LIBRA FULL MOON 2025

A Full Moon signifies the conclusion or harvest time of seeds we planted in the garden of life some six months ago when we had the New Moon in the same sign. What began then is now completing its course, and the fruits of our labors are revealed to us.  These results or culmination points are directly related to the amount of energy we put forth to reach our goals.

Full Moon in Libra, 2025

This Full Moon is in the sign of Libra at 23°.  Libra often has to do with relationships and the need for balance and harmony associated with people that are important to us.  Partnership is often what this speaks to and the house in your chart this Full Moon is found in will indicate the area of life involved.

The astrological houses (12 all together) ruled by signs on the cusps and occupied by planets will have a huge impact on how this energy plays out.  For example, if the eighth house is involved or highlighted then shared resources are part of the picture.  If the fourth house is involved, the home and family will be active agents during this phase.  If there are planets that are either primarily in Conjunction or in Opposition to this placement and only out by no more than 3°, they are influences in the unfolding story.  It will also be important to see how these planets are configured within the framework of the Natal chart.

A Full Moon always has the Moon and Sun in opposition to one another.  In this case, the Sun is Conjunct tightly with Chiron, known as the wounded healer.  Chiron’s Natal position in the Birth chart often depicts an area where you are good at healing others but not so good at healing yourself.  When Conjunct the Sun, it indicates that your goals, aspirations and path in life need healing at this point in time. 

This can also speak of the Husband or Father, and it suggests that some harmonizing is necessary to achieve the healing that needs to unfold, and a balancing act will likely be part of the process.  You may want to be diplomatic at this time and avoid any confrontations if possible.  Work within the realms of peace and gentleness but say what must be said.  This has been in place for some time now. Time will tell how you have made out in these endeavors.

OCTOBER SOLAR ECLIPSE

October Solar Eclipse

On October 2, 2024, we will be experiencing a Solar Eclipse in the sign of Libra at 10°. 

If you have natal planets either conjunct, opposition or square to this position, primarily the Conjunction and Opposition, you will be affected by these energies, and possibly in a powerful manner depending on other transits in place at the time when this eclipse is in effect.  You can allow a 3° orb of influence, so planets between 7° and 13° of this placement in the appropriate signs will be influenced.  All major aspects will have some effect on this placement. 

A few months leading up to this timing will begin to show what has potential to manifest.  This influence can be strong for about one year, but last as long in years as the eclipse lasts in hours.  According to www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/solar/2024-october-2 the first location to see the partial eclipse begins at approximately 11:43 a.m EDT and the last place to see the partial eclipse ends at approximately 5:47 EDT.

Since this eclipse is in the sign of Libra (you always must take into consideration the sign and the house placement of any eclipse), the main influence will have to do with relationships.  This may include your spouse or significant other, close friends or business associates.  It involves fairness, justice, balancing, harmonious yearnings and perhaps making things right. 

It often encompasses new beginnings or endings and opportunities for significant change.  There is often an important shift where we must let go of what was or the past and move ahead possibly in a new direction.  Important life events are often tied to when Eclipses’ energies take hold, and again the house position will define what area of life may be involved.  Transformation and change are key characteristics of eclipses.  Sometimes it can bring unexpected change when we least anticipate it, but this change is often just what is needed in the long haul.

Transiting Mercury is closely tied to the conjunction of the Sun and Moon during this eclipse, and this suggests that the mind is closely tied to what takes place.  You may have been thinking about things for some time and now is the time for action or when action takes place.  Sometimes destiny seems to prevail and much of what takes place is beyond our control.  Things change because they need to.  Intensions play a big part in what unfolds, and goals also come into play.

Along with Transiting Mercury, we also have a Grand Water Trine with Venus (love and affection), Mars (sexual energy and drive) and Saturn (a steadying effect which can solidify things and bring stability).  The Grand Water Trine suggests emotional connections have the potential of working well and moving along nicely.  You are self-sufficient at handling any events that may unfold, and you do not depend on others to do the work necessary or to move you in the intended direction.  The emotions may be kept under wraps at this time as you know you can handle anything that may surface, and things flow without obstruction.

Embrace the energies of the October Solar Eclipse which will be influenced by the energies of Libra. Let go of the past and move forward into your new direction.

SUN IN LIBRA

Sun in Libra

On September 22, 2024, the Sun will move from the mutable, earth sign of Virgo into the cardinal, air sign of Libra.  The element of air has to do with the communication process and our thinking.  All air signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius) are the thinkers of the Zodiac and are involved with the sharing of ideas and the spread of information.  Libra, however, is all about balancing life.  They require peace at almost any cost, are fair-minded, conservative, and most do not feel whole unless they are in an earnest relationship.

Relationship is a key word for many Libra individuals, and this can also apply to those who have Libra on their Ascendant and from an emotional connectedness, those with their Moon in the same sign.  Those with many planets in their 7th house also have some of the Libran characteristics. 

Libra individuals make good collaborators and will see to it that things are just and fair.  They can make good lawyers, judges and mediators.  In part, Libra is here to bring evenhandedness into the world through negotiation and justice.  Libra is all about others and will willingly sit on the proverbial fence so as not to cause any rift, balancing themselves to keep the peace.  However, when it comes to those close to them, especially their partners, they can most certainly speak their mind.

Most Librans enjoy hosting parties, or at least being part of a gathering, if those in attendance are peaceful. They do not enjoy aggressive individuals and hate confrontation.  Libra individuals are gentle persuaders, kind personable individuals and in most cases, genuinely care about others.  Friendship is important but they should learn to choose their friends with care, although in most cases they do.

Being a cardinal sign, Librans are not the ones who will sit back and do nothing. They enjoy getting moving and making plans that suite all people involved.  They make good conversationalists, and their peaceful demeanor suits most people.  They do, however, sway from one perspective to another, but this is often because they do not want to ruffle any feathers.
