THERE HAS TO BE RAIN

We experience many highs and lows in life.  We have times of relative calm, mixed with times of heavy downpours of tough lessons.  Life can be irregular to say the least, and we must adapt to all the changing conditions.

There Has to be Rain

I have heard the tough lessons in our life being compared to storms.

When rain falls in our life, these are times of solitude and the time of pondering ideas and simultaneously readdressing life issues that have not been dealt with so there has to be rain.  Intensions can be stimulated during these rainy seasons, and we have opportunities to go through details and orchestrate future actions based on what has transpired. The rain nurtures change and stimulates growth.

When the Sun shines, we are ready to step out in life to begin our venture with high expectations and bright ideas.  We assimilate our action, plan with force and move ahead although we often have no idea what lies ahead.  The sun is lighting the way, and we can address situations with the know-how previously learned in the rainy season.

There has to be rain to further our understanding of what life is teaching us and these quiet times of solitude prepare us for the Sunny days when we can move ahead. When we are amid a severe storm, we know that life is teaching us more aggressively, and we must adapt more readily under these stormy conditions.  The storm will eventually clear, and the forecast will get brighter. We can expect more pleasant days ahead, once we have adjusted to life lessons at hand.

Yes; We are very symbolic here, but the symbolism is quite fitting. It is comforting to know that there must be a little rain. It is essential from time to time and that the stormy season eventually comes to an end. The Sun will shine bright and bring forth warmth and light. We are strengthened by our experiences. All things pass, even the storms. What are you planning once the Sun’s light returns?

JUDGEMENT CALL

The saying goes “we shouldn’t judge others unless we have walked a mile in their shoes”. 

Judgement Call

We can be a sum of our experiences. We really do not know what has brought anyone to the place where they currently exist.  We know very little, if anything at all, about their personal journey. 

How were they brought up?

What are their innate instincts?

What does their natal chart suggest?

We are just touching on personal influences but even just these three basic influences can greatly impact our development and progress.

There are parameters that are socially acceptable for our actions. It is my opinion, however, that no action is acceptable if it causes strife or pain for us or others.  As a human, this is when it is hard not to judge.

Most of us instinctively want to avoid conflict. Yet is it not necessary to stand up against abuse?

We have not walked a mile in the abuser’s shoes, and judgement is not needed, only action. It is not ours to understand the why, but we can stop the “what” with action and compassion.

Those that create conflict will live in conflict. For every action, there is a reaction. Your actions reverberate and causes waves of influence.

Living with compassion, care and concern is not weak!

All actions should be carefully considered. What is the consequence of your actions?

Make a judgement call on what you are planning to do and what this action or lack of action might do. We can never analyze every possibility, but we can certainly try to do our best in whatever we choose to do or not do. This you can judge….this is your judgement call!

GUT INSTINCT

Gut Instinct

Have there been times when you wished you had listened to your gut instinct, to your intuition (call it what you will)? 

We can often fall short and make mistakes when we don’t.  We just know or instinctively understand that we should not take a certain path, but we do, and something takes hold that could have been avoided. 

In most cases, our instincts can be overruled by our mind or emotions, and we follow blindly forward sometimes into unknown territory and almost anything can happen.  Sometimes the unexpected takes hold and we are victims of our own choices and actions. 

“I should have listened to my heart”, “If only I had followed my gut”, or “When will I learn to follow my instincts?”, are common questions.

Poor decisions can be brutal, but in many cases, they are learning tools.  We gain immensely from these so-called mistakes.  They are our teachers, and we must listen when life’s twists and turns seem to dictate.  The path we take is the road we are meant to follow, no matter how difficult it is.  Change that is required will not unfold without these important but difficult steps through learning experiences.

Gut instinct, however, can help us when we are in situations that might be dangerous.  Sometimes our gut instinct is so powerful that it stops us in our tracks and pushes us in a new direction.  Sometimes these new directions seem far from where we want to travel but life pushes us that way anyway and we, at times, may have little choice but to go with the flow.

When we are too impulsive, we get little warnings.  When we need to make changes, we get little nudges suggesting that we move in a new direction. Sometimes our impulsive actions cause very difficult repercussions.  Sometimes when we do not listen to the little nudges, we get kicks and if we don’t listen to the kicks, life uses forceful energies to take us in that intended direction. 

We need to listen carefully to what our gut is telling us and pay heed, especially when a part of us knows which direction to take.  Do not run from adversity. Face challenges head on and move in the intended direction that is required.

We have intuition, gut instinct, a simple knowing (again call it what you will) for a reason. Utilize your gut instinct.
