URANUS SEXTILE NATAL JUPITER

Uranus, often known as the awakener and initiator of sudden change, points us towards an area of life (determined by house position) that needs alteration and a shift because what has been in place needs to adjust and move in a new direction. 

Transiting Uranus can cause havoc and sometimes bring rather drastic changes in people’s lives.  Uranus action is to push to liberate us from anything that could be considered unnecessarily traditional or restrictive in nature.  It often brings change in unusual or unexpected ways, fostering in a much needed new direction.

Currently (July, 2025), Uranus is making its final pass in the sign of Taurus and will move into Gemini lasting approximately seven years.  Uranus is humanitarian and speaks to universal brotherhood and will ultimately assist mankind to develop, evolving to what better suits us as time goes by.  Uranus is comfortable in the sign of Gemini which offers Uranus new perspectives, insight and directions that may not otherwise be available.  There are usually two or more paths to take when we speak of Gemini although Gemini is also quite versatile and adaptable so the change and disruption that Uranus promises will have avenues of expression that suit the evolutionary path moving forward.

Jupiter, known as the greater benefic provides growth and expansion into different areas of life, also determined by house position.  Quite often the placement of Jupiter in the natal chart is an area of potential growth and often brings with it good luck depending on what other forces are at work (planetary alignments to Jupiter).  Jupiter promotes the expansion of our consciousness and teamed up with Uranus, which will be in Gemini, can open doorways to healing where necessary, provide insight into the deeper workings of humanity and provide guidance where it may be needed.

The sextile (60° aspect) is an aspect of opportunities that often provides us with easy flow, like the Trine (120° aspect) although we must apply ourselves to get things moving with the sextile.  This is often unlike the Trine as easy flow often comes to us without much persuasion.  This aspect offers the opportunity for you to harmonize the energies of both planets, creating an aim for a favorable outcome. 

Uranus Sextile Natal Jupiter

Uranus and Jupiter offer us a chance to make significant changes in our lives, fostering in the new. These may be opportunities we have been waiting for or have been preparing for.  Because Jupiter is involved in the equation, you can expect major changes of direction that over time will prove to be beneficial although it may be a little challenging for those that are not comfortable with change. 

The direction that Uranus is leading us in will be exactly what is required although we may not understand why these changes are taking place. We will understand the direction and the change in time.

Transiting Uranus and Saturn in Sextile 2025

The Sextile, which is considered a major aspect in astrology, can be given an orb of up to 10° of separation but becomes even more relevant when it is closer (this Astrologer uses a 7° orb of influence) to being direct. 

In early February 2025, the sextile between transiting Uranus and Saturn was beginning to activate in our consciousness and within the world.

Uranus and Saturn in their individual nature are opposing forces.  Uranus represents change and often in sudden unexpected ways.  Saturn, on the other hand, represents stability, structure, discipline and restriction.  One planet’s energies bring required change while the other’s energy will resist change often due to concern because what is in place feels stable and reliable. 

Uranus calls for revolution and brings in the new because what has been in place no longer works and has become stagnant. The energies have already served their purpose, and we are outgrowing them.  Uranus shakes the foundation, and Saturn resists and remains intent on staying on the current course. 

One force must learn to adapt to the other force, and the opportunity, which is what is implied by the Sextile, must be implemented.  These two planets’ energies must find a compromise to work together in the most appropriate manner.  It is obvious that change is required but under what circumstances and how difficult will it be to maneuver forward? 

Saturn must bend a little on what it holds true and comfortable, and Uranus must back off a little as well because too much of a shift is something that might be considered erratic and even dangerous. 

When evaluating what this means in the overall world scene today, it suggests that a change is needed but radical and sudden manifestations do not work. This erratic energy will cause much chaos which not only affects everyone on some level or another but shakes the very foundation that things are built on.  The old order of things needs to change, but, at the same time, those energies in place that have been used can still be utilized during the transition, because experience has its importance when in the face of change.  

People in positions of power need to reach out for assistance in moving forward from those with understanding of and experience with the new being integrated.  There cannot be dictatorships and there must be cooperation amongst those in positions of authority.

The house positions in your chart where these two giants are currently positioned, along with other factors (natal position of planets and aspects), including other transits affecting your personal chart, need to be all taken into consideration to arrive at a viable conclusion.

The energies we are focused on were powerful especially in March and April, particularly so in the last few days of March into the first two weeks of April 2025.  These energies will be backing off somewhat now, getting weaker but still in force until late September through until early December of 2025.  The energies will become strong again at the end of 2025 and early 2026, finalizing their influence at the end of March into early April 2026.

Transiting Uranus and Transiting Saturn in sextile 2025 will bring about opportunity to replace the old ways that no longer work. Uranus must slow down a little and Saturn must allow a forward change.

NEPTUNE SEXTILE NATAL JUPITER

This article is written in March, 2025. Transiting Neptune is moving into Aries at the end of March. Neptune will remain in Aries until it moves back into Pisces on October 22, 2025.  Neptune returns to Aries in January, 2026 and will then stay in Aries for many years.

Pisces, which is normally connected to the spiritual realm, will maneuver its way into the sign of Aries with a real push to find solace in Spirituality and the mystical side of life.  This will now be on a personal basis as Aries is connected to self and the need to move within self-serving enterprises. 

Neptune in Pisces, its natural placement, would have opened the door for many who wished to delve deeper into their mystical side.  Now is the time to put all of that training and education into practice.  Much will depend on the placement of transiting Neptune in your natal chart as this will be the area of life that is exposed to these energies.  Also, look at the natal placement of Neptune as well as the aspects it receives in the natal chart as this will provide further important information. 

Natal Jupiter and its house placement will speak in terms of expansion and potential growth.  Jupiter often brings with it good fortune, easy flow in obtaining your objectives, and in general, positive energy. 

Neptune Sextile Natal Jupiter

Neptune and Jupiter in sextile to one another, allowing a 3-5° orb of influence, can create opportunities for growth and expansion around spirituality, music, and theatre, especially if the fifth house is part of the process and the psychic realm for those that have an interest in these fields of expression.  I personally use a smaller orb because, although we can feel these energies coming into our lives, the energies become stronger the closer they are to being direct. 

Your Jupiter will likely be in the final degrees in the sign of Capricorn or Taurus or in the early degrees of Aquarius or Gemini for this aspect to play a role in your life currently. 

Sextiles are opportunity aspects, but in many cases, we will have to work to put these opportunities now entering our lives into action, as without our involvement not much may take hold.  Once again, look to the houses where transiting Neptune is in, the houses where natal Jupiter and natal Neptune are in and the other aspects taking hold to get a full, clear picture of these energies in place now.

Neptune sextile natal Jupiter provides a great opportunity for growth if you put in the effort required.  Don’t waste this energy.
