You may choose to give up your goals due to different responsibilities at the time. Perhaps you are a parent, for example, and you are fulfilling your responsibilities to guide and nurture your children. Because of this, you have set aside other life ambitions to do the best job you can at being a parent. 

Taking it a step further, you may have become lost in the needs of others and find it impossible to fulfill your own wishes due to the obligations you have made to others.

Taking care of your children is certainly a priority. By deciding to have children, you have committed to being a parent and sometimes parenting takes up much of your time but you as an individual are still important.  Fulfill your responsibilities but also fulfil your duties for yourself!  You can’t be the best person possible if you are not caring for the very foundation your children rely on.

When young, your children must have your guidance, support and nurturing. As they begin maturing into themselves, especially in their teenage years, you will notice that they are more influenced by their peers. Letting go is difficult as you have always put them first. Have faith that the seeds of knowledge you have planted have germinated and will bear fruit. 

You are still there for your children but now it is time to let them utilize what they have learned and grow into the responsible adults you have helped groomed them to be.  By doing so, you can now prioritize yourself.

It is not only your children that can set the stage for your priorities. Perhaps these influencers are your parents or your friends, or perhaps your spouse or employer.  It is not selfish to practice self-care. The road of less resistance may be the vary road that steals your choices.

There are always mitigating factors that will try to influence your choices. If you have been neglecting what you know is best for you, now is the time to take back control.  Make a conscious decision to make yourself a priority.  Being pushed into choices you prefer not to make is still a choice.  Take responsibility! Walk the road of self-discovery and make your life by your design.

It might just be time to open the door to your own personal discovery. 

Meditation can bring forth much which is otherwise hidden.  Through opening these channels, we allow a flow from outside sources and attract unseen or hidden material not available to us in the busy day-to-day mind.

Yours to Discover

What you find will be personal and specific for you.  You are able to discuss what comes to you with others, and they may have had similar experiences, but your experiences are unique to you.  What becomes available is important at this moment and can help you with your understanding of your personal journey.

Any questions you may have can be answered and in turn comprehended and utilized by you. These answers will also be for the purpose of your perception that much goes on beneath the surface in life. You move along at your own pace and often gather momentum once the connection is made but you must do the work required.

You may begin to understand the why behind your experience.  You may find a deeper understanding of who you are and the gifts or tools you have brought with you to formulate the route to your destiny.

Do not listen to the mind’s chatter, especially in the beginning when it tries to stop you before you begin to go deep.  The mind wants control and will relay any type of information whether helpful or a hindrance. Go beyond the surface of your existence. Practice stilling the mind so that a much wiser process can provide you with whatever assistance you may require.

Practice and follow-through are of utmost importance.  What lies beyond the mind’s useless chatter is yours to discover. Don’t give in to the pressures presented by the mind and continue your movement forward to see what lies beyond.

2024 LEO NEW MOON

On August 4, 2024, we will be experiencing the energies of a New Moon in the sign of Leo at 12°.  This is a time to plant seeds in your garden of life related to the energies of Leo.

2024 Leo New Moon

The Moon being placed in Leo brings out warmth and generosity and will enhance one’s image.  There is always a degree of resilience and know-how when it comes the energies of Leo.  You may feel as though you want to be in control of situations, especially a new one as this is what might be on the horizon at this time.  As mentioned, the New Moon cycle is often the beginning stages, when we can puts into action things that we have been planning or laying the foundation for what is yet to come.  This is the time to start action/planning and move ahead with exuberance and enthusiasm.

The 2024 Leo New Moon will also be making a sextile to Jupiter which will be at 14° in the sign of Gemini.  The Moon and Jupiter are forming a positive aspect (sextile) which can bring forth opportunities and a general feeling that things will be alright.

Check to see which house this Lunar position is activating in your natal chart and if it touches another planet in the birth chart.  The house position will give you indications of what areas of life might be involved.  Transiting Jupiter’s position by house and sign will give you more info due to its sextile to the moon. 

If this New Moon affects your chart, you may push forward with great optimism and bravery, daring to move forward with your objectives.  You may feel bold in your actions and would love it if others would also notice and be proud of you for what you are planning on doing.  The more people behind you, the better.  You will also feel quite generous at this time, and those that want to join in may find that down the road if all works out well, they too will be happy about the outcome. Usually, the culmination point of a new moon is when the Full Moon is in the same sign, some six months from now (February 12, 2025). 

Watch for being overly optimistic about reaching your goals but pursue them anyway.  With Jupiter being part of the process moving forward, you can expect bigger and, in many cases, more rewarding outcomes as you move ahead.  If you like what you see along the way, watch for too much self-acknowledgement as the ego in this alignment can be quite significant. You don’t want others to get the wrong impression.  You may feel the need to blow your own horn prior to the actual achievement, and the results may appear to be more successful to you than what they actually are.  Exaggeration is often part of the picture, but optimism and continued efforts are what makes things happen.

This New Moon’s position at 12° Leo should be within 3° in conjunction with or in opposition to a planet in your natal chart for it to have a more pronounced effect in your life.  The natal potential must always be present.

Whatever goals you are setting around the 2024 Leo New Moon beware of being over optimistic but pursue your goals anyway (with ego in check) because opportunity is at hand.
