ROCK AND ROLL WITH LIFE

When challenges arise, we need to know when to fight and when to let go.  Some circumstances are worth the fight, but others will simply wear us down and over time create more adversity and less peace in our lives if we do not let go. 

Ask yourself, “is this worth fighting for?” 

Can I change what is happening; if so “how”?

Some fight more for their ideals when we are young; others fight when they are more mature and less likely to ride the conformist train.  There are some who will never fight for whatever reasons they believe a fight is not worth the outcome.  Where do you fit in?

Age (whatever that age may be) sometimes defines when we are ready to make changes, but in general, life can dictate when change will take place.

Life events can stir us into action or force us to retreat.  To a degree, we are at the mercy of life events, but at the same time, we control our own actions and reactions. 

Sometimes we need to rock and roll with life; roll with the punches and at times rock the foundation we stand on.

THE REAL YOU

To understand who you truly are, you would have to go back into your archives, back to where it all started. 

No one really knows their beginning, but many believe that this is not the first incarnation of our earthly journey.  Some believe that there have been several other incarnations that have brought us to this current one.

The Real You

Who are we, really?

What are we capable of doing?

We are far more than who we see on the surface.  We are the culmination of every lesson we have experienced. Again, I ask then what are we capable of because of these uncountable lessons?

We know we are spiritual in our true nature, a small piece of God (don’t get caught up on the word we chose to use). We can use the word “whole”, “universe” “nature” and the list goes on. It has been said that the whole or God is indivisible.  We then are a part of a whole which cannot be divided.

Are we attempting to unite that which can’t be separated? 

Perhaps while pondering these questions, you might ask if this life is just about material rewards and accomplishments? 

There must be some valuable lessons that are taught through this existence or we would not be so wrapped up in attaining and success, at least for those that are.  What valuable lessons are taught through these gains and losses? 

Why have we entered this existence which is so tied to achievement and what does this experience teach us?

The real you is spiritual and has much knowledge and insight that can provide great assistance in this life particularly for yourself as you cannot assist others until you help yourself first. 

Can we assist humankind on its evolutionary quest as an individual? 

Do not, for one moment, think that your part in life is too small to make a difference.  An ocean is made of uncountable single drops of water. Push forward with your pure love and compassion for self and your brothers and sisters. Each and every one of us has work to do.  What is the real you capable of doing if your know that there are no limits?

PATIENCE AND ITS REWARDS

Learning to be patient is by no means an easy task, yet we are often faced with the need for patience daily.  They say patience is a virtue and through experience, we must agree that practicing patience leads to less stress. Those that have learned patience know that things move along just as they should and sometimes even though we feel ready for the next step, in reality, we may still have a little more to learn or practice before moving forward.

Patience and It's Rewards

We must develop patience to remove stress from our lives. Most things take time, and when impatient, we just create anxiety and worry when these are not necessary. 

If it feels as though life is standing still or moving at a snail’s pace, utilize the time to reassess things. We may just find solutions to issues we would not have found if we had moved forward when we were not ready.

There is nothing wrong with being excited to proceed with goals or dreams. Without dreams we place limits.

We will get to where we need to go in good time, and we will also be ready for it when it arrives. 

Use the quiet times for mental processing to be ready when opportunities come knocking. Also remember to take time to rest and recharge, too.  These are essential.

If the process is not moving as quickly as you would like, do a review of what is important.  Practice patience and its rewards will compensate you. You can learn patience the hard way and create stress and anxiety, or you can learn to accept the pace life insists on moving at. Be kind to yourself!
