Sun in Pisces 2025

The Sun moves from the fixed, air sign of Aquarius into the mutable, water sign of Pisces on February 18, 2025.  This is quite the contrast as anyone who shares this cusp of Aquarius and Pisces has two distinct energies working within.  (See www.holmastrology.com/astrology-101astrology for more information on the distinct energies of these two signs.)

Pisces, under most conditions, (depending on other configurations within the natal chart) has a gentle, calm, passive demeanor and is very sensitive to other people as well as their own surroundings.  They need quiet places to retreat, gentle well-meaning associates and friends, and often enjoy the open waters or an ocean view. 

Most Pisceans are kind, caring individuals with great empathy for others, mainly because they understand what it is to suffer from the deeper layers of consciousness.  They can get hurt easily and have a hard time hiding how they feel.  They must learn not to take on the energies of others, especially if these other individuals are going through heart-wrenching and emotional experiences.

Pisces individuals truly care, and you can find them in volunteer groups, where caring and compassion is required.  They can make great nurses, psychologists, and addiction counsellors. Insecure individuals are often drawn to Pisceans, but so are aggressive individuals who believe they can take control or take advantage of caring Pisceans.  They must be careful who they become close to in life.

Pisceans are very sensitive individuals, and because of this, many Sun in Pisces individuals are known to have intuitive abilities.  Some are psychic and most go deep into “feelings” rather than to analyze.  They are known for their caring natures, but because of their intense need for peace and tranquility, when they are confronted with adverse conditions, they tend to be drawn to drugs and alcohol because they do not want to face this adversity.  Some hide their proverbial heads in the sand or try to cloud life’s challenging situations.

The area of psychology and the unseen can draw them in.  Their philosophy might be “who can I help and what can I do to make others’ lives deeper but I don’t need rewards”.  Some are known for being martyrs as it is not important for them to receive recognition or compensation for their efforts. They also understand that they work for a higher power.  Some believe that Pisces, being the last sign of the Zodiac, is the final stage of earthly existence. 

Personally, this Astrologer believes that unless they have a grasp of the full picture of life’s purpose, they are not ready for the final stage of earthly existence, and they will return bringing with them their knowledge and experience into their next existence.

REGENERATION AND TRANSFORMATION

A shift occurs for many around the age of 29, again around 42 and once more about the age of 59.  These are common times when we go through major regeneration and transformations inside and out. These times can be rather traumatic or in contrast quite liberating.  These are turning points in our ongoing evolution.

Regeneration and Transformation

At the age of roughly 28-29, we find ourselves moving through a period of testing and a time of new beginnings, and in some cases, endings.  We enter a new stage in life where who we were previously no long matches the person we are becoming or we may set out to accomplish something that we deem necessary in our life. We may reach out for change to gain momentum and cement our future.  In a year or two after our 28th or 29th birthday, life looks completely different and our groundwork we created during this transition period laid the foundation for what is yet to come.

Between the age of 40 to roughly 43, we are again faced with decisions.  Has our life become stale? Is it time for regeneration? 

What used to be likely no longer suits our current journey.  During this phase, we are subject to sudden moves and sometimes these are rather unpredictable. There is a degree of uncertainty as to “should we or should we not” with whatever we are contemplating.  When we do decide to move in a new direction, other people may be surprised because what was in place seemed normal or traditional and our current actions seem a little erratic.  But as we go through this period, we find that life’s direction has changed, and our actions have put us on track and have moved us in the right direction.

At around age 58 or 59, we go through another major transformation as we approach the senior stage of development.  Some contemplate retirement.  Some are put into situations where life takes them down a road that they did not foresee.  Some change direction and begin anew although not often as dynamic as the previous change period around 42.  This current stage is a time of maturation and development that will now push us forward into our golden age although this may still be a long way off. We are preparing for these days and understand that time waits for no one.

During the periods around ages 28-29, 40-43 and 58-59, we move through stages of development sometimes brought on by others, sometimes brought on by our own needs and sometimes brought on through life circumstances.  We learn to adapt, regenerate and push our way forward through the continual regeneration and transformation of life.

NEPTUNE MOVES INTO ARIES

Transiting Neptune stays in each sign approximately 14 years.

Neptune entered Pisces in the spring of 2011 and will be moving into the sign of Aries in the spring of 2025 but moving back into the final degrees of Pisces when turning retrograde and then returning to Aries and remaining there from the beginning of 2026. 

Neptune Moves into Aries

As with all sign changes, as Neptune moves into Aries, there are some ramifications of the previous sign, Pisces, and some reflections of the upcoming sign, Aries.  This is like an orb of influence usually beginning to show its influence in and around 3° degrees prior to entering the next sign.

While in its own sign of Pisces, Neptune was working well connected to the energies of spirituality, enlightenment and awakening into the psychic realm.  Many individuals can relate to this over the past 14-year span. Many people became interested and entered this realm of influence. They questioned if there were not more to life than the mundane tasks of everyday responsibilities. 

For those individuals already on this route before the coming age of Neptune in Pisces, the awakening process was enhanced, and their abilities would also have been heightened.

As we begin to feel the energies shifting from Pisces to Aries, the psychic awareness gained by many people becomes more apparent on a personal level.  We become awakened to our own connectedness to the other worldly realms and enhance our personal perspectives into these now more accepted and realized states of being.  We are now more intuitive and have a deeper understanding of the world at large and are now beginning to delve deeper into our own objective reality.  With the influence of Aries, this becomes more personal, and we gain momentum as we advance our individual cause with the objective of assisting others in finding their true identity.

This is a time of personal spiritual growth and an expansion into deeper realms of self from a spiritual level.  We gain momentum by inner/honest reflection and can begin to understand the connectedness of humanity and its plight.  We learn compassion on a personal basis, we learn perseverance through diligent self-examination and delve headlong into the future not knowing exactly what that might entail.

Neptune moves into Aries for the next 14 years, and we will be tied into our subconscious and be learning to evaluate inner communication with outer forces. We will be deepening our understanding of life through the study of self.  We are here to learn that we are all one and that the concept of individuality is now more focused on the concept of internal connectedness. 

With the energies when Neptune moves into Aries, explore yourself and open the door. Find the truth to who you are.
