It is a wonderful experience to share our lives with our little ones. Whether these children are your children, grandchildren or other people’s children, they are an experience in themselves. It is incredible how they sometimes come up with such mature material and say things that far outweigh their childhood experience. Many are old souls returning into this incarnation to spread their knowledge and this often begins at a very young age. They are masters of life in a small package. Do not be fooled by their child like appearances; they have a lot to say. It is an honor to have these children your life, as they have chosen to be with you and you have chosen to bring them into yours. In many cases, you are old acquaintances that have returned once again to be together and this alone makes your relationship special. Never take your relationship with them as meaningless or of minor significance. As they mature, most relationships grow closer and tighten the grip on the love generated between you. Yes, there will be trying times if you are their parent especially in the teen years and in early adulthood, but these sometimes trying times are the stepping stones to understanding. These individuals can easily become your best friends as time goes by and you share a common feeling of comfort that can rarely be found with others. They are the special ones that have come into your life again. Be sure to teach them through your actions how best to live life. Teach them love just as they are teaching you unconditional love. Teach them compassion, just as they are always there for you and willing to help in their own special way. Give them your support especially in times of strife-- just as they will offer you a hug or kiss when they sense you are struggling. Be sure to talk openly about the spirit connection we all share. Never belittle yourself by thinking that you have nothing to offer. You are special and have an important role in this life, whether you believe this or not. You are able to assist others through channelling your energy into proper frequencies based on love and compassion. You have the ability to tap into your resources and assist anyone in need; you just have to believe in yourself. Confirm this within and make alterations for your own personal needs. It is not by chance that you have crossed paths and your purposes may be to offer assistant for them to be capable of lifting themselves above their challenges. Ultimately, however, they are the ones that make the decision to change and to make the actual adjustment. You promote action; you initiate movement, but they decide when to move away from their dilemma. If they are not ready for adjustment, it does not matter what you do. You cannot shift them. We have previously written on issues arising during the ages 38 to 44, but it deserves more attention. It is a time of reconciling with oneself and usually we are pretty comfortable with who we are at this point in our lives. This is a time when we are restructuring our association with ourselves on a more profound level. A sense of individualization is occurring at a rapid pace, due to the major influences taking place in our lives. We are experiencing transiting Saturn in trine to its natal position and Neptune in square to its natal position. These signify inner transformations and a realistic approach to who we are. There may even be a feeling of urgency as our quest in life, our ego and the ongoing search for “who am I?” are undergoing alterations in the consciousness of those that feel they need answers. There is no formal training when it comes to dealing with the midlife crisis and no one can say they are prepared, particularly because no one knows exactly what to expect. Each individual goes through their own personal crisis followed by an awakening period. This is a time of great soul searching and a desire for inner change which often coincides with outer change, as one affects the other. The body is also undergoing physical changes during this time, and those who have placed too much attention on physical appearance may experience depression due to the reflection they are seeing in the mirror. Many who have placed importance on appearance will go deep within to find out what they actually have to offer, as the appearance previously has held an elevated position in their lives. The ego is actually in a somewhat delicate state as the inner self gains supremacy and control, at least for those who are searching for something more in life. At age 39, we mark the second return of the nodes to their Natal (birth) position. This is an important life cycle spiritually, as metaphorically the nodes are representative of our soul’s journey. There are two nodes, each exactly opposite the other. They are referred to as the north and south nodes. The south node speaks of our last incarnation and indicates what we have brought with us into this life. These characteristics can assist us but they can also hinder us, depending on how we use the inherent knowledge that we have brought over from our past. The north node is indicative of what we have come into this life to develop and bring into fruition. The north node characteristics are completely new to us - very unfamiliar territory. Sometimes the course we take in this life in order to fill our soul’s requirements can be difficult. We often have some degree of resistance toward anything new, but life will bring to surface incidents that can enhance the need to grow and push us in the intended direction. At the time of the second nodal return, it is as if a gateway has been reopened and we are re-acquainted with our commitment, but this time on a much more mature level. The previous return happened about the age of 19 and this period introduced us to adulthood. From the time of our Saturn return (age 29) until now, we have been re-visiting our purpose but mostly on a sub-conscious level. Now in entering this new cycle, we are reviewing our internal vows and making adjustments consciously. We are about to embark on the maturing phase of these proposed ventures. This cycle awakens our spiritual quest and the soul’s ongoing climb to mold with our conscious mind and our intended path or enlightenment. Spiritually, we are entering into a phase when one feels compelled to pursue a course of action that appeals to our transcendent mission. Many feel a strong push in this direction. Even if they are not aware of which direction to take; there is a sense of urgency. This period releases us to our purpose which has been held primarily internally in the subconscious self. The process for most of us is unhurried and for some even tedious, as there is a feeling that something is happening and an awakening is taking place, but it moves very slowly. The next return at around 57 produces much more significant results as throughout this process we are becoming awakened to the real purpose of our mission. During the time around the age 58 we also enter our second Saturn Return which follows along the same path as our first return experience at about the age 29. As you can see there are great internal factors at work and as internal changes take hold, external change is usually a by-product. There is a greater sense of destiny with this nodal return, and along with the solidification that Saturn offers, you will get a clearer picture of the purpose of this incarnation. We will discuss this 50’s time frame at a later date. Suffice to say the door has been opened and through meditation and an acknowledgement of a greater purpose than that of our earthly existence, we move steadily toward our intended path. Our origin predates birth. Our conception into this life was preordained. We have come into this life with an innate knowledge of the path we are meant to walk. We are spirits in a mortal life form, destined to facilitate our awakening as our life unfolds. Each and every one of us is on this path of enlightenment although enlightenment unfolds from our individual circumstances and life’s conditions. We are all on a path each engendered as male or female. Although this holds some relevance, it does not facilitate awakening. We learn primarily through life’s experience and are continually guided from within. This internal knowledge is constant and super“natural” – to the extent that we generally are blind to this gift. We are so focused on our earthly senses that we have drifted away from using this wonderful resource available to each and every one of us. Our part in this journey is to remain open to inner dialogue and to maintain the channel to our higher self so we can continually utilize our soul’s endless knowledge. This earthly body is a vehicle or channel for the soul’s expression. We are to maintain an open dialog between our higher self and the US we know. We have come into this life to allow the unfolding evolutionary path within and to do our part in facilitating this ongoing process on a global scale. We are in the early stages of awakening on a global level and each and every one of us is a contractor of this evolution of mankind. Do not dismiss your relevance. You are part of the whole. You are an important link in your own unique fashion; unique unto you although connected to the whole. Allow the flow of information to continue. Restore your understanding of your original purpose. Spread the information that is available to you through the abundant nature of your life’s force. Be one and in unity with the endless information within. Acknowledge it and allow it to flow throughout your world.

We all go through periods when we seem to be challenged with issues, and fighting the process as it unfolds seems futile. We sometimes feel pushed to the edge but we can only deal with things the best we can. The battles we wage sometimes create exaggerated issues and we would truly be much further ahead to roll with the punches. There is no way to avoid the lessons we have to learn in life, and at times, we just have to accept what stands before us. Letting go long before our coping abilities have been stretched to their limits seems to be an ability we are reluctant to practice. It is true that many of us learn only at the school of hard knocks. Simply allowing is often the best alternative yet we fight it. This is not a show of weakness or a deliberate act of surrender. It is a true show of faith. If we question our faith in the process, we bitterly hold on until we reach that point that we have no choice but to acknowledgement that no further actions can be taken on our part. Letting go and releasing our energies might be the best course of action available to us. Everything in life has significance. Determining our best approach is important not only for our sanity, but also for our greater good. If we have walked around the situation and viewed it from every angle and there is no satisfactory way to get rid of it, it is time to accept that it is there and climb it or maybe take a new course around it or even see it in its true light. In any case, enjoy the new view. Staying where you are and accomplishing nothing but frustrations serves no purpose. We have at our disposal all the ingredients we need to deal with life’s lessons. With the right frame of mind, we can continue our travels no matter how high the mountain is in front of us. Attitude and expectation mold our reality. We are at the controls even when we let go, for this too is a choice. We can halt our journey and stand in front of the mountain and feel defeated, or we can accept that the mountain is there, plan an alternate route or put on our climbing gear and enjoy the climb. Whether we choose to go around or to climb, we will eventually get to our destination, but if we stand in front of that mountain defeated and angry, we only hurt ourselves and forget to live. Go back in time even just a few years. How much has life changed over this short period? We bet you have made some remarkable changes and experienced growth. Uranus and Saturn are opposing forces in many ways. Saturn represents discipline, stability, structure, and the gradual movement towards a goal. Saturn’s energies do not like change or any kind of disruption and Saturn’s energies are quite willing to wait for things to settle before moving forward. Saturn’s energies are reliable, secure and offer rewards for perseverance and hard work. Uranus, on the other hand represents the need for change and its energies are disruptive which often initiate change. Uranus is a freedom-seeking planet, once again, through the agent of change and seeking the new because the old, outdated ways no longer serve a viable purpose. As you can see these planets’ energies oppose each other and are quite different. When in opposition, which often suggests that the energies in place stem from outside sources (often from the actions of others), we will find that Uranus will uproot what once was a stable and secure situation in life. Often, if an intimate relationship is part of the equation, people will separate, new relationships are formed and changes in the most secure relationships take place. If the relationship no longer satisfies the need for more space or more freedom of expression, changes will take place. If someone new and exciting comes into the picture, people may leave what was once a comfortable and satisfying relationship. The feeling that a change must take place may be felt for some time and this aspect will create an event to take place that will force the change. More often than not, it is someone else that instigates the change or some other outside influence with the energies of an opposition aspect. One thing that is frequently associated with this aspect is that longevity is not often a factor (when it comes to any new relationships). If this aspect somehow involves the workplace or occupation, changes often take place in these areas. Uranus’ action is often sudden and unexpected, and people will leave places where they have been employed for many years in search for something more in line with what they want or what they need currently in life. One thing is almost certain, the changes that take place are often seen drastic with little forethought and the behaviors can be rash. First and foremost be true to yourself. There is no greater reward than knowing you are yourself regardless of what the ego might want you to believe. You are you and nothing can take away any part of who you truly know yourself to be but you. Be true to your principles and stay strong with your beliefs and all that you stand for. Know yourself and be confident in that knowing. If you don’t like what you see take note, make changes where needed and allow you to be you. In the end, you will be who you want to be, so build on that. Stay steadfast regardless of life’s intrusions. Find a place within that feels comfortable, that feels right and connect to that. Mercury turned direct on January 8 or 9, 2017 (depending on where you live) in the final degrees of Sagittarius. It will move into Capricorn on the 13th of January, 2017, in Canada and will remain in Capricorn until February 8 when it moves into Aquarius. For those with their Sun in Capricorn, Mercury will make a conjunction to the Sun during these dates. Mercury is a very neutral planet taking on the energies of whatever it touches by planetary placement, house placement as well as any planetary angles that it receives. Since Mercury rules the mind and the thinking process as well as communicative techniques, when it is in direct motion and in the sign of Capricorn it might be a good time for serious thoughts about your future. Take into consideration any goals that you might have to achieve or your aspirations and move forward with them. Make sure you are not taking any shortcuts and also be sure that they are realistic and reachable, although the higher you aim, the greater the rewards. Your goals must be feasible and genuine in their nature. Are you willing to do the work it takes to make them happen? Saturn is the planet of restriction, delays, obstacles and hard work. It is known as the task maker or the teacher of the Zodiac. Saturn by birth position usually shows an area of life that we have to work at in order to make things succeed. If Saturn is poorly aspected in the birth chart this is doubly so, although Saturn also offers rewards for those with diligent work ethics. Saturn while in its direct motion through transit suggests that there will be time delays, limitations and boundaries to overcome, unlike most planets in their direct cycle. When Saturn turns retrograde which is about 140 days a year, its energies are quite the contrary. The retrograde motion of Saturn may be a time when you feel less restricted and held back, although signing agreements or making major decisions is not recommended. This is a time when you can rethink what action you can take in order to facilitate growth when the timing is better. This is a planning stage when you can actually take great strides forward when other planets trigger the appropriate timing factors. Saturn has a 29 year cycle and usually retrogrades about 15 degrees in each sign. It usually moves into retrograde up to 8-9 degrees during its cycle. As Saturn is linked with achievement, ambition and delivers what is truly deserved, when the Sun (also linked to ambition) through transit aspects Saturn, its square to Saturn often brings some struggles with regards to your goals and aspirations.
