This post applies to those individuals that are born with their Sun in Scorpio and to a lesser degree those born with a Scorpio Ascendant. In 2015, the Sun enters Scorpio on November 24. There are at least three different types of personalities of Scorpio people and as a result it is often a misunderstood sign. Do you feel as though you simply have had enough and wish for something to come along to lift you out of the stress and chaos? All things in life regardless of how they currently feel are temporary. Nothing, absolutely nothing, lasts forever in this earthly existence. Even the most tedious conditions will shift, and you will see your way though any life event. Regardless of what the solution is, we must never give up. We are worth the effort. Letting go and “letting life” is not giving up. There will always be conditions in life that cannot be altered. Addressing them from a different standpoint will guide us to a solution. With perseverance, we will find the best possible solution. Do not give up. We must give each challenge in life our all, believe in ourselves and know that we can move through these lessons. These are stepping stones to great development and achievements. We have the ability to learn lessons and conquer any obstacle in life including any challenging conditions within a birth chart. It can be challenging when we experience traumatic life events and we may wonder who we can turn when life seems to offering little solace. In general Saturn and Mars are opposing energies. Mars likes to push forward and energetically moves into life’s adventures with much enthusiasm. Saturn has a lot to do with restrictions and delays and will always take the tried and tested route. It will not push forward until all of the “T’s” have been crossed and all the “I’s” have been dotted. As you can imagine, these two energies work at odds against one another. The only time they work well together is when you have spent the appropriate amount of time studying a subject or goal and are truly prepared to move ahead. Unfinished work or untidy conditions due to rushing will never work out under a Saturn/Mars aspect. Perhaps you will have a greater chance of success with a trine or sextile but even under these conditions, you will still have to do the ground work and can never cut corners. Saturn is very restrictive in its nature but does provide opportunities for success when the ground work is completed. Mars is always ready to move ahead, so when these two are combined, there is a great push and pull. The energy of Mars is thwarted and stagnated but if we were to pursue something that requires deep study and concentrated energy, following Saturn’s requirements, you just might succeed. Since Mars stimulates the urge for action and is always pushing ahead, the energy of Saturn can cause problems – even confrontations due to frustration. Arguments and anger are often side shoots of this combination. Accidents are also associated with this combination as we tend to want to rush even when we should be cautious. We may feel frustration when attempting to move ahead in our objectives, although if we take our time and realize that in order to achieve what we set out to do it will require steady unobstructed hard work, we can actually achieve a great deal. We must learn to be patient and recognize that it takes time to achieve positive results when Saturn is involved. As mentioned we can become quite irritable which in turn creates arguments and disruptions in the flow of things. Aggressive action will lead to troublesome times. It might not take much to make us angry as progress is often hindered in some way and at times seemingly by others. Everything seems to be moving at a snail’s pace and we just want to get on with things. I suppose Saturn, the task maker, is teaching us patience. We will have to persevere if we want to make any progress at all. If we focus and stay with our task at hand regardless of intrusion and delays, we have the opportunity to accomplish big things, but not without some challenge that we will have to endure and rise above with this aspect. Because of these feelings of stagnation, we can begin to feel sick and our health can be affected in adverse ways. We always have available to us insight into what is transpiring on an intuitive level. If we open ourselves up to the information that is available to us, we would be able to move more readily in directions that are the most appropriate. If there is a time when we are questioning what we should be doing with our life, it is important to understand that what we are in search of is always readily available to us in one form or another. We simply need to recognize the information available and then follow the nudges being offered. We always have the ability to consciously choose what we see fit and usually intuitively we know what it is that you need to do. Our intuition is our guide even though it may seem quite subtle. It is the quiet voice within that offers gentle suggestions. Under most conditions these subtle suggestions provide us with the route of least resistance even though this route may not be the one that we had previously planned to take. The little voice inside can be so quiet that we fluff it off as insignificant and in hindsight we remember thinking we should have done things differently but the message had been quickly forgotten only to be recalled after the fact. Unfortunately, all too often we do not listened as we are not familiar with the voice or its advice. On occasion, however, we allow its gentle advice to move us in a specific direction. More often than not, we allow ego to interference with this guide. Ego seldom, if ever, offers advice that will permanently assist us in overcoming issues and when the challenge returns once again, it usually surfaces with greater intensity and is much more restrictive in its nature. Inner guidance, although subtle, provides us with lasting solutions and can be relied on. If we look back on situations where we have listened to and acted on the gentle nudges and heads up from our intuition, we will note positive outcomes. We will not have to look back in hindsight to realize what we should have done. Intuition is not uncommon. Everyone on one level or another, if we care to listen, has that perceptive little voice that offers advice. When we followed that subtle advice we are usually spared heartache and lessons from the school of hard knocks. When we listen to the message from our intuition on a regular basis, its messages become much easier to acknowledge. Following its advice will assist us in avoiding harsher lessons. This post applies to not only natal Mercury but also progressed Mercury. Mercury is the planet of the mind and communication. There are times when it indicates travel although there would have to be other aspects that point to travel for this to happen. It also deals with everyday life and our mental reaction to these events and people. As mentioned, Mercury is all about communication and this could go as far as telephone conversations and communication through electronic devices such as computers especially when linked to Uranus as Uranus is often linked to electronics and modern technology. Mercury on its own does very little and unless it is in aspect with others planets, it is considered neutral. Mercury takes on the energies of any planet it aspects or is aspected by. When it is aspected by Uranus, communication and mental processing becomes unique, different and far-sighted. Uranus is very impulsive in its action and when joined with Mercury, this could result in intellectual conversation and actions that would be decided on in the moment. You could say that Uranus and Mercury could be considered impulsive in their actions and their thinking energies. Uranus is all about pushing us out of passé thinking and activities and assists us in seeking freedom on some level. When these planets are linked by aspect, thinking is stimulated and erratic ideas may flood the mind. If you take a quick glance at the difficulties facing our world, many issues come down to our financial system. It is clear that it does not work. There are those that barely survive in our so called civilized world and there are those that are rich beyond belief. If we stop for a moment and truly analyse our financial situation, we could put our financial wealth into perspective. Compared your financial standing to those in third world countries. These people struggle just to find meal. There are resources available that could provide much needed assistance and agricultural help that could alleviate or at the very least assist with these struggles. Together we can make this world a better place for everyone and in our own small way, we can start that ripple effect. To be on the giving end, we also are on the receiving end of our gifts. The feeling of knowing that we have truly helped someone in need is immeasurable. We have to be thankful for all that we have in life. By giving to those in need, we also afford them opportunity to experience the same thankfulness and to know that they too are important and worthy.
