Rest assured that even though some of these people will try to sway our course, we can remain strong with our own set principles of love and light. It would be very difficult if not impossible to explain to others where we have come from and what has brought us to this point in life. Is an explanation important? This is our own personal truth. We have attained this knowledge and personal growth through experience, an experience that no one else has lived. Stay true to yourself and your beliefs.
