It is important to look at each day as a chance for a new beginning or an ability to enhance an already magical experience. Each day in essence is a new beginning and a chance for a new start, or a gift to bring more of the same into existence. Letting go of ways that offer little in the way of enlightenment and ways that are concentrated on material living can provide us with a shift in our outlook. We should always analyse our desires and be honest about them. Only then can we come to an understanding of what those desires can truly manifest into our lives. We do live in a material world, and for most of us it is hard to release the need to control these areas of life. As we grow stronger into material living we are often presented with a feeling of never having enough and always wanting more. It is fine to feel the comfort that material living can provide, but exaggerating our energies in these areas will often take us off track from our actual purpose for being here. We are spiritual beings living in physical form but we have to ask ourselves, “Are material concerns the reason our true essence brought us into this life?” It is true that there has to be some significance to material life or we would not be surrounded by it on a constant basis, but surely our inner-being is not concerned with material abundance and financial rewards. If it were so important would we not be bringing these with us when we pass on into the next stage of our soul’s existence? We leave everything material behind but undoubtedly we bring with us our experiences and the enlightenment gained in this life. We are always in search for a connection with our higher self and ultimately again with our source. We are divisible beings engaged in a journey to become one and indivisible, joining forces once again. In essence then is it not our life’s journey to experience and gain insight into some very important elements and experiences? We are not here by chance and nothing of significance is without reason. Our obligation to ourselves is to uphold our quest for enlightenment and to discover and reunite with our source, the provider of love and compassion and all the ingredients that fall into this category. Transiting Uranus has been around the 10-15 degree in Aries since May of 2013 and will be moving out of orb in the spring/summer of 2015. Having a Sun sign of Aries makes you a pioneer, the first to move forward into new and exciting adventures. You move forward with little preparation and may have to redo things because of this, but this also offers you opportunities long before others see them coming. You need to be in a position of power or at least where others will listen to your perceptive ideas. With Uranus conjuncting your Natal Sun, you may have noticed that your life imprint and objectives have been subject to sudden change and your direction may alter even more than is customary with a Sun in Aries. Drastic changes have been highlighted during this time and you will have felt the need to move forward or break free of any type of restriction. With little consideration and contemplation, you might have made sudden changes to your life. Uranus wants to break free of any outworn ideologies or living conditions and pushes you into new directions often very suddenly. We are all agents of healing. We all have the ability to act as healers on any given day. Whether we use this energy through mental healing or physical healing, it is within us all to give. Do you question these statements? How can someone like me be capable of healing another when I have not gone through any training or schooling? How can I heal without knowing how to work the healing energies? Some training is required before you can learn how to heal efficiently, but it does not require years of schooling to facilitate healing through hands on techniques. What is a Mother’s first response when her child has hurt themselves? It is an automatic response to place our hands over the injury. Why? There are many healing modalities available. In most cases, the energy required for healing does not come from us but works through us. We are only the transmitter or conduit for the energy to pass through. Reiki, for example, is a hands-on technique that the first level can be taught over a weekend. You can learn the technique and begin healing yourself with these initial instructions, although further training and much practice is advised. We can all act as a conduit of this energy. The knowledge has been passed down through the ages and anyone can use this energy to help those around them. We are all born healers. There are many ways that we can use these gifts. How often do we naturally offer a gentle touch when someone is going through a rough time? How often do you find that these people feel much better after a touch and the ability to express their feelings? This is all part of our natural design. We are born with these gifts. They have been available since time began but somehow we have lost this information and forgotten our abilities. Remember to utilize your compassion and open the channels of love so this can be expressed. In some way or another, each one of us care for others. We experience some form of compassion. Some of us even take on others’ emotions during emotional experiences. Assist your brothers and sisters during their times of need but do not own their emotions. You will be of no assistance if emotionally you are walking in the shadows, although your experiences from dark moments will assist you in understanding as you have taken steps within those same shoes as those that are suffering. There are many ways to offer assistance to those in need and it is within our grasp and ability to help those who ask for assistance. Allow the healing energy to radiate outward into your world and be part of the overall healing process. It is within your capability to make a difference through whatever form gravitates to you. Transiting Neptune has been moving back and forth into retrograde and then going direct since the spring of 2013 and will continue until February of 2015 between 3-7 degrees of Pisces. If you have the Moon in this degree of Pisces then Neptune will have had a profound effect on you over this two year period. Moon in Pisces is a very inspirational placement and most individuals with Moon in Pisces have psychic inclinations and often prophetic dreams. They are emotionally inclined to receive intuitive information from higher sources and are often visionary. They are emotionally receptive to the deeper dimensions and attuned to other people’s emotional response to the world. Many have a difficult time removing themselves from emotional interaction with those they respond too. This is an intuitive placement for many and for those that have difficulty in this area of life there is often a tendency to live in a dream world trying to escape the more harsh side of life, often through alcohol and drugs. As the Moon governs the emotions, they are all wide open to introspection and have a deep seated emotional nature. Neptune is in its natural sign in Pisces and is quite comfortable with this placement and when attached to the Natal Moon, it often brings Neptunian principles to the surface. This path we walk and the life we live are sometimes difficult routes to maintain especially in the early days of understanding. It is easy to fall off our chosen route and venture here and there in alternate directions without even noticing. The old and familiar ways are often reflections of where we once were and even though those reflections are from focuses of our past, they somehow still holds us back from moving forward in our new direction.....the ties that bind are strong and they tug at us and cause us to look back. By doing so, we only lose focus of where we intend to go. Stepping out of our comfort zone and pushing forward into an unknown territory can be a bit intimidating and uncomfortable to us. However, as we continue on in this life’s venture, we begin to gain insight and it is then much easier to break free of the past and its grasp. Behind us is a way of “being” that no longer suits our ongoing journey. Eventually, this familiar place of the past becomes so distant that it feels as though it was another lifetime. Moving forward without any knowledge of what we will uncover can be a stimulating experience and for those that are in search for something new and meaningful, it will hold their fascination and intrigue. We do not follow along blindly although at times it certainly feels this way. The course has been laid down before us long ago and we follow along a route that is inherently understood on a deeper level. It is not foreign although letting faith guide us can be difficult. The overbearing ego will want to be at the controls and as we venture deeper within ourselves, the ego’s grasp lightens and the doors begin to open. What we learn as we move through the channels of understanding are stepping stones to our future knowing. It is not an idea or a concept; it is an actual knowing and understanding that unfolds. This is what is referred to as the awakening, but it has been in the works since our birth. It is suggested that we were actually in complete understanding when we entered this life and then as we adjusted to the material world, we lost sight of the true meaning of our life as we develop material concerns and make an earthly life for ourselves. This was not a wrong road that we happened to take or a mishap in any way. It was meant to be and we were laying a required foundation that serves it purposes but will eventually have to be broken down to clear way for true understanding. We gradually realize that material rewards are short lived and our entanglement with such things are only comforting for the moment and then rapidly lost their significance. Upon this realization, we are once again open to the underlying principles that have brought us into this existence. We are now making our way towards gaining an understanding of the “why” behind our lives. The door has opened and we have ventured inside, leaving behind anything that does not fit into our new way of living. The past is behind us but there are times we glance back without realizing. Our way of living is changing. Our openness to life is producing results that we never thought we would encounter when we were engaged in our material lives. Staying in touch with our spiritual needs is now paramount. Veering off course does still happen from time to time, but we will realize our off-road ventures immediately and we move back on our intended path. Staying with the truth becomes an easy task as we venture even further into our self-knowing and true perception. Hold true to your awakening. Stay focused and intent. The Ascendant Sign or Rising Sign is descriptive of our outside personality, the one we reveal to the world. This will usually differ from our Sun Sign and this is a sure reason why some individuals are seen as quite different from the typical characteristics associated with their Sun Sign personality. The Sun Sign still resonates and is usually more prominent as we get to know and fulfill the characteristics of our true selves. The Sun Sign is you’re inside personality while the Ascendant sign reveals an outer personality that we are willing to reveal to the world. Any outer planet that transits this placement will have significant influence on your life. It often takes several years for these slow moving bodies to move out of the orb of influence. Those that are sensitive can feel the approach of the planet by as much as 4-5 degrees and the separation of the link by up to 2-3 degree. The affects will be felt for a long period of time and will change life’s conditions significantly. Often these outer planets signify a complete change in your life’s course and a new beginning. Have a close look at any outer planet making a conjunction in particular, as this is the most powerful of the major aspects. Every single day we awake is a new beginning but January 1 always seems to be a day that the majority of us more clearly understand this concept of a fresh start for life. We envision the new year as an opportunity to wipe the slate clean, to choose to move forward in a more mindful way. What are your resolutions, your intentions, your goals? Could we not also use this opportunity as a time to reflect, to look back on the year that has just past? We can use this opportunity not as a time to beat ourselves up but as a time to reflect on all that we have accomplished. All too often, we are critical of ourselves. If we want our children to grow and feel better about themselves, do we not praise them for all that they have accomplished? We are one, co-existing within the framework of our consciousness, always reaching to connect with our pure essence. The midheaven also known as the cusp of the tenth house is a very sensitive area in the natal chart. Any planet in transit (the movement of planets through the zodiac) particularly outer planets, (Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto) or inner planets that are in retrograde motion (appear to be moving backwards) that conjunct, square or are in opposition to this point have powerful influences in our lives. In many cases Uranus, Neptune and Pluto will remain in this critical degree for a year or two having a significant influence on our occupation, our standard of living, our goals, aspirations and our status in life. Uranus often produces unexpected, sudden events when it makes a significant aspect to this critical degree. Neptune tends to cloud these areas of life making things unclear or it can add a mystical approach, while Saturn tends to create challenges, obstacles or lessons that need to be overcome. We are tested in these areas. Pluto transforms and may cause disruptions although much of what happens is beneath the surface until it makes a direct contact to this degree. The trine of these planets to the Midheaven or also known as the MC often provides opportunities and good luck with an easy flow into these areas of life, depending on what other aspects within the chart. The opposite house (4th) is often also affected, as when these aspects are making contact to the MC, they are also making an aspect to the fourth house cusp. The fourth house deals with the home and family particularly the mother while the tenth house usually identifies the father. The tenth house usually identifies the most dominant parent while the fourth house is usually the more submissive and protective parent. A conjunction to the tenth house will also present an opposition to the fourth house cusp and oppositions usually deals with something related to or coming from someone else. The MC, the Ascendant, the Sun, the Moon and the progressed Moon are often used to rectify a birth time, especially when Uranus and Mars conjunct the MC. Uranus and Mars often indicate something happening on the exact day when it becomes direct especially in conjunction. The progressed Moon moves one degree a month also assisting with pinpointing a birth time. Uranus really seems to disrupt activity related to the specific house cusp. The only guaranteed is something unexpected and sudden will occur with Uranus making contact which often causing disruption into that area of life. Be ready for change, disruption, transformation and activity when the MC becomes activated through transit or progression. Although the changes that take place may be disruptive, agitating and sometimes chaotic in their nature, in most cases, these changes are a requirement. It is best not to put up too much of a struggle, especially when Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are making contact to this area of life. In a year or so after the contact, you will realize that the transformations to your life and disruptions were beneficial to your overall evolution and were requirements brought on to enforce growth on a subconscious and soul level. For those that are in a significant, special or any relationships for that matter, it is important to share and express your feelings, opinions and experiences. By opening the door to your intimate feelings and thoughts, you allow the transformation required to transcend the relationship to the next level. Many of us have experienced tumultuous relationships where sharing information of our inner self might not have been beneficial and because of these past experiences, we may now feel that in sharing personal feels much of the same that was previously experienced will occur again. In order to activate the bonding in a new relationship however, it is important, even though we may feel uncomfortable or worried that we may get hurt or used in some way again, that we share our inner self in order that our relationships not stagnate and eventually disintegrate because of this fear. We have to realize that conditions from a past relationship no longer hold true for our new ones. These new relationships undoubtedly will offer a new definition of what a meaningful relationship should look like. Fear is often an offshoot of past experience and we learn through our mistakes as we move along in life, but we have to allow ourselves to open up again in order to move forward within important relationships. This new relationship may provide us with something that we have never experienced before and moving to the next level is often what is required in order to go deeper into this new union. This is something new and may not reflect anything of the past in any way. It may actually provide us with a comfort level that we have never experienced before. We must let ourselves go a little. Weigh out all the facts and move forward with the objective of creating a loving experience shared by two souls. We are not thrown together by chance. Everyone we meet that becomes significant has a purpose and we have chosen beforehand to come together to grow and merge our individualities into a more full, single entity so to speak. It can be difficult and sometimes frightening to move forward and open ourselves up to the unearthing of the secrets that are buried within. When the time is right and we have had time to look deep into our prospective mates and our instinct and gut draws us to this individual, take the chance. We might be pleasantly surprised at the outcome. If we never take chances in life, we will simply live our sheltered lives with regrets. We can never grow without stepping forward out of our comfort zones. We must always listen to our gut and that quite voice within. Yes, there is always a risk in each thing that we do in life, but there is also an opportunity that life will move forward in a new and wonderful direction and it will hold rewards beyond our present imagination.
