Failure is in the mind only. If we do not reach our goals, we are learning valuable lessons and creating steppingstones to move forward. The time and the effort are not wasted. We are not only learning about our goals, but we are recognizing more about ourselves and our abilities. The latter is just as important as the goals we seek.

We always must give our all with no half measures. Be responsible for your efforts, but we can’t always control outcomes due to circumstances beyond our control. If we believe we will fail, we are creating a self-prophesy. Believe in yourself first and foremost.

In life the things that truly matter can take work. We will not always reach our goals, but in all cases, we will learn from our experiences, and we can build from there.

Inner strength is always gained if we look at life from this perspective. Our alignment with life is certainly influenced by our attitude and our efforts. Have a good attitude and give your all. Its a personal investment.

FROM RAGS TO RICHES

Remember where you came from, so the saying goes.

We came into this life to grow and experience. Perhaps we understood the purpose of this life at the very beginning and lost that information at birth.

There are so many unanswered questions but being open to all possibilities allows us the ability to learn, grow and understand. When we speak of rags to riches, we are not speaking of financial wealth. We are speaking of gaining valuable information so that our lessons enhance our lives.

Early in life, we knew little compared to what we know to be truth now. In the beginning all we did is question. In adolescence, we hoped to find ourselves. We wanted answers and we questioned why. For some of us, many questions have been answered but not all of them by any means. Perhaps we are not meant to find these answers, perhaps we are not ready to know the answer.

We were taught to live in the present moment and to appreciate life, even when we experience dark moments. We were taught to open our hearts and arms to others, that we are all one, and how expression and life exchanges cause ripple effects. We work to formulate our next step through meditation and mindfulness. We embraced the moment and recognized that our thoughts, focus and beliefs create reality on some level. We have learned that we are the masters of our life and that although life throws curve ball every now and again we can bounce back and after which we are more resilient and knowledgeable.

Through life’s experience we gained important insight and gathered momentum and matured into who we are today is a far cry from who we were even a few years back, never mind in the beginning. We have come from rags to riches. Can you relate?

You have what it takes, and you and you alone made your life a better experience.

Be the one you wish yourself to be. In that search you will realize that you wouldn’t have a clue who that person is unless they were already part of you.

Shake off any mental shackles or concepts that are less than ideal that you hold on toand allow yourself to be that spiritual entity that you have always been.

Do not limit your capabilities through your beliefs. What are you capable of doing?

The answers are endless as are the experiences waiting to happen.

From Rags to Riches

A WINNING HAND

Are you playing all your (life) cards?

Will you play this round with the best of intensions and with a winning attitude?

Life is not like a card game; however, we do have to play with what we have in front of us. It is better when we understand the process and when to move ahead and when to stand back. As Kenny Rogers sang, “We have to know when to hold them and know when to fold them”. There is a strategy to life, just as there is in a game of cards. It can take time to move ahead and we learn from previous plays or in real terms from previous decisions.

As in a game of cards, life will throw us twists and turns and sometimes we can make things work and other times we just must accept that this is just the way things are. Attitude as mentioned countless times before is a big part in the process and we can fight the inevitable and feel frustrated or we can change our attitude and life then seems more promising.

Some individuals seem to be dealt a winning hand while others have many struggles along their life’s path. Do not compare your journey to others’ journeys. You only know what you see and there is much more to someone’s life than what is on the surface. Focus on your life and ask yourself, “what can I do to make things easier or better” and more importantly “what did I learn from this experience?” There are always lessons. Be ready to learn.

Accept your life in the moment and be open to something favorable coming your way. Formulate an action plan that will build momentum in your favor as you move along. You can expect delays and shortcomings, but you can also expect rewards and benefits you may never had dream of.

We can only play the cards we are dealt. What can you do to make the best of what you have in the moment? Tomorrow is another day; it is always a whole new story.

Remember your perception has a big influence on how you feel. If it is less than ideal, make alterations to your expectation and your focus.

Life might not seem as though it is in your hands but you have full control of your attitude and focus.

You do have a winning hand!
