URANUS SEXTILE NATAL NORTH NODE

Transiting Uranus entered the sign of Gemini on July 7th, 2025, and due to retrograde motion, will have its final stay in Taurus from November 8th, 2025, through April 26th, 2026. Those with their North Node in Aries or in Leo will experience a Sextile from transiting Uranus to their North Node. 

The Transit of Uranus takes about 7 years to move through each astrological sign, so over approximately the next 7-8 years, Uranus will Sextile all those with their North Node in these two signs.  It will also trine the South Node’s position for those with their Nodes in the positions set out here.  (NN-Aries, SN-Libra, NN-Leo, SN-Aquarius).

Uranus, known for its free-thinking, original and often eccentric behavior, will be comfortable in the sign of Gemini, as Gemini is also a freethinker. Uranus will likely provide outlets that will assist in whatever adventure you are involved with and will also offer insight into any change that needs to take place to move in a certain direction where advancement is essential.  Uranus will provide the push, and sometimes in unexpected ways or in sudden eye-opening experiences, because you need to move out of complacency and address anything that requires your attention.

NORTH NODE IN ARIES

North Node in Aries

The typical signature of North Node in Aries,(which makes the South Node in Libra) would be self-initiated actions.  According to the North Node in Aries, the purpose of this incarnation is to adapt to an attitude that you must be the one who asserts yourself to achieve whatever you set out in this life to accomplish.  It must be personal in nature although it can be subject to creating some insight for others to follow as well.

The energies of North Node in Aries is about moving head-first with ambition and enthusiasm without too much regard for or worry about failure. If you happen to fall short of your goals, you must pick yourself up and push ahead either in a new direction or in a forward motion with the same objective using the information you learned from the last stumble.  Learning from your shortfalls is paramount. URANUS SQUARE NATAL NODES

Uranus Square Natal Nodes

When Transiting Uranus makes a Square to your Natal Nodes, this can be indicative of strife and unexpected turns to your life’s path. 

Uranus acts on impulse and is very unpredictable in its nature.  Its actions are sudden and often without warning although there are likely indicators suggesting a change of direction is needed or imminent. 

Prior to Uranus making a square to the Nodes (exactly at 90° degrees of separation), you may have warnings or little nudges suggesting change is required. This change is likely to be rapid and is required as your current path no longer suits your evolutionary journey.  You have outgrown your current situation and it’s time to find a new growth path forward.

Much of what transpires will depend on your age, of course, because change is quite different for someone who is 12 compared to someone who is 45.  The twelve-year-old may be highly influenced by parental decisions and perhaps changes due to something taking place in the parent’s lives, such as a divorce or move due to a career change.  The 45-year-old, however, may find that their relationship no longer is viable or their current work position needs changing. 

This will be a challenging time although the degree of change is defined more clearly in the natal chart rather than through transits.  The Nodes’ placements by sign and house define the areas of life that are being directly affected by change, while the placement of Uranus by transit may speak in terms of how and in what manner this is being carried out.  Also, we need to look at the placement of Natal Uranus in the birth chart as this will provide greater details on what is unfolding.

Sometimes important people either enter our lives or leave our lives, and this brings forth the need for change or direction. 

To take this further, if another transit or natal Planet also makes a square from the opposite side of Transiting Uranus, we now have a Grand Square. This can make things more challenging as “things” seem to be coming at us from several different directions.

It is important to recognize that in these times of drastic change, we adjust and sometimes these changes can be extreme in nature.  However, Uranus square the Natal Nodes is very significant and over time, often a year or more, we begin to see how this change, although challenging at the time, was exactly what was required. 

One more thing for our more advance Astrology readers, Uranus acts as a timer in Astrology and quite often the time when it is exactly direct is when these events unfold or change occurs.
