This post on the transit of Pluto can apply to the conjunction to natal Venus, progressed Venus and Venus in the solar chart. How we interpret the energies will depend on which house Pluto is transiting, its natal position and the house that Venus is in within the current chart. Is this aspect currently in your chart? Regardless of where these planets are located in the Astrology chart, Venus’ energy focuses on relationships and Pluto can have profound effects on the sexual content of these relationships. Pluto adds passion and intensity to sexual unions and although it signifies a passionate relationship, it will not be without some type of energy evolved around control issues. Pluto can be very compulsive, even obsessive and seeks domination and power. Therefore, any relationship which began under this influence will not be a light-hearted one. Your involvement will be all inclusive and the potential for transformation on deep internal, physical and emotional levels are indicative of this combination. Our next New Moon falls in the sign of Aries at 22 degrees on April 11, 2021. Allowing for a three-degree orb of influence, this placement is quite active making a conjunction with Venus (25 degrees Aries), a sextile to Mars (22 degrees Gemini), a sextile to Jupiter (25 degrees Aquarius) and a semi-sextile to Neptune (21 degrees Pisces). As New Moon’s speak of beginnings and fresh starts, when in Aries, this would imply that an aggressive push would be centered around the potential for romantic involvement or beginning an enterprise among other potentials that would be more clearly defined within the placements of these planets and their connections to your personal natal chart. The conjunction to Venus and sextile to Mars certainly points in the direction of a new relationship. In the face of adversity what is your best defense? Do you use your flight response? Do you seek shelter from aggression and/or attack? Do you use the fight response? The moon is not a planet even though it functions as a planet. According to Universe today, a moon is defined to be a celestial body that makes an orbit around a planet. It can be referred to as a natural satellite. For our purposes, we will refer to the moon as a planet for simplicity sake. Void of Course Moon is a phenomenon that actually occurs quite frequently (approximately every two to three days). The Moon is the fastest moving planet (again for simplicity sake) travelling through the Zodiac signs. It takes the Moon two and one-half days to move from one sign to the next and during that time, it makes many aspects to all the planets in our solar system. When the Moon reaches its furthest degree in a sign while still making a major aspect to one of the planets, (Conjunction, Sextile, Trine, Square and Opposition) it is not considered Void Of Course. After the Moon completes its last applying aspect to one of these planets, (for example it makes a conjunction to Mars at 26 degrees and 36 minutes of Aries and then does not make another aspect to any planet until it reaches Taurus) it is then void of course. The Void of Course (VOC) period could last as little as minutes or as long as a couple of days. As mentioned, the moon can stay VOC for as much as two days but this is quite rare. During this period, regardless of how short or long the period may be, Astrology tells us that we should not make any important decisions or start new projects. It has been noted that beginning something of importance during these periods often produces less than desirable results. Often things do not go as planned, and as a result, they require adjustment once this lunar cycle has completed its duration. Our judgement is often not as sharp as usual, and reconstruction is often a by-product of decisions made during a VOC period. It is suggested that during these periods, we should spend time reflecting and regrouping through acts of deliberation or meditative practices. Once the Moon has entered the next sign, plans and events seem to move along better and we avoid possible delays and frustrations that are often accompany times of VOC Moon. In Astrology, the aspects between the Moon and any other planetary forces speak to us concerning traits and life events. When the Moon goes VOC, it is as though there is no message being sent, and life and our plans for life hesitate and loose communication to our cosmic guidance. This is not to say that nothing happens, but it seems that making plans during this time is best to be avoided and should be pursued once the Moon moves into the next sign. Is this a myth or an Astrological phenomenon? You be the judge. There are websites that can provide you with specific times for these periods and their durations. From April 6 to April 15 (2021) transiting Mars will be making a square to transiting Neptune. Their closest positioning will be at almost 22 degrees and Neptune will be in Pisces, while Mars will be in Gemini. Mars in Gemini is quick, agile and explosive although often short lived. Neptune in Pisces has to do with the psychic realm of life along with deception if poorly aspected and enlightening when favorably aspected. Much will depend on the aspects to this positioning in your natal chart and the houses which they are transiting through as well as the natal houses being affected. The transit of these two planets is short lived although can be quite noticeable and assertive if not even forceful. Mars is about aggressive action and pushing ahead, and when in square, it may do so in rather impulsive ways and through determined action. The will to move through any adverse situation, if this is the case, will be met with a powerful force because the square although tedious and challenging will make its way through regardless of obstacles. The energy and desire to work through difficulties is part of the picture because the impediment is difficult enough and aggravating enough that we are forced to deal with it, or at the very least we should. Neptune can be illusive and subtle in its energies, and when Neptune is being challenged, it does not deal with facts, especially cold hard facts very well. The tendency is to run and hide or not face up to what is in place. However, there is a strong spiritual connection when Neptune is in Pisces and the answer is often found through subconscious channels. Much can be observed through acts of meditation and dream evaluation. In the birth chart, Mars square Neptune is a difficult placement and Mars can suggest challenges when it comes to pushing ahead with matters. There is a strong desire to avoid at almost any cost any challenging situations. Mars, however, pushes ahead and depending on which houses and signs are involved, Mars wants definition and clarity and wants the truth to be brought forward into the light. There can be an aggressive push to conquer any difficulties with psychic interpretation and mystical unfolding over time. The angles in an Astrology chart are Ascendant {AC} (cusp of the first house), Midheaven {Medium Coeli -MC) (cusp of the tenth house), Imum Coeli {IC} (cusp of the fourth house) and Descendant {DC}) (cusp of the seventh house). These four distinctive angles are highly sensitive areas when touched by transiting (current placement) planets, or progressed planets. The planets are also important in event forecasting, especially the outer planets (Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto) due to their slow rate of travel through the Zodiac. Due to the slow speed of their movement, the energies have a longer effect than the inner planets and can affect an area of your chart for several years. Although you will be affected during the whole period of the aspect, the closer the aspect is to being direct, the stronger the energy. When within one degree of being direct, the energies are quite strong. It is important to look at the planet that is being transited and the natal aspects (aspects in your birth chart) to this planet along with any other transits or progressions that are influencing the degree in question. If a natal planet has any other planets or key point in the birth chart affecting it by natal aspect, these additional planets or key points will also be affected by the transit in question. The more aspects a natal planet receives from other natal planets and key points, the stronger the influence will be. The energies of the planets involved and the house placements will help define how the energies might be released. The overall picture, which includes the transiting planet, its house position and its natal position must be taken into consideration when unlocking the potential of a transit when it occurs. When a transiting outer planet is within one degree of being direct to a natal planet by aspect, you should look at the transits of Uranus, Mars, the Sun as well as the progressed Moon. When any of these planets activate the natal planet being affected, the energies will be released. For example, let’s say that transiting Pluto is squaring your natal Sun. This aspect indicates that changes on a personal level are taking place. This could also have a professional effect, but much will be determined by the house placement of the Sun and also Pluto. The closer the degree is to being direct, the stronger the aspect. With our example of the square, let’s say that the planets are 0 degrees and 20 minutes apart, so the energies are strong as they are only out by half a degree. It is also necessary to check to see if one of the planets that trigger an event is in the same degree particularly by conjunction, as this will undoubtedly activate an event and stimulate activity to take place. Uranus can usually be used on its own to the exact degree to the minute defining activity in the area of life depicted by house positions. Mars and the Sun will also activate what is potentially promised, but Uranus can often be counted on to release the energies often exact, within a couple of days. If transiting Uranus is making the aspect in the natal chart, this might be enough to determine when things will happen, but Uranus is very unpredictable and what might take place can be very difficult to pinpoint. With Uranus you have to expect the unexpected. These timing factors can often help determine the potential timeline within a one month period. These timing planets can help define when things will happen. The transit itself when separating (exact separation) from the natal point in question will also define how long the energies are active. The energies will begin to subside after the exact degree aspect (with a square for example exactly 90 degrees) begins to separate. With the proper delineation of a chart, Astrology can definitely point the way, although we as individuals control our attitude towards any event and this will defines how the energies of that event will affect us. On March 28, 2021, we will be experiencing a Full Moon in the sign of Libra. Libra is the sign of balancing and the need for harmony and fairness in all situations. This Full Moon is at 8 degrees and is in opposition to transiting Venus which is at 7/8 degrees of Aries. Venus is the ruling planet of Libra as well as Taurus. Venus often has to do with relationships and expressions of love and affection. When in opposition to the Full Moon’s placement, this often indicates challenging conditions and in many cases issues that stem from the other or another person involved. The Full Moon is known best as the time to harvest our efforts. It is indicative of the culmination of events. This Full Moon aspect might indicate that this difficult situation has been in place for some time and is now reaching its final stages. If this is a relationship of significance (because Venus is in the sign of Aries) this often indicates that the energies have to do with personal issues. Sometimes sex is part of the equations especially if natal Mars is involved in the equation. Transiting Mars will be making a square to this position in early May. Mars is often used as a timer and can also suggest that arguments or in some rare cases violence or aggressive action is stimulated.
