Social activities may also be highlighted during this time, and there might be something rather magical about how it unfolds.  It can be a fun time for everyone although partying can be a little excessive.  Have fun but don’t overdo it.

If this relates to your finances, once again, don’t dream.  Make sure that what you see is real and the opportunity that awaits you is also not only promising but actually has the potential to expand and grow as you invest yourself in the process.  Finances may improve unexpectedly especially if Uranus is involved.  If Jupiter is involved, there may be a feeling that you can’t go wrong, and if Mars is involved, it is suggested that you take a second look and go slowly. Mars wants to rush but you must resist the temptation.

Regardless of what this might entail, as the houses involved will identify, transiting Neptune sextile natal Venus is considered a valid, opportunistic period. Follow your gut instincts.

NEPTUNE IN OPPOSITION TO NATAL VENUS

Neptune in Opposition to Natal Venus

At the time this article was written (March 2025) transiting Neptune is in the sign of Pisces.  It moves into Aries for the first time on March 31, 2025 and then returns to Pisces on October 23 before moving once again into Aries on January 27, 2026, where it will remain for some 15 years.

Those that have their Venus in the last degrees of Virgo or the first degrees of Libra will have this opposition influencing their charts. Neptune in Opposition is often referred to as a challenging aspect to deal with.  The most important factor is that you must make sure that you are seeing things as they truly are.  The mind can play games with you, or in this case, the heart can play games with you as quite often Venus and Neptune speak of a love interest.

Oppositions often suggest that other people are involved with this influence. Perhaps someone (possibly female) has their hand in what is unfolding.  They could have you by the heart strings and cause some confusion about a relationship, if this is what this is about.  The houses involved will clarify the area of life being affected in your chart.

You may feel infatuated by this person and put them on a pedestal.  Once this aspect passes, you will have a much clearer picture of what this relationship entails and what the person is really like.  This is not to say that you are not seeing this person clearly, only that there is often a tendency for that to happen.  Other factors in the chart might prove otherwise. “Are you falling in love?”, or “Does this relationship seem too good to be true?” are questions you might want to ask yourself.

Since Venus can be about love and affection, the social scene and/or finances, these areas will or might also be part of the picture.  You may find that under this influence you are invited to more social gatherings where you will meet up with other individuals that often have something that will entice you or be brought to your attention. 

If finances are involved, once again, a deal you are presented with might seems too good to be true and this just might be true. Again, the whole chart will tell the story, and the natal potential will have to be reviewed. 

With Neptune in opposition to natal Venus, others will likely be involved. Make sure you see things clearly before acting. You may want to consult a trusted friend for their opinion.

2024 ASPECTS FOR SUN IN LEO

Aspects to Sun in Leo

Today, we will look at some of the 2024 aspects for those with Sun in Leo.

Mercury is in retrograde from August 4 until August 27, 2024, and during this period, it will begin to influence the charts of those that have their Sun in the later degrees of Leo.  Mercury moves from Leo to Virgo on July 25 and stays in Virgo until it once again moves back into Leo on August 15 due to retrograde motion. Mercury moves from 21-29° of Leo into September and then moves back to Virgo moving forward. 

Anyone having their Sun in Leo from approximately 18° into its final degree will experience this conjunction of Transiting Mercury and your natal Sun.  

Mercury has to do with the thinking process and communicative techniques. The Sun will emphasize this capability and it will be like you know exactly what you are talking about.  This, if all else within the chart agrees, can be a great time to bring to the surface some of your ideas and goals for others to analyze, and perhaps you will receive some recognition for your enthusiasm and creative thinking. 

Venus moved into the sign of Leo on July 11, 2024, and will remain in Leo until August 5. Those Leonians who have Venus in conjunction with their Sun may find that their financial situation is more satisfactory, and that they can enjoy what money brings into their lives.

Romantic involvement may increase or become more relevant during this Venus contact. There may be more social involvement and perhaps parties or gatherings to attend.

The whole chart will have to correspond with the energies associated with what was just noted. The house placement will speak of where these energies will reveal themselves.  We must always look at the natal potential to fully understand the potential available as other transits will have to be configured into the equation as well. These are just short transits that will take place for our Leonian readers but these are the only ones that are noteworthy to the Sun.  There will certainly be other transits in the chart aspecting natal positions that do not affect the Sun.

To summarize, the 2024 aspects for Sun in Leo will emphasize the thinking process and communicative techniques and romance may become a focal point. Enjoy your social life and possible recognition for your enthusiasm and creative thinking.
