On June 21, 2026, we move from the mutable air sign of Gemini into the cardinal, water sign of Cancer. 

The Cardinal Modality (Cancer, Aries, Libra, and Capricorn) are the initiators of the Zodiac.  They like to be on the move and push ahead with great enthusiasm and energy.  While each sign has its own tendencies as far as push and drive goes, Cancer has to do with family and nurturing.

Cancer is a sign highly sensitive to the inner feelings of those around them. SUN IN SCORPIO 2025

The Sun moves from the Cardinal, Air sign of Libra into the Fixed, Water sign of Scorpio on September 22, 2025. 

The Sun has a 16° orb of influence; therefore, those born on the cusp of Scorpio will also have some Libra or Sagittarius characteristics depending on which cusp is influenced.

As far as decants are concerned, those born in the first 9° 59’ of Scorpio have a double Scorpio personality, those born between 10° to 19° 59’ have Scorpio with some Pisces tendencies, and those born between 20° and 29° 59’ of Scorpio will also have Cancer tendencies but for all of these decants, the Scorpio traits are always the strongest.

Scorpio individuals are strong-minded and are hard to sway once their mind is made up.  They are intense, deep and emotional although their emotions are usually buried deep within.  They do not like to reveal their sensitive nature, and most Scorpio have parts of themselves that they like to keep private. 

Under most conditions, a typical Sun in Scorpio is reserved, somewhat quiet in nature but when they speak, others listen.  They are ruled by the planet Pluto, co-ruled by Mars, and this is primarily what makes them so intense and deep.  Because of Pluto’s influence, they are subject to overall change taking hold at some point in their lives, going through deep examination within and making decisions based on what comes to the surface.  They can review the darker sides of themselves with great clarity and make changes because of these revelations.

Many Scorpio are interested in the deeper realms of life, which were once considered taboo.  The occult and hidden matters hold great importance to the typical Scorpio, and they will often venture into these realms with extreme interest.  They are fond of analyzing and will bring hidden matters to the surface and face them head on.

Scorpio has been known to be quite sensitive and sensual in nature. The undeveloped Scorpio type, however, seeks out sexual encounters simply for their own pleasure and without emotional attachment.  They can have several partners at the same time, but under most conditions once they decide on permanency with one individual, they can be faithful and sincere.  It is important for our Scorpio readers to watch that they are not swept away simply by desire. 

Scorpio individuals make great investigators, and can be in undercover work, digging deep for answers.  They love to solve crimes or to search for the truth. These individuals can be counted on to keep a secret when required.  Surgeons, dentists, and vocations involving dying or death interests them.  Life and death matters intrigue many born under this Sun Sign.

Most Scorpio’s are highly driven, motivated to seek out matters that most would not have the patience to carry out.  This is not to say that they are the patient type, but they will persevere when necessary and make moves once they know the information they hold is accurate and they are ready. 

Emotions run deep for Scorpio, but you will not see this in them. They will not forget if slighted, particularly the unevolved Scorpion type Scorpio. The Eagle Scorpio rises from adversity and navigates life through intuition and insight.
