The Sun moves into the sign of Libra on September 23, 2017. It has just left the conscientious, meticulous sign of Virgo and now moves into a much more moderate energy. This year, 2017, the Fall equinox falls on September 22. The fall equinox (equal division of day and night) is also called Mabon. It is a time to celebrate the reaping of the rewards of our hard labour and gathering the harvest. The Fall equinox is a time of reflection on the harvest of our achievements. The New Moon is the best time to begin new plans, and when in the sign of Virgo, the energies suggest looking after your health’s needs, including a nutritional diet. Many of us sit in wait for the perfect time to move on our goals. We feel as though there is plenty of time to get things done and do not think in terms of time restrictions or delays. There is no greater opportunity than now. All we have is this very moment. There is truly no time like the present. To state this even more precisely, there is only this time at the present. We waste opportunity by sitting back and waiting for the perfect opportunity to present itself. It is said that some things are worth waiting for but does this insinuate inaction? Transiting Saturn is currently in the sign of Sagittarius and will remain within the last ten degrees of Sagittarius well into December, 2017. Do your struggles seem to be endless? The darkest moment is always just before the dawn. Life’s circumstances always rebound and although the course we take is not always the course we had hoped for, our actual journey will transform us and teach us the lessons that we need to learn. You may ask “how long do I have to wait?” when you feel as though you are at the end of my ropes. Truly, there is nothing in this life that you are not strong enough to (or capable of) overcoming unless, of course, you give up and you allow your attitude to sink below the positive focus of your current learning experience. If you actually want to succeed, giving up in reality is not an option. If you can recognize the constant nagging voice that keeps you in your darkest moments, and know it for what it truly is (ego) than you can stop identifying with it and its nagging message. Recognize it for what it is….blah, blah chatter! Nothing can hurt us more in life than our relentless ego and many get so lost in its deceitful message. They believe this negative message to be true and going one step further, they believe that this message is part of the self. When we allow ourselves to bask in the sorrows of ego’s message, we completely identify with its message and making it our own. It is then that we become blind and numb to the truth because we are so engulfed in its message. We become overwhelmed because we forget how to turn it off and are bombarded with ego’s constant defiling message that eventually drowns hope. Recognize any type of negativity. Put ego in its proper place. Channel your thoughts in a different direction when you catch any negative connotations. No matter how hard, force yourself to see the positive in each and every event you experience. In the beginning, it will be hard to find that one small positive spark but if you look deep enough, even in the most bleak moments, there is a shred of light.
