On October 23, 2026, the Sun moves from Libra, a Cardinal air sign to Scorpio, a water sign, under the Fixed modality.  Those with a Fixed Modality (Aquarius, Taurus, Leo and Scorpio) all share the characteristics of being stubborn and not easily being swayed.  They believe in themselves, which can make it hard to sway them once they are clenched on something they truly believe in.  This is, however, just one aspect of a Fixed Modality.

As mentioned, they always have a part of themselves which is hidden, but on the opposite side of the coin they will uncover most anything that lies beneath the surface in others.  They can be quite intuitive and insightful when it comes to investigative work.  The look in their eyes often suggests that nothing is hidden from them.  Their gaze is fascinating for some and brings a feeling of uncomfortableness for others. 

Scorpio is ruled by Pluto and co-ruled by Mars.  Pluto is engaging if not probing while Mars can be considered somewhat aggressive.  The typical Scorpio does have a degree of power within their character.  People often listen when they speak and, in many cases, they are the quiet type and only speak when they need to speak. Scorpio can be quite blunt when they do decide to speak.  They are very much too the point and even a bit forceful.

Scorpio often carries a bad reputation for being overly promiscuous and are known to be very sensual individuals.  Under most conditions, once they become involved with someone whom they view as a worthy partner and whom they love, they are less likely to have extra marital affairs.  They can become devoted and quite loyal to those they truly are connected with.

Scorpio, a water sign, is deeply emotional but rarely reveals this part of themselves.  Once they do, however, it can be quite explosive. In many cases, they don’t forget anyone who has wronged them in some way. 

The undeveloped Scorpio individual will resort to some level of revenge believing, due to circumstances, it is their right due to the circumstances.  This “class” of Scorpio, is known as the Scorpion. THERE IS SO MUCH MORE TO ASTROLOGY THAN YOU SUN SIGN

Nearly everyone knows their Sun sign (the Zodiac sign they were born under), but did you know that in astrology it runs much deeper than your sun sign? 

Some individuals are born on the cusp of the previous or next sign, depending on what day you were born.  Those born under these circumstances are known as cusp sign sun personalities.  They carry traits of both the sign they were born under and the second cusping sign.

The Sun has an orb of influence of 16°, and every sign encompasses 30°.  For example, if your Sun was at 1° Aquarius, you would have 9° Aquarius and 7° Capricorn tendencies (because the sun sign prior to Aquarius is Capricorn).  Another example would be if your Sun was at 29° Aquarius, you would have 9° Aquarius and 7° Pisces (because the sun sign after Aquarius is Pisces). 

The Sun sign defines who we are internally and those that know us well can relate to the inner Sun sign character traits. (Our outside personality or the personality we show to the world, is defined by our Ascendant, also known as the Rising Sign.  But this will be discussed a little later.)

We also have our Moon which also has its own sign. The Moon’s sign in our chart also has a 30° range.  The Moon represents our emotional response and the feelings we have about life in general.  The Moon is our emotions, our sensitivity and our way of dealing with the world through our emotional response.  For example, if you have the Moon in Cancer, you are very sensitive to your environment, family concerns are an important part of what you relate to and your response to sensitive issues is an emotional one.  Cancer tries to keep the emotions intact, but it’s not easy and sometimes they just surface no matter how hard the Cancer Moon tries to bury them. 

On the contrary, if you have your Moon in Capricorn, your emotional response to life situations is kept totally under control, and you seem to be well contained when it comes to emotional outbursts of expression. The lack of showing emotion, however, only masks hidden emotions.

We also have what is known as our rising sign or Ascendant as mentioned earlier. The rising sign is our reaction or statement that we show to the world, especially when we first meet people and face experiences in the external world.  In many cases, the rising sign is also suggestive of how we look and our body shape, although with so many now using medical procedures to change their appearance, it is not as accurate as it was years ago. 

Our external expression to the world with an Aries Rising sign would be quite different from say a Scorpio Ascendant.  The Aries Rising personality is outgoing, confident and in some cases, rather pushy. Aries want things to take place immediately, while the Scorpio Ascendant personality is much more reserved and tends to listen before they speak. Others seem to pay attention to a Scorpio Rising individual when they speak.  Aries are very out-front and open, while Scorpio has a more hidden, secretive persona to the outside world.  Quite often there is something mysterious about a Scorpio Rising sign.

We also have Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto located within the framework of our birth chart as well as part of fortune, moon’s nodes, asteroids, chiron and the list goes on.  The birth chart is a snapshot of the heavens the instant we were born with all of the planets surrounding the earth which would be in the center of the 360° circle what represents our chart diagram.  The circle is divided into 12 sections which are known as the houses and each house represents an area of life.  The planets at birth are located in these houses and their particular energies are released into areas of life and traverse (transits) with our life as we move forward from our birth.

Astrology runs much deeper than our quick little description in this article, but we were thinking of those with a new interest in Astrology. We thought we would provide some insight into the workings of Astrology.  The natal or birth chart speaks of our personality and our strengths and challenges.

Astrology can also be used as a timing device for ongoing energies in place in our personal life experiences and for so much more.

There is much more to Astrology than your sun sign.  It is an endless study and such a valuable tool.  With the proper tools, we can accomplish and/or overcome anything in life. Astrology offers insights to assist with your choices!

ASPECTS FOR SUN IN LIBRA PART II

ASPECTS FOR SUN IN LIBRA, PART II

Today we will touch on those individuals who have their Sun in the early degrees of Libra or late degrees of Libra and the impact of transiting Uranus and Transiting Pluto.  You can allow a 5–7° orb of influence. 

While in retrograde, Uranus moves from 5° Gemini to 1° degree. 

While in retrograde Pluto, which is in Aquarius, moves from 3° and turns direct on October 15, 2026 when it is still 3° of Aquarius.

Those with their Sun in Libra in the early degrees and while Uranus is in retrograde from 5° to 1° Gemini, Uranus will make a trine aspect to your Libra Sun.  Those with their Sun in the late degrees of Libra will have Uranus making a Quincunx to their Libra Sun. 

The Trine from Uranus suggests an easy flow for making needed changes and taking a new directions to where you actually need to go in life.  Goals and aspirations and the path ahead are subject to change, and the trine aspect can make this new direction seem quite favorable and making decisions on moving in that direction should flow well. 

The quincunx from Uranus (Thos with the last degree Libra Sun) suggests that an adjustment must be made.  Perhaps you are comfortable with the way life has been moving and now unexpectedly you find yourself changing directions and you will need to adjust. It might not be an easy adjustment but it is necessary.

Those Librans with their Sun in the early degrees of Libra will have transiting Pluto also making a Trine to this position, forming a Grand Trine with Uranus and the Sun.  A Grand Air Trine is very favorable and speaks of an easy flow mentally, with clear understanding of the path forward and that the changes that are in force (because both Uranus and Pluto speak of change and new beginnings) will take you to where you need to go.

Those with their Sun in the later degrees of Libra, which is close to Scorpio, will have Transiting Pluto making a Square to this position.  This is not an easy aspect and indicates some hurtles to overcome likely suggesting an ending of sorts and then a new beginning.  With this aspect there may be some ego disputes, and you may feel at the mercy of life. The stress created by the Square aspect, however, often pushes us to find ways to resolve the issue. Sun in late Libra must put in the effort for this change to work for them. It can take time to realize the benefits of these actions.

Aspects for Sun in Libra Part II suggests stabilizing yet revolutionary change for Librans. Work with the energies to reap the rewards.
