This post applies to those who have their Sun in Capricorn, Libra, Aries and Cancer although we are primarily focusing on the conjunction aspect. There are various different aspects and each has its own abilities. The conjunction brings an emphasis while the square often brings challenging and often chaotic conditions. The opposition brings awareness for dynamic change to the self but often through other people’s interactions. If you have your Sun Sign in any of these cardinal positions listed in the opening sentence and your Sun is between 8-17 degrees in one of these signs, you will be experiencing the transit of Pluto accentuating your Sun sign. Pluto’s action begins in a subtle manner but gradually increases in its intensity. Many of those who are sensitive to its influence can feel its approach often as far away as 5-6 degrees and 2-3 degree when it is separating. Transiting Pluto has been moving back and forth between retrograde motion and direct motion for some time now and its impact is probably well known at this point. It finally went direct on September 23, 2014 and will remain in direct motion until June 2, 2015. After this later date, it will return to retrograde motion. This period has been noted as a great time of change and transformation in the lives of those that Pluto has touched. It is a time to orchestrate your ambitions and move forward with your objectives, but often you will have to delete obstructions to your desire to move ahead in life. This obstruction is now old and outdated and must be dealt with and seen as it truly is. If these states of affairs are no longer viable and do not serve some real purpose, you will have to disengage from them and move in a new direction. They no longer serve you and in order for a new birth to begin, you have to remove these obstacles that now stand in your way. They have served their purpose and no longer have significance in your life. You will find (particularly with the conjunction) that you now seem to have powerful energies that can keep you going and help you to eliminate these objects or habits that stand in the way of progress and achievement. You can reach your objectives as you are more prone to decisive action and assertion in the areas of life ruled by the house transiting Pluto is in and the house your Sun Sign is in. If your Sun is in Capricorn as this conjunction implies, you can move forward in your career objectives and personal sphere of activity with a new found enthusiasm and strong push to make things happen in your life. If you are experiencing the square or opposition aspects, you may find that it is more difficult to achieve these objectives, but you will have the push required to make sure that these inner and outer changes take place, although not without some challenges along the way. You can now remove old outworn and outdated parts of yourself that no longer serve you and you are the orchestrator of these actions, unless you are experiencing the opposition then someone else may be assisting you with the changes that need to happen. Understand that in most cases, these changes are what need to take place and you will gain momentum as this transit begins to unfold. You will eventually reap the rewards and understand the process completely when Pluto is out of range permanently, which can take up to two years. During this transit, you may uncover facets of your personality that might not be too pleasant to confront, but confront them you must, as you cannot eliminate or transform any part of yourself until you first acknowledge what exists. It is best to concentrate on yourself during this time although you can also be of assistance to others. You can challenge and transform obstructions in your life although you will have to watch for ego intervention. All must be done with good intentions and push you in positive directions. Facing yourself objectively and honestly may be a difficult task although a necessity in order to foster this transformation that now needs to come to life. I have read my chart and WOW. This Astrology chart sure captures ME. I still cannot get over how accurate it is. It certainly has helped me to understand the “why” behind my thought process and my emotion, and to understand the contradictions in my personality at times. There will be times during our various stages of enlightenment that we will question the validity of our experiences. Through meditation and other techniques, many individuals have discovered realms of existence that were once foreign to “normal” everyday life. Upon reflection, there will be times when we begin to falter and question our own perception of these experiences. This is a normal process and it is primarily due to ego interference, as connecting to spirituality and understanding of the true nature of reality, the ego has no dominance. In fear of losing its stronghold, the ego will break into our space and challenge the mind in whatever means suits it best to push us to question the validity of what is taking place in our lives. If we begin to question the ongoing process of our awakening to a higher state of awareness, it will usually be ego interference. This interference can take many forms and the more threatened the ego becomes, the stronger it will push you to doubt your perceptions of reality and challenge your belief structure. The ego is actually unaware of its positive value in our evolution and it fears that it will be lost or somehow thrown away or discarded. It is believed that there is also a higher scope of existence for the ego where it to will be free of limitations and open to the love and compassion as is the true course of all existence. When you find your belief structures being challenged, have a close look at where this questioning might be coming from. This is not to say that if something does not feel right that you should follow it blindly. You will learn to decipher the difference between truth and illusion. Through facilitating an outlook or belief structure that states that you will only learn the truth, there is no fear of illusion. When the ego infiltrates your conscious state with questions or intrusions, if you take the time to review and study them, you will know instinctively whether they are real or illusion. Always having faith. Your “knowing” that you are walking the correct path can and will be challenging at times especially during any transitional stage. You are being challenged because the past ways of living no longer holds you in their grip, and you are consciously aware of the change that is taking place in your life on many levels. Move forward with confidence and follow your heart. You may be traversing a new trail in your life, but if you look closely the path is well trodden and many others walk beside you. Our world is always undergoing a transformation and this evolutionary change is affecting our whole planet on one level or another. In 2014, the Sun moves into the sign of Scorpio on Friday, October 24. This post applies to those individuals that are born with their Sun in Scorpio and to a lesser degree those born with a Scorpio Ascendant. There are three main types of Scorpio people and this is why it is such a misrepresented sign. It is often referred to or designated as the Scorpion whose character traits are often the ones that are less desirable. The sign of Scorpio also has the salamander and the eagle personalities. The Scorpion carries with it traits such as deception and these individuals can harbour qualities that are not to be trusted. The sextile between Neptune and Pluto is a long standing aspect and it has been in influence for 70 years, therefore, everyone under the age of 70 will have this aspect in their birth chart. This is a very sensitive placement between these two outer planets and is said to stimulate psychic and clairvoyant abilities, particularly if the Sun or Moon are also aspected by these planets. The closer the sextile is to being direct, the stronger the influence. This sextile began in the Second World War around 1942 and deals with inner exploration and our mystical journey. In my opinion during the onset of the Second World War many of those involved or affected would have spent time in contemplation as to the “why” behind this war and through this contemplation they would have learned a great deal about themselves during their plight. This would have taken place on a global scale and even those that were fighting and that were not influenced by this sextile in their birth chart, would have had it in transit and as a result, it would have been affecting different areas of their natal chart. Pluto and Neptune both deal with the subconscious. Neptune deals with spirituality while Pluto deals with transformation. There are many forms of self-doubt but the one constant ingredient stems from the ego’s interference. The ego tends to stagnate our growth through its necessity for control and tries to regulate how we feel about ourselves. This does not have to have a negative impact on us as it can provide us with positive information about our desire for and ability to create continued growth. Without the ego’s stimulation to push forward in life and its push for us to believe in ourselves, we would ultimately stagnate in every area of life. In some very important ways, the ego reinforces our positive traits in times of self-doubt. The ego, however, does have many faces and some focuses of ego are not in our best interests. The ego can invade our sense of self and makes us hold on to ideas and concepts that feed our ego, sometimes magnifying our own importance to a point that we feel somehow better than others. This is a common burst of the ego’s intent. It promotes a sense of exploded importance. When ego is controlled, we understand that each and every one of us do have our own special talents which does make us special but certainly not better than our neighbour who also has their own special talent. Ultimately, we are all equal. The ego can also stands in our way of self-knowledge and can send out self-defeatist attitudes and beliefs that hinder our growth. When ego is put in its proper place, true growth can prevail in many areas of life, so that the primary purpose of ego is to help nurture spiritual values and the understanding that we are all spiritual beings living in physical bodies. This physical body is a vehicle to temporarily house our subconscious. We are to honour it but it is available to us to use it as a tool to obtain a conscious understanding of whom we truly are. If we invest too much time identifying with the ego (and there are many times throughout or lives that we take this route as we are not totally aware of our cosmic consciousness and our connection with the greater whole) we lose track of our true destiny and our calling. We become wrapped up in material and mental ambitions. We thwart our connection to the true self and actually lose our true identity. Should our goal not be to reunite with our inner consciousness? Should we not control the ego so as to use it in a positive manner so that it can help propel us in our proper direction and open up the channels within that allow entry to these hidden routes to our consciousness? Self-doubt is certainly an obstacle in our evolution. We can avoid many mislead detours leading us away from our greater purpose when we control our ego and use it as a positive tool. We are here to define ourselves and our uniqueness. Together we can stimulate our true potential to spread love and compassion within our own circles and eventually spreading far and beyond our current influence. Do not allow self-doubt to stagnate your intended growth or from following the path that leads to self-discovery and spiritual understanding. Faith is a difficult concept when one relies on a rational thought process. Faith stands apart from what could be considered a logical and/or physical concept. Faith is not something that one can buy or receive from someone else. Faith is a knowing that cannot be taught; it just is! Faith is not necessarily a religious experience. To build on faith, you only require one action, acceptance. Faith is not an idea or even a belief structure as these are finite. Faith is infinite yet translucent in its nature. You cannot put your finger on it and you cannot suggest that it is a living thing, although in many ways it is the living matter behind all that is. Faith is a knowing of the truth. It is a knowing that truth is alive and living within you. It has no material base although it encompasses a solid foundation that you can build on. Faith is not a concept or idea. It is a knowing that will release us from the anxieties of life. Faith involves letting go of your perceptions of how you “think” life should be. Having faith is a knowing that life is moving exactly and precisely as it should always be, regardless of the mind’s interaction. Faith is knowing that you will always be on track even in the face of adversity or judgement from others. Open your heart to the natural faith within. Release fear, judgement and expectations. Neptune is the mysterious planet that ruled the sign Pisces. Neptune is very subtle in its nature and is known as the planet of illusion, inspiration and psychic perception. Those with a strong Neptune in their birth chart often have mystical inclinations and psychic abilities. Neptune also has an ability to deceive and colour reality, and it places blinders on many when in transit. Neptune also has to do with artistic abilities and inspirational writing. In times of depression or deep sadness due to someone else’s actions, are we still able to forgive--even the most intrusive behaviours or actions? Are we able to separate the self from the ego’s reaction? Are we emotionally mature enough to reject hate and bitterness due to someone’s action? Regardless of the event or the intentions, is there forgiveness? How do we “allow” and move forward? Hostility, revenge, hate.....these are automatic primary reactions. Forgiveness, however, is not always an easy task. Letting go and moving beyond the hurt can be difficult, as the ego relentlessly wants some type of justice. But, these that are the hardest things to do, are the very things that we must do for our own health and wellbeing. Events may not seem fair and in many cases they probably are not, but somehow we must learn to forgive even the most formidable acts but not necessarily for those that carried them out. Most of all, we must let go for ourselves. Hanging on to hate and wanting vengeance absolutely serves no purpose. In reality, the emotional stress of carrying this baggage can and will bring on mental and physical dis”ease”. How do we learn to forgive when someone takes away something we treasure, such as our resilience, our serenity or our hope? Unfortunately, many of these individuals that hurt other and have a total disregard for their actions are so discontent with their own lives that they feel (whether consciously or unconsciously) that they need to try to bring other to their emotional state. We have all heard the term “Misery needs company”. Feeling sad, lonely and unloved is a difficult place to exist. There are many reasons people allow themselves to exist under these conditions. They may have developed emotionally under similar conditions...not knowing anything different. They may have experienced events in their life that they have not worked through or there could be mental or other emotional conditions. Does this negate the atrocities that some of these individuals commit? Does it somehow make it alright? Not to those that have suffered at their hands or from their words. The individuals that are the most difficult to love, are they not the individuals that require our love the most? We must however know our own limitations and if our emotional or physical health suffers as a result of something out of our control, we must love ourselves enough to walk away from the situation. To live our lives in pursuit ofjustice and/or revenge and to allow ourselves to be filled with hate can only bring us in a place of sorrow, anger, resentment and disease. These emotional places will never offer solace and peace. Letting go and forgiving is perhaps one of the hardest thing that we will have to do in our lives. Holding on to grief and resentment can and will only erupt within the structures of our being and its fruit produces only more suffering. Many hold onto and eventually own these repressive feelings. Many do not consciously realize that this is a choice and by making this choice we perpetuate these feelings of grief and torment. What we so despise in others, we grow in our own inner garden. If we despise hate and anger in others, do those individuals that we come in contact throughout our lives not despise our anger and resentment in the same way? Forgiveness breaks the cycle. Inner peace will never be found without forgiveness. Those that have wronged us may not deserve our forgiveness, but WE do! Karma will be the judge and the jury. It does not need your help or focus. If these individuals will not accept your love and are not willing to help themselves, forgive and release yourself from the situation. Wish them well in the hopes that they learn from their life’s experiences. Allow love to grow even from of the darkest corners of your being and reap the rewards from these actions.
