Sun in Pisces 2026

On February 18, 2026, the Sun moved from Aquarius, a fixed air sign, into Pisces, a mutable, water sign. 

Those individuals with their Sun in the early degrees of Pisces will be experiencing the Semi-Sextiles from Saturn and Neptune both in the sign of Aries and Pluto in Aquarius which is also Semi-Sextile to the Sun in the early degrees of Pisces.  Uranus will enter Gemini towards the end of April making a Square to those with their Sun in the early degrees of Pisces as well.

Those Pisceans with the sun in the early degrees will also have an influence from Aquarius with their sun sign description. They link together when the sun is cusping both signs.  (The same applies at the end of Pisces.  Aries will influence any individual in the late degrees of Pisces.)

The closer for those born with Sun in Pisces in the early degrees, the stronger the Aquarius influence will be, but you are still primarily a Pisces with Pisces character traits mixed with Aquarius traits as well.  This is called a cusp sign.

Looking at what Piscean traits entail, the first strong quality we find is that they are sensitive to the vibrations of those around them, and that they are uncomfortable with adversity in most forms.  They are gentle people, caring in nature and eager to serve others, especially the underdog.  However, they must guard against taking on the influence of what is transpiring in other people’s lives as they may have a tendency to making these their own. 

Cancer individuals, for example, which are also a water sign, want to take care and nurture others, as does Pisces. Pisces, however, wants to not only help but save others. 

Intuition often runs strong with Pisceans individuals, and you will find some Sun in Pisces individuals within the psychic role, assisting others through their connectiveness to higher sources.  Meditation is key for most individuals wishing to find their connection with the higher states and this is essential with the on-going evolution of Pisces individuals wanting to focus on these gifts.

Religion and spirituality are often a part of Pisces’ tool chest, but they also have a keen perception when it comes to music and acting. 

As much as Pisces individuals wants to avoid aggressive situations, they will find themselves under these circumstances throughout life.  It is not unusual to find a typical Piscean using available escape mechanisms.  Some resort to drugs or alcohol to avoid stressful situations. This can be a dangerous response as additions can result.  Pisceans must find more productive avenues to deal with stress and anxiety.

Most Pisces are kind, loving and sensitive individuals who wish the best for their fellow person.  They feel the connectedness of the human race as a whole and know instinctively that we are all one.  Pisces is the sign of compassion and unwavering sensitivity geared towards finding solutions or taking on energy to help others to rid of their struggles.

Sun in Pisces 2025

The Sun moves from the fixed, air sign of Aquarius into the mutable, water sign of Pisces on February 18, 2025.  This is quite the contrast as anyone who shares this cusp of Aquarius and Pisces has two distinct energies working within.  (See www.holmastrology.com/astrology-101astrology for more information on the distinct energies of these two signs.)

Pisces, under most conditions, (depending on other configurations within the natal chart) has a gentle, calm, passive demeanor and is very sensitive to other people as well as their own surroundings.  They need quiet places to retreat, gentle well-meaning associates and friends, and often enjoy the open waters or an ocean view. 

Most Pisceans are kind, caring individuals with great empathy for others, mainly because they understand what it is to suffer from the deeper layers of consciousness.  They can get hurt easily and have a hard time hiding how they feel.  They must learn not to take on the energies of others, especially if these other individuals are going through heart-wrenching and emotional experiences.

Pisces individuals truly care, and you can find them in volunteer groups, where caring and compassion is required.  They can make great nurses, psychologists, and addiction counsellors. Insecure individuals are often drawn to Pisceans, but so are aggressive individuals who believe they can take control or take advantage of caring Pisceans.  They must be careful who they become close to in life.

Pisceans are very sensitive individuals, and because of this, many Sun in Pisces individuals are known to have intuitive abilities.  Some are psychic and most go deep into “feelings” rather than to analyze.  They are known for their caring natures, but because of their intense need for peace and tranquility, when they are confronted with adverse conditions, they tend to be drawn to drugs and alcohol because they do not want to face this adversity.  Some hide their proverbial heads in the sand or try to cloud life’s challenging situations.

The area of psychology and the unseen can draw them in.  Their philosophy might be “who can I help and what can I do to make others’ lives deeper but I don’t need rewards”.  Some are known for being martyrs as it is not important for them to receive recognition or compensation for their efforts. They also understand that they work for a higher power.  Some believe that Pisces, being the last sign of the Zodiac, is the final stage of earthly existence. 

Personally, this Astrologer believes that unless they have a grasp of the full picture of life’s purpose, they are not ready for the final stage of earthly existence, and they will return bringing with them their knowledge and experience into their next existence.
