Transiting Saturn is currently in the sign of Capricorn and will remain within the first ten degrees of Capricorn until the end of 2018. This can be a touchy subject but in light of the election recently in Ontario and remembering the plight of women trying to obtain the legal right to vote, we thought this is subject worth reflecting on. For many centuries, women have been segregated and their voices gagged and their human rights ignored. Integration has begun in most countries but not all. It is time to openly recognize and acknowledge women and their role in aiding the overall connection of each and every inhabitant of our world. In many countries, women can now voice their opinions and their hand in the evolution of the human mind and heart is recognized. It is well past time that we listen and act upon their message. Unfortunately, there are still those that believe women have a lesser role to play than man and there are still countries that repress every avenue of living for woman and their rights. What is there to fear? There will always be those that stand in the way of progress, but the majority recognize the important role that women play in every avenue of our society. We see more female leaders and rightfully so. Most women, unlike the men of the past, allow themselves to “feel” in life. They are receptive to the sufferings of others and sensitive enough to truly care. Women openly feel the pain of others (not to say that men do not for this too is evolving). Men have been programmed in the past that emotions are a weakness and many men still battle with this myth today. For those that seek equality and recognition, let the door swing wide open. For those that seek fairness and justice, let their voices be heard. For those that need to be acknowledged for who they are, let them know appreciation and recognition for the important part they play in this journey. We are all part of the whole, and together we can do our part regardless of reproductive organs we were born with. How can these physical organs measure our importance in life? We each and collectively play a significant role in the overall journey of the human race. Today, June 13, 2018, at 3:45 p.m. EST, we will experience the New Moon at 22 degrees of Gemini. A New Moon is when the Sun and the Moon form a conjunction at the exact same degree of a sign. A New Moon’s energies are conducive to initiating a new beginning. We like to refer to this as the planting period in the garden of life. The sign and house position of the New Moon in the astrology chart defines the characteristics and area of life that will be involved with these energies. With this New Moon being at 22 degrees Gemini, anyone having a natal planet or angle within five degrees of this positioning especially by Conjunction (0 degrees), Opposition (180 degrees), Square (90 degrees) or Trine (120 degrees) and to a lesser degree sextile (60 degrees) and quincunx or inconjunct (150 degrees) will be influenced by the New Moon’s positioning in the natal chart. The conjunction is the most powerful aspect indicating a blending of energies. The opposition will be the next most powerful aspect suggesting the influence of others and the square will be next indicating some stress and struggles associated with this positioning. The sextile and trine often bring opportunities and easy flow, while the quincunx indicates that an adjustment is at hand. A New Moon in Gemini often points towards communication and intellectual pursuits. Gemini is intellectually inclined and has the ability to transfer information, to be versatile and adaptable and to change when necessary. Sometimes Gemini will be associated with verbal agreements or written matters. Gemini may be associated with teaching, literature and the signing of documents of importance. Do you feel as though something always seems to stand in the way of progress? Does it feel like no matter what route you choose to follow, you always seem to end up in the same place? Neptune often has a spiritual link while transiting through the chart. Transiting Uranus trine the Moon signifies a great time to make changes to your emotional outlook. There are many ways to determine whether or not your gut instinct is telling you facts or fiction. The best route, and most reliable for that matter, is to align with your intuition. The Kite formation is considered a major aspect configuration in an Astrology chart. It includes a Grand Trine and an opposition from one of the points of the grand trine. At the same time, the opposition, which is not part of the Grand Trine, also makes aspects to two parts of the Grand Trine. This looks like a kite; hence the name. For example, let’s say that you have a Grand Trine between Mercury in Cancer, Venus in Scorpio and the Sun is in Pisces all within a ten degree orb forming a Grand Water Trine. Mercury is in opposition to Saturn which is in Capricorn and Saturn forms a sextile to both Venus and the Sun. The focal planet becomes Saturn as it brings tension into the equation with its opposition to the Sun. This can generate activity and a push which might not otherwise be present due to the high degree of contentment found in the Grand Trine. This opposition challenges the Grand trine, inparticular the Sun which Saturn opposes; however, at the same time, Saturn is also in sextile to Mercury and Venus which softens Saturn’s influence and adds opportunity to rectify a situation presented by the opposition. Often times the Grand Trine is so easy that people refuse to push themselves to develop the talents indicated by the houses and element involved in the Grand Trine. The opposition will create challenges and opposing factors which can motivate the individual into action. The sextiles imply opportunities to help resolve the problem at hand and provide the push to an otherwise comfortable situation. This is considered a very favourable configuration, better than the Grand Trine which does provide opportunities and favourable outcomes, but it can lack the driving force to push ahead and develop talents accentuated by the planets and element. The main notable problem stems from the fact that there are actually three different aspects involved in the configuration (Trine, Sextile and Opposition). This can lead to people committing themselves to resolving this problem and allowing other challenges found within the natal chart to slide by the wayside. Too much concentration on any one area of the chart could be considered compulsive and even generate an obsessed focus. It is always suggested that we work on one problem at a time and find a resolution before beginning with something else, but the individual with a Kite formation strongly emphasized in the chart may spend all their time fixated on this one problem. It general, however, this is considered a very good aspect configuration and provides the trigger to push through any adverse conditions presented by the opposition. How many of us judge others and how they live? Our view of others is tightly intertwined with our personal view of self and more often than not mirrors our own self image. On the flip side, we should not allow ourselves to be affects by others opinions and judgements. Someone else’s opinion says much about them and little about you. They recognize or exaggerate a specific quality in you and because of a lack of self-reflection, do not see this consciously within themselves. Our subconscious is seldom fooled however. We unfortunately can be blind to our own habits and reactions and it is helpful when others share their observations. We just have to keep our ego under control. This can be an excellent personal monitor to assist in self reflection. What others think is their issue. Our own personal opinion of our self is truly important. Because of this, make sure that you are seeing yourself clearly and not selling yourself short. You do not have to please others, but you must be happy with who you are. Take an honest look. Do some self reflection. Sometimes acknowledgment can be challenging but necessary. Other times what we see can expand on our personal view of our expression in a very positive sense. It IS good to reflect and be sure to include all of the great qualities as well. What we focus on expands. Where does your focus lie? This also holds true for others. When we look for fault in others, fault is all that we will see. If we look for the greatness in others, than greatness we will see. How can we judge unless we have walked in their shoes? Do not make career out of judging others. You will never accomplish excellence. Analysis on self and paying attention to our positive attributes ....these we can excel at. On May, 23, 2018, our post covered the square between transiting Neptune for those with the Sun in Gemini. Today we will touch on the quincunx between transiting Pluto and the natal Sun in Gemini. Transiting Pluto is in the sign of Capricorn and will be around the 20 degree mark for all of 2018. Transiting Pluto forms a quincunx or inconjunct to those with their Sun in Pisces in or close to the 20 degree mark. The closer to this degree, the stronger the energies of this aspect will be. The quincunx aspect always speaks of the requirement of an adjustments, and linked with Pluto, this aspect suggests that it is time for a deep evaluation and for an innate unfolding to transpire during the next several months (for those with this aspect strong in their charts). Pluto’s energy wants transformation through searching within and then bringing to the surface what is revealed and making the necessary changes to what this applies to. The house placement of transiting Pluto, the house placement of your natal Sun as well as the placement of natal Pluto will help reveal the areas of life involved. Transiting Pluto will automatically attempt to transform through regeneration and honest reflection as soon as it enters a house. The strongest period is when it sits on the cusp or beginning of the house and this applies to everyone whether or not they have this aspect activated within their chart. (For those with Pluto in quincunx to the natal Sun, the strongest impact will be when it is exactly 150 degree apart). Pluto will spend many years in an Astrology house due to its slow movement and will transform what needs to be changed as it moves through this area of life. Its changes are often irreversible and very significant. Once the change has taken place, what once was is no longer. It can be destructive and extremely impacting and in most conditions is not subtle once it makes itself known. It is best not to fight the energies at hand and make the necessary changes that are being suggested. The more you fight the change, the harder this experience will be. Change is inevitable. The Sun deals with life’s direction, personal identity and goals and objectives. This will be the time when profound changes take place with these focuses. You will be pointed in a direction and a path will be put in front of you. You will need to make changes and alterations along the way so the path becomes clearer or more understandable. These interactions can be quite profound and impacting and the directional change is put in place because a change needs to take place. Again, do not fight the process and see it as it is.
