FULL MOON IN LEO 2024

Today, January 25, 2024, at 12:54 PM EST, we will be experiencing a Full Moon in the sign of Leo at 5°.

This is a time when you perfected what you set out to do when we had the New Moon in the same sign approximately 6 months ago.  If you did not work at your goals that you set, perhaps now is time to readjust or let things go.  It takes work to reach this culmination point and those that started but did not continue their efforts may now fall short.

If you did the work, now is the time to reap the rewards for a job well done or an adventure orchestrated into being.  This is the time to infuse this objective into your life and use what you started with enthusiasm during the New Moon in Leo last August. 

When in the sign of Leo, it is important to realize that this project has been your responsibility and its success is focused on you.  Even in the beginning, you knew it was up to you, and you likely didn’t ask anyone for assistance although it might not have been a bad idea.  You felt you knew best and had the best intensions put in place to move ahead, which would not only advance your cause but also affect others in a positive way. 

If you have a planet in close proximity to the Full Moon’s 5° in Leo position, either by conjunction or opposition, this Full Moon energy will certainly affect you.  This also applies to the trine, sextile and square.  The easier aspects can be used in an easy flowing manner, while the more challenging aspects will require some push to make things happen.  Check which houses are involved in the connected placements and what planets (energies) are associated with these placements (including the transiting Moon).

Transiting Saturn in Pisces will be in quincunx to this position indicating some adjustment to the process.  Saturn is direct at 5° currently.  Saturn can make things a little tedious so you can expect some delays or obstacles to overcome while proceeding ahead. 

Transiting Jupiter, which is at 6° Taurus will be square to this placement perhaps making the adjustment caused by Saturn a little more difficult to handle.  Jupiter, although usually a favourable influence, can also expand the energies in place, making life a little more difficult as it amplifies Saturn. A square is difficult enough that it pushes so that we want to find a solution to overcome the adversity.

SATURN SQUARE MIDHEAVEN

We will focus on Transiting Saturn square the Midheaven.

Saturn Square Midheaven

Currently (January 2024) Transiting Saturn is in early degrees of Pisces.  If you have your MC (Midheaven) in the Gemini or Sagittarius depending on the degree of your MC, you will be experiencing this square in your birth chart.  Saturn does not move into Aries on a permanent basis until February, 2026, so you will be under this influence at some point during Saturn’s stay in Pisces.

Pisces is a gentle, peace-loving sign and thrives on service on some level.  Pisces is spiritual and religious in many cases and is a strong believer in the unseen. It goes with the flow and avoids conflicts of any kind.  It is the dreamer of the Zodiac and many with strong emphasis of this sign in their charts are the visionaries, the mystics, and the escapists of the Zodiac.  The escapist characteristics stem from the want for peace and tranquility. Many with a strong Pisces’ influence can use drugs or alcohol to escape, at least temporarily, from some of the harsher realities of life.  Of course, you will have to review the whole chart to see if this holds true.

Saturn on the other hand has to do with reality and security and the stabilization of activities often related to securing structure that has a lasting potential.  Saturn is also associated with challenges, stumbling blocks, tedious obligations to get the job done and reliability.  Saturn often indicates hard work and discipline and is known as the teacher of the Zodiac. Saturn pushes us to move out of complacency and urges us to stand strong again the pressures of life.

When Saturn makes the challenging square aspect to our Midheaven, this often suggests that there are obstacles in the way.  Hard work is indicated, and setbacks are often part of the picture.  This can lead to concern and worry about where life is taking us, especially connected to our career, our goals, aspirations and our status in life.  Recognition may not come easily, and work can be disrupted or even challenged to such a degree that changes must be made.  There are no shortcuts, and you will not find the road easy.

If, however, you decide to challenge the situation and work towards building a solid foundation that appears to be falling apart, the rewards for hard work and diligence can be great.  Saturn insists that you work for a result even if you can’t see the end game in the near future.  Sturdiness and stability are often built into what you have committed yourself to accomplish.  You will learn patience, perseverance and gain inner strength even if you fall short of your endeavors as long as you keep working towards an end result.

It likely will not be an easy road and much will depend on the natal potential and how Saturn is aspected along with the other transiting aspects.  Stay the course and work your way through adversity and remain true to your ambitions.  Do not get caught up in any negativity that might befall you and stay strong and focused.

THE CHOICE IS YOURS

What is your response when life is trying to tell you something? 

Do you pay heed, or do you try to ignore the nudges? 

There is a reason why life seems to be dictating action.  A change is needed.  Perhaps you need to revamp your expression and cultivate a more congenial expression or perhaps you have been too soft and have neglected your own personal needs by not being assertive.

There are many personal abilities that you may not be aware that you possess.  You may think that you do not have the strength or ability to bring what is necessary to the forefront.  You may not be aware of the way you represent yourself in public or the way you are in the comfort of your own home and with family.

Sometimes we just need to have a closer, honest look at how we respond in life. Life often gives us hints as to what needs to be done.  Some indicators are easy to recognize and others not so much.  We might not like what we see or may be afraid of making a stand. Your preconceived notions of what you believe you are capable of doing and what you feel needs to change may be clouded by fear.

Circumstances can push us so that we face what needs to come to the surface.  Some call this coincidence while others recognize that this is not coincidence at all.  This information can come from many different sources and can be received on many different levels.  The more aware we are, the clearer the message.

The Choice is Yours

As with many of life’s nudges or insights, it is up to us to do what needs to be done. We must make the moves.  In some cases, if we decide not to change direction or make alterations, life takes away the option and we are forced to make these changes and it is dealt with the hard way.

Making changes when we are nudged usually has a far easier flow than when we are forced to make changes, but the choice is ours.
