FULL MOON IN ARIES

On October 17, 2024, we will be experiencing a Full Moon at 24° in the sign of Aries.  This Full Moon will have an influence on anyone who has planets or angles between 21-27° either Conjunct or in Opposition to this Full Moon’s position (Aries/Libra). To a lesser degree, it will also affect those with a Trine or Square to this placement in the mentioned degrees in Cancer, Capricorn, Leo, or Sagittarius.

Full Moon in Aries

The energies of a Full Moon in Aries amplify action and push and will particularly involve you on a personal basis.  This does not mean that others cannot be involved as the opposition always speaks in terms of others being part of the picture, but what it does mean is that it will likely affect you on a personal level.

This placement speaks about what would have begun approximately 6 months ago when the new moon was in Aries. It may now be nearing its completion.  Whatever was involved will now begin its harvesting period.  The amount of energy and dedication focused on this matter or goal will clearly reflect the advancement towards your desired results.  This matter likely has a personal approach and would most certainly be about you and your path forward.

Does this have to do with your career (10th house), your family and home environment (4th house) your relationship (7th house), finances (2nd house) or joint finances (8th house)?  Much will be determined when we look at the houses involved in the equation. 

We must also take into consideration the current Square from transiting Mars which is at 22° Cancer. Although out of orb, Pluto at 29° Capricorn also makes a Square to this position forming a Grand Cardinal Square when including the position of the Sun.  This suggests that it is likely that the planning and orchestration of the desired goals will have some obstacles in the way of success.  It will most likely not be an easy task, and you may find that there are several other issues somehow related that have an impact on your desired results.

Grand Squares in the Cardinal signs suggest that there will be a strong push to advance whatever you might be trying to achieve and with a sustained effort you can get, at the very least, close to reaching your objectives.  A strong push is required and still there is not a guarantee that you will reach the summit of your goals, but don’t give up unless you can see no way clear. Keep reminding yourself that you can achieve a great deal with the necessary push.  You may find hurdles, delays and some setbacks along the way, but persevere!  See where it takes you.

Alternatively, if there is no doubt this will not work, you may want to let go and find another road to follow.

SATURN CONJUNCT NATAL NORTH NODE

It is important to note that when transiting Saturn is making a conjunction to the North Node it is also making an opposition to the South Node.  The nodes are always 180° apart. 

Saturn while in transit and in the natal chart (unless very favorably aspected by other natal positions) quite often speaks of challenging situations.  The timing seems off when we are attempting to move ahead with our lives.  Things seem to move too slowly, and we often have obstacles to overcome along the way.  Our objectives seem to be met with delays, and it seems to take a lot of work and a sustained effort just to move to the next step in our objectives.

Saturn in the natal chart often describes an area we need to work on.  There are difficulties with our conversations or the way we communicate (3rd house), we find it challenging when it comes to relationships and they are often held up in some manner or delayed (7th house), our friendships or hopes and dreams and our association with groups seem to require a lot of work (11th house), etc.  This is the natal positioning but is also representative to where transiting Saturn is located while moving through the natal chart.

Saturn Conjunct Natal North Node

When transiting Saturn conjuncts our North Node (Life’s path forward) and makes an opposition to our South Node (a past life or early situations in our life), life will not move the way we want it to.  We might have a lot of work to do when it comes to our North Node and others seem to stand in the way or cause us strife when we are speaking of the South Node.

The North Node speaks directly of our path in this life and although this road is foreign to us, we are meant to pursue it regardless.  When Saturn conjuncts the North Node, wherever we place our goals to move towards in life is thwarted and obstacles seem to present themselves holding us up or not allowing us to move in the intended direction.  We can feel frustrated because others seem to slow us down or stand in the way or tell us that they know better and we should perhaps do what they say.  The house position of our North Node will define clearly what area of life is involved in this situation.

This energy may last as long as 6 months and if Saturn goes into retrograde, it will last even longer, although while in retrograde we may find that there is less restriction and things move along better.  Saturn in retrograde works much better than while it is in direct motion, unlike most of the other planets. 

Knowing how Astrology can be applied to our lives can have a direct effect on when we move ahead and when we decide to stand back and wait.  This certainly does not mean that we are at the mercy of fate and that Astrology will dictate as we always have freedom of choice. We may find solace and solutions however when we understand the workings of the universe and have an understanding of the science of Astrology.

Saturn conjunct natal north node will certainly have created havoc with our plans for our life’s path but it will have helped us build a solid foundation and with the right amount of sustained effort, it helps us along the way.  Saturn is the teacher of the Zodiac and can provide great results as long as we are willing to do the work required.

JUPITER SQUARE NATAL MARS

Jupiter in transit is always a good energy.  The most challenging position it will make is when it is in difficult aspect to Saturn.

Although the Square aspect often suggests some challenge at hand, Jupiter Square Mars may indicate some push and pull in situations and a probability that you may overdo whatever it is you are pushing towards.

Aggression and the thrust to push ahead, full steam without due consideration of what that might encompass can be part of what this aspect is implying.  Mars is often about aggressive acts taken, and a strong drive to accomplish.  The push for advancement by sheer force is suggested where Mars resides in the natal chart.  Transiting Jupiter making the square to this position will enhance this drive to the extreme although there will likely be some obstacles to overcome in the process of this determined effort.  Jupiter expands on things, and this is can be extreme when it comes to Jupiter square Natal Mars.

The position of Natal Mars by house and sign together with aspects to it goes one step further into the evaluation of what energies are in place and the areas of life involved.  Transiting Jupiter by house and sign will provide you with a suggestion of what area of life is involved with this push and how it will unfold.  Jupiter enhances the house it is transiting through and builds on whatever that house represents. 

Jupiter Square natal Mars

“Overdoing” is likely the most probable energy associated with Jupiter Square Natal Mars or perhaps believing that you will succeed without engaging reliable and realistic plans.  This can be particularly true if Neptune is also part of the bigger picture.  You might think that what you are doing will have profound effects and that it may lift you to heights unimaginable.  These ideas or beliefs will be expanded, and you may be somewhat disappointed by the outcome, although this does not mean that you should not follow through. Take your time and think things through before jumping is highly advised.

Take time to recuperate throughout the process if whatever you are trying to accomplish will take time to finish.  The push can be very strong, and you will need to think about your body’s need for some rest and relaxation although you may be very intent on completing the task, especially if there is a deadline. It may not be met on time.  However, follow through with your objectives and reach for a height that is attainable.
