Holm Astrology has been creating "Astrology" and "Food For Thought" posts for over 10 years.  Wix has taken over the Vista Print websites and as a result of the migration of our information, a large portion of our blog posts are currently lost.

We realize our Astrology posts are vital to our students.

We apologize for the inconvenience but it is worth the jump over to our blogspot.

Currently, and in the near future, there are several of the outer planets moving into new signs.  Pluto is already in the sign of Aquarius.  Neptune will be moving into the sign Aries, as is Saturn.  Uranus will move into the sign of Gemini in July and then return into Taurus in November of 2025.  Uranus stays in Taurus from November 2025 until the end of April 2026.  As a result, those individuals with their Natal Sun in the early degrees of Cancer will have all these outer planets making aspects to their Sun.

Happy solar return to our Cancer followers. The transits for Sun in Cancer 2025 may suggest hard work but this hard work has a benefit in the long term. Welcome the lessons and experience growth.
Transits for Sun in Cancer 2025

We will touch on the transits of Neptune moving into Aries as well as Saturn moving into the same sign forming a tight Conjunction, at times, into March, 2026.

Neptune, a mystical planet, and Saturn, a practical and down-to-earth energy planet, will have a profound influence on those with the Sun in the early degrees of Cancer.  The energies of these two planets are extreme opposites and may create some confusion for those individuals they influence. The house placements will determine the areas of life affected by these two powerful planetary links.

Some Cancerians may have a hard time defining themselves under these influences.  The Cancerian’s goals and their path ahead may venture into directions that may be uncomfortable. Some Sun in Cancer individuals may question if the paths are tangible and question where they may lead. There can be a dilemma between what is real and what is wishful thinking or imaginary.

Be sure to confirm what you are envisioning is real and workable.  This may have to do with goals, in some cases your career goals, and it may also have to do with relationships.  The houses involved will clarify the area of life.

The aspect between Saturn/Neptune and the Sun in Cancer is a square (90° aspect) which is known to produce challenging situations.  There are often hurtles to overcome, and it may feel as though there are obstacles in the way of progress, time delays, and the path ahead can be quite tedious with struggles and extra work.  The Square aspect, however, has a need for clarity, to remove the obstacles hindering advancement so that eventually, insight and knowledge are obtained.  It will take hard work, diligent effort and sustained organized input on your part to resolve any issues that might crop up during this connection but in the long term, you will benefit.

Happy solar return to our Cancer followers.  The transits for Sun in Cancer 2025 may suggest hard work but this hard work has a benefit in the long term. Welcome the lessons and experience growth.

Jupiter has a 12-year cycle, so approximately every three years it will make squares to both of your Natal Nodes.  Jupiter is known for its opportunistic applications.  It often brings good luck, favorable conditions, growth potential, new and idealistic teachings into the philosophy of life often through the actual experience rather than through books. Jupiter offers expanded exploration of life in general with an inclination towards newfound information and learned material.

The Nodes (we always have two Node, one known as the North Node or the Dragon’s head and the other known as the South Node or the Dragon’s tail) are tied to our exploration of life. They bring teachings that are required to move towards our destiny as well as the need to use what we have been taught or what comes naturally to us in life (this could be information learned in a previous incarnation).

The North Node is the path ahead which may seem daunting or unrecognizable, especially as we just venture forth in our life’s mission.

The South Node deals with the path we have already travelled and the knowledge we have brought forward to assist us in our venture into the energies of the North Node which is often unknown territory.  The South Node is comfortable because we have come from this place and the North Node can be uncomfortable because it is unfamiliar but is the journey we must take.

The Square aspect in Astrology is considered a difficult one, often producing obstacles, challenges and hardships through lessons learned often through life’s experience.  The beauty of the square aspect is that it is difficult enough that it pushes us into acting on whatever hurdles or lessons are in front of us and pushes us to overcome or at least face the challenging situations so we can learn from them.  It is likely that we need to find a remedy to resolve the issues we are facing.

Jupiter, in most cases, does offer us some resolution even under hard aspects.  In this case, the path ahead may seem unattainable or hard to reach.  There may be obstacles in the way and our progress may seem exceptionally slow. We must venture forward, however, and push through the adversity and find ways to just take one step at a time.

The path behind us may not seem to offer any assistance as we try to advance and although there are hinderances, we know from past experiences that we can and will advance and learn.  If we stumble, we learn from our mistakes and can use this knowledge to move ahead in a new direction which is appropriate at this time.

Jupiter square the natal nodes can be trying, but it will teach us what we need to learn for our new path forward. This life lesson may not have been easy but it was invaluable.
Jupiter Square the natal Nodes

Transiting Jupiter square the natal nodes can be trying, but it will teach us what we need to learn for our new path forward. In about one year after this aspect, the path ahead will be much easier as Jupiter will transit forward to make a trine to the South Node and a Sextile to the North Node. This indicates an opportunity to gain insight into the path which lies ahead, and we will find ways that will help maneuver in that required direction because of the work we did during the square aspect.  Jupiter square the natal nodes may not have been easy but it was invaluable.

Jupiter square the natal nodes can be trying, but it will teach us what we need to learn for our new path forward. This life lesson may not have been easy but it was invaluable.

Saturn, by definition, often speaks of challenging conditions, tasks at hand, lessons to learn, discipline, creating organization and building a strong foundation.

As Saturn transits through the houses, especially when it connects with the planets or the cusp of each house, it is often felt as an integrating energy that asks us to pay attention and often requires additional work.  Saturn’s influence is not something that should be ignored and is felt especially when it conjuncts a planet or angle in our birth chart.

Saturn, at its most powerful, often interacts when it is 2° past being direct because of its delayed effects.  However, you will likely feel Saturn’s approach long before it reaches this critical degree of influence.  Therefore, we can prepare for its influence, but it is highly suggested that you not anticipate its action as negativity can result.

Saturn is the teacher of the Zodiac, and this is what it will do.  Its action sparks our attention and when transiting Saturn is in square to itself in the birth chart (which is what we are focused on in this article) our attentiveness will be enhanced.

Saturn asks us to work hard towards our objectives and not to miss any steps along the way.  It will teach us patience and diligence. If we do the work that is required, its energies can help build solid foundations that stand the test of time.  The structures that can be built can withstand almost any interaction because they are built from structure and lessons that are likely difficult and do not need repeating.

Much will depend on the houses involved in the equation.  The house where Saturn transits often produce tension or lessons and the house where Saturn natally resides helps in assisting with the dilemma.  Squares indicate struggle, but the difficulty is irritating enough that it forces us into action to formulate a plan to alleviate the irritation. Natal Saturn and its natal positioning in the birth chart will provide you with more information and information on potential difficulty or greater ease for transition due to its aspects.

When Saturn in transit forms a square with natal Saturn, it initiates a significant phase of teaching and learning. While Saturn symbolizes hardship, it also fosters resilience & inner strength. Individuals may not realize the depths of their fortitude until Saturn compels them to face such lessons. Indeed, Saturn is the ultimate teacher.
Saturn Square Natal Saturn

When transiting Saturn squares natal Saturn, there will be a teaching/learning phase.  You will work your way through what Saturn’s energies are pushing at you and become more equipped to handle situations in the future.  Difficulties are represented by Saturn, but Saturn also builds resilience and integrates strength.  Many may not even realize they have this strength until Saturn forces the lesson on them.  Saturn truly is the teacher.
