Do we just take the easy road or do we walk the long hard road of life lessons? 

Do we even have a choice? 

Some would say no because our life’s path is not by choice, while others believe that in many ways, we have chosen this path long before we actually incarnated. 

For just one moment, let’s go with the belief that we have come into this life knowing from a deeper perspective the path and lessons that lie ahead.  Although the path is somewhat set in stone, this does not mean that we are at the mercy of these choices that were set prior to our entry into this life. 

Many believe that we can alter the path somewhat by our choices that we make along the road while others believe that the path can never be altered.  There is no way of proving either, so why not address anything that comes our way and adjust when we need to.

We will learn the lessons we are here to learn whether we accept them, fight them or try to ignore them.  The path may vary but the end destiny or life lesson, call it what you will, will not change.

Life will happen, no matter what, and we can only do what we can in the process.  We will experience challenging conditions from time to time, but we will also experience wonderful, breathtaking experiences as well. 

Our attitude towards all of our life events is what matters.  Life will still happen and we must except the lessons required. We can make the ride enjoyable (at the very least less stressful) with an exuberance to learn. We lessen the friction by doing so.

So onward we march with each segment, each lesson in our lives.  We work our way through adversity when it confronts us and maneuver our way forward.  We gain strength from these experiences and learn from our mistakes, if there is such a thing.  Perhaps, it’s all meant to be and there are no mistakes along the way!! 

Our road is unique to us. Have faith in the process and live your life to the fullest.  Even in the darkest moments there is an opportunity to grow and move forward. You are much stronger than you think.  Believe this, know this!  Learn the lessons well and enjoy the ride!

Bright Sunny Skies

If life has seemed dim, remember it’s always the darkest just before dawn. 

Life’s journey can be unclear but eventually the sun rises again and will light your path clearly. You might not have been sure about the next step but patience and slow progress can help with clear decision making. When we can see the next steppingstone, it is time to take that step.

With clear and concise deliberation, we prepare ourselves to move forward.

If we feel we are sitting at the precipice of change and have been waiting for something to come along and make things happen, perhaps we should realize that we have to take that step forward. The only restrictions, although life seems to put up barriers, are indecision.  We hold ourselves back.

If we have done our due diligence, do not let fear rule! The unknown can be intimidating but it should not dictate.

There will always be bright sunny skies.  When dawn comes, we must take off our sleep mask to see the sun rise. Take that step forward or stand in place. Do we exist in fear or do we live fully no matter what we are dealt?

LIFE AT A DISCOUNTED RATE

As the old story goes, “you get what you paid for”.  If you are living life at a discounted rate, consider yourself lucky.  Most of us pay (balance of give and take) for what we enjoy in life either by retribution or through acts of kindness.  At some point, we get what we deserve. 

Living life to the fullest means that you are enjoying what life offers and sharing it with others either by direct contact or through gifts of kindness, caring, compassion, love and forgiveness.  Balance is always reached eventually. Although you may feel that life has been unfair to you thus far, perhaps you need to have a closer look and pay attention to what you have and not to what is missing.

In some cases, however, there are those living with hatred and deceit. Balance never seems to fall into place. Some suffer silently from recent experiences or from experiences from childhood. We likely will never know what has taken place with some individuals.

Until we walk a mile in someone else’s shoes, we have no concept of why they are who they are today. Balance or justice on some level will be served. Fairness is always in place even when we, as mortals, cannot perceive it. There is so much going on in life beneath the surface that we do not and cannot understand.

Justice will be served, balance will be reached, but we may not understand it.

Do not waste life searching for retribution because by doing so we are allowing an event or experience to live in our head and it is us who are paying the rent. Karma does not need our help. To seek revenge, perhaps by that shear desire for it, is actually affecting us in a negative way.

If we are waiting for life to bend to our wants because we believe we deserve it, we may be paying a high price for those expectations.  Don’t waste the opportunity to live by waiting for something to happen. We are only allowing that event to rob us of truly living. 

Events do not define us. Our response to events, especially attitude and focus, gives us our quality of life. Are we living life at a discounted rate or are we paying far too much to just exist and missing the enjoyment of living?

How we relate to ourselves has a huge impact on how we live our lives under current circumstances.
