The New Moon will be at 10 degrees Leo today, August 2, 2016. As with all New Moon phases, the Sun and Moon are in conjunction and with this particular New Moon the Moon and Sun are also in trine to Transiting Saturn. A New Moon is a time for beginnings and in the sign of Leo this will be a time when you can take a leading role with moving towards a direction that not only enhances your creative potential (particularly if this New Moon is found in the fifth house), but also provides an aggressive instinctual push with reaching your objectives. If you have had an idea or have been putting together a plan that has the potential for growth on some level, (whether this be on a personal level, through a business proposition or with the purpose of reaching a goal of any kind) this combination (especially so with Saturn providing stability and purpose) can be quite rewarding when the Full Moon in Leo reaches its culmination point in about six months’ time. Saturn will make sure that you do the groundwork or will at least propose that you take this route so that the opportunities that are in place will have the framework for success and a prosperous outcomes. Once again, this can be on a personal level of achievement or perhaps a business proposal. It is wise to have a look at your natal chart and see if you have other planets making aspects to this conjunction (as well as the Transiting Saturn). This will help you understand what areas of life are involved as well as whether you will have challenges in reaching your goals or if the transition will run smoothly. You will have the potential for greater success in reaching your objectives if for example you have Jupiter or Venus as part of the equation and particularly so if they are in fortunate aspects to this configuration. It is important to always look at the natal potential in your chart when reviewing your potential for easy success or hard work. This is not to say that a challenging natal aspect has little chance of succeeding, only that you may have to work extra hard to reach these goals and aspirations work. If, for example, the MC is involved, this could suggest opportunities with your profession, perhaps recognition for your hard work and advancement of some kind. If the DC is involved perhaps this will be a time for marriage or a proposal of such, or the relationship becomes more involved and has implications of longevity. Pluto’s energies in Astrology are always suggestive of change. It brings about some transformation in life, change that usually have been trying to reach your attention for some time. Saturn is quite contrary to Pluto. Saturn resists change and adheres to what is known and comfortable. As you can imagine, these two energies (Pluto and Saturn) can be quite problematic. Pluto is about evolutionary change and suppressing these needed changes can cause havoc in life. It is beyond the normal ranges of change that Pluto is asking for and in many cases it first appears in the subconscious and then comes to the surface for your acknowledgement and then causes change in your outer world. The suppression of Pluto’s energies can actually become unsafe, as these energies need to be released. You are much better off dealing with what stands before you and assisting the change than you are trying to keep things as they are or to ignore the needed change. Disruption and even violent outbursts of energy can be the result of quashing or ignoring these energies. You need to focus on bringing about the change in your life that is being suggested or something will make it happen through force. Forceful changes are aggressive and disruptive. Often after much deliberation, you will find that the final changes that you decided upon were inevitable after all and although it may take some adjustment to adapt to these new avenues of expression, in the end they are just what the doctor ordered. Pluto brings about development and progress often after some struggle and the recognition of what needs to take place in your life. What takes place in your life now will have ramifications at a later date often when Saturn squares this position in 7 years and again when it opposes it in 14 years. Sometimes the changes that take place have to do with finances or the structure of your life. Potentially your work may be involved. These areas of life will become a focal point although much will depend on where Saturn is transiting in your chart (house position). The house position will be the area of life that is being affected. You can also look at which cusp is being ruled by Saturn in your chart (which house cusp has Capricorn on it or contained within it). We are continuing our look at Neptune aspecting Venus from our previous posts on July 25 and 27, 2016. When transiting Neptune makes an aspect to Venus make sure your blinders are off. Keep them out of reach as you will be tempted to put them on. You can fall in love with love and dream about the perfect union with such great intensity that what you see may just be a creation of your imagination. Do your struggles never seem to cease? If it feels as though your back is against the wall and you are not sure which way to turn, remember the darkest moment is always just before the dawn. Life’s circumstances always rebound and although the course we take is not always the course we had hoped for, our true journey will transform us and teach us the lessons that we will need in our future. When we allow ourselves to bask in the sorrows of ego’s message, we completely identify with its message and making it our own. It is then that we become blind and numb to the truth. We become overwhelmed because we forget how to turn it off and are bombarded with ego’s constant defiling message that drowns hope. Recognize negativity. Put ego in its proper place. Channel your thoughts in a different direction. No matter how hard, force yourself to see the positive in each and every event you experience. In the beginning, it will be hard to find that one small positive spark but if you look deep enough, even in the most bleak moment, there is a shred of light. There will be moments for all of us that we are faced with life changing decisions. All change can be difficult if we do not let go of the passed to move into our future. Our positive decisions can open doors of opportunities unlike we have ever know. It is frightening to release our grip on the past even if the things and people of our past no longer serves us but we do have the strength to let go so that we can reach forward to grasp our future. We began our look at transiting Neptune aspecting Natal Venus on July 25, 2016. If Neptune in square to Venus in the natal chart, this is often suggestive of an individual that displays the more susceptible side of this combination and they will be the one that is infatuated with romance and they could place their loved one on a pedestal. They see love through rose coloured glasses and either over idealize their partner or are overly suspicious of them. In some way, their view on love and romance is tainted. Individuals with the opposition are often susceptible to being used and they could over-identifying with the love that surrounds them. Those individuals who have a trine and sextile will find that the people they are attracted to and those that are attracted to them will be reliable in their response. They will have a much easier time when it comes to love. They can be more realistic in their approach and may attract the perfect partner and discover a deep and true spiritual connection. As with the trine and sextile between Neptune and Venue, this is also the case with the more challenging aspects but they may go through several relationships before the person of their dreams becomes a reality. We are continuing our post on meditation from July 21, 2016. We cannot stress how important it is to stay open to the possibility that you can get to experience great meditations. All too often people listen to their ego and they come to believe that they could not possibly have a meaningful contact with their guides and higher self. Ego may suggest that you are not evolved enough or not spiritual enough or simply not able. Understand that any thoughts that say it can’t be done are ego generated. Everyone has the ability; it is a natural born ability for us all. When attempting to contact a higher source, create the feeling that you are waiting for someone to knock on the door or for someone to walk in. You know they are coming and you are waiting on them to enter or make themselves known to you. This anticipation opens the door and allows the energies to enter your awareness. Many of your guides will operate on different frequencies. Some may have a difficult time communicating, while others are quite adept at communication. Once you open the door, they enter freely and easier. Know that you are in search of someone who is God centred and highly evolved. Make this known. Ask for the pure of heart and for guidance that will further your pure evolution. Above all else, do not let fear (ego generated) to enter into the experience. This will halt everything. Neptune is currently in the sign of Pisces. If transiting Neptune and Natal Venus were conjunct in a chart, natal Venus would also be in Pisces. The energies of this conjunction would influence the client to seek out the perfect spiritual union. There would be a tendency to put their lover on a pedestal and idealize them. There is a great need for an understanding of each other that goes far beyond the mundane concepts and everyday understanding in a standard relationship. With this aspect, there has to be a connection that knows no boundaries, where love can reach heights unattainable through normal expectations. On July 23 of this year, the Sun will move into the sign of Leo which is a fixed fire sign. Those with strong Leo tendencies (this will include not only having the Sun in Leo, but also having the rising sign in Leo or several planets in the fifth house) are natural leaders. Relatives that have passed over and your guides are never very far away. They are with you frequently and are at your side especially in times of need. Your guides do change over time as they are there to help you during specific times in your life and when their particular energies and expertise fit your areas of required growth at the time. Many guides will come and go but there can be specific guides that are with you during your life time. For those wanting to enjoy a clear connection with their guides, meditation is a wonderful tool. To help get started, there are meditation techniques available from many sources and you will undoubtedly find at least one or more that will work well for you. Your particular vibration fits certain procedures and you will have to find one or several that suit you. Keep trying until you find what resonates with you and allows the energies to come through. Do not expect some over-the-top experience. The connection is very subtle at least in the early stages. It is like a muscle, it takes practice and experience to get consistently good at clearing your mind. Alternatively, you can meditate without any assistance from outside sources as the sounds of nature or simple silence may be your most helpful aid to silence your mind. There will be times when you are connecting and you may not even be aware of it. This often deters some of us from continuing our practice as we feel as though we are getting nowhere or that our progress is stifled. Watch for ego intervention, as ego will tell you that you are never ready for this connection. Understand that you are always ready and you would not even be attempting to connect unless you were ready. Some meditation experiences are simple silence and peace. Do not underestimate this experience. It is a wonderful one. Reduce the chatter and rejuvenate the soul, mind and body. This mediation brings us the strength and courage during trying times. To still the mind also helps us to de-stress. Some meditations allow the subtle voice within to provide us with valuable information. This quite voice does not operate the same way that the mind does. Sometimes the mind will repeat the words offered by our guides or higher self because the way you tap into these subtle connections do not come through on normal channels. Some people’s experiences suggest that the words received from spirit/guides/higher self are not actually in the form of normal spoken words as the message is received instantaneously. It does not take the normal time for the information to be processes such as when we are listening to verbal information. It is as though everything is being said in an instant and comprehension is complete and clear also in the instant that the information is provided to us from our guides. It is as though a whole sentence or even a paragraph is said instantaneously, all at once and this is foreign to the physical mind so our minds repeats the words. Transiting Uranus has an 84 year cycle. In other words it takes Uranus approximately 84 years to circle the zodiac and move back to the original position where it was located at the time of your birth. As a result, it is most likely that Uranus will trines its natal position twice in a life time. Its first contact by trine is around the age 28 closely aligning with your first Saturn return, and the second will be at age 56, which is a couple of years prior to your second Saturn return. Both of these positions will vary in energy from individual to individual primarily because of the location of transiting Uranus as well as the position of Natal Uranus by house position in each of our charts. The first trine of Uranus to Uranus is significant because of the massive changes that will occur as a result of this trine and as a result of the Saturn return. The Trine to Uranus initiates a desire for change and the want to break free and begin anew or start over, utilizing the information obtained through life experiences up to the point of the trine. Uranus wants to shake things up and a trine usually suggests affirmative changes. There will be a desire to break free from the influence of your parents and sometimes your peer group because this time is often referred to as the transition from young adulthood into maturity and with maturity comes responsibility. You will want to be able to do the things that you want and be able to express yourself more precisely during this time than during any time prior to this period. With the Saturn return quickly at the heels of this trine to Uranus, responsibilities are sure to come your way and rather quickly. As a result, this is a time of gaining inner strength and resilience so you are ready for whatever your Saturn’s return will bring. This includes finding a suitable mate if you do not already have an appropriate one, finding an occupation that suits your ever changing needs, (which I promise will settle after the Saturn return) and to break free of any restrictive life influences that have been holding you back. The second trine at the age of 56 is quite different as you will be in a totally different state of mind and look at life from a different vantage point. You are not setting the stage for what is important in life as when you were 28. The need to settle into your life’s work and raising a family is likely behind you. Initially, this second trine is a time for reflection and reviewing where you are now especially from the time of your Uranus opposition to its birth position at age 42. The changes you made at that stage in your life have taken you to where you are now. You will now evaluate your life experiences and your achievements and in most cases, ready yourself for retirement which is often begins in and around the second Saturn return in about 2-3 years. You will once again re-evaluate your life’s work and make some decisions on where you would like to go in the next several years. You may work towards early retirement and set the stage for what comes next.
