TRANSITS TO SUN IN VIRGO 2025

Transits to Sun in Virgo 2025

Today we will review some of the transits that will influence those with their Sun in Virgo over the coming year.

Transiting Mercury is in the sign of Virgo from September 2-19, 2025 while transiting Venus is in Virgo from September 19 through to October 13, 2025.  They will not make a conjunction with one another, but as they move through Virgo, they will make connections to all those with their Sun in the sign of Virgo. 

Transiting Pluto is in the early degrees of Aquarius and will stay in this sign for many years to come. Pluto will make aspect to some Sun in Virgo by Quincunx. Check your chart for the appropriate degree (150°) to see if your chart is influenced. The orb of approaching Pluto to those influenced is 4-5° while the separating influence is about 2°.

The Conjunction of Mercury affects the areas of communication, interaction, your thought process and can indicate short trips.  Mercury is often tied to teaching/learning, all education and is intense when it comes to communication of all sorts.  Mercury rules both Virgo and Gemini.

When Mercury connects with the Virgoan’s Sun, for about 7 days, you will perhaps ingulf yourself in deep thought, and communicate with yourself ideas that may further your goals in life.  Perhaps you are preparing for schooling or may educate yourself and learn the use of specific tools that may help you professionally.  The Mercury contact is a good time for educating yourself, open communication with others and evaluating what you might want to do as you move forward in your quest for understanding and knowledge.

When Venus interacts with your Virgoan Sun, (which also lasts approximately 7 days) you might want to include what you were planning with your friends and associates.  Perhaps the planning process is now in the organization stage.  Socializing is often a part of the process, and you may find yourself more involved with others, perhaps entertaining them or going to gatherings. 

For some, this can be a time of love and affection.  Perhaps you meet someone under this influence and decide to allow the relationship to develop and you share affection.  Perhaps the next step is in order.  Much will depend on the houses involved in your chart for both Mercury as well as Venus while in aspect.  These will be the areas of life being influenced by the energies.

When Pluto enters the scene, it will be a long-lasting aspect that will play an important role in your life lasting several years and usually not fully understood for about 2 years.  Pluto is about transformation and regeneration.  It can indicate power problems or struggles associated with your goals in life, or a need to make changes to the path you are on.  There are no half measures when Pluto is involved and, in many cases, what was in place will go through dynamic changes and something new comes into play as you may have to leave something behind.

A quincunx always indicates that an adjustment is necessary.  Because of the changes that Pluto often brings, you will have to adjust to where life is taking you and fighting the process is futile as where you are going is exactly where you are meant to go in this place in time.  Pluto is dynamic in its energies and sometimes the change taking place is hard to adjust to, but over time, you will adjust and reap the rewards of life’s new avenues of expression.

SUN IN VIRGO 2025

Sun in Virgo 2025

On August 22, 2025, the Sun moves from the Fixed Fire sign of Leo into the Mutable Earth sign of Virgo. 

As a side note, with signs that are on the cusp of another sign, energies from the two signs interact with one another.  The further into the sign (up to 7°) the less the previous sign has an influence on the individual’s personality traits.  A sign which is less than 1° is almost equal in personality traits of both signs.  With this in mind, you can read our Sun in Leo 2025 article from July 21, 2023 https://holmastrology.blogspot.com/2025/07/sun-in-leo.html  if your sun sign cusps both Leo and Virgo.  The same applies to the other end of the Virgo Sun sign with Libra. Those with their Sun firmly integrated into the sign of Virgo will view life from a microscopic perspective.  They incorporate all of life’s conditions into their scope and do not miss anything that enters their scope of influence.  They have a keen eye for detail on a most minute scale and see all the tiniest of flaws and imperfections, seeking perfection at every turn. 

Depending on the rest of the chart, most Virgoan are very conservative.  They like the tried, tested and true. They value experience.  Their comfort level depends on this, and some can go to extremes when it comes to seeking out the perfect situation.  They are extremely service oriented and are naturally equipped with problem-solving skills.  They offer advice and truly want to help anyone in need of their assistance. 

As mentioned, they see the tiniest flaws and this goes deep especially within themselves.  They would do well if they were to also pay attention to their own unique beneficial qualities and accept that nothing is perfect and flaws are a part of life.  Relaxing judgements and not being so hard on themselves would ease the tension that some of these individuals experience. 

Virgo individuals are curious by nature and intellectualize life’s matters.  They are rational thinkers, depending on the placement of Mercury. Mercury is their ruling planet which is also known for its intellectual complexities. 

Virgoans come across as self-contained and they are quite reliable. 

Again, they tend to worry and if things are not in its proper place, this is when they tend to worry, causing anxiety that may not need to be there, or at least not to the degree that it is.  Relaxing and “letting life” at times would decrease the anxiety that may be caused by  life’s more complex matters.

Cleanliness and hygiene are also prominent factors for those with their Sun in the sign of Virgo.  Everything has its place and if things are not in order, this is a clear indicator that the Virgoan is out of balance. 

Virgo individuals love organization and would do well in any field that is service oriented and requires organization.  They will truly do their very best, and you will find little to be dissatisfied with if a Virgo worker has done the job.  They require service oriented, routine type jobs so the choices are endless for a Virgo seeking employment.

Transiting Mercury and transiting Venus will soon align with those with their Sun in Virgo although only for a short time frame as these planets move quickly through each sign.  Transiting Pluto will be in Quincunx to those with their Sun in the early degrees of Virgo.  We will touch on these three connections on August 25.

2024 ASPECTS FOR SUN IN VIRGO

2024 Sun in Virgo

Much of what we are writing about will depend on which degree the Sun in Virgo is in the birth chart and which houses are involved.  It is important to have a look at the potential provided in the natal chart to understand the outcome of the transits that we will speak about. 

Transiting Neptune and transiting Saturn are both in Pisces which makes them in opposition to those with their Virgo Sun within the same degrees currently occupied by these two powerful outer planets. 

Oppositions are considered challenging and often involve other people.  In many cases, our plans are disrupted because of these individuals, and we must find a way to deal with or get past their influence.  In most cases when other people are making suggestions, we should listen to their advice. In some cases, their advice will be very helpful and in other cases, they may cause a hinderance.  We must learn to work with both depending on what is being proposed.

Neptune in the case of oppositions to the Sun (currently in August, 2024 Neptune is at 29° Pisces) suggests that you may not be able to see things clearly or do not have a clear understanding of what is taking place.  There may be some vagueness to your goals and aspirations because people seem to be feeding you wrong information or information that does not jive with your plans.  Depending on how long this has been in play in your chart and the houses involved, this may have been going on for a long time or you may have felt it coming for some time now. 

Saturn on the other hand (Saturn is currently at 17° Pisces and in retrograde) will be in its retrograde cycle until mid-November, 2024. Saturn works more favorably when in retrograde than when it is direct.  There will still be delays and some obstacles in the way at this time but with hard work and a well-organized effort, you can accomplish much during this phase.  Your superiors may be of assistance, but things may not move ahead as quickly as you might wish they would.  Things seem to move too slowly but there likely is a logical reason for this if you were to take a closer look. 

Your objectives, and on a more personal level, your inner self is going through a time when things will shift.  It will likely be some time before you get a real feel for which direction life is taking you.  You may be doing some inner reflection and will make significant changes at this time but be patient and listen to advice. When you make up your mind as to which direction to follow, the door will open. You are currently learning about yourself and will make changes as time passes.

The 2024 aspects for Sun in Virgo signify a vagueness with your goals with delays and obstacles all likely coming from others. Be patient. Change is coming, both inward and outward. Happy solar return to our Virgo readers.
