SUN IN AQUARIUS

We move from the Cardinal, Earth sign of Capricorn on January 20, 2024 into the Fixed, Air sign of Aquarius. 

Sun in Aquarius

Aquarians are one of the most futuristic signs of the Zodiac.

Aquarians are known to be humanitarians, moral and visionaries and are often ahead of their time.  Their thinking is progressive and because of the influence of Uranus, their ruling planet, they are on the lookout for new ideas that can stimulate growth and a movement out of complacency or stagnation.  They push for the new and leave behind anything that no longer contributes to their evolution.

They can be rebellious and are considered somewhat eccentric in their approach to life.  Their radical thinking can be visionary for some or offbeat for others.  Their motto is “I know” and their approach, as time progresses, is to live their life to the of their best abilities offering insights and wisdom for those who wish to listen.

They are independent and do not wish to be tied down.  Freedom of expression and the ability to live life the way they feel fit is their objective.  If their ideas and viewpoints are obstructed or interfered with, they can become impatient and restless as they are quite fixed in their opinions.  They walk their own road and are not ashamed of their uniqueness. Their wish it to leave something behind after death that can be used in aiding humanity on some level.  Whether this is for an individual or for the masses is not important but the more people they can help to reach their potential, the better the Aquarian feels.

They have an adventurous spirit, are better in groups than with individuals and often have trouble expressing their feelings, as they are focused on the mind rather than attached to feelings.  This, in some cases, can make them appear cold.  This does not mean that the typical Aquarian is unemotional. It is important, however, to check the full birth chart, especially the Moon, to get a complete picture of an individual’s emotional influences.

SATURN TRINE THE ASCENDANT

We are focusing on Transiting Saturn Trine the Ascendant.

Transiting Saturn rarely makes things easy, but its energies do work in a more favorable manner when it is in its retrograde cycle.  When Saturn makes a Trine to a planet, however it often suggests that the potential for a favorable outcome is better than when it is making a challenging aspect such as a Square or Opposition and in many cases the Conjunction.  Trine aspects indicate easy flow although that flow will be disrupted because of Saturn’s natural tendency to slow progress down and delay the result.

The Ascendant is a personal sphere of influence in our lives.  It has to do with our personal expression and even our appearance, although modern physical adjustments have an impact on this.  The Ascendant is the way we represent ourselves especially when we first meet someone.  It is our outer expression while the Sun is our inner expression and who we are deep inside.

Saturn’s influence will push you to have a close look at yourself. It will influence how you define who you are and whether you are comfortable with your self-expression and may challenge you to be honest about this to yourself.  You may even talk openly about this to others and may feel somewhat down about what you see.  Saturn will point out all your so-called short comings and push you to do something about them.  This will likely be difficult, but if you don’t cut yourself short and follow through with the hard work, your chances of success are enhanced but will likely take some work and time to accomplish.

Saturn will build a more solid foundation with the proper effort and will secure things for your self-expression and self-worth over time.  It may affect your relationship with others and make you more reliable and secure if this is something that needs refurbishing.  The ramifications for a job well done can work in many ways.  If the Ascendant is connected to the Midheaven, this turning point could enhance your career or if connected to the IC, it can make things better with family and build a more secure structure in the home environment. 

A full look at your chart would be required to get the full picture but in general this Saturn connection to the Ascendant is a favorable aspect if the required work is carried out and can help make many positive changes in life.

SATURN IN PISCES

Transiting Saturn entered the sign of Pisces on March 8, 2023 and will slowly move through this sign. Saturn went into retrograde in June, 2023, and will do so again in July, 2024, and in July 2025. In November, 2025 it turns direct.  It enters Aries in May 2025 but enters the various retrograde cycles returning to Pisces and does not return to Aries again until February, 2026. 

Saturn while in retrograde actually works more favourably than while in its direct motion, so the retrograde cycles are important.

Saturn in Pisces

Saturn is all about structure and reliability. It wants to preserve its energy for a very real focus of substance and what might be considered things that relate to reality and that which is real.  While moving through the sign of Pisces (which is quite the opposite of these characteristics), Saturn will want to look through the lens of clarity and definition.  The mystical and intuitive qualities of Pisces will need to be weighed out and structured in such a way that only facts pass the iron test of Saturn.  There will be no wondering if something is real or imagined as life will go through a period of reflection, reality focus and questioning if it is viable and concise.

Your spiritual connection may go through a period of testing and its validity will be confronted. You may go through a period of questioning whether this is practical and real or not.  Your mystical and perhaps your religious inclinations may go through a period of examination and assessment.  After, and often during the times of retrograde, the potential for solidification and structuring takes place. Your ideologies connected with psychic matters may become more reliable and constructed in such a way that there would be far less “wondering” if something is factual or not. 

There may be some hurtles to overcome, and a questioning period that takes place, but you will know with much more certainty than you did prior to this period.  The truth will be told and if any of your planets and angles are connected to Saturn during its Piscean stay (particularly the conjunction aspect), the house placements will have an important role in what area of life will be involved and perhaps reconstructed. 

You will find the answers to anything that has been vague or uncertain as time passes. Use this information taught by Saturn in Pisces to make conscious decisions for the next steps in your life’s ongoing adventure.
