Shifting with the Wind of Change

The winds of change affect us all.  There are times when we can manipulate the way life is wanting to move us and then there are times when we just have to go with the flow.  One thing is for certain, when the winds of change come, it is time for a shift. 

Change can come suddenly or provide us with warnings.  Often, if we are provided with intuitive warning, we can prepare for these changes.  Our current way of life and the familiar routine may no longer suit our soul’s requirements. We may fight the process but over time we recognize that the changes are in fact required.

These changes can be internal, external, involve others, or be very personal.  Change can have several different faces, but when it’s time, it’s time! 

Do not hold on to the old, outdated ways.  You cannot move forward to the next rung of life if you refuse to let go of the current one you are holding. If you know what must be done, go ahead and do it.  With or without your consent, life will move you in the direction required.  “Allowing” makes that transition much easier and likely much faster.

If life is hard right now, know that this too will change. Learn the lesson being taught and allow.

Change is guaranteed.  Growth is a requirement. Resistance creates harder lessons. Keep shifting with the wind of change, as required.

SATURN SEXTILE NATAL NORTH NODE

When deciphering the information in this article, the placement of the North Node and South Node in your astrology chart will be extremely important.  The North Node has to do with what we have come into this incarnation to learn from, achieve, and build on, and the South Node speaks of what we should let go of and what is comfortable for us (this is determined by the sign and house position). 

Transiting Saturn Sextile Natal North Node

When Transiting Saturn makes a Sextile to your Natal North Node, it also makes a Trine to your Natal South Node.  This can be a time of great opportunities when it comes to your path forward.  You may find that your eyes are finally open to what the next step might be as you move forward through life lessons seen as adverse or a slow progress forward (again related to the energies associated with the North Node’s positioning). 

An example might be for someone who has a North Node in Aries (and therefore a South Node of Libra). This would encompass the need to step forward with your own ambitions.  It must be personal although others might be affected as well. The time has come to recognize your personal ambitions and to press forward to fulfill them. With the North Node in Aries in our example, you cannot rely on others to do the work for you (which would likely have been the case in a previous lifetime, or you might have been so tied up in helping others prior to this lifetime that it seems almost out of character to move towards something that suits your personal needs).

With the South Node in Libra, continuing with this configuration example (NN in Aries, SN in Libra), in the past, you were always in the shadows of what was taking place.  Now, your objectives must be met and with the example South Node, you may be able to use your compassionate and diplomatic nature to assist in maintaining this process that is required.  You have ideas on how to maneuver your way forward but a part of you wants to do this for others, when in fact you need to do this for yourself first. Others will likely benefit over time, but you must advance for your own benefit first and foremost.

Saturn may make this progress a little more difficult because it insists that we work diligently for our rewards.  You will have to put in the work required to achieve your objectives and do not let any negativity delay the process. 

Saturn sextile Natal North Node is energy designated for you! The harder you work towards your goals, the greater the chance of success.  The effort and the prolonged period will be worth it. Keep pushing forward even when there seems to be obstacles in the way. 

Perseverance will pay off over the long haul and if Saturn should go into retrograde during the time span, you will have several opportunities before you finalize what it is you may be pushing towards.

CANCER FULL MOON 2026

On January 3, 2026, at 5:04 a.m. EST, we will be experiencing a Full Moon in the sign of Cancer at 13°.  This will be a supermoon and is known as the “Wolf Moon”.

This Cancer Full Moon (as with all full moons) forms an Opposition to the Sun, and in this case, it also forms an Opposition aspect to Venus at 12° and Mars at 14° in Capricorn. 

For this Full Moon to have an effect on you (a Full Moon is a culmination of what began when the New Moon was in the same sign {Cancer} some six months ago), you will have to have other planets or angles (ASC, DC, MC, or IC) making a Conjunction or Opposition to the full moon’s placement within a three-degree orb.

CANCER FULL MOON 2026

 As mentioned, the Full Moon is a culmination cycle indicating the end of cycle which began when the New Moon was in Cancer (in this case).  When in the sign of Cancer, the family might be involved, the whole idea of nurturing is heightened and this could be towards self or another in need. Mothering and supporting are important. You want to get to the bottom of what is taking place regardless of whether it is considered good or bad.  You want to find the truth of the matter. 

The work you have put in since the Cancer New Moon is reflective of the results you will reap.  Now is the time to harvest your efforts. Because this is a Cancer Full Moon, your intuitive side may be enhanced, and you just seem to know or even better “feel” what the situation calls for.  The house position in your astrological chart defines the area of life involved, but family and the home likely are a part of this scenario.

Because Venus, the planet of love and affection, and Mars, the planet of drive and ambition, are involved through transit, this could be speaking of an important relationship.  Don’t forget the Sun, which is always in Opposition to the Moon during the Full Moon cycle, is now Conjunct the placement of Venus and Mars.  This makes it quite personal and may also affect your path in life.  You feel that you know how to move forward, although if there are challenges within the framework of the natal chart at the same time, there can be hurdles.  You seek out control of the situation by making decisions for those involved with a sense of confidence because of the concern and genuine care and love you have for these involved.

There will be a drive to meet the needs of those involved and although family is likely involved, you will also have to take into consideration your own personal needs.  You matter as well, and you can’t do things just for others. You must think about your needs. 

This is a powerful time where other people are involved due to the Sun/Moon Opposition.  They may influence your decision making by trying to force their opinions on you.  You must make the final decisions unless you agree wholeheartedly with what they are saying.

Cancer Full Moon 2026 is an emotional time, likely involving family and loved ones. You feel driven to nurture and help. Remember your own personal needs too.
