In the Northern hemisphere, we will be celebrating the summer solstice or Litha on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at 4:24 a.m. EDT. The summer solstice signals the longest daylight of the year. In my area in central Ontario, we will experience approximately 15 hours and 36 minutes of daylight.  The further north, the more daylight time and the further south, the less daylight time.

This powerful solar energy can recharge every ounce of our being -- our spirits, minds and bodies.

All things are energy and energy is interconnected. Some individuals are more in tune and are quite aware of these influential external energies such as the summer solstice. With or without this awareness, all living things are affected by the position of the planets at their birth, by the continual movement of the planets through life (transits), by the influence of the rotation of our earth including the changing seasons and any other shifts that occur in nature.

Guided by spirit/our higher self (call it what you will), we live our truth, both during the easy flow and the more challenging life lessons. How we utilize the energies available and our attitude and focus toward each and every event determines our experience.

Take advantage of the strong solar energies of the Summer Solstice to push forward. Use the more aggressive energies of the Sun to catapult onward and allow yourself to bloom into your own true beauty. Rise above the chatter of your thinking mind (and the relentless outside chatter around us) and simply allow life’s energies. See the world around you for what it is without judgement.

With the summer solstice 2026, the Sun is at at its fullest potential (from our earthly position). You too can allow all your inner power and beauty to radiate out. Express your true self as there is nothing more perfect or authentic.  By allowing your authentic self to bloom, you will benefit and so will each and every living thing that your energy touches.

What a glorious time of year.

Allow yourself to mirror the seasons. We have just experienced the wonderful season of renewal. We hopefully have worked hard to create buds of promise. Now is the time to allow those buds to bear the fruit of our efforts. This beauty and abundance will be seen and experienced by all who share this garden of life with us.

On June 21, 2026, we move from the mutable air sign of Gemini into the cardinal, water sign of Cancer. 

The Cardinal Modality (Cancer, Aries, Libra, and Capricorn) are the initiators of the Zodiac.  They like to be on the move and push ahead with great enthusiasm and energy.  While each sign has its own tendencies as far as push and drive goes, Cancer has to do with family and nurturing.

POWERFUL TRANSITING ASTROLOGICAL CONNECTION

Transiting Pluto and Neptune have been making a Sextile for many years and will continue to do so for some time to come.  The tighter the orb, allowing up to a 5° orb of influence, the stronger the connection.  As mentioned, this is not a new influence but deserves mention as there are tight configurations coming into play as we write this.  June/July of 2026 are under this auspicious connection as are August and September of 2026, and again June to November of 2027.  There are other tight connections after that date as well.

Jupiter while in Leo also tightens up this connection with a Trine to Neptune and an Opposition to Pluto all at 4°.  This all takes place in July of 2026, and very tight from July 19 to the 23. 

Jupiter will enhance this powerful Sextile between Pluto and Neptune bringing potential enlightening experiences for those especially with planets at the 4° range in the birth chart.  Jupiter brings expansion, growth, spiritual or religious inclinations, luck in observation as it entices this configuration.  It is suggested that we take time during this enlightening time to meditate and get closer to our connection with spirit on this earthly plane.

Neptune and Pluto together promote deep concentrated energy leaning toward enlightenment and spiritual enhancement for humanity (Pluto in Aquarius) and in personal terms (Neptune in Aries).  Jupiter in Leo suggests that we jump in and open ourselves up to this powerful energy through meditation and focus. What we can do as an enlightened species for all of our brothers and sisters across the earth?

Those children born with this combination and especially on these dates might well be not only interested in this energy as they mature but be enlightened individuals as well.  The whole chart would have to be studied but it will be fascinating to see how these particular individuals function during the course of their lifetimes.

Those that have a tight connection between Pluto and Neptune and are in an enlightened state understand that this connection has a powerful impact on their existence.  Those just awakening to this energy are aware that there is more going on than meets the eye and believe that something of significance is under way at this time.
