FULL MOON IN CAPRICORN

On June 21, 2024, we will have a Full Moon in the sign of Capricorn at 1°.  This Full Moon will be squared by transiting Neptune which is at 29° in the sign of Pisces.  It also makes a semi-sextile to transiting Pluto which is at 1° Aquarius.

Full Moon in Capricorn

Full Moon in Capricorn has to do with the conclusion or winding up of what was put in place some 6 months ago when we had a New Moon in Capricorn.  Capricorn is often associated with business and the building of a reputation attached to achievement and work that we have put forth to move in an intended direction.  It requires work and dedication to advance and to build on what we have been striving to achieve.  For those that have put forth the required effort and did the work needed, this can be a time of recognition from your peers and those in places of authority.

This can be a time of reckoning and because of the work you have done over the previous period, now might be the time that you will receive rewards for your efforts.  Perhaps a raise or promotion is possible and if you happen to have your own business, growth is now showing, and your business is receiving recognition from your associates and your customers.

The semi-sextile to Pluto suggests that you might be in the right place at the right time.  It can be a little challenging and things don’t always work exactly as planned. Sometimes minor adjustments need to take hold and a bit of aggravation is present during a period of hard work.

The square from Neptune while in transit can make things a little unclear or perhaps what you thought would take hold is not as it is.  You may feel a little disillusioned because you put great effort into this project and now it somehow feels unfinished or not as you might have wanted it to be.  But you can overcome this adversity by being honest with yourself and making the necessary adjustments and seeing things as they truly are.

This is a period where reliability is important and constant good work ethics bring fortunate opportunities.  You must be steadfast in your approach and dedicated to your objectives.  Don’t fall short or worry about possible outcomes. 

You can push your way through adversity (if you happen to meet it) by being persistent and dedicated to good work ethics.  Respect those that are in higher positions and know that anything worth pursuing comes with diligent effort.

NEPTUNE SQUARE NATAL ASCENDANT

Neptune, the planet of illusion, fogginess, disillusionment, as well as transferrable insight, mystical alignment, vision, and psychic intuition, in square often brings forth vague or ambiguous insight.  This is a time when clarity is certainly not at its peak, and we need to be informed usually by others what exactly is transpiring in our lives. 

Our clarity is distorted because what is in front of us, we might be unwilling to accept.  We cloud our viewpoint because we don’t want to be informed of challenges.  Our objective should be to see things as they are and to not let our imagination run wild or to not allow our minds to bend the truth to fit our wants or perspectives.

Neptune Square Ascendant

When Neptune is connected to the Ascendant, this energy is often very important to us and what we are experiencing is open to the world to see.  This can be relationships, but in many cases, it may be about our career, our objectives, goals in life, the home and/or family concerns. 

There are roadblocks in the way and challenges to meet. These need to be met and they need to be met head-on even if what is taking place is unpleasant.

Neptune square Natal Ascendant may have us confused on who we are or the way we should be representing ourselves in public.  Are we being real, or is there some imagined concept that we wish to present to the public? 

Are we seeing ourselves clearly? 

Can we make changes to be who we are? 

Do we know how we want to be perceived? 

These are all questions we may be asking ourselves, and in many cases, this could be our career or home environment or with family. 

If, for example, Transiting Neptune is in the third house, perhaps this is about the way we communicate daily or the way we view our relatives.  Are we in conversation with these people and what can we do to make things clearer? 

If Neptune is in the ninth house, perhaps there is litigation that needs addressing, or travel plans that are not working out as we might wish or perhaps our perception regarding our own personal philosophy on life is going through some alterations because it needs to be more clear and concise.

Much will depend on the house transiting Neptune is moving through and what natal aspects our Ascendant is receiving.  Viewing the whole chart will help define what to expect and how you might handle what is going on.  The natal chart tells the story, and the transits engage the action.

NEPTUNE SQUARE NATAL IC (IMUM COELI)

Transiting Neptune making a square to our Natal IC (Imum Coeli) will affect our family and home life, and in rare cases, when someone has been ill for a very long time, it speaks about the end-of-life conditions.  At the same time transiting Neptune is making a square to our IC, transiting Neptune will be making a square to the MC (Midheaven).  So, at the same time, our career, life path, goals and life’s status will be affected.

The contacts that are made to the IC within the natal chart as well as other transits making aspects to the IC will also have to be determined and taken into consideration. Look at aspects that are within the 3–5° of being exact, although of course, the closer they are to being exact the more powerful their influence will be.

Neptune in challenging aspect will tend to make things very uncertain and often creates worry and anxiety because of concerns about the outcome of matters (within the realm of the IC as discussed).  “What am I going to do about my mother or father because they now seem to be displaying dementia?”, “Should I look for a home where they can be looked after?” or “Should I move them from their home to my house?” are perfect examples of questions that may arise. 

“How might this affect the family and what will I need to do within the framework of my home to accommodate them?” would be the next question. You can now understand the energies of Neptune influencing these areas of life in this example.

Neptune in challenging aspect can make things difficult, and there will likely be other hinderances along the way.  You may make a plan of action and then it must be changed because of unforeseen circumstances.  You may have to shift because of this, and your original plans will need to be adapted for the new circumstances. 

It is not easy to find solutions to problems when things are unclear and the road ahead is uncertain.  However, the energies of the square aspect are challenging enough that these challenges will likely force you into action because of the disruption that they cause.  You must find a way through the adversity, and it is likely in your hands, although of course you can ask for help.  You, however, will have to make the final decision. 

If we were speaking about the opposition aspect, you would find that other people are often part of the issue, and it may be these individuals that decide which way to turn.  This is quite different from the square which, because of the situation at hand and how irritating the situation is, the situation itself forces you into action.

All energies are temporary but bring with them valuable lessons for moving forward.
