Uranus is in the sign of Aries and has been in this sign since 2011. It will remain in Aries until March of 2019. The planet Uranus is known as the awakener and stirs activity into areas of life that not only need stimulation but also need a new direction. Uranus’ action is often abrupt and comes at you in directions that you might not expect; therefore, it often causes unforeseen events to manifest. If, for example, you have Uranus moving over the MC you could expect changes in the area of your occupation, your status in life and your aspirations. When Uranus is in Aries, it sometimes pushes you into uncharted territory and suggests that you move forward in new adventures. The Sun, whether it is the natal or progressed Sun, speaks of your vitality, energy and your ability to recuperate. It also deals with the ego, ambition and governs the success you are able to attain in life. The Sun also is representative of the Father and other male authority figures prominent in your life. The progressed Sun moves one degree per year and over a period of your lifetime will not move too far from its original position at birth. It will make semi-sextile to the natal Sun at 30, the semi-square at 45 and the sextile at 60. For those lucky enough to live into their nineties, they will experience the square at age 90. It will also make many aspects throughout your lifetime to other planetary placements in the birth chart, including the ascendant. In order for it to reach the ascendant, the natal Sun must be within 90 degrees of the ascendant (11th -12th house) at birth to make any connections to this very significant placement. The effects of the Progressed Sun on your ascendant would be a three year aspect and the middle year is the most significant as this will be when it becomes direct and 0 degrees in separation to this placement. This conjunction can produce both challenging conditions and easy reinforcing life conditions that will aid you in moving forward in life. This is partly due to the transits that will make contact to this placement over this period of time. When a conjunction occurs there are often potential opportunities for advancement in the profession. At times people in authority will aid the individual in achieving their goals and will become a motivating factor. In some cases these opportunities come to the father. In a woman’s chart, this is often a time of marriage or engagement and opportunities for meeting up with a suitable suitor are enhanced, especially if the Vertex is involved or Venus and Jupiter. The progressed Sun moves one degree per year. The progressed Sun in the natal chart governs ambition, power and authority. It also regulates our vitality and the ability to recuperate from illnesses. It often identifies the husband or father in a woman’s chart as well as authority figures in life such as your superiors within the working environment. It could, however, also be directly related to you. The influence of the progressed Sun on the Midheaven or ascendant is generally in effect for three years. The energies can be felt as much as one and one-half degrees before it becomes direct and the same period after it moves away from being exact. When the progressed Sun is in conjunction with the natal ascendant, it can indicate a time of advancement in life on many levels. This could include favourable opportunities for change in life and opportunities for inner achievement and/or outer success. It can also indicate the potential for meeting someone in life that has a great influence over you and will teach you many life lessons. It could also suggest that the father or in some cases your son have available to them opportunities that the aspect and placement suggests. These influences would be of a positive note if there are other conditions within the chart that suggest similar opportunities. The progressed Sun on the ascendant often implies that the health is robust and feelings linked to good health is often a by-product. Much depends on the influence of other transits and progressions affecting the ascendant during the three year period of influence. When the progressed Sun is in conjunction to the midheaven depending on the age of the individual, we may find advancement opportunities in our occupation or may graduate from University. Some of life’s objectives often materialize when the progressed Sun reaches this degree. More opportunities for our hopes and wishes to manifest are often indicated when the Progressed Sun reaches the MC (midheaven). Changes of a positive nature to our status may occur or present themselves. Much depends on the natal potential, but the time is ripe for opportunities to enhance our career or move ahead in life during this aspect. If the Progressed Sun were conjunct the MC, it would also be in opposition to the IC often suggesting changes to the home environment and to our family members. Oppositions usually imply actions from someone else. This could suggest that a son or possibly a daughter might move from home especially if Venus or Mars is somehow connected to this position. According to the American Ephemeris, we will be having a Gemini Full Moon on November 25th at 22:45. In order to have a Full Moon, the Sun has to be in direct opposition. During this Gemini Full Moon or Beaver Full Moon, the sun will be in opposition to the moon 3 degrees 20 minutes Sagittarius. This Full Moon is more powerful than most as we will also have Mercury and Saturn in Sagittarius conjunct the Sun as well. It will be particularly strong in your chart if you have any planets or important points (MC or ASC) between 2-8 degrees of any sign. The conjunctions, oppositions and the squares will be the most significant but the trine and sextile will also have an impact if you have anything in your birth chart at these degrees. As indicated in previous full moon posts, the Full Moon is a time to harvest our goals which were previously planted during a New Moon. Gemini often suggests that several ideas may have been mulled around during the planting of the seeds for your goals. If we breakdown our ideas and perhaps choose just one or even two of these goals to focus on, the harvest can be rewarding. Any project that involved study and learning or perhaps literature will be suitable to harvest under Gemini’s influence. If we decided to continue our education in some way, we may now be seeing how these seed can be manifested. If we have scattered our energies in too many directions, we may now find that most of these ideas or adventures we previously embarked on have little chance of returning any benefits. The key under a Gemini Moon is to pick one focus, which could be difficult to do, but the chances for success are greater if you narrow down your choices to one or two. If you entered into a written agreement or other form of communication or contract, you may find that your work is now nearing an end and things are now reaching culmination. Our expectations of our visions or quests set the standards of how far you will go with our intentions.
