We will be experiencing a Full Moon in Capricorn on July 9, 2017 at 12:06 a.m. (EST) at 18 degrees. Depending on where you live, you may experience this Buck or Thunder Moon on July 8. For the remainder of 2017 and as far forward as May, 2018, transiting Uranus will reside in the sign of Aries. Uranus goes into retrograde motion in November, 2018 moving back into Aries, until it finally returns into the sign of Taurus in March, 2019. Uranus also goes retrograde on August 3, 2017 and will move as far back as 24 degrees Aries and then start its direct motion once again. It is said that Uranus’ energies while in direct motion push us towards a new found freedom from any restrictions to our personal growth and independence. Some Astrologers have noted that while in the retrograde motion Uranus’ energies are more directed towards defending the course of other individuals, although certainly not always. We have heard many conversations lately concerning negative treatment. Imagine that you have just been mistreated, perhaps physically, mentally or emotionally. As a result, you are not only hurt but you are also angry and want revenge. What do you do about this? How will you react - in thought and in action? Throughout life, I am sure you have heard the statement “Two wrongs do not make a right”. Do we just sit by idly and let negative action slide? This may not be the first time you have been victimized by this individual. Last time, you may have done absolutely nothing. Is this why it has happened again? Perhaps your lack of action has made it easier for this individual to repeat their actions but YOU ARE NEVER responsible for someone else’s actions. If you are suffering physical abuse, take action to protect yourself. If it is your partner, it is time to reassess your relationship. If it is a friend or acquaintance, it is time to reassess this relationship. No one has the right to physically harm you. If you live in fear because of this individual, seek assistance. Love yourself enough to ensure you are safe and can be happy. If you are suffering from emotional or mental abuse, the same response is warranted. There are certainly times in life when someone will speak hurtful words (without intent) and may not even be aware of the pain they have inflicted. Sometimes in anger, we can say things that are exaggerated and hurtful. Talking through these situations most often has a positive response. Each of us may have emotional triggers that no one else is aware of. If you have your natal Moon in the sign of Virgo, transiting Neptune could be in opposition to this position, depending on the degree of your Moon. Oppositions often involve other people and the Moon has a huge influence on your emotional makeup and your reaction to life’s events. During this phase, you will have to be aware that you could be highly influenced by others, perhaps by deception or you may have a difficult time seeing through a vail of uncertainty. Although Mercury and Mars both move quite rapidly through the zodiac, since we are currently in the sign of Cancer, we wanted to touch on this conjunction particularly for those individuals with their Sun in Cancer. This Conjunction began on June 23, 2017 and will be completed on July 6, 2017. The energies are very powerful from June 27 to June 30, 2017, when the planets form a tight conjunction between 14-19 degrees of Cancer. In order to maintain a positive journey, it can be necessary to realign our focus from time to time. Sometimes we get a little lost in events and forget that our concentrated focus forms our reality. Midpoints in Astrology are considered one of the most successful astrological applications available in the study of Astrology and its predictive abilities. A midpoint is the exact halfway point between two planets, or two significant points (Ascendant, Midheaven) or astrological bodies such as Chiron. The Part Of Fortune can also be used, as well as the Vertex, or other bodies that you use to delineate an Astrology Chart. If you have Uranus at 11 degrees Cancer and the Moon at 28 degrees Scorpio, for example, then the midpoint would be 19 degrees Virgo. If by chance you have a planet or significant point in the natal chart that is within a one degree orb of 19 degrees Virgo (18 to 20 degrees), that planet would have Uranus and Moon connotations mixed into the meaning of the planetary position. If, for example, you have Mars in this position, Mars would be heavily influenced by Uranus and the Moon. With transits and progressions, any planetary link to this position in our example would carry these overtones as well as the conjunction to Mars.
