SOLAR AND LUNAR ECLIPSES

We have two luminary Eclipses that affect humankind and likely all other species on earth. 

The energy influence of a Solar Eclipse and a Lunar Eclipse are both said to last approximately 6 months.  Some say the Solar Eclipse lasts longer than the Lunar Eclipse stretching into one year of influence.  The strongest period of influence is about 4-6 weeks after the eclipse and some individuals can feel the energies prior to the actual event as well.

The Solar Eclipse always occurs during the New Moon and is said to expand in its energy over a period of some six months as mentioned above.  It will impact your chart if it is within 3° of any planet in your birth chart, particularly the Sun and Moon.  It will also highly affect your Ascendant and Midheaven.  Its prime push is, with some impulsive action on our part, to create new beginning. 

Sometimes we are aware of what needs to begin and other times it can happen very unexpectedly. Because of this, it is suggested that you wait for things to settle before making any sudden or major changes to your life that may be regretted after this energy has subsided.  Opportunities often present themselves, and in some cases rather dynamically.  It may be hard to hold back as sometimes it feels very appropriate to move ahead with what seems to be the right choice under the influence of a Solar eclipse.

The Lunar Eclipse always happens when we are having a Full Moon, which suggests that it is time to shed things that no longer suit our evolutionary growth.  Sometimes things surface that may have been hidden in the past or swept under the proverbial carpet.  We need to let go and move forward.  This can be a challenging situation and the emotions will run high.  It can bring a complete and sometimes sudden end to things, although in some cases we might already have been aware of this coming. 

Once again, change can happen suddenly and unexpectedly. We should take our time if at all possible.  Sometimes things just happen that seem destined and almost out of our control.   

Some people fear the Solar and Lunar eclipses. In most cases, these events bring forward what is needed. 

The houses in your Astrology chart that are touched by the eclipse and the planetary energies will provide the information needed to have an idea of what to expect.  This can be an especially significant event if other transits and progressions mirror what is suggested when these events take place.

Our next eclipse will take place on August 12, 2026 at 20° in the sign of Leo.  If you have any planets or angles involving this degree, most importantly the Conjunction and Opposition, the energies will have an impact on your chart.

NEPTUNE IN ARIES

NEPTUNE IN ARIES

Since Transiting Neptune moves through a sign of the Zodiac in approximately 14 years, it is this astrologer’s opinion that it carries forward with it the energies of the previous sign that it just transited through, an orb of influence, if you wish, from the past sign.  I have not done a consensus with other Astrologers, but I certainly think it is worth considering.

Transiting Neptune moved into Aries on a permanent basis (no more retrograding back to Pisces) on January 26, 2026.  It was in Pisces for approximately 14 years prior to this date.  I like to a 3° orb of influence as this is when the energy is still recognizable from its previous sign placement.  So, Pisces will still have an influence although weakening towards the end of 2026.

In Pisces, many people found a renewed or first-time interest in the psychic realm.  The door seemed to open, even if only with curiosity.  Information and experience were gained throughout much of this cycle.  Looking at the house where Neptune was transiting through and the Natal positioning by house and aspect in your personal Astrology chart provides you with more information as to how this might work out for you personally.

This is not to say that everyone became overly affected in this manner, as Neptune also has its other side which includes illusiveness, confusion, and vagueness. Pisces can be often associated with drug and alcohol consumption and the wish to escape harsh reality.  This may have also been associated with other individuals in your life.  Neptune also has other facets to its personality, far too many to mention in this short article.

If Neptune in Pisces had a psychic influence on you perhaps Neptune moving into Aries carried this forward in a much more personal way.  Perhaps you can begin using this ability in a more personal manner and you have and will paid more attention to how you are living your life according to higher psychic/spiritual principles of love and compassion. Perhaps this is the time the door opens more from an internal perspective and allow Neptunes’ energy to infiltrate your inner being.

Have a closer look at your true potential and begin using this openly. Make changes in this direction, where needed, so that you can foster in the change that is required in your own personal environment. This in turn will affect all of us as the ripple effect moves through each of us.  Just a thought. What is your opinion?

Transiting Uranus Opposition Natal North Node

Transiting Uranus in Opposition to the Natal North Node suggests that your path in life is being influenced by other people.  This may be family or friends, but it could also be someone who comes into your life during the influence of this aspect and shapes your decisions for moving forward.

Oppositions are known to be challenging; therefore, this influence may come at a time when you feel as though you know where you want to go, but there is this outside influence.  In some cases, other’s plans to move you forward stand in the way of what you might want to do.  It is like an opposing force pushing you in a different direction and sometimes this other individual may dictate.

This may be an authority figure or someone who thinks they know best, although you may disagree. 

The Astrological houses involved in your Astrology chart are the areas of life being affected by this energy. 

The influence of Uranus can make things rather unpredictable to say the least.  This individual might also just seem to have come out of thin air. Their timing seems impeccable.  It may seem as though they know what they are talking about, but it goes against what you think should be the next move.

This will likely create challenges and possibly shortfalls. You will feel as though you are being tested and perhaps you are.  Is your resilience strong enough? 

Are you confident enough or should you be listening to their advice? 

It does not hurt to listen but you may question why they are suddenly affecting my life. 

When Uranus is Opposition your North Node, it is, of course, Conjunct (a stronger aspect than the Opposition) your South Node. This works like the energies of Saturn, so a testing period is at hand.

Oppositions always involve others.  This is likely difficult because their energies may not align with yours. 

With Uranus opposition your natal North Node listen to what others have to say then after careful evaluation decide what to do. Jumping is not suggested. One way or another your eyes will be opened to new possibilities.
