Holm Astrology has been creating "Astrology" and "Food For Thought" posts for over 10 years.  Wix has taken over the Vista Print websites and as a result of the migration of our information, a large portion of our blog posts are currently lost.

It is imperative that we do what we can to keep our bodies and mind in a healthy state.  Having regular checkups, exercising, eating well and paying attention to our thoughts or focus are all factors in how well we maintain our health. 

 

Be thoughtful of your health and wellness to make the best of this current journey. Fill your life with love, contentment & appreciation through your attitude. Our focus dictates the experience.
Health and Wellness

Our number one priority would be our self-awareness, whether this relates to listening to our bodies, how we think about ourselves, how we relate to issues in life or react, or if we focus on negative health concerns whether these health concerns are based on symptoms or imagination.

 

Age should not create worry or concern even though we do tend to slow down a little as we age. We must look after ourselves no matter what our age.  The earlier we begin a healthy lifestyle, the healthier we will be as we age. The habits we form throughout our lives determine our attitude, focus and wellness.

 

If and when we do encounter health issues at some point in time, this is when we must adjust our thinking in such a way that we can challenge the issue.  Cancer, for example, is far too common but those that remain positive about their outcome have been noted to have a greater chance of full recovery. 

 

Our attitude about life has a great impact on not only our mental health, but over time is reflected in physical health depending on how long and to what degree we choose to allow negative thoughts to permeate our day-to-day living.  Our mental approach to what happens in life is key to not only being healthier but also to being content with our lives. 

 

This is not to say that we should stifle ambitions or become complacent. It means that our very thinking process affects our everyday lives both today and in the long run.

 

We have a greater chance of meeting and overcoming any challenging life situation with a positive attitude and learning where to focus our attention. 

 

Death is a guarantee in life and maybe we can change our attitude towards this transition as well.  Our passing does not have to be a negative experience if we can change our attitude towards it. It is inevitable. We would not be leaving our physical body and moving on from this life’s journey unless we were ready to do so.  We have completed our course and fulfilled our objectives even if we do not understand what these were. We will graduate and at that point are ready to move to the next level of awakening. It’s just a new chapter.

 

In the meantime, be thoughtful of your health and wellness to make the best of this current journey. Fill your life with love, contentment and appreciation through your attitude. Our focus dictates our experience.

Do you have a reputation? 

 

Is that reputation favorable or not so favorable? 

 

Most of us have an inner self which we know as our true self, and we also have an outer expression of who we want the world to see. With some individuals the inner self and the outer expression are one and the same. With others they change their outer expression to suit who and where they may be in the moment because of their previous interaction with others, for example. 

 

If that outer expression is not who we might want the world to see or if we have been branded as someone who does not match who we are, we must ask ourselves how important that branding by others might be.

 

If we have made a mistake or been misunderstood, we can learn from the experience and grow.  What one or two people think of us holds no importance compared to our own opinion of ourselves.  Each person we meet will have a completely difference perspective of who we are. Each individual bases their opinions on their own experiences in life.  If you ask ten different people who you are, you will get ten different answers. 

 

In reality, the only person that knows who you are both internally and externally is you. Therefore, if you acknowledge something you do not like, then you can change it. We should embrace who we are.  We are a work of art that can be tweaked for the better any time so that we reflect our new growth and understandings as we walk our journey.

 

Be branded as the master of you. You are not here to make decisions based on what others see in you. You are here to tweak you into the best masterpiece possible.

Did you know that the ingenious artist Leonardo da Vinci likely worked on his famous Mona Lisa for over 15 years intermittently?

 

We too are famous artworks that can be tweaked continually.

Some days just don’t feel the best, while other days feel spectacular. The latter, we always wish to hold on to longer. 

 

Know that regardless of what unfolds in life, it is temporary, and tomorrow is another day. Life continues forward, always. Learn from each and every experience.  Wrap your arms around adversity as these are the steppingstones to understanding and growth.
Tomorrow is another day. Allow and release!

For the days we wish we didn’t have to experience, it is often best to let go and know that tomorrow is a new beginning.  You never know what the future might hold, so holding on to what “was” serves no purpose.  If you hold on, it is impossible to move forward. 

 

Yes, some days feel very heavy. They can rob us of our peace and contentment and cause us much pain, emotionally, mentally and even physically.  We can linger in the memories or remnants of a difficult day for a long time, and experience extreme emotional moments because of it. 

 

It is important to experience the emotions attached to what unfolded as we can’t run away from events and our emotional response to them.  Dealing with some of the harsher moments can have profound lasting effects on us, if we choose to dwell and in some cases, being lost in an emotional event can cause us ill health.

 

We need to take each day, one at a time and work our way through adversity, acknowledging that we must feel whatever is necessary but that this too will pass.  Visit every lesson but do not take up residence there. Being stuck in a lesson can create health issues, relationship issues, career issues and the list goes on.

 

During those moments of sheer joy and exhilaration, enjoy the experience to its fullest by living in that moment. Acknowledge gratitude. Be thankful. 

 

Look around you. Do you see people just move along their old route, semi-lost in routine, without appreciation for any of it. They cannot enjoy the moment as they do not experience.

 

We are lucky with what life provides us. Share your life with others when possible. If the experience is personal in nature, seek solace and find comfort in it.

 

Know, that regardless of what unfolds in life, it is temporary, and tomorrow is another day. Life continues forward, always. Learn from each and every experience.  Wrap your arms around adversity as these are the steppingstones to understanding and growth. No transition is without pain. Love your life, even when it does not seem to be love you back. It is giving you what you need.
