LEO NEW MOON 2025

This is a significant New Moon coming up on July 24, 2025 because it receives several aspects from different outer planetary placements. 

Leo New Moon

This New Moon will be in the sign of Leo at 2°.  It receives aspects from Pluto at 2° Aquarius which is an Opposition, a Trine from Saturn and Neptune which are 1° and 2° respectively in Aries, and Uranus which is 0° in the sign of Gemini making a Sextile. 

New Moon’s suggest that it is the appropriate time to begin something new, make plans and orchestrate an action plan.  When the New Moon is in Leo, these energies will relate to self-proposed goals.  This indicates moving ahead with confidence with whatever you set in place and that there will be a strong potential for success.  You may have a strong feeling that you know what is best, and you will push ahead with confidence and assert your individuality regardless of any pushback.  The press for success is strong and it stems from the heart.  What you do now will have an influence on others in a positive way.

You can be assertive with your plans although with the Opposition from Pluto there is a suggestion that this will manifest in ways that regenerate and transform conditions that others may not approve of, or that others believe should include their input.  Others may want to direct your actions in ways that suit them or offer advice that may stagnate or change the direction you have in mind.  Other options are important, but you believe you know the best way forward. You likely will not listen to their advice as they may tend to dictate rather than conform to your ideologies.

At the same time, there is a positive relevance stemming from transiting Saturn and Neptune.  Neptune helps with your vision and creative potential, while Saturn offers stability and structure which may be required as you move forward to create some lasting results.  Reality sets in due to Saturn’s influence, and you understand that the path forward might not flow as smoothly as you might want it to. Your chances for success are highlighted because of the placement of these two planetary energies.

The Sextile from Uranus, which also has strong implications, will be in effect into the fall of this year (2025).  Uranus is about creating change because what has been in place now needs to be revamped or the direction of things needs to move out of complacency and into a new and better direction.  Uranus is known as the awakener and can bring sudden insights into the picture helping you to progress in new areas because of what you set out to do during this time frame.

The house locations of these transiting planets along with the placement of this New Moon in your Natal chart provides insight into the areas of life involved.  Check to see if other natal positions come into play as well, especially a Conjunction or Opposition to the New Moon’s placement of 2° Leo.  The overall chart will have to be delineated carefully to get the full picture.

REFUSE TO COMPROMISE

Once you have done your due diligence, follow through with commitment and refuse to compromise.  As the saying goes, “Stick to One’s Guns”! 

We often make resolutions at the beginning of a New Year but few of us actually carry through.  We make a decision, but something comes along, and it just seems too difficult to continue, or we get sidetracked.

Refuse to Compromise

There are many excuses from “It’s too hard”, “I will surly fail”, “It’s not how I hoped it would be”, “it doesn’t really matter”, “I don’t have a problem”, and the list goes on and on.  More often than not, there are roadblocks to success, but most of these roadblocks stem from our mind. Our mind manufactures the excuse, and we follow blindly.

The resolution (or call it whatever you like) must be attainable, and you have to weigh this out in the planning process. You push yourself in the beginning but when the going gets tough, you give up. Is this laziness?

In reality, you hold yourself back by accepting the mind’s excuses (better known as empty chatter). Make a real commitment to your goals and take one step at a time.  It is not a race, it is a journey.

If your mind gives you an excuse to quit, ask it why? If it gives one of its ridiculous excuses, counter that excuse with a positive reason to continue. You are NOT your mind!

The old say goes, “nothing worth having comes easy”.  For every thought that stands in the way, there is a positive thought that helps you to achieve what you set out to do. 

Do not give up. Believe in yourself! Remind yourself to do your best. If you stumble, get right back up and step forward again. Why would you want to stay down?

After the first success, reaching the next goal will come a little easier because you will now have more confidence.  Refuse to compromise.  Stick to your guns. You’ve got this!

SUN IN CAPRICORN DECEMBER 21, 2024

Sun in Capricorn December 21, 2024

On December 21 the Sun moves from the Mutable Fire sign of Sagittarius into the Cardinal Earth sign of Capricorn.  Sagittarius is very much about exploration and as we move into Capricorn, we carry forward the need for exploration but we now move into the area of success and what that might mean. 

Cardinal signs are known for action and decisiveness and want to achieve what they set out to do.  They do this with perseverance, persistence and especially in the case of Capricorn with conviction.  Capricorn knows that the ladder of success is not always an easy one, but that with hard work and achievement-oriented goals, the only thing that holds us back is our inability to push forward or obstruction from others.

In many cases, the ladder of success has to do with material achievement but there are exceptions. Sometimes, this can be very personal and may entail something important and that perhaps requires dedication and yes, a lot of work. 

Saturn is Capricorn’s ruling planet, and it always insists on hard work and a diligent effort in order to achieve what we set out to do, but Saturn’s rewards are often sustainable and produce structures that can stand the test of time. Capricorn knows that the effort is worth the struggle if that is what is required.

Most Capricornians are steadfast and reliable and are usually placed over time in a position of authority as they are good at enticing others into action.  They are leaders, and often not very good followers, unless those that are in positions above them can be viewed from a place of appreciation and with a degree of respect.  Capricorn’s themselves want respect and will work hard to make a name for themselves.

If by chance you find these characteristics do not fit, it would be important to look deeper into the chart and figure out why, especially if you are not goal oriented.  There can be many significators that can modify this energy, but most Capricorn people have some or many of these traits in common. 

Capricorn individuals are emotional but may have a hard time showing others this sensitive part of who they are.  They appear professional and do not like to show any type of perceived weakness.  They do not like criticism although if the criticism is valid, they will do what it takes to correct things.  Capricornians want to be viewed as diligent, and having the ability required to meet certain standards, they will work extra hard to prove this to others.  Some can be too restrictive and need to find ways to lighten up and enjoy life a little more.  Achievement, although the end result, does not have to be the only end in life.  Success is important but sometimes we learn more from our mistakes than from our achievements.
