SUN IN CAPRICORN ASPECTS

Sun in Capricorn Aspects

The sun goes into Capricorn on December 21, 2024 and the following aspects will relate to those individuals that have their Sun in Capricorn at the corresponding degrees.  You can allow a 5–8° orb of influence. Within this range, the aspects will be in effect in your chart and will automatically strengthen as they near  the exact degree of your Capricorn Sun.  Review an ephemeris to get the exact degree and timing of the planets that we are about to speak about.

We will look at transiting Uranus and Saturn as they have a greater impact than any of the inner planets to this position.  The inner planets move too quickly to have any type of lasting influence, whereas the outer planets move much more slowly and will therefore have a longer and more lasting impact in your life.

Currently (December 2024) we see Uranus at 24° in the sign of Taurus and Saturn at 13° in the sign of Pisces.  Both contacts or aspects to Sun in Capricorn are considered positive in nature and carry with them the energies of easy flow, opportunities, change and stability.  Saturn and Uranus will be making a tight sextile to one another as well from March to September of 2025 becoming exact March and April of 2025 in and around 24/25°.  If your Sun is around these degrees (and taking into account the orb of influence), then this will be a prime time for needed change and then a stabilization period shortly thereafter.  You will likely have known that a change of direction was coming prior to this time frame.

From the time of this post (again December 2024), Saturn will move through the sign of Pisces entering Aries for the first time towards the end of May, 2025.  Saturn in Sextile to your Sun suggests that there may be some extra lessons that have to be undertaken with your spiritual connectedness and a stabilization period connected to these goals if this is part of your current assignment.  (The reason I use the term “assignment” is due to the fact that Saturn is known as the teacher and also the disciplinarian. Although it often indicates more duties and some testing along the way it also brings with it, using a steadfast approach, the opportunity to build a solid foundation to whatever you might be trying to implement into your life’s lesson).  This aspect is goal oriented and can also suggest changes to your path or changes coming from within.

During December 2024, Transiting Uranus will be at 24° Taurus moving into Gemini, which is a much more comfortable place for Uranus, in July 2025.  It moves back into Taurus in November 2025, and then will finally stay in Gemini towards the end of April 2026.

Uranus is making a trine to your Sun if your sun is in the later degrees of Capricorn from about 20° onward.  The trine is indicative of easy flow, good opportunities, promising outcomes through change and reorientation.  This may be a time of looking at your life’s path and making changes because where you are no longer suits your current path forward.  Change can be difficult especially when we speak of Uranus in Taurus as Taurus likes things to remain the same but Uranus’ upcoming position in Gemini will likely foster in change in a much easier manner.  Much will depend on the areas of life affected (house positions involved) and the other aspects within your natal chart.  You can expect some disruption and perhaps some of these changes might take place with little notice especially if you have been putting off what needs to take place. 

Sun in Capricorn aspects include Saturn and Uranus and together they will create a push and pull situation where you will want things to remain steadfast and at the same time want change.  This can be difficult, but life will take you where you need to go. Make the move before life forces it on you. The outcome can enhance your life.

REGENERATION AND TRANSFORMATION

A shift occurs for many around the age of 29, again around 42 and once more about the age of 59.  These are common times when we go through major regeneration and transformations inside and out. These times can be rather traumatic or in contrast quite liberating.  These are turning points in our ongoing evolution.

Regeneration and Transformation

At the age of roughly 28-29, we find ourselves moving through a period of testing and a time of new beginnings, and in some cases, endings.  We enter a new stage in life where who we were previously no long matches the person we are becoming or we may set out to accomplish something that we deem necessary in our life. We may reach out for change to gain momentum and cement our future.  In a year or two after our 28th or 29th birthday, life looks completely different and our groundwork we created during this transition period laid the foundation for what is yet to come.

Between the age of 40 to roughly 43, we are again faced with decisions.  Has our life become stale? Is it time for regeneration? 

What used to be likely no longer suits our current journey.  During this phase, we are subject to sudden moves and sometimes these are rather unpredictable. There is a degree of uncertainty as to “should we or should we not” with whatever we are contemplating.  When we do decide to move in a new direction, other people may be surprised because what was in place seemed normal or traditional and our current actions seem a little erratic.  But as we go through this period, we find that life’s direction has changed, and our actions have put us on track and have moved us in the right direction.

At around age 58 or 59, we go through another major transformation as we approach the senior stage of development.  Some contemplate retirement.  Some are put into situations where life takes them down a road that they did not foresee.  Some change direction and begin anew although not often as dynamic as the previous change period around 42.  This current stage is a time of maturation and development that will now push us forward into our golden age although this may still be a long way off. We are preparing for these days and understand that time waits for no one.

During the periods around ages 28-29, 40-43 and 58-59, we move through stages of development sometimes brought on by others, sometimes brought on by our own needs and sometimes brought on through life circumstances.  We learn to adapt, regenerate and push our way forward through the continual regeneration and transformation of life.

PLUTO TRINE NATAL NORTH NODE

When transiting Pluto is making a Trine to your natal North Node, it is also making a Sextile to your natal South Node.  Both aspects are considered to be quite favorable as they offer opportunities and easy flow when it comes to reaching our objectives.  Life flows in a more positive and promising manner during the period of influence.  The Trine is the more favorable one of the two and suggests that there is good luck, easing of any tension that might otherwise have been in place and now is the opportunity to advance in a direction that is very suitable for your path in life.  Goals can be reached easier, and you are in a better frame of mind and seem to know where you are headed.

Pluto’s action is unavoidable and pushes us to make changes suggested by the houses connected to it in the Astrology chart.  Pluto often begins in a subtle manner gradually pushing harder and harder until eventually if you are not abiding to the change, the energies can take control and move you in the required direction.  There are no halfway measures with Pluto; but with the Trine, the path forward is very satisfying. Eventually, you will see that the intended route is exactly where you need to go.

Pluto can be forceful especially when you are not wanting to move in the required direction.  There can be ego disputes, and, in some cases, we are not totally clear on where our North Node will take us. As a result, there can be fear or anticipation and anxiety of just what that might be. 

The North Node is often a direction which we are not accustomed to or do not know, so it can be uncomfortable when we are asked to make these changes. Rest assured however that you will go where you need to go. With the Trine, this likely will work out very well for you and be much easier than you first might have thought it would be. 

Worry and anxiety come from our mind’s interference, and we should not be overly concerned when the Trine is part of the picture.

The Sextile is also considered favorable and suggests opportunities for regeneration and transition but not without some effort on our part.  We can choose to act and then the potential is stronger and likely also advantageous, or we can sit back and do nothing which would most likely make these energies pass by with little to no notice or affect.

Both aspects, the Trine and the Sextile, are what we wait for and after the energy has dissipated some 2 years down the road, we will appreciate the direction that life has taken us.  Things shift often in profound ways and meeting new people along the way is often a side-shoot of this combination. 

With Pluto Trine Natal North Node be ready for change and learn to adapt because this is exactly what you need for the time being. If you are not open, Pluto may push for this change anyway.  Don’t fight the inevitable.
