Uranus within the framework of the birth chart, depending on its sign and house position, often speaks of an area that may need change. The birth chart is a snapshot of the heavens at the moment of birth. This natal snapshot never changes. When we refer to natal Uranus, we are referring to its position at the moment of your birth.
Uranus is somewhat offbeat, erratic, and can indicate unusual behavior. Uranus’ energy can be sudden and unexpected. We may get warnings of the need for change and in some cases disruption to what no longer suits our evolutionary growth. We have outgrown what has been in place. It is time to either revamping or make a major shift to move to where we now need to be.
An example might be Natal Uranus in the third house, (of course we also need to take into consideration the aspects it receives from other points in the chart) could indicate that our way of communicating is subject to change when activated through transit or progression. Our everyday activities are subject to change and disruption. Our communication techniques are unusual or unconventional, and others may have a difficult time understanding us (in this example).
Taking this example further, there may be something unusual tied to our siblings or neighbors or our relatives, in particular, an aunt or uncle may be considered rather distinct or unusual in comparison to the norm. Our discussions may focus around unusual topics or be ahead of their time.
The Natal chart tells the story of what can be expected when transiting planets hit the Natal positions in our birth chart. Our natal chart is the blueprint of our life. The natal planets never change in our birth chart but once the snapshot of the heavens has been taken and the position of the planets noted for our birth chart, the planets continue to move. The planets are then called transiting planets.
When Uranus is transiting through the different houses in our chart, it often brings something to the surface and pushes for change and evolution. It may awaken us to something that we might not of otherwise thought about.
For example, Uranus transiting through the twelfth house may bring out insightful moments and release pent up energies that may change our perception particularly tied to spirituality, or psychic inclinations that were buried prior to this time.
Uranus will awaken us and bring to light the necessary change required in whatever area of life that it is transiting through (represented by the chart house) and the linkage to planets either in this house or connected to the current position of Uranus by degree in transit.
Changes often take place suddenly or unexpectedly and often in erratic or under unusual circumstances. Over time, which may take as much as 18 months to truly understand, we begin to realize that this change was exactly what was required.
One thing about Transiting Uranus is you can expect the unexpected when it makes contact to planets and angles in our natal charts.
Natal Uranus represents your uniqueness, sudden change, freedom and revolution while transiting Uranus indicates rebellion, sudden change and an awakening.
