2026 ASPECTS FOR SUN IN LEO

Today, we are focusing on the 2026 Aspect for Sun in Leo.

Over the next year or so, those with their Sun in Leo (depending on the degree of their Sun) will have their Sun making a Trine to transiting Neptune and Saturn as well as a Sextile to Transiting Uranus.  These aspects are considered quite favorable and should make life a little easier for those with their Sun in the degrees aspecting these outer planetary movements. 

Neptune (in Aries) and Uranus (in Gemini) are in the early degrees of the sign, while Saturn moves from 0 to 14° (in the sign of Aries for the 120° trine). We will not go into detail on these aspects as this article would be far too extensive.

We will discuss the energies of Transiting Pluto which is also in the early degrees in Opposition (180°) to early degree Sun in Leo, and Jupiter making a Conjunction (0°) to those with their Sun in Leo beginning June 30 and moving into retrograde on December 12, 2026.

Jupiter then goes direct again April 12, 2027.  Jupiter goes as far as 27° Leo and moves down as far back as 16° before turning direct again. This will affect anyone with their Sun through any of these degrees at different periods throughout Jupiter’s movement in Leo.

Jupiter expands on energy related to the Sun during this period and often brings good luck and fortunate conditions to life as it makes direct contact with your Sun.  Events in the areas of life indicated by house position will move along favorably, and you can benefit from this.  Of course, the Natal potential is realized during this time but much depends on the other natal aspects to the position of your Leo Sun. You also have to take into consideration how Natal Jupiter is aspected and its house position in the natal astrology chart to get a clearer picture of what might unfold during this time frame.

This may affect your goals in life, life’s passage forward, opportunities in personal terms, physical health and matters pertaining to your growth which can be favorable during this timeframe.

Now to Pluto which is making an Opposition in the early degrees of those with their Sun in Leo brings attention often from others or related to others on the course of your choosing.  Transformation is at hand and a new direction in life may be revealed.  Most Astrologer look at the Opposition as a challenging aspect and I agree, but at the same time, what takes hold in life, which is often out of your control, over time, takes you to where you need to go, no matter how it may look in the beginning.  It will likely take about 2 years to understand the process of what unfolded over this period. 

The 2026 aspects for Sun in Leo suggest changes take place in personal terms and the potential for ego disputes is higher than normal.  Do not sit back and do nothing. Pay attention to the underlying energies taking place. How is this moving you forward?

This is a learning process and often quite significant as others point the way. We are taught by our reaction to what takes hold.

The Sun moves into the sign of Leo on July 22, 2026.

Leo individuals are born to be leaders.  This is due to their confidence and ambitious nature.  They want to make a name for themselves or at the very least receive recognition for their efforts. 

Leonians are team leaders and failure is not an option. If they come up short, they can be hard on themselves but usually recover well.

They require feedback for their efforts. A pat on the back to acknowledge their efforts goes a long way.

These individuals are always there to lend a helping hand even if the recipient may feel they have everything well under control on their own.  Stronger personalities may not like Leo’s drive for control of situations, but Leonians do this from their heart. 

Leo rules the heart.

Leo individuals like to have fun and, in many ways, refuse to grow up.  There is often a child quite alive within and this child is allowed out to play.

The fifth house, naturally ruled by Leo, is the house of gambling and the enjoyment of life. Leo individuals take life seriously but also want to live a full life venturing beyond what the general public may look to do.

These individuals are loyal, committed, generous in their actions, protective of others and stand their ground when adversity confronts them.  Many are considered quite courageous.  Most Leonians will not back down from a fight.  This is not to say that they are physically aggressive, but they will, from a verbal perspective, stand their ground.

Make a friend in Leo and you might have a friend for life, unless you hurt them emotionally.  They don’t forget emotional pain which runs deep.  They hate disappointment and always wish the best in life for themselves and for others.

Since Transiting Neptune moves through a sign of the Zodiac in approximately 14 years, it is this astrologer’s opinion that it carries forward with it the energies of the previous sign that it just transited through, an orb of influence, if you wish, from the past sign.  I have not done a consensus with other Astrologers, but I certainly think it is worth considering.

Transiting Neptune moved into Aries on a permanent basis (no more retrograding back to Pisces) on January 26, 2026.  It was in Pisces for approximately 14 years prior to this date.  I like to a 3° orb of influence as this is when the energy is still recognizable from its previous sign placement.  So, Pisces will still have an influence although weakening towards the end of 2026.

In Pisces, many people found a renewed or first-time interest in the psychic realm.  The door seemed to open, even if only with curiosity.  Information and experience were gained throughout much of this cycle.  Looking at the house where Neptune was transiting through and the Natal positioning by house and aspect in your personal Astrology chart provides you with more information as to how this might work out for you personally.

This is not to say that everyone became overly affected in this manner, as Neptune also has its other side which includes illusiveness, confusion, and vagueness. Pisces can be often associated with drug and alcohol consumption and the wish to escape harsh reality.  This may have also been associated with other individuals in your life.  Neptune also has other facets to its personality, far too many to mention in this short article.

If Neptune in Pisces had a psychic influence on you perhaps Neptune moving into Aries carried this forward in a much more personal way.  Perhaps you can begin using this ability in a more personal manner and you have and will paid more attention to how you are living your life according to higher psychic/spiritual principles of love and compassion. Perhaps this is the time the door opens more from an internal perspective and allow Neptunes’ energy to infiltrate your inner being.

Have a closer look at your true potential and begin using this openly. Make changes in this direction, where needed, so that you can foster in the change that is required in your own personal environment. This in turn will affect all of us as the ripple effect moves through each of us.  Just a thought. What is your opinion?
